Well there goes my streak of updating this story daily, my internet decided it was cool to act dumb and slow, so I literally could not do anything. Never the less we are here now so on with the story.
The alarm is still blaring. The group all run to the center of the bottom row in the stands.
"Attention, all park goers must report to the south ferry docks for immediate evacuation, last ferry departs in two hours." Said a man's voice over a loud speaker.
"That's it?, no explanations, that's all we get." Brooklynn states slightly out of breath.
"We have to move, the only way we're gonna make it is if we run." Darius says as he and Kenji run up to them.
"Um." Sammy says looking back at Yasmina limping who refused to have Geleel help her walk for some reason. "Are you sure that's the best way to get there?" Sammy asked concerned.
"I'm fine." Yasmina states confidently. Geleel looks at her shaking his head.
"Trust me I've had injuries before, such as ankle sprains, and had I kept playing on those injuries I wouldn't be able to play properly and that would hurt the team not only me." Geleel says trying to reason with her.
"I've competed with a torn ACL, besides we should be way more worried about Ben and Bumpy." Yasmina says changing their attention to Ben and Bumpy who were moving at a rather slow pace.
As Ben reaches them he takes a few seconds to regain his breath. "What we should all be worried about is catching a boat out of here, and naturally, we have a problem, we're here." Ben says pulling a map out of his fanny pack and pointing at it as the rest huddle around him.
"We're here, the docks are at the southern tip of the island, even if we ran at peak Yas speed, there's no way we'd make the last boat out." Ben informs them.
"How do you know for sure Ben?" Geleel asked curiously.
Ben scoffs slightly. "I memorized the evacuation plan on the ferry ride over." Ben says as everyone groans.
Darius climbs up to a higher stair to project his voice. "Okay so, we need another way, um, can we use those somehow?" Darius suggests pointing at the kayaks.
"Or send someone to make the ferry people wait, or-" Darius is cutoff by Brooklynn.
"Or make a few jetpacks real quick, ohh, we should befriend a unicorn, face it, it's hopeless." Brooklynn says giving up.
Suddenly a woman's voice is heard speaking as the kids go to investigate it.
As they get there they realized it was the monorail. "Monorail, what what!" Kenji yells throwing his hands up.
"See what happens when you're so quick to give up Brooklynn?" Geleel asks with a smirk as Brooklynn rolls her eyes at him.
"Well played universe, well played." She said.
"Hurry!" Darius says as they all run to catch, or in Yasmina's case limp.
"We gotta move quick!" Geleel says staying behind with Ben and Yasmina.
"It's nice...having some company back here." Ben says.
Geleel tries to help Yasmina but she just speeds up a little. "I'm fine." She says dismissively as she shakes his heard.
"Come on Ben." Geleel says shaking his as they begin moving again.
As Brooklynn, Kenji, and Sammy run past the wall to the stairs they quickly turn around scared and run back hiding and cowering in fear.
"Uhh, are you guys good?, you're acting like you saw Toro or something." Geleel says with a chuckle as the three look at him with scares expressions as he was literally right.
"You've got to be kidding me." He says deadpanned.
Darius then comes running by wildly, but before he accidentally runs out into sight Brooklynn grabs his arm and shushes him he looks at everyone confused. He then notices Geleel sneaking over to the front of the wall to see something.
Geleel pokes his head out to see none other than Toro. He quickly pulls his head back breathing heavily. He pokes his head out again and realized Toro was occupied with a bin.
"Alright guys, just move." Geleel says running all the way to the stairs and hiding by the side of them. He makes the come foward signal as the other get up creeping over.
Before they can even make it half way they are forced to run back as Toro faced that direction now. He dropped the Bin he was playing with and made his way over to the hiding spot.
Geleel thinking fast picks up a rock and throws it at a nearby bin. The sound that is made distracts Toro as he walks over to investigate it.
As he makes his way over Geleel runs to the other stair side so that Toro doesn't see him. He then waves the others over as they run over to the stairs and begin crawling up them.
