Waddup Crowbloods! Ya boi back. And even better...he's staying. Now here's the situation. Usually, what happens is I have the inspiration to make part of a chapter, I stick on Pat. Tre. On. And then it takes another month for another part. But this time..
Things are different. And I have a feeling it's not a empty promise... So. Welcome. Chapters will be really short for a while. But... I won't be leaving for a long time boys. It's good to be back.

It didn't work. Of course it didn't work! It's just my luck really, in every other SI story, they all just suddenly know how to control there powers, but me? Can't even stop myself from falling through the damn floor, yet alone actually possessing someone! I mean, I guess I should give myself a bit of credit, technically, I accomplished my goal. I possessed Sam for about 5 seconds, at least before I got pushed out by that thing.
````````````````````````````````````````````````FLASHBACK`````````````````````````````````````````````````````
"Whoa, I feel so weird." I/Sam said. It was then that I noticed my voice higher pitch. Looking down at 'my' body, I notice that I lost several inches in height and my body feels much...lighter? Frailer? It really is hard to describe. It almost felt wrong in some way. Like my brain just knows this isn't the right body. Which is weird when I think about it, because this didn't happen when I took over OG Danny.
"No way, there's no way that just happened. Sam? Danny? Which one am I looking at right now?" Tucker asked while stepping uncomfortably close and studying me like I'm some sort of science project. I can't help the roll of my eyes. I possessed her, there isn't anything that would actually be different. "Your eyes changed colors!" Except that.
"It's Danny dumbass, I-" I replied before getting interrupted by this strong tugging feeling in my gut. Before I know it, I'm no longer standing inside my room. Instead it seemed like I was in a different house all together. A much bigger and expensive house, almost like, "Sam's Manor? But it looks different."
"You're not supposed to be here." I heard from behind me. Quickly turning around, I find Sam standing in front of a bed. Her bed. Which is even more confusing because I'm sure we were just in the movie theatre downstairs. Looking around even more, I find that I had been taken to her room.
"Sam? What the hell is happening?" I asked not expecting an answer. After all, this is far before any truly ghost shenanigans happen, but even if it wasn't, I don't remember this happening in the show. Whatever is happening is new, and I'm going to be honest, freaked me out much more than I cared to admit.
"You're not supposed to be here. You need to leave. Now." The goth repeated. It was then I noticed the slight echo within her voice that immediately snapped up my attention, and caused me to shiver. A realization hit me like a brick. This isn't her. And the next thing I knew, with a simple wave of the things wrists, I was sent flying.
First through the bedroom. Then through the kitchen. And through the theatre. It felt like physics had been turned on its head and decided to take a day off. My body was more getting forcefully warped through different settings than me actually crashing through anything.
"Shit!" I yelled, grunting in pain as my body finally hit something solid. Looking up, I see both Tucker and Sam(?) looking down at me. I blinked a couple of times to get the stars out of my eyes and sighed in relief as both of my friends got down to help me up. Though I wearily accepted the girl's hand. Whatever just happened, once was bad enough. Never again would be preferable.
"You okay Danny? What just happened?" Tuck asked in worry. And man, was that a loaded question, because I have no fucking clue. I'm 100% sure that ever happened in the show. Why was I suddenly at Sam's house? Why was she so weird? And how the hell did she force me out like that?
````````````````````````````````````````````````FLASHBACK END```````````````````````````````````````````````
From then, I explained to them what happened and we all agreed that the experience was fucking terrifying and that we wouldn't try possession for a good while. That was around 2 weeks ago and things have slowed down since. Less life altering events in the span of a day.
I look down at my hands to see them glowing an ecto green in the darkness. Something so pretty and yet so frustrating. A little bit ago I figured it out, but just like everything in my life, complications arose. I point my hand to a nearby tree and close my eyes in focus. My hand tingles with the power but no matter what I do, I can't make it actually fly out.
I sigh in frustration before putting on my hood and continuing my walk through the streets. Now, you may be asking why I would be doing such a thing. Great Question! You see, this whole waiting for the first episode to start thing? Yeah, it got boring after the second day, and if I spent one more day being a normal teenager in a damn Superhero/Supernatural cartoon, I'm going to turn into Dan real quick. I'm a hero dammit, I want to kick bad guy ass!
