Percy got over the fact that his Latin teacher has a horse's ass; Chiron gave him a nice tour with Nathan and Terry, though they were careful not to walk behind him, because you can never go behind a horse's ass.
They passed the volleyball pit. Several of the campers nudged each other. One pointed to the Minotaur horn Percy was carrying.
"It's them." Another said,
"That's Percy," Another one said.
"He is cute" A girl said to him, Percy looks uncomfortable as Terry and Nathan sign.
"Yeah Sydney is doing her tricks again," Nathan said, knowing any social gathering Sydney starts making friends and gossiping takes over.
"Mostly about you" Terry warned him, Percy lets out a breath as they continue walking.
Most of the campers were older than the three. Their satyr friends were bigger than Grover, all of them trotting around in orange CAMP HALF-BLOOD T-shirts, with nothing else to cover their bare shaggy hindquarters, good thing their at least fur to cover their private parts.
Percy wasn't normally shy, but the way they stared at him made him uncomfortable. He felt like they were expecting him to do a flip or something.
"Once Sydney sees you, she won't let you go," Terry informed, knowing that the obsessed girl will not stop worrying about Percy and start gossiping about him.
"Where is she by the way?" Percy asked them,
"She either talks to girls from Aphrodite cabin or Demeter, she makes a lot of friends" Terry said, Sydney talks to everyone, and people are naturally attracted to a cute loveable girl that wants to get to know you and talk about her worries and sorrows.
"She could thrive anywhere" Percy said with envy, can't help but be jealous of how popular she gets wherever she goes.
"She a pretty girl that gets constant attention from everyone, weather she likes it or not" Nathan said, no point in being jealous of every pretty girl that everyone always look at, and the downside that comes with it
Something Sydney got used to and even enjoyed at times, but something is getting bad.
Less keep that stuff under 18, for now.
Percy nods; knowing Sydney's past wasn't as happy as it seems to be.
Percy looked back at the farmhouse. It was a lot bigger than he realised it was, four stories tall, sky blue with white trim, like an upscale seaside resort. He was checking out the eagle weathervane on top when something caught his eye, a shadow in the uppermost window of the attic gable. Something had moved the curtain, just for a second, and he got the impression he was being watched.
"What's up there?" Percy asked Chiron, he looked where Percy was pointing, and his smile faded.
"Just the attic." Chiron said
"Somebody lives there?" Percy asked, seeing movement early.
"No," Chiron said with finality. "Not a single living thing."
"Pretty sure someone died up there, suicide most likely" Terry said, that gets a glare from Chiron.
"That is not what I said" Chiron narrows his eyes but it doesn't affect Terry.
"Hey you're being super vague about it, forgive me for filling that blanks you can easily solve" Terry said with a shrug before turning to Percy.
"But yeah we told not to go there, forbidden or something" Terry said to him,
"It a depressing place to say at least" Nathan notes with Percy nodding, feeling the same near the farmhouse.
"I'm guaranteeing someone or something died up there" Terry points at the closed window, obviously trying to hide but Terry knows something is happening up there.
"Come along, boys," Chiron said, his light-hearted tone now a little forced.
"Lots to see." Chiron said to them, they follow the half-horse man.
They walked through the strawberry fields, where campers were picking bushels of berries while a satyr played a tune on a reed pipe. Chiron explained to them the camp grew a nice crop for export to New York restaurants and Mount Olympus.
"It pays our expenses," Chiron explained. "And the strawberries take almost no effort."
"Honestly you could make a shit torn more with the right connections" Terry said, wanting to look at the business.
"No need Terry, we make enough to cover our expenses" Chiron waved him off,
"Expenses?, gods run this camp, how do you run out of anything" Nathan asked him, if you have the Greek gods as sponsors then shouldn't they do something for the camp.
"They're busy," Chiron said to them.
"Too busy to put money for their kid's day camp" Percy asks but Chiron just shrugs at that. Before he explained Mr. D had this effect on fruit-bearing plants: they just went crazy when he was around. It worked best with wine grapes, but Mr. D restricted them from growing those, so they grew strawberries instead.