Geleel stays back to make sure they all make it up there safely. It was going smoothly until Toro decided to turn around and head that way. Yasmina had fell behind due to her injury and didn't realize Toro walking towards the stairs. Geleel just hugs her close to him as they both stayed quiet. It worked because Toro simply turned around and walked off.
At the front of the group Bumpy being a baby dinosaur with no care just ran knocking over a foam cup as it begins to fall down the stairs.
Brooklynn gasps as she tries to catch it, she suceeded but this made a loud crunching sound. They all stay still and quiet as they hear Toro growl.
They continued to crawl as Sammy, Kenji, Bumpy, and Brooklynn are the first to the top. "Mon-" Kenji was bout to exclaim as Sammy put a hand to his mouth as Brooklynn shushes him. Brooklynn points to the very bottom of the stairs and there stood Toro oblivious to them.
"Welcome to the jurassic world lagoon, next stop, ferry landing!" Exclaimed the speaker on the monorail.
This alerted Toro as he turned to them and gave a loud roar.
"Run!" Darius exclaimed as they opted to run instead of crawl now. Toro chases after them. He tries to chomp down on Ben, Ben however dodged both attacks that were thrown at him as Ben began running faster to escape.
As Toro got more and more up the stairs he started to slip and fall seeing as he was a huge theropod dinosaur with short arms so getting up stairs would be difficult.
As Darius and Geleel made it to the top they turn around to notice Ben and Yasmina falling behind, since Ben was out of shape, and Yasmina was injured. They both stumble as Toro trips causing the stairs to shake.
Darius and Geleel run back to help them. Darius grabs Ben and helps him to the top.
As Toro is trying to take a bite out of Yasmina who backs up in fear Geleel runs down and picks her up by the underarms and pulls her out of harms way.
After she's out of harms way he slings her arm over his shoulder and carries her to the top. As they make it there they noticed Kenji struggling to hold the doors of the monorail open.
As Geleel, Darius, Yasmina, and Ben, are almost to the monorail Toro makes it to the top of the stairs and roars menacingly. He then falls as the stairs crumble under his weight, they finally cave and he falls to the ground with a thud.
Everyone is now safely on the monorail as they all breathe heavily from yet another life threatening situation.
As the monorail takes off, Toro let's out a roar that basically was to say 'This isn't over!'
"No way, something bad always happens when we think we're safe, watch, the doors are gonna open." Kenji says dramatically. Sammy just scoffs and walks away.
"Okay, the train's gonna stop, because that's how this works." Kenji says to Brooklynn.
"Um, I'm pretty sure we're safe now." Brooklynn says walking away from him.
"Well we were until you said that." Kenji says not believing they were safe.
Back at the monorail station. Roxie and Dave's stolen jeep drives up.
"I'll check here, you check the stadium!" Dave exclaims as they both head out to search their respective areas.
"Kids!, Darius!" Roxie yells.
"Geleel!, Brooklynn!" Dave yells as he notices something in the water. He realized the kid's Kayaks.
"Oh no..." Dave said in a hush tone.
"They made it out!" Roxie exclaims as Dave runs over to her. "These look both posh and something tacky enough Kenji would wear." Roxie says giving Dave a pair of sunglasses with one lens missing.
"They're okay, I know it." Roxie reassures him.
"Welcome to the jurassic world lagoon." A voice says alerting them as they turn their attention to the monorail passing by. After looking hard they notice the kids.
"The kids, they're alive, hey guys!" Dave yells waving his flashlight as Roxie does the same.
"Hey, kids, kids!" Roxie yells aswell.
"Attention, all park goers must report to the south ferry docks for immediate evacuation, last ferry departs in ninety minutes." A voice says over a loud speaker.
"They're headed to the docks!" Roxie exclaims in realization.
"Well, it's time to ship out." Dave says putting on the broken sunglasses. His moment is ruined as they hear a loud roar, which belonged to Toro.
"Or let's just go." Dave said quietly as they both ran to their jeep. Toro roars again.