Honestly, I don't know what I expected, but after like 30 minutes of exploring the town, I was starting to get bored sooner than I thought. I left the house all excited but now I'm just trudging through the street. I guess besides all the Ghost crap, Danny's hometown really isn't crime ridden. Which, I mean, duh when I think about it for more than 5 seconds.
After turning taking another turn, just wishing for something to happen, I finally here something. Crying. In some random alley, I hear a weeping of a woman? Not exactly what I was coming out for but it's more than nothing so without a further thought I run through the alley to find the woman.
Finally reaching the end of the alley where the sound is coming from, I see nothing but a dead end and a pile of trash. It doesn't take me long to realize the trash in moving up and down, shuddering with the cry. My heart beat begins to quicken. Is it just me, or is this the perfect chance for some type of Garbage Ghost? I mean, if Box Ghost can exist, anything can.
I step forward.

As my hand comes closer and closer to the trash, I notice my hand shaking. And to be completely honest with you, I don't know if it was fear or excitement. I mean, yeah there are joke ghosts, but as I am, does that even matter? I still can't fly. I can't turn ghost. I can't even use the ecto blast! And that's like Ghost 101.
At the same time though, I can't deny some of my best moments are under pressure. Pressure makes diamonds, and maybe some actual excitement, danger, will be just what the doctor ordered. I mean, OG Danny didn't make any real progress until the Lunch Lady Ghost right? Sink or Swim Baby. Do or Die.
Quickly, I swipe away the piles and plastic bags filled with the unwanted and jump back as quickly as I can. I may be looking for trouble but that's no reason to be reckless. Or even more reckless than trying to find ghosts or criminals without proper control of my abilities.
However, my caution doesn't seem to be needed. Looking over, the spirit doesn't move. It doesn't do anything but float there and cry. Observing more closely, the ghost isn't even one of the fully formed ones. It looks like the cannon fodder from the opening of the show. The pure green blobs. The only identifying characteristic being a band that runs down their face.
I'm not gonna lie, after a good 5-10 seconds, I start to feel massively uncomfortable. I lower my guard and just stand there, watching and listening to the cry. Until I finally can't take it anymore and walk back up. This time with much less hesitation and place a hand on its shoulder. A hand that goes right through her. The action seems to make her weeps stronger.
What? Can I not touch them? They're clearly not intangible, in fact, they were just moving the trash around them, so there's no doubt they can interact with the physical world. How the hell does this work? Wait, focus man, there's a crying girl(?) in front of me. Focus on the right priorities. Figure out this ghost shit later.
"Hey, is there something wrong? Is there anything I can do to help?" I ask while taking knee to bring myself to their level. For a moment, the shivering and shaking stops and their red eyes seems to look up from the ground and look into mine. And we just stare at each other, before they widen in surprise.
"A-are you talking to me?" She(!) exclaims/asks. I nod slightly. Another anomaly? What's going on here? Maybe it's an issue of control. She may be going to invisible without trying to whenever someone comes. But that brings up the question why no one came before me? A child was crying in an alley.
"Of course I am sweetheart. There's no one else here is there? Any Ghost Parents or something?" I ask with a soft voice. I wonder how this happened. If this really is a problem of control, that means she's a new ghost. Someone who died recently. She can't be more than 9 or 10. How in the world did this child parish?
"Ghost Parents? Why would I have Ghost Parents silly?" she asks with a giggle which makes me raise an eyebrow. She points out of the alley to the park across the street. "Mommy and Daddy dropped me off at the park to play with my friends. But everyone is being super mean! No one wants to play with me. No one ever wants to play with me. Even Mommy and Daddy."
I look over to the park. It's pretty empty, a few kids here and there with their parents on the benches. This kid must have died somewhere around here. Maybe at the park itself? Another problem, she clearly doesn't know that she's passed. Or maybe she refuses to accept. Or simply can't comprehend what's happening.