"You can grow more than just strawberries you know" Nathan said to him, as he watched the satyr playing his pipe. His music was causing lines of bugs to leave the strawberry patch in every direction, like refugees fleeing a fire.
For some reason that music pisses him, he is not sure why.
"You alright Nathan?" Percy asked, seeing he pissed off at something.
"Yeah, just angry for some reason" Nathan said, not sure why the satyr playing pissed him off, Terry raised an eyebrow at him.
Rare to see Nathan angry like this.
"Grover won't get in too much trouble, will he?" Percy asked Chiron, recalling Grover getting in trouble with Mr. D.
"I mean ... He was a good protector… Really." Percy tries to say, but Terry scoffs.
"Yeah right, Grover couldn't protect you from bullies, but less monsters," Terry said, not impressed by Grover's performances.
"It was a car crash with a steroid bull freak, not his fault he was knocked out" Nathan coming to Grover defences.
"He should be prepared for monsters like that" Terry points out to them, Chiron sighed. He shed his tweed jacket and draped it over his horse's back like a saddle.
"Grover has big dreams. Perhaps bigger than being reasonable. To reach his goal, he must first prove great courage by succeeding as a keeper, finding a new camper and bringing him safely to Half-Blood Hill." Chiron said to them.
"But he did that!" Percy protested, Terry made a face that he didn't agree with.
"Not really, he got knocked out and we had to carry him here" Terry pointed out, Percy looked at him.
"How does finding children prove you have courage?" Nathan asked.
"It's not my place to judge. Dionysus and the Council of Cloven Elders must decide. I'm afraid I must agree with Terry. After all, Grover lost you all in New York. Then there's the unfortunate ... Ah ... Fate of your mother. Then the Minotaur attacks the camp. The council might question whether this shows any courage on Grover's part." Chiron said to them, Percy wanted to protest. None of what happened was Grover's fault.
He also felt really, really guilty. If he hadn't given Grover the slip at the bus station, he might not have gotten him in trouble.
"To be far, Asterion killed quite a few campers and satyrs, Grover's lucky to be alive" Nathan pointed out, quite a few satyrs were killed as well as campers.
"He'll get a second chance, won't he?" Percy asked
"I'm afraid that was Grover's second chance, Percy. The council was not anxious to give him another, either, after what happened the first time, five years ago. Olympus knows, I advised him to wait longer before trying again. He's still so small for his age..." Chiron winced.
"How old is Grover anyway?" Nathan asked,
"Oh, twenty-eight." Chiron answers, to their surprised
"What! And he's in sixth grade?" Percy said.
"Jesus he was held back that much, is he retard?" Terry said in shock but Nathan shakes his head.
"So he is one of those people, cough, cough, poor Grover" Nathan pity Grover, thinking he is mental, Chiron glares at Terry.
"Satyrs mature half as fast as humans, Terry. Grover has been the equivalent of a middle school student for the past six years." Chiron clarified to Terry, not liking the insult to Grover.
"That's horrible," Percy said, with Nathan nodding.
"Quite," Chiron agreed.
"At any rate, Grover is a late bloomer, even by satyr standards, and not yet very accomplished at woodland magic. Alas, he was anxious to pursue his dream. Perhaps now he will find some other career..." Chiron thought to himself.
"That's not fair, What happened the first time? Was it really so bad?" Percy said, Chiron looked away quickly.
"I'm guessing Grover got his last group killed," Terry guessed, as Chiron looked down.
"Worst" Chiron mutters to himself, but is heard by the three.
"What's worse than dyeing?" Nathan asked but Chiron walked forward.
"Let's move along, shall we?" Chiron said,
"Chiron," Percy said. "If the gods and Olympus and all that are real ..."
"Yes, child?" Chiron said, raised eyebrow.
"Does that mean the Underworld is real, too?" Percy asked something that got Nathan and Terry attention.
Chiron's expression darkened, looking at Nathan and Terry for a split second, only Terry caught it.