On the monorail it was very silent as the realization of success kicked in. "Guys, we did it, we're going home." Darius announces as everyone smiles at eachother.
"Woohoo!" Sammy exclaims jumping up on her seat scaring everyone but Darius and Geleel.
"Yea!" Darius exclaims as the did a little jump.
"Let's goooo!" Geleel yells jumping onto his seat too.
Everyone else except Kenji starts to do their own little celebration.
Darius and Geleel walk over to him to reassure him.
"It's cool man, we're good, we'll be at the main docks soon." Darius says putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Yea, believe it or not, fun loving idiot Kenji is more tolerable than pessimistic Kenji." Geleel adds with a chuckle.
"This calls for a celebration!" Brooklynn yells.
"I might be able to help with that." Ben said as he reached into his fanny pack and grabbed seven candy bars. "Stashed a few treats for the road." He said as everyone give their own forms of gratitude.
They each grab one bar leaving him with one that he keeps close with a smile.
As they all bit into them they immediately spit them back out afterwards because or disgusting the taste was.
"Whoever was the monster to do something like that to chocolate should be in jail." Geleel says still trying to get rid of the taste.
"Ben, someone stole your candy bars and put dirt in em." Sammy says.
"They're carib bars, they pair perfectly with-" Ben is cutoff by Darius.
"Carib juice...awesome." Darius said awkwardly.
"Carib is nature's chocolate, just as delicious, without the added sugar and caffeine." Ben says happily.
"What's wrong with sugar anr caffeine, first thing I'm gonna do when I get home is hug my expresso machine...I may never let go." Brooklynn said dramatically hugging Darius' head pretending it was her expresso machine. He looked at her confused.
"You know I've often described myself as a tall hot drink." Kenji says as the group emerges into groans of repulse.
"Moving on from that very scary image, I feel like we know eachother but we never actually asked eachother anything personal so, what time like the present right?" Geleel says as everyone shrugs in agreement.
"Okay I'll go first, what state are yall from, I'm obviously from Texas." Sammy said happily.
"I'm from California." Kenji replied.
"Really?, I woulda guessed something like New Jersey." Darius says as Kenji shakes his head. "Well I'm from South Carolina." Darius says as everyone looks at Brooklynn.
"Isn't that hilarious, I'm from North Carolina." Brooklynn says to them as they look at her wide eyed. "What?" She asked confused.
"So...your name is Brooklynn but...you're not from Brooklyn,New York?" Kenji asked trying to hold his laughter.
Brooklynn holds her nose and sighs. "Everytime I say the state I'm from someone says that, everyone assumes off my name I'm from Brooklyn." She says crossing her arms.
All eyes go to Ben. "Oh uh I'm from Virginia." Ben says as everyone nods seeing him being from there as not that insane.
The attention is turned to Geleel. "Oh funny that we were just talking about Brooklyn because that's where I'm from." He says with a chuckle.
"I kinda guessed that considering your jersey literally says Brooklyn on it." Darius points out.
Yasmina is the last to go. "I'm from Queens,New York but I stay in North Dakota for training." Yasmina informs them as everyone is surprised that her and Geleel could potentially live less than an hour away from eachother.
"Okay next question, how old are you guys and when are your birthdays? I'm fifteen and my birthday is April 27th." Sammy says.
"I'm thirteen, my birthday is December 9th." Darius says as everyone looks at him surprised.
"What?" He asked confused.
"You act so mature for a thirteen year old bruh." Kenji said voicing everyone's opinion as Darius shrugs.
"Well since I'm talking, I'm sixteen, my birthday is February 5th." Kenji says to everyone.
"Well I'm fourteen, and my birthday just passed last month actually, it's June 11th." Brooklynn says.
"I'm thirteen and I'll turn fourteen on November 8th." Ben said to everyone.
"I don't wanna say my birthday." Yasmina says looking down.
