The robotic copy of Tails, with nanomachine dual tails that morphs and shift - the same one that kidnapped Volnutt earlier - emerged down from the portal which then closed. The robot has the appearance in the line of the Grim robots Nine used to create (and by extension, the Chaos Council's Chao Sonic). The nanomachine tails, the ears and the general build and size make it vaguely resemble Tails himself.

"It look like... Something I created, but me!?" Nine is scared.

"Grim... what?" Prime!Rouge stepped back.

"It looks like... me!?" Tails is shocked.

The visor in it is yellow with light eyes for expression. Just like the Grim robots.

"Grim... Tails." Boom!Stick in disbelief.

"Everyone!" Vyse shouted.

Grim Tails attacked everyone, making use of its nanomachine tails. The unified army struck the machine as bunch of numeral advantages, but the tails are effective enough to fend them off. Its computing power directs the nanomachine to avoid and refute damage.

"It can fly too! Shoot!" NiGHTS attempts to keep up with Grim Tails.

The Heroes of Tommorrow whipped up firearms to shoot the robot, while Billy Hatcher and friends rolled some Moon Mech from Zazz to disorientate and ram the robot. The Robot Masters, thankfully equipped with the Double Gear System, were able to interfere the Grim Tails, with Time Man using both gears to power up his Time Stop.

"Ha! With Double Gear System, I can stop anything!" Time Man laughed.

Only for Grim Tails blitz off and knock Time Man off, then shred him with its tails. Turns out the robot's equipped with an improved version of the Double Gear.

"What the!?" X is shocked. "It got the Double Gear! And even worse..."

"Good thing I have a perfected cooling system! Thanks Doctor!" Mega Man activated both gears and let the cooling system handle the heat. "Double Gear!"

It was not enough to directly keep up with Grim Tails, forcing Rock to spam the super-charged shots from his Mega Buster. However, the Grim robot was able to block a super shot with its bare hand, then whacked another with its tails to deflect to Mega Man.

"No!" Ryu-5 D-Dived. "Odjn! That shot!"

The transformed former 1/8192 took the hit for Mega Man, saving the heroic Blue Bomber but knocking th draconic transformation off. A few Pink Wisps came to aid, but Grim Tails was able to grab one of them, crush it with bare hand and thus killing it, absorb the hyper-go-on and spun the tails into an energy sawblade.

"Watch out!" Reala warned JP and Alex Kidd.

"Alex!" Stella screamed in shock.

Grim Tails threw the sawblade with its tails. the sawblade then homes to JP and alex, but Knight arthur got into the way and took the hit instead, which merely knocked his armors off.

"Wow. Harnessing the Hyper-go-ons?" Knight Arthur shrugged. "Thanks goodness I had my armors!"

Grim Tails got ambushed by Zero with his saber, but a Blue Wisp was crushed and a cube blocked the light blade.

"What the!?" Zero is shocked.

Grim Tails kicked the cube, knocking Zero away and into Axl, putting the two tumbling down. The Avatar came to rescue, and cue the Phantom Ruby effect which stunned the robot.

"Go, Sonic, go!" The Suicide Squad then barraged with their firearms.

"Infinite Mass... Spin Dash!" Sonic went Cycloop to accelerate the Vibration, and then boosted to Spin Dash to Grim Tails.

This finally knocked the robot off to the way to the rest of 3rd floor, allowing Sonic to finish it off with the Exacalibur and the downer three World Rings. Sonic becomes Darkspine Excalibur Sonic using the Speed Force to vibrate to make way for both transformations, and...

"Final Color Blaster!" Cue the Blue Blur and a bunch of differently-colored Wisps blitzing to Grim Tails.

The impact exploded, breaking the entry and destroying the robot. It also vaporized nearby Eggforcers.

"Huh?" Turn out, there are some Roboticized Masters walking around, guarding the third floor. "Intruders!"

"Finally! We are done! Now we can proceed!" The Eggmen then escaped the room.

"Ugh... those three powers won't get together with the Speed Force." Sonic got up. "Done. The Grim Tails is destroyed."

The unified army stuck together and got out of the room and advanced in the third floor... but the Roboticized Masters were quick to block the ways before they could advance much further.

"The Roboticized Masters!?" The army found out.

"Intruders! The resistance!" A Tails Man spotted the entire army.

"Oh. I think we can do Spin Dash Blast as well as let the powers strike them down." Sonic scoffed. "The only difficult part is... there's so much of them, even in each types."

Cue a Knuckles Man punching Ken Masters in his face.

"Yeah... how about we use their powers against themselves?" Dr. Wily suggested.

Cue a massive brawl against the Roboticized Masters. Sonic and Mega Man led the way, revisiting the Spin Dash Blast... this time with both Speed Force and the Double Gear system, something that all Roboticized Masters now possesses.