"Yes, child." Chiron paused, as if choosing his words carefully. "There is a place where the spirits go after death. But for now ... Until we know more... I would urge you to put that out of your mind."
"So Sally could be in the underworld?" Nathan said, with Terry nodding.
"If she was killed, she would probably be there" Terry said, figuring Sally was killed, either because she was mortal and not allowed here or something else.
"Come let's see the woods." Chiron said as Terry rolled his eyes.
"Keep avoiding the conversation while we form our own opinion" Terry said, sick of Chiron half-ass answers.
They walked closer and the boys saw how huge the forest was. It took up at least a quarter of the valley, with trees so tall and thick,
"The woods are stocked, if you care to try your luck, but go armed." Chiron said,
"Stocked and armed?" Percy asked.
"They play capture the flag between cabins on Fridays, weapons and all" Nathan explains to him.
"Yeah so Percy you're gonna need armour cause people get hurt and even killed" Terry warned him, Chiron looks crossed.
"I can assure you no one dies in these games" Chiron said but Nathan and Percy weren't convinced.
They continued the tour as Chiron showed them the armoury, the archery range, the canoeing lake, stables, the javelin range, the sing-along amphitheatre, and the mess hall.
"That the mess halls over there" Chiron pointed to an outdoor pavilion framed in white Grecian columns on the hill overlooking the sea. There were a dozen stone picnic tables. No roof. No walls.
"What do you do when it rains?" Percy asked, seeing there open outside exposed to the weather, Chiron looked at him as if he had gone a little weird.
"We still have to eat, don't we?" Chiron said,
"Magic and god bullshit Percy" Terry said, the only reason they don't have a hall or a roof to cover them from bad weather.
"Language" Chiron said, Nathan coughed again, next the go to and the arena where Chiron said they held sword and spear fights.
"Sword and spear fighting?" Percy asked.
"Cabin challenges and all that, not lethal. Usually ``'' Chiron explained as they all look to see a familiar red headed girl fighting over 3 guys at once with swords while she has a shield and spear.
The girl uses her shield to block a sword strike from one boy, swings her spear around to stop the two boys from behind, pushing forward with the shield she forces one boy back, falling on his ass while she turns to face the other two. The two boys charged at her as they swung their swords at her, using her shield to block the swords, the two boys swung down on her shield arm trying to break her guard.
The girl pushes forward to take the blow as she swings the spear under them, hitting the boy's knees as she swings the spear across the two. The two boys fall down as the girl turns to the boy getting up and charging at her, using her shield she blocks the sword down as she uses it to drive the sword down and flip off the guy using the boy as a springboard before kicking him down. The boy lands on top of the two boys getting up as they try to stand only for the girl to point her spear at the three of them.
"Impressive" Chiron said, watching the fight but that doesn't stop Percy as he walks forward.
"KATE" Percy calls out, our red-headed girl Kate turns to shock to see her friend wake.
"Percy" Kate whispers, drooping her weapons as she runs to him, they both hug each other, happy to see the other.
"I am so glad you're awake" Kate hugs him with her might, Percy hugs back.
"I should thank you for saving me early" Percy hugs her in thanks as Terry and Nathan walk over smiling with Chiron watching behind.
"I'm sorry about you mother" Kate said, wishing she could have done something but Percy smiles sadly.
"I don't blame you or Nathan, just happy you're here" Percy said, happy that his friends are here in this crazy world he woke up in, Kate blushes at that compliment.
"We get her back, I promise" Kate said to him, he nods.
"I'll help too" Nathan said as well.
"You won't get far without me dear friend" Terry offers his own support as Percy smiles.
"Thanks guys, I owe you" Percy smiles, happy to have friends like these as he turns to Chiron smiling at them.
"It warms my heart to see this," Chiron said to them.
"Shall we continue?" Chiron asked with Percy nods, as Chiron finally, he showed them the cabins. With Kate now following the group. There were twelve of them, nestled in the woods by the lake.
"You said your name was Chiron. Are you really ..." Percy asked while they walked, Chiron smiled down at Percy.
