Boruto isn't mine. Happy reading..
The portal was a direct window-like passage to Kathedral since it was in the same dimension as Spades.
I and Konohamaru came to the gate steps of Kathedral which unexpectedly was white and clean from the last time I was here. Back then, the verandahs were deserted and was untidy for not being looked after for so long. But ever since Great-grandpa and Uncles Keethan and Amnesté are here, I guess it's natural that Kathedral will be clean at the moment.
Kathedral was actually situated at the metaverse dimension of Elysium. In other words, a layer of dimension further from where Elysium is situated. It is filled with clouds everywhere, even though the palace is grounded to the earth. It's monumental structure is similar to that of Olympus, since Sandro Botticelli, the painter himself, inspired the architects of Kathedral to follow the Classical Greek style. (It was believed that Sandro Botticelli was member of the Botticelli clan, but in reality he just adored our clan and took our family name as his own. His whereabouts were unknown untill we heard that he became a famous painter in the real dimension. Yes, the man was a dimension traveller.)
We stood at the gate steps for a while admiring the very tall structures of the pillars. Then we began to climb the steps of Kathedral to meet my great-grandfather.
Konohamaru grew tired on climbing the steps whereas I kept using my telekinesis to raise myself.
"Come on Aka, just a few more!" I said as he reached the third last step.
"I guess this seems like some sort of test, on whether I can enter your family, Nee-sama.." He said.
"That must be your illusion Aka.. I'm pretty sure they're gonna accept you the same way my dad did." I said happily.
"We know how that went well.." He muttered.
"Relax baby. I got this. Just do as Mama says." I said jokingly.
He blushed at that and turned his face away.
We went to the verandah that lead to the throne hall. As we went pillars surrounded us on both sides and it let some sunlight in as Elysium had access to the Sun even if it was in the Underworld.
We entered the throne hall to see Shikaku-san/ Great-grandfather Adamantine sitting in grandfather's throne reading a large ancient book.
"Pee-Paw?" I ventured.
He turned up from his book and smiled at us.
"Welcome Kalāra. It's good to have you back home, dear." He said.
I went and gave him a hug. Konohamaru stood awkwardly behind us.
"You've grown old, miha ("dear one" in Kathedron language)."
"I know Pee-Paw. Can't help it. I'm older than my own parents! Can you believe it?"
"Yes, yes.."
He looked from me and towards Konohamaru.
"Hello Shikaku-san." He said nervously.
"Hello, honourable grandson."
"Please don't call me that. It makes me miss my grandfather too much." Konohamaru said.
"Alright then. I know why you both have came here for." He took a black-silver dagger from his person and revealed it to us.
I took it delicately with hands. I could feel the spirit of Than within the blade, the dark aura through its vibrations.
"Thank you, Pee-Paw. I owe you one." I said.
"I hear that you got married to him." He said pointing towards Konohamaru.
"Well, yeah..sort of.. it's a bit.. complicated.." I said.
"How did the others take it?" Shikaku-san asked.
"Dad didn't take it very well. Mom was ok. Uncle Abigore was cool with it. Uncle Amnesté didn't say anything about it."
"Miha, I need to talk to you.."
We stood a bit away from Konohamaru.
"You need to do the marriage duel."
"But we already did." I said.
"When?" He asked
"When we were in Spades. Grandma was our mediator."
He smiled at me and then looked at Konohamaru with a serious look.
"And you.." he said to Konohamaru.
"Yes sir?" He asked cautiously.
"Take care of my great-grandchild."
Konohamaru had a quiet determination in his eyes.
"I will."
