"What?" The two robos is horrified.
"Don't fail me too many. Don't rebel me. Don't hinder my agendas in any way whatsoever." The hedgehog brought Miles and Enerjak out. "If you continue to mess up, and I snap at you... I will erase your existence over and over and over and over and over again!" *evil laughter*
As the three leaves, the two robots jumped back up, and became pissed off.
"How dare those Wisps, giving that accursed blue asses a fighting chance..." Circler is enraged. "They'll pay for it!"
"That's it! We're destroying the Wisps by force!" Cubester declared. "We'll suck the Hyper-go-ons out of them, and shred the bodies before they can get the Color Powers back!"
"Sonic, are you sure those Wisps give that Sonic a fighting chance?" Enerjak questioned. "We can't just allow Sonic to use them and go like Final Color Blasters on our troops."
"Anyone can use the Hyper-go-ons, and those power alone is more powerful than even Master Emerald!" The hedgehog noted. "And I had to keep Sonic and co. away from those powers because the Wisps just wouldn't bow to me! Especially like, I'm Sonic!"
"They treats you like a... different Sonic, so they would be suspecting you and refuse to share their powers to us." Miles added.
"Exactly, that's why we had to make sure none of our opposition get Hyper-go-on." Enerjak agreed.
"Right. We have to check in and find the Wisps, so we know what we are dealing with." The hedgehog steps down. "We're going downstairs. It's more discreet that way."
Elise accidentally bumped on Enerjax, right on his Knuckles-tribe robe.
"I'm sorry!" Elise bowed down to apology. "I was rushing to report."
"What did you find, royalty?" The hedgehog asked. "Be honest.
"i found the unified army. They used the Wisps, destroyed our Zeti, and broke our fortress wall!" Elise reported. "The unified army was able to infiltrate, and they are doing so!"
Meanwhile...
"Because we are a crowd, we cannot stealth properly!" Robotnik complained.
"And not all of us can hide in any plain sight." Sage sighed.
"Well, time to conceal our existence using the World Rings." Amy holds the World Rings.
"And the Phantom Ruby." Infinite went for the World Rings. "Give me those rings."
"Ok, bully... jackal." Amy deflatedly gave Infinite the World Rings. "Use it wisely. We can't be scrapped by power lust."
The Avatar then activated their Ruby on the World Rings, and Infinite reluctantly did the same. This formed a massive cognitive filter that masks the existence of the unified army, not only effectively making them invisible and muting their voices to the outside, but also allowing them to move through walls and objects at will.
"The tower is tall as... morning!" Billy Hatcher gasped at the size of the castle. "It's even bigger than we first thought we we saw it!"
"Footprint efficiency. The base floor is directly below us. Pretty interesting architectual choices." Luke walks by. "And woah, we're so close to being caught."
Cue the warning siren, notifying the forces that the unified army is infiltrating the castle. Cue the corrupted Eggforcers frantically rushing the find the army.
"Hey, guys..." Boom!Sonic clears throat. "How did you get affected by the Hyper Genesis Wave and find yourself in the unified world of Shattered Mobius?"
"When we was living in our times and places, minding our business, our respective worlds flashed before our eyes, and we along with our things and more, got into this world instantly." Ken explained. "We didn't remember anything about the unified world until we saw a pack of comics we showed you yesterday."
"So we tried to fix everything we saw and perhaps get back, but it was no use. NiGHTS wasn't effective. Celestial Brush was useless! No miracle spawned from the eggs! Dural and Psycho Power couldn't do anything to this world!" Issun added. "It was even worse than when Sigma tried to attain godhood by sapping on worlds' energies! Far worse!"
"We were stuck without a way to get back." Selvaria added.
"And we're forced to reunite and gather." Knight Arthur added.
"Reality itself crushed into one planet..." Ichiban Kasuga drinks a liquor.
"We settled on the base that collapsed this morning. Gathering everything we needed, and bring out with recruits. Learning the other worlds we got." X added. "Once we recruited both versions of Xander, we realized that the worlds have collided again. We found out what exactly happened... and found out who did it."
"The hedgehog you calls 'Shatter'... Is that an alia for evil me, or is..." Sonic grumped.