"The Chiron from the stories? Trainer of Hercules and all that? Yes, Percy, I am." He said.
"You're proud of being an immortal" Terry asked, knowing he was the original Chiron but wanted to know, Chiron paused.
"I wouldn't call it pride to achieve immortally; I believe I can still pass on. You see, eons ago the gods granted my wish. I could continue the work I loved; I could be a teacher of heroes as long as humanity needed me. I gained much from that wish ... And I gave up much. But I'm still here, so I can only assume I'm still needed." Chiron said to him.
"Must be depressing then" Nathan said, seeing the down side of the wish.
"Sadly, nothing I can do about that," Chiron said with a sad frown,
"Wait, why is it depressing?" Percy asked,
"Chiron outlives all his students Percy, and most of them don't die of old age" Kate mentions, Percy gains an understanding look, as Chiron turns hard to see someone.
"Oh, look, there Sydney"," Chiron pointed, as Percy turns to see a pretty girl talking to 5 other pretty girls and a few pretty boys as well, as they listen to what she is saying.
"…then Percy came to the art show, it was a school event that made everyone attend with everyone's art and parents came to see as well, I made a few paintings that everyone complemented, from kids and parents saying how amazing it was" Sydney tells the story as she makes a frown mentioning the art show.
"Was it that bad?" One girl asked, but Sydney shrugged.
"Everything I do gets compliments, drawings, dresses or whatever always looks amazing or so everyone says" Sydney said, always getting praise no matter what she does.
"Then Percy came by, I thought he's cute, like any other guy I was expecting shallow praise, how pretty it is and how amazing a drawer I am" Sydney said sarcastically but held one finger.
"But he didn't compliment me, he asked what I draw? Saying he didn't understand it, I tried to explain what it was, but I didn't know what I drew when I looked at it" Sydney said, not recalling what she drew as the group leaned in to get the full details.
"He said," Sydney said as Percy walked forward.
"It looks stupid" Percy grins, Sydney turns in surprised to see Percy up and wake.
"PERCY" Sydney jumps up to hug Percy, Percy hugs her too as Sydney pepper him with kisses.
"I'm so happy to see you, are you ok? Do you need more rest? Need more nursing?" Sydney questions him quickly as Percy chuckles while the Sydney group go 'ahhh' and they walk away seeing this is a private moment between the two.
"Yeah yeah, stop smoothing the poor boy" Nathan separated her, as Sydney's smile turned sad as she looked at Percy, Kate glaring at her, only Terry saw as he got Nathan to split them up.
"I'm sorry about your mother" Sydney said, Percy nods in thanks as Sydney as she holds his hand.
"I'm here if you need me" Sydney said with Percy smiling.
"Thank Sydney" Percy said gratefully at the support, Chiron looks over.
"Oh look there's Annabeth waiting for us" Chiron said, breaking them up as they all look to see Annabeth was reading a book in front of the last cabin on the left, number eleven.
"Right forgot about her" Terry said as they followed Chiron now with Sydney behind, the gang all here now.
When they reached her, she looked at him over them critically, like she was still thinking about how much he drooled.
Percy tried to see what she was reading, but he couldn't make out the title.
'Was my dyslexia acting up?" Percy thought, until he realized the title wasn't even English. The letters looked Greek.
There were pictures of temples and statues and different kinds of columns, like architecture books.
"Annabeth," Chiron said, "I have a masters' archery class at noon. Take Percy from here."
"Yes, sir." Annabeth nods, Chiron turns to them.
"Cabin eleven," Chiron told Percy, gesturing toward the doorway. "Make yourself at home." He left them.
Terry looks over the book Annabeth is reading as looks over it.
"Interesting book, Annabeth" Terry mentioned, reading over the page Annabeth was reading. Annabeth is surprised at this, he isn't dyslexic.
"You can read it!" Annabeth asked, how can he read it, she wonders.
"Yes, I know Greek, English, Latin and a few more" Terry brags to her.
"Really," Annabeth said.
"Yes that bastard would always insult us in another language to show how much of a smartass he is," Nathan said in annoyance.