"How about this sweetie, I'm not like those mean kids. You could play with me instead." I offer with a charming smile. The response I get makes my heart almost stop and my brow twitch. This girl had the gall to float back a bit and look at me with a face that clearly says, "Gross".
"Mommy says only sick nasty perverts ask kids to play with them when they're old. You're not going to offer me candy too, are you mister?" The little shit asks. It takes me a while to form a response that doesn't have me using foul language on a brat who just got out of diapers.
"Listen you little shit-" I failed. "You want someone to play with or not?" I ask one more time. My twitch gets even more exuberant as I watch her look me up and down with squinted eyes. I'm like 14 in this body! What the hell does she mean old?! Yet alone sick and nasty!"
"Daddy always said beggars can't be choosers." she responds with a sigh that makes it seem like she's the one doing me a favor. "But you have to promise to not be a weird, sick, nasty, pervert!" she demands while pointing at me in an accusing tone. Don't hit her. Don't hit her.
She holds out her pinkie and eyes seem to shine. Despite her previous words I can tell she's really excited. She's a brat but she is just a kid so I guess I can swallow my pride for now. I am a hero after all. What kind of one would I be if I left this situation like it is? I stick out my own pinkie and she interconnects them immediately with a wide smile.
"I promise." I relent with a roll of my eyes. I guess it can't hurt.

The girl grabs my hand and begins dragging me out of the alley. The power physics here is really starting to confuse me. So now I can touch her? Why couldn't I before? I'm starting to think ghosts just make no fucking sense. As I contemplate this cartoon world and the laws that govern it, we make it to the edge of the street.
There's no crosswalk and we stop, which I find completely normal at first. But after looking back and forth a couple of times and not a single car passing, we were still standing there. I look down to see her staring at the street. She must be waiting for me to lead her across.
So I glance left and right one last time before I lead this time and take a step into the street. I feel her hand pass right through me. I take a look back to see her staring. Not taking her eyes off of the street. Her shivering starts back up and tears begin to slide down her cheeks. I notice that her it's not just the shaking this time. Her chest is rising up and down rapidly. Is she having a panic attack?
"Hey. Hey look at me. Look at me." I demand while taking a knee. Once again I try to place my hands on her shoulder but just like last time, I went right through her. She refuses to look at me and after a couple tries of waving my hand in front of her, I curse in frustration.
I take a deep breath and focus. I've been practicing with my powers a lot since the possession, and one of the progress points I've made is the focus required to activate my intangibility on specific parts of my body without needing to do it in bursts. At this point it's not second nature but it comes to me with much less fight. This time, I go to grab her shoulders, and let out a breath of relief when I feel the contact.
"Breath. You have to calm down and breathe." I say while giving her a little shake, which seems to be enough to have her finally match my sight. "You're name. What's your name?" I ask while trying to stay of focus. Her mouth moves up and down as she tries to speak.
"I don't know. I don't know my name." she responds. The realization seems to make her mental state worse. "I can't remember. Why can't I remember? I'm scared. I'm so scared. This is wrong. This is wrong!" she screams. And something else catches my attention. In the center of her chest, some purple appeared on her green form. Small and slow but noticeably spreading. What in the hell is that?
"It's okay!" I yell while forcing myself to focus. I can worry about all the weird shit later. Right now, there are more important things. I force the girl into my arms and squeeze. "I know, it's scary, but it'll be okay. My name is Danny. I'll help you remember your name. And if we can't, we'll give you a new one. Whatever happens, I'll help you. I promise."
And that's where we stay. For a full minute, maybe even two, I hold the dead girl in my arms as her sobs subside. Only when they are completely gone do I grab her hand and stand. There's something about the street that triggered her. But right now isn't the time to ask her about it.
"Now why don't we head to the park and have some fun kiddo?" I ask and I see her body tense. I give her little hand a squeeze of Reassurance. "Don't worry, while I'm here, nothing bad will happen. Trust me." I state. And while I can see that she's still scared, she lets me lead her across the street. Once we reach the sidewalk, it's like a switch flipped inside the brat, and she's all smiles.
"Hey mister, I get it, I'm adorable. But you promised not to be a creep. Couldn't even last 30 seconds huh?" the little shit says while looking out hands with a single eyebrow raised. You can't be serious. The moment she isn't freaking out she turns back into a menace?