"Wisps! Go!" Ryu blocked barrages of heavy-hitting strikes from the power of the Power Gear, and easily spits out blood.

"Boost!" Various White Wisps empowered the army, allowing them to keep up and fend the Roboticized Masters.

Nina-5 reached out for a Cyan Wisp, and ended up harnessing it. Cue a barrage of Cyan Lasers stunning the Roboticized Masters.

"Double Gear... Spin Dash Blast!" Both blue heroes did the combination empowered by Speed Force vibration and the Double Gear, and homed into several Roboticized Masters at once.

In one fell swoop, nearly one-third of the Roboticized Masters got destroyed. The result was a bunch of animal friends released.

"Flickies!?" Thorn Rose is shocked.

"What the!?" Team Chaotix are shocked.

"Oh no!" Shadow gasped.

"Fuck it. FUCK OFF!" A Shadow Man spammed the Power Gear-boosted Chaos Cannon everywhere to the army.

The army is bombarded by Chaos Control, but Infinite and the Avatar were able to counter it using the Phantom Rubies overclocked by the Eggmen and Tailses. Turns out, each Phantom Ruby was originally a Master Emerald from a destroyed timeline, world, zone.

"Ha! Nicole told me so! And Sage too." Sonic laughed. "Now... let the powers face off!"

"You mean we control those machines?" Master Zik knocked with his staff. "Zeti... now!"

The Deadly Six used their innate technopathy enhanced by the White Wisps to control the Roboticized Masters, forcing them to fight each other. The army awaited the Roboticized weakness to each another's weapon...

-*blasts*

It didn't work. The weaknesses were removed and patched, so no Roboticized Master can destroy each other or get destroyed by one another anymore.

"What!? The weaknesses are purged!?" The Zeti are shocked.

"Damn it!" Dr. Wily threw a tantrum.

"Fine." The two then Spin-Dash-Blasted half of the remaining Roboticized Masters just as the technopathy expires.

"Oh no! We've been manipulated by the Zeti! Thanks goodness our weaknesses are fixed!" A Silver Man fled. "Masters, get out! We're being busted!"

All the remaining Roboticized Masters fled the scene, using the emergency exits which are hidden through Genesis Portals.

"They fled." Sonic shrugged. "Let's get to the fourth floor. Quick!"

Soon enough, the unified army arrived at the gateway to the stairs leading to the 4th floor. It's closed and locked.

"Let me." Sonic vibrated himself and phased through the gate.

"Huh." Eggman shrugged. "That hedgehog sure did clip through."

"Wait... now you're punching the fourth wall." Boom!Sonic cringed.

The gate opened, and so did the gate to the 4th floor. A confused Sonic pointed at the biometric device on the wall.

"Huh? This means..." Tails figured it out.

"Shatter is a variant of Sonic!" Zavok realized.

The rest of the unified army gasped.

"Unbelievable!" Roll is shocked.

"He's... an evil Sonic!" Robotnik then screamed, scaring Classic Sonic.

"Oh no. He... used to be me!?" Sonic is shocked. "Then his real name must be Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog! Me!"

The army arrived at the 4th floor, and caught some corrupted Eggforcers on the spot finding them. The numerical advantage easily doomed the dozens of Eggforcers in total.

"Ok, 5th floor!" Sonic phased through the gate again, and authorized.

The way to the 5th floor unlocked, and immediately the army arrived.

"Well, we covered four floors before the night starts!" Nina-3 laughed. "It's going quite decently!"

"Once we're done with this level, we will-" Eggman is then, alongside the army, interrupted by the Grim Zeti.

"Not so fast!" The Grim Zeti overloaded their counterparts, causing the Deadly Six great pain.

"They're going all out!" Sonic and Mega Man warned the rest of the army. "Everyone dispatch the Eggforcers!"

The army and half of the Wisps went to the Eggforcers on the go, while Sonic, Mega Man and the rest of the Wisps face off the Grim Zeti.

"Be careful!" Yacker and Shahra both warned.

"Well well well, wanna get scrapped again?" Sonic taunted the Grim Zeti.

The Grim Zeti turned out to have Double Gear System equipped, all to counter Sonic's Speed Force and Mega Man's own implementation. The six easily overpowered and out-speed the two, and were able to do with their arsenals enhanced as well. Cue the two heroes fending off a beatdown.

"I can barely react with them!" Mega Man is knocked off.

"Oh no... how do I tap more into the Speed Force- ow!" Sonic crashes down trying to strike Grim Zomom.

"Fuck you!" Grim Zeena knocked Rock's helmet off. "What you gets for destroying us!"