"Ρούπα μου, σκύλα" Terry insults in Greek, which means 'suck my dick, bitch'
"Wow," Annabeth said, impressed a first time camper seek fluently in Greek,
"Terry succeeded at impressing girls, the world has gone mad" Percy thought.
"Come on" Annabeth said as Percy walks forward but stops to look at his friends.
"You go to Percy, it's too crowded there" Sydney said as Percy raised an eyebrow but shrugged while walking in the cabin.
Leaving the four friends too looks at one another as they let Percy get introduced to the cabin.
"So Percy awake now" Sydney said, they all agree to stay while Percy recovers before thinking about what to do about this camp.
"We agree to wait until he's fully healed" Nathan said, while Percy is awake he worries he is not fully healed yet.
"Still need to think about what to do" Terry said, getting their attention.
"I'm not sure about it, this camp has more bullshit then high schools" Terry said, after spending a few days here.
"It's not too bad, people here are nice" Sydney said, having good friends with a few campers.
"That only caused the respect we got from the Minotaur" Kate said, campers saw the fight with the minotaur with Kate, Sydney, Percy and Terry having a hand in killing it.
"Nothing new to me, people still can't stand me" Nathan shrugs, used to people treating him like shit because of his health.
"Ares don't touch you at least" Terry points out, see how Nathan helps healed a lot of Ares kids fighting that minotaur, and Kate beating them up only for Nathan to help them out.
"Look, for now this is the only safe place from those monster fuckers" Kate sums what the shit there in.
"A summer camp with an alcoholic god forced to a bad rehab, an overworked horse man, and kids with abandonment issues" Terry said, not the best place really.
"We have to make the best of it then" Nathan shrugs with Sydney nodding.
"Look guys, we did this before, let's have some fun and do what we do" Sydney grins at them, Terry smiles at having fun, Kate and Nathen look at them.
"Sure, Sydney starts gossiping and learning everyone's dirty secrets, Terry starts another over complicated plan for some reason , and Nathan starts giving kids drugs" Kate looks at the three, knowing the shit they do at the schools and places beforehand.
All three look at her.
"At least we don't beat the shit out of anyone looking at you funny" Sydney points out, Kate growls at them.
"I don't do drugs Kate, it's medicine that I take" Nathan said, but saw a few kids that look like they need some drugs.
"That drugs Nathan" Terry said as Nathan looked crossed at him.
"Look guys, we are here for Percy, let's help him out and try to save his mother" Sydney said, as they looked at one another before nodding.
They agree to help Percy and hopefully save Sally.
If she was still alive, some thought to themselves.
The four step back as the cabin door opens seeing Annabeth drag Percy out.
"How did it go?" Nathan asked, Percy shrugs not sure as the four head laughing from inside.
"I'm seeing the volleyball court again" Percy said as they followed the two to the Volleyball court.
When they were a few feet away from the court, Annabeth stopped,
"Jackson, you have to do better than that." Annabeth said, getting a raised eyebrow from the group.
"What?" Percy asked.
"How much better can you get, he just woke up" Nathan points out, not sure what she was about, Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"I can't believe I thought you were the one." Annabeth mumbled under her breath, which Terry heard.
"The one, are we in the Matrix, Percy the one?" Terry smiled, turning to Percy.
"Hey Percy you the one, your Neo, Keanu Reeves bitch" Terry said, with Percy rolling his eyes.
"Yeah Terry, I'm the one, I'm Neo and I can dodge bullets now" Percy jokes sarcastically, with Terry smiling.
"Then I'm Merovingian" Terry grins as Nathan smiles at the joke.
"I'm Trinity" Sydney puts her hand up but Kate puts it down.
"If anything your Agent Smith" Kate said to her, but Sydney smiles.
"So your Trinity then" Sydney grins as Kate looks away, aware of the relationship of Neo and Trinity.
"That makes me Morpheus," Nathan jokes as they look at each other before laughing.
"Take this seriously '' Annabeth gets annoyed at them laughing at this.