"Oh come on, it's not that serious, what is your birthday on April fool's day or something?" Geleel asked as Yasmina looks up shocked as everyone looked at her.
"No way I guessed it right again." Geleel says eyes widened.
Everyone was holding in their laughter as Yasmina glares at them.
"Okay lemme say mines, I'm fourteen, and I'm turning fifteen on August 2nd." Geleel says as they all looked at him with shocked expressions.
Now it was his turn to be confused as he stared back at them confused.
"Uh, you realize today was July 31st right?" Brooklynn states.
"...uh yea?" He retorts not seeing the significance.
"Meaning your birthday is basically in a couple hours!" Ben exclaims surpised.
Sammy jumps up happy. "We have to celebrate it!" She exclaimed as Geleel chuckles.
"I'd rather focused on getting off the island man." Geleel says as everyone was surprised almost as if he didn't care about his own birthday.
Kenji picks up a flashlight and turns it on getting everyone's attention. "Check it out, I found the first thing at jurassic world that works." Kenji says waving it around as he droppes it making it turn off.
He picked it back up and turned it on. "Still works." He said with an awkward laugh.
"I still can't believe how much went wrong, like that time we almost got eaten." Brooklynn says randomly.
"Which time? How was there more than one time?" Yasmina asked cupping her face.
"I mean we were literally seconds away from being eaten not even 20 minutes ago." Geleel said shaking his head.
Darius picked up his carib juice. "Let's all raise our carib juice!" Darius exclaims as the group does just that. "A toast, too not getting eaten." Darius said as everyone except Kenji who was late mimicked.
"To not getting eaten." Kenji said lately as they all sipped the carib juice.
Much like the carib bars the taste wasn't the best.
Except for Ben who drank it with a sigh of relief.
Geleel looks at him with a raised eyebrow "I'm convinced your taste buds are dead Ben." Geleel said not seeing how he liked this drink.
As Brooklynn was about to say another toast everyone except Ben signaled 'no'
As everyone sat back down in their seats, Brooklynn feeling a little tired snuggles up to Darius and tries to sleep as he was surpised at first but brushed it off as nothing crazy.
"Awww isn't that adorable." Yasmina said teasingly.
"I don't see how you're talking, don't think we all missed that little smooch you gave Geleel at the jurassic world lagoon." Kenji pointed out as Yasmina glares at him.
"Weren't you literally Sammy's napkin in the water cave?" Geleel said in defense of Yasmina as Kenji has no response so he just shines the flashlight and turns away.
"Okay, next que-" Sammy is cut off as a loud noise jolts the monorail. "What was that?" She asked scared.
"Sounded like an explosion." Yasmina said looking around.
"Not again." Brooklynn said looking through the window.
"I don't see anything." Kenji said looking through the other window.
"I don't think it was near us, we're okay, we're still okay." Darius says trying to reassure everyone.
They all looked at him almost in distress.
Brooklynn hugs him for comfort.
"I know camp wasn't what we thought it was gonna be, but after everything we went through, atleast we're leaving this place with six new friends." Sammy said standing up gaining everyone's attention.
"To the seven of us being best friends for life!" Sammy exclaimed trying to lift the mood.
Ben just looked away sadly. "No added sugars wow." Darius says faking that he was distracted.
Yasmina just deadpans at Sammy. "I would toast with you but if I have to sip this monstrosity we're calling juice again my tongue is going to run away." Geleel said dramatically.
"Wait, do you guys not see us aa friends?" Sammy asked confused.
"I mean, doesn't it usually take more than a few days to become friends with someone?" Brooklynn asked rhetorically.
"We were thrown together at random, we have nothing in common." Yasmina said dismissively.
"That's not true, we've been through more together than most friends have in a lifetime." Sammy says trying to reason.
"And now that it's over, what are the odds that we'll ever see eachother again." Ben says in a solemn tone.
"Well, I don't know about the rest of you guys but, Yasmina and I live in the same city so it wouldn't be impossible, and Brooklynn and Darius are literally just in the two different Carolinas." Geleel pointed out trying to help Sammy's case.