"That's what he calls himself. In the fortnight leading to your recruit, we were able to piece out his nature." Mega Man continued. "He is too similar to you. But he is far more evil than any of us or our adversaries thus far."
Classic Sonic nodded.
"He clearly tortured Merlina. I beat her when she tried to use Underworld to save her kingdom and make it eternal. I gave a flower, and spoke out the fact. She's clearly living happier life since." Sonic put Merlina as an example. "But when that hedgehog met her, he mocked her for failing to save her kingdom from Mordred and so. But the Underground eternity was the worse one out of Merlina's acts. That scabbard's cursed, its immortality's something I rejected for the kingdom."
"Apparently, me and Knucks as Lancelot and Gawain, respectively, fell off each other to break the Round Table, the King Arthur getting struck down, and Mordred leads to the fall of the kingdom... So that was what she used to try to prevent." Shadow got it. "Unleashing the Underground just to induce immortality to the kingdom with the scabbard... Seems like Sonic put the kingdom back on real track, and saved the wizard."
"Which makes the hedgehog's mocking all the worse. Merlina's traumatized by his words!" Sonic recalled. "I also think he kidnapped our Rouge, some 'Boom' friends, Orbot, Cubot, Omega E-123, Cream, Chao, Gemerl and more."
"He's so petty." Mega Man added. "He also have dangerous sadism... and is pragmatic enough to put it to good use without it interfering with his acts."
"He's a more dangerous foil to you, weakling with powerful device!" Shadow recalled.
"You!" Infinite is offended.
The army
"Well, we're entering the castle. Specifically its seemingly hollow first floor, held by hundreds of ultra-strong pillars of the Grim." Nine exclaimed.
The unified army was able to evade the sight and noise. The Delphinus and the Gaia Temples was also affected, and thus was completely invisible to the forces.
"Eggforcers can't see or hear us." Thorn Rose smirked. "Sisters, get into the basement portal!'
"A Genesis Portal in the middle of the floor! This takes us to the storage room, right besides the base floor!" Mega Man called. "We have checked in before, while sneaking in properly. Now we can enter!"
"Jump to the portal!" Boom!Stick jumped out of the filter and into the portal.
The army jumped in, successfully evading the notice of the Eggforcers. At this time, The three are down to the first floor.
"There is nobody..." The hedgehog is frustrated. "Everyone! Check the outside!"
The storage room is actually a realm surrounded by the entire base floor. The unified army hides in there, keeping the filter and decided to lunch. After a quick lunch, they went to sleep.
"Get energy and stamina for the evening..." Sonic took a nap.
The army went to sleep. Cue a transition from the waking side of the world, to the dreams.
"Sonic... Sonic... We missed you..."
"Sonic!"
Two feminine voices went through Sonic, and he got up in a dream world.
"Huh? where am I?" Sonic got up.
"It's me, Sally Acorn!" A chipmunk revealed herself. "Princess, tactician, friend!"
"I don't know you existed!" Sonic have no idea. "And where exactly is this dream world?"
"Sonic? You forgot us? All of us?" Sally is shocked. "You were an integral part of us Freedom Fighters!"
"Me? The Freedom Fighters? I had the Resistance." Sonic is confused. "Speaking of the Resistances, I joined them because of the Phantom Ruby. The Ruby which create and manipulate illusions, imposing them on reality itself. User's mind make it real."
"I don't think what you said happened." A lynx covered in digital aura have no idea.
"What is this... glitching girl?" Sonic noticed. "She looks straight from the comics!"
"It's NICOLE, the holo-lynx. I came from this handheld my best friend has." The lynx introduced herself. "You can spell that 'Nicole'. It's fine either way."
"You're like... Sage but more kind." Sonic is surprised. "And what's this? A handheld computer?"
"A PDA." Nicole confirmed.
"What's going on, strangers?" Sonic asked the two. "Do you... exist?"
"I thought I don't exist anymore. Lack of deroboticization didn't help." Sally revealed to be a robian. "It took a while to get used to the new world I ended up in. It's a long story, so I'll make this quick..."
The three walks around the dream world, which currently resembles the old world a version of Sonic used to inhabit.