"What's your problem?" Percy asked, turning to her, they stopped laughing.
"All I know is, I fought the Minotaur, my friends went to get help, my mother got kidnapped oh and Kate was the one that killed the bull" Percy pointed out all he knew while pointing at Kate.
"You stab it in the heart Percy, you made the first kill shot" Kate said, not taking credit for the kill.
"You know how many kids at this camp wish they'd had your chance?" Annabeth said but the group looked at her.
"They did and most of them got killed," Terry pointed out, which shut her up.
"If you're seeking glory in fighting monsters only to realise you can die fighting them" Kate warns her, remembering a lot of campers just running at the monster, expecting it to be easy.
"They got the chance to be killed at least" Percy adds
"They charged the Minotaur to kill it, that's what we train for?" Annabeth said to them, after getting her standing back.
"Then they need better training" Sydney notes, as Annabeth gets frustrated at them.
"Look, if the thing we fought really was the Minotaur, the same one in the stories ..." Percy shook his head.
"Yes." Annabeth confirmed
"Wait there's the only one." Nathan asked, fought they were many minotaur like creatures
"Yes," Annabeth said.
"But Theseus killed him in the labyrinth. So ..." Percy asked why he was still alive after getting killed more than a decade ago.
"Monsters don't die, Percy. They can be killed. But they don't die," Annabeth explained to them. "They don't have soul; you kill them it sends them to Tartarus where they reform"
"Harsh" Percy said, monsters die and be reborn.
"Wait so the monster dies and come back later" Sydney asked with Annabeth nodding.
"So why were people surprised at the Minotaur being so strong, if it is the same minotaur fighting and dying over and over, why are people surprised how strong he was" Nathan asked, recalling those injured crying that the minotaur was more powerful and he never had weapons to begin with.
"The Minotaur never wore armour or had weapons like that, something happened to make it stronger" Annabeth reasons, having heard about the fight from everyone involved.
The gang turned to Terry who whistled, while looking around.
"The Fur ... I mean, your maths teacher. She's still out there," Annabeth said, getting attention away from Terry.
"How did you know about Mrs. Dodds?" Percy asked,
"You talk in your sleep." Nathan, Kate, Sydney, Annabeth and Terry all said, they looked at each other in surprise.
"You almost called her something. A Fury? They're Hades' torturers, right?" Percy asked, looking at Terry who nodded.
Annabeth glanced nervously at the ground, as if she expected it to open up and swallow her.
"You shouldn't call them by name, even here. We call them the Kindly Ones, if we speak of them at all." Annabeth said,
"That doesn't make it easier compared to their well-known names" Terry mentions how everyone called them by their normal names out of habit and easy to recognise, at thunder keep striking whenever they mention the names.
"Look, is there anything we can say without thundering?" Percy mentioned.
"And why do I have to stay in cabin eleven, anyway? Why is everybody so crowded together? There are plenty of empty bunks right over there." He pointed to the first few cabins.
"We're not allowed Percy, it's basically on which god that lets us in the place, so they're just a waste of space, Like Hera's cabin, no kids at all" Terry said, Annabeth turned pale as thunder appeared over them.
"You shouldn't say that Terry," Annabeth warns him,
"But it is, why have an empty cabin but not make use of it" Kate said, annoyed about the lack of space, with the other two nodding in support.
"Look it depends on our parents" Annabeth said looking at them.
"My mom is Sally Jackson," Percy said. "She works at the candy store in Grand Central Station. At least, she used to." Percy gets down, with the others giving Percy support, giving him a pat or hug in comfort.
"I'm sorry about your mom, Percy. But that's not what I mean. I'm talking about your other parents. Your dad." Annabeth
"I never knew him. I don't care about him." Percy said, not caring for his father.
"Your father is God," Annabeth said, looking at her in annoyance.
"Of course he is" Percy said, why wouldn't he be a demigod, monsters from Greek mythos attack him, Greek gods mentioned, his mother not talking about his real father.
"And dyslexia and ADHD?" Percy asked, why have mental problems despite being half god.