He gets no response as they keep riding the monorail in silence.
"My whole life I had this idea of jurassic world, my dad used to say this place was, 'allosaurus and a bag of chips' he was so corny." Darius said sadly.
"Was?, so your dad is dead?" Ben askes as Darius gives no answer so now it waa self explanatory.
"Rest in peace." Geleel said with respect.
Brooklynn hugs Darius to make him feel better.
"I'm sorry Darius, sorry, nice one Sammy ya ding dong, like sorry could begin t-" Sammy's rambling is cutoff by Darius.
"It's okay." Darius says getting her to stop rambling.
"Hey, atleast your dad never saw what a dumpster fire this place turned out to be." Kenji said insensitively.
Yasmina shoves him as he yelps. Geleel who was sitting next to Yasmina shakes his head at Kenji.
"What?, I meant it's cool that Darius and his dad were so close, I could count on one hand the number of times me and dad have done...anything." Kenji said sitting down next to Samny..
"Kenji that's just real sad." Sammy says in pity.
"Yea, yea it is." He replies hugging almost like a son hugging a mother.
"Did I mention I have a bowling alley?" Kenji said lamely.
The group turns to Ben fidgeting with the pouch, until he finds what he was looking for. "Bumpy stepped in something icky and I'm low on sanitizer, it's fine I can make more." Ben said applying his sanitizer.
"Ben, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but why the heck did you come here." Geleel asked with no remorse.
"What he means is, uhh well you're scared of dinosaurs, and the outdoors, and sometimes indoors, and germs." Darius lists off.
"Whipped cream for some reason." Sammy adds in.
"The way it moves." Ben said with a shiver.
"You are a troubled boy..." Geleel said looking at Ben weirdly.
"Yea see that's what we're talking about, what's the deal Ben?" Kenji asked.
Ben answers as he pets Bumpy. "My mom works for Mr. Masrani, she got me into camp, said it would be a great way for me to face my fears." He said making air quotes. "It's been a nightmare, I'm sick of being scared, of running, and of almost getting eaten, and of holding everyone back, I just can't do this." Ben says gesturing to everything.
Everyone looks at him solemnly. "But, it's not all bad, if I hadn't come I would have never me-" Ben is cutoff as something slams into the monorail. This commotion causes everyone to fall down.
Darius gets up and runs to the front of the monorail to check it out.
Everyone follows after right away, as another jolt hits the monorail scaring them. Darius looks through the glass to try and find the culprit.
"Guys...we gotta turn off the lights!" Darius exclaimed as he grabs Kenji's flashlight and begins taking out the lights.
Kenji and Geleel go over to the front to see what he was talking about. They then notice Pteranodons flying towards the monorail. They both look on in fear and flinch back slightly.
"Flying reptiles are basically seabirds, they're attracted to shiny moving objects, and with all these lights on-" Darius is cutoff by Sammy.
"We're a shiny moving object!" She exclaimed as a Pteranodon slammed into the front of the monorail.
"Uh, this is fun and all but do you mind helping out!?" Geleel asked/yell as he had a flashlight too now helping Darius break the lights.
They all grab one except Ben who doesn't have on since there was only six. "What should I do?" Ben asked.
"Just keep out of the way!" Brooklynn replied but not in a mean tone, more of a 'I don't want you to get hurt so stay back' tone.
The Pteranodons just let out screeches as they keep up their assault on the monorail.
As one keeps slamming into one window it finally leaves a crack. The Pteranodon just flew off however.
The campers minus Ben were still trying to break the lights. As they get one part fully dark with no lights they move onto the next one.
"Brooklynn you're with Yas!, Kenji you're with Geleel!, Sammy help Ben and Bumpy across!" Darius orders as they all split up into these set teams.
As they make it over through the different cars on the monorail they take out the second one's lights. "Smile, you're at jurassic wor-" An automated system is shut off as Geleel smashes it seeing the message it was saying as almost the Universe taunting him.