"I got roboticized by Eggman and his empire. Becoming the Robian like those originally targeted by my father. And after all the mistake I did... I got transported into a new world. One that looks like your, based on Nicole's study." Sally explained. "The experience was horrible. I had to live my way in the new world, stuck in old world's mech and realize my hypocrisy."
As the two explains their re-existence, Sonic became increasingly confused as the call goes on. Turns out this was just a version of Sonic's world, with a different set of catalysts.
"Thanks, but no." Sonic admitted. "I'm not from that new world. I am from another timeline. Another world. Another zone."
"What!?" The two are shocked.
"Well, this is literally the first time I've ever met you two. You're used with the other me." Sonic confirmed. "I dealt with whoever... you will have... wait, do I have precognition or flash sideways now? Anyways, I beat whatever I dealt with, and went on my own way."
"You don't recognize us?" Nicole thought so.
"Only from the comics. Some comics the new unified army gave me yesterday. I" Sonic then proceed to explain how. "Also, a while after that dark moon attacked the dimensions, I came by some pillars from the Grim. I had to report and reunite with my allies. Some of them were missing. I formed an alliance with Eggman, and then got flicked into a crashed time of mine, the Glitched Hills. Reuniting with my past and many others, that when I learned of the mysterious hedgehog's existence."
"What? You mean the Phantom Ruby and-" Sally is shocked.
"Paradox Prism. Specifically, that hedgehog is using an overclocked Ruby and the whole Prism. He was able to raze through the multiverse, take the things and formed an empire." Sonic continued. "His works, inheriting the Chaos Council's collective genius, ended up causing the Hyper Genesis Wave, just after my team recruited the Shatterspace guys. We fell down into the unified world, and upgraded, and then went to the rest of the unified army, and became a freaking alliance!"
"Hyper Genesis Wave?" Nicole heard that. "Hold on... Genesis..."
"The wave not only crushed the entire multiverse and all its timelines into one world! One massive, twisted zone!" Sonic continued. "It was proven worse than a Super Genesis Wave, and the team only survived because my Shadow did a Chaos Control on the vessel the team were in!"
"What!? Super Genesis Wave!?" The two are shocked. "So you're relating to when... our world got..."
"Hey! Sticks, the 'Boom' one!?" Sonic called Boom!Stick. "You have to explain something to make sense of everything! You can break the fourth wall!"
"You want your backstory back?" Amy's voice echoed through the dream world.
"Amy? Where should I find... huh?" Sonic is confused.
"Amy?" The two heard it.
"I will guide you." The voice suggested. "Go this way."
The three followed where the voice says they should go. Navigating through the projections of the original Mobius, the three also spotted some glitches in the space. From there, a voice of a Shadow - the Shadow who was taking the Paradox Prism out of the equation - called the three.
"Shadow?" The two lost has noticed.
"This Shadow! You're alive!" Sonic was able to tell apart of the Prime!Shadow. "I'm in the dream world, while sleeping with my Shadow."
"Do not trust her!" Prime!Shadow panicked. "She's taking you into a trap!"
"Ignore that pest! Go this way!" The voice refuted.
"What?" Sonic is confused.
"What in the Mobius..." Sally is still running.
"Just keep going, don't listen to the pest!" The voice dismissed Prime!Shadow.
"NO! Listen to me, not that Amy!" Prime!Shadow seems to be insane. "I knew what was happening... the second Super Genesis Wave... the day the Overclocked has rifted... the time when worlds collide again..."
"He's leaving you astray!" The voice interrupted. "Just go! My way! Here!"
"Two voices pulling us..." Sonic is disappointed. "Well, I'm listening to both. There's a way out, and we need to know everything while we get there."
"Agreed." Nicole flying alongside Sally. "Friend, let's keep going."
The three went on, and the Mobius became... the Cyber Space. Sonic was quick to recognize the place.
"Wait... Somebody merged the dream world with... Cyber Space." Sonic figured it out. "Amy, what's going on here?"
"Keep going, Sonic the freak!" The voice mocked Sonic, putting him off and disturbing the other two.
And soon enough, the three ended up on a recreation of the Prime Green Hills.
"Isn't that... the other Green Hills?" Sonic gets suspicious. "What in the ring is going on here, girls?"