"Usually demigods are diagnosed with dyslexia and probably ADHD" Annabeth explains what is a common theme.
"But I don't have dyslexia," Terry mentions.
"I have my own medical problems but not ADHD, Coughs Cough" Nathan coughed in his hands as he grabs a wipe to clean himself,
"I have anger issues" Kate shrugs but Sydney smiles.
"And I'm just perfect " Sydney smiles doing a pose, the three groan as Percy signed.
"They have their own issues but not dyslexia or the ADHD" Percy said, Annabeth surprised at this.
"I'm not sure, but you are demigods as well, otherwise you wouldn't be let in here" Annabeth thinks about why they do have the Demigods normal symptoms.
"So what, we have to figure out our godparent" Nathan asked her.
"No they claim you for everyone to see" Annabeth said.
"And they don't claim them straight away" Kate asked, getting angry at the neglect being mentioned, seeing if any god cared enough to claim their children when they arrived.
"Some of them do, Apollo, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite and my mom Athena. They all claim their children the moment they arrive. But for the rest…" Annabeth said,
"Ignore you and probably don't even remember if someone is their kid or not." Sydney finished, with Annabeth sighing and nodded in response.
"Is that why most of you are throwing your life away" Nathan asked her, before Annabeth could answer another called them out.
"Well! A newbie!"
They looked toward a voice direction. They saw Clarisse with her two cabin mates.
"Hey Wilma" Terry waves at her, Clarisse looks pissed.
"It Clarisse you nerd" Clarisse growls at Terry, ever since the night Terry keeps calling her Wilma since she answered him calling the minotaur attack.
"Clarisse," Annabeth sighed, smiling at Clarisse being annoyed.
"Why don't you go polish your spear or something?" Annabeth said
"Sure, Miss Princess," Clarisse said. "So I can run you through with it Friday night."
"Erre es korakas!" Annabeth said in Greek which means ``Go to the crows!'
"You don't stand a chance." Annabeth taunts.
"We'll pulverise you," Clarisse said, but her eyes twitched. Perhaps she wasn't sure she could follow through on the threat, before noticing Kate.
"Hello Kate," Clarisse said with a slight respect in her voice.
"Clarisse" Kate acknowledged as Clarisse turned to Percy.
"Who's this little runt with you?" Clarisse asked her.
"Percy Jackson meets Clarisse, Daughter of Ares." Kate introduce,
"The war-god?" Percy blinked.
"You got a problem with that?" Clarisse sneered.
"No, nothing at all" Percy said, waving his hands, Clarisse cracks her knuckles.
"There's no way you killed that Minotaur" Clarisse said, looking him over, not seeing the Minotaur killer Kate said he was.
"He is stronger than he looks," Sydney said to her.
"We got an initiation ceremony for newbies, prissy," Clarisse said but Kate steps forward, stopping her and the other two.
"That stops now Clarisse" Kate growls at this, she hates bullying.
Clarisse and her two brothers stop at the intimations Kate gives, they have heard Kate ripping the Minotaur head off with her bare hands, and unlike Percy they can see Kate muscles and scars.
"What's going on?" Percy asked them.
"Kate got a reputation now, after the Minotaur, campers have been challenging her for days and she remains undefeated, Achoo" Nathan sneezed, recalling him helping those injured after fighting with Kate.
"Wilma tried this on us, but it didn't work" Terry said, recalling her trying to bully them, but Sydney cracked her whip, Terry clocked his gun which nobody took off him and Kate beat them up when they tried to attack Nathan.
But Nathan helps them up after taking the beating from Kate.
"This isn't over Prissy, watch your back Terry" Clarisse growls, knowing she can't do anything with the four in front of her with her brothers following.
"Bye Wilma" Terry waves back, Clarisse growls walking away.
"No matter where we go, there are always bullies," Nathan said sadly, Annabeth stared at them.
"What's you look at?" Percy asked her, getting everyone's attention.
"I'm thinking all five of you should join my team to capture the flag" Annabeth said to them, as the five look at her in confusion.