Sonic used Excalibur to parry Grim Zor and Grim Zik at once, and then the Speed Force to evade them and Grim Zazz. Mega Man spams the Double Gear shots at Grim Zomom, who shrugged with Power Gear and stepped with Speed Gear.

"They're tough, fast and strong!" Mega Man ran to the fourth floor. "I need to get to the improved-"

The way back to the fourth floor closed shut.

"No!" Mega Man screamed.

Grim Zavok grabs the Blue Bomber with killing intent.

"Hmph. Pathetic. You are not worth it." Grim Zavok scoffed.

Meanwhile, while busting some Eggforcers, Shadow (the Werehog) found three human-sized test tubes: one with a blue robot girl with blonde hair, and two with strangers. Shadow recognized the former, and crashed the first tube. It shatters, freeing the robot girl.

"Maria... I'm back..." *sobs*

"Mega!" Sonic finally managed to knock Grim Zavor, freeing Mega Man.

"Useless." Grim Zik, with the Speed Gear enabled, whacked sonic. "Brash one!"

The Grim Zeti then no-hold-barred beat the Blue Blur down, only cushioned by the Wisps' interference and the Excalibur blocking the hits.

"Fuck off!" Grim Zomom crushes a few Wisps.

"Ugh!" Grim Zor crushes two more.

"Help!" Sonic screamed.

"LEAVE. SONIC. ALONE!" Shadow ambushed the Grim Zeti as a werehog.

"Not again!" Grim Zazz is knocked down.

"Argh!" Sonic spits blood. "I'm bleeding!"

"Die!" The robot girl blasted the Grim Zeti.

"Huh? Who?" Mega Man noticed.

Shadow turned back to his hedgehog form, complete with his inhibitor rings. The robot girl waved her blonde hair.

"Shadow... you came... to rescue..." Sonic got up.

"Sonic! They're getting dangerous." Shadow warned Sonic. "Of course, we need as much help as we can get."

"Who is this girl?" Mega Man asked to the beauty. "She's a Robot Master?"

"Maria Robotnik. She was the one made me more peaceful. I protect our planet because of her." Shadow revealed. "It's a long story. More recently, she's been revived as a Roboticized Master."

"A cousin of Ivo? Eggman?" Sonic recalled Shadow's memory adventure (Shadow the Hedgehog). "Wait... she-"

"You're... Sonic the Hedgehog? A hero..." Maria finally get to meet Sonic in person. "What's going on?"

"I'm a hero alright! But everything's complicated. Help us!" Sonic pointed at the Grim Zeti.

"How dare you..." Grim Zavok targeted Maria. "MARIA ROBOTNIK!"

"You look like a grown-up woman-" Sonic is shocked at what's happening, and he's tripped by Grim Zik's robotic staff.

The Grim Zeti charged at the resurrected girl, but...

"Longinuslanze!" A female voice screeched the area.

"Yaoyorozu!" A male voice as well.

Cue the Grim Zeti vaporized from the cross-slash.

"What the!?" Sonic and Mega Man both crouched down.

Two figures emerged, in casual clothes that Sonic couldn't even wrap his mind around, as if they're eldritch on the level of THE END.

"Where are we?" The male asked.

"Habaki... This isn't our world. No."

"Huh?" Sonic is confused. "Who are you? And what are these... weapons?"

"Crap!" The male is shocked. "Rindou! There are... some strange talking creatures!"

"Woah woah, calm down. It's a long story, alright?" Mega Man swooped in. "Let us explain what's-"

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" Elise's voice jumpscared Sonic and Mega Man.

"Who are you!?" Maria pulled out her literal hand cannon.

"Elise the Third! I repeat: you're being possessed by Solaris!" Shadow warned Elise.

"Solaris? Elise? Who?" Both figures are confused.

"Wait... Maria Robotnik!?" Elise found out. "And two of our guinea pigs..."

"Sorry, Solaris, but you messed with the wrong... expedition!" Sonic mocked Solaris inside Elise.

Elise groaned, and the voice disappeared.

"Are you gods?" Sonic asked. "Who are you?"

"You got to be kidding me, Maria. Why release two strangers would could kill us?" Shadow is exasperated. "The listing on the tubes said they're... Transcendent Gods. How can we stop them if they..."

"They're heroes. They protects their own world, just like you do these days, Shadow." Maria explained. "And with my illness behind me now, I can finally help them get back to their world, as well as help you save all existence."

"Habaki? Rindou? Are these your names?" Mega Man asked. "I am Mega Man, and this blue guy is Sonic the Hedgehog. Nice to meet you, please don't kill us."

"Yeah, what Rock says." Sonic agreed. "Welcome to our unified army!"

"I am Shadow the Hedgehog. The ultimate lifeform!" Shadow introduced himself.