They make it to last car but another loud explosion happens, only this time it's visible to them as Sammy gasps and points over to something. The other campers look over to what she was pointing at to see another monorail, only this one was on fire, and only had a few Pteranodons flying around it.
"Atleast now we know what that boom was earlier." Sammy said looking on the bright side.
"I told you-" Kenji goes to say but Brooklynn just cuts him off.
"Don't even." Brooklynn says not wanting to hear it.
"If we don't switch tracks, or stop this car right now, we're going to hit the other one at full speed." Geleel announced.
"Fron car there's control panels there, VIP tour, I was eight, they let me drive." Kenji rambles as Darius and Geleel run towards the fron car door.
They both try to open the door but it wouldn't budge. "No, no, no!" Darius yells as everyone else tries to help open it now.
Realizing it was futile Darius notices as a hatch in the car. "I'm going to get to the control panel through there!" Darius says pointing at the hatch.
"You're gonna what?!" Sammy questions/asks.
"You can't go out there, that's-" Kenji is cut off by Geleel.
"Go, Darius, just be careful, I know you won't die though, we came way too far and went through way too much for you to die like this am I right?" Geleel says as Darius nods to him. Darius is about to climb up until a hand pulls him back.
He goes to question them until he feels a pair of lips on his cheek. The kiss left a feeling on his cheek as he turned to see Brooklynn walking back to the rest of the campers not saying a word.
He shakes his head. "Besides me and..." He trails off as he looks at Ben. "I'm the only one that can fit." Darius says confidently.
"You're gonna be okay." Ben says to himself and Bumpy.
Darius climbs back down to announce the plan. "Distract the flock while I climb over to the control car, use thw flashlights just keep them away from-" Darius is cutoff as everyone hears the latch open causing them all to gasp and realize Ben was crawling through the hatch.
"Ben!" Darius exclaimed.
As Ben is crawling on the top of the roof Darius pokes his head out of the hatch to talk to him. "Ben what are you doing!?" Darius asked/yelled.
Ben turns to him. Darius offers him his hand. "I can do this, just distract them!" Ben yells as he continues crawling to the control panel.
Darius is forced to retreat inside as a Pteranodon gets a little too close to taking his head off.
"Come on, we have to keep them distracted to help Ben!" Geleel exclaims as they all ran through the cars with flashlights to try and distract the Pteranodons.
The lights finally start distracting the Pteranodons as they left Ben alone.
"I can do this, I can do this!" Ben says trying to give himself confidence as he makes his way to the other hatch.
He eventually gets there, and lands in...er gracefully, if you call falling on your back graceful. He gets right back up to look for the control that switched the tracks.
He was just pressing random buttons frantically at this point. A Pteranodon slams into the windshield scaring him.
Right as they were about to crash into the other monorail he found the lever that switched tracks and the monorail turned but it was close as they grazed the other one causing sparks.
The other monorail falls over exploding in a huge flame. The light from the fire makes the flock of Pteranodons fly towards it leaving them alone.
The kids laugh and make cheering sounds as they avoided death once again.
They turn to see Ben open the door from the control room.
"Ben!, Ben!, Ben!" Everyone chanted fist pumping.
They all walked up to him to give congratulations. "You saved us Ben, didn't know you had it in you." Darius says as Ben smiles.
"Yea, that took some cou-" Geleel is cutoff as a stray Pteranodon crashes through the monorail grabbing onto Ben.
"Ben!" Darius yells as he runs over and grabs onto Ben's hand as he played tug-of-war with the Pteranodon for Ben's life.
After wrestling vigorously the Pteranodon simply opted to let Ben go as it flies off.
Ben is now daggling from the monorail Darius' arm the only thing keeping him safe at the moment.
Ben screamed in absolute terror of losing his life. Geleel comes over to hold Darius d
"Hang on!" Darius yells as Ben was slipping out of his grip.
"Darius, Darius, Darius, don't let go!" Ben yells as he literally is hanging on by his finger tips now.