"Whatever kid, you want to play on the swings?" I say while letting go. She doesn't even respect me enough to give me an answer. She runs to the swings before sitting down on one. I wait there for her to start swinging but she just sits there staring at me with an expectant look in her eyes. I roll my eyes before walking behind and begin to push.
"Weeeeee! C'mon old man, higher!" she laughs out while my eye begins to twitch again. Is there something wrong with her eyes?! I'm 14 dammit, I shouldn't have to already be going through this! Injustice is what it is! This is what I get for trying to be nice. Maybe I should turn into a villain!
"Oh you want higher kid? I'll give you higher!" I shout while repositioning a bit. Previously I was just one handing it, y'know for safety, like a bitch. We wouldn't want her to get hurt after all. But then I realized, the little asshole can float! In fact she doesn't have legs, she has a wispy ghost tail. What is she going to do? Fall?
"Whoooo! I'm sorry for calling you an old man before, I didn't realize you were a grandma. Put down your cane and use your back!" she yells with a smile. Which causes me to growl and start put all of my strength into it. Now I know what you're thinking. And yes I know, the goading wasn't even good, but I never said I was mature!
With one particular hard push, I use all of my strength and fling her ass. Unfortunately while she was at her apex, her butt left the seat and my eyes widen. She goes flying in a perfect arc and crosses the entire park.
Shit.
I would be more worried, but her annoying, "Wheeeeeeeee!" didn't help me take the situation seriously. Nor did her giggles as she slowly floated down and back over. "Wow that was fun. You're stronger than you look Mister."
"Would you stop it with the 'Mister' already. I told you, my name is Danny." I tell my name again. After her meltdown, it seems she's had a complete reset. But that word is starting to grate on me.
"Oh yeah...Danny." she repeats as if tasting it on her tongue. "I guess I forgot. Teehee!"
"Don't 'Teehee' me brat!" I yell back. I can see that she was going to say something sassy in response, I mean, at this point it's her M.O., but before she could another kid pops up from behind me.
"Who are you talking to?" the boy asks innocently with big eyes. He's carrying a blanket over his shoulder that's dragging across the ground and wearing bright orange overalls. So they can't see her, like I thought. "It it a imaginary friend? I had one of those when I was kid." he then says with a smirk.
Okay, what the fuck is wrong with the children in this world?! Why are all of them little shits!? I make a shoo motion with my hands. "Get. Get. I have no time for another one. I already have my hands full with one."
"Haha he sounds grouchy but he's really a teddy bear. You can come play with us if you want!" the girl invites the boy. But instead of a response, the boy simply sticks his tongue out at me and runs to play with the other kids around. I sigh as I notice the dejected look on the girls face.
"Hey, don't worry about him. 3 is a crowd anyway. Let's use the seesaw next!" I say while pointing to the other end of the park. It was more empty on the other side. At first, a conflicted look came across her face, but after shaking her head she looked up with a smile and a nod.
And that's how we spent the night.
Honestly, all of my grumbling aside, it was a bit fun. I could tell the girl really needed a friend. Yeah she's a bit bossy and has absolutely no respect for her elders, but there's just something about children laughing that puts a person in a good mood. Y'know, unless you're a heartless monster.
I end up actually losing track of time and before I knew it, a quick check showed it to be 2AM. I look down at the kid within my arms who ended up falling asleep. During the time I've been playing with her, I completely forgot about the reason I decided to come out here. But I guess I shouldn't be disappointed about crime NOT happening.
I know I should wake her up, but she looks so peaceful. And my eyes, they feel so heavy. I mean, it wouldn't be so bad if I just closed them for a bit right. Just to let them rest, I'm in the middle of a park, even if this town is relatively safe on the mundane criminal scale, it's still a bad idea.
That's why I'm only resting them. That and feels good. So nice. Honestly, who even needs beds. This is the most comfortable I've ever been. Not enough to sleep of course. Because that would be dumb, and my will is strong enough to stop myself from making such a stupid mistake.
...Yes. When I get too close to the edge, I will stand and wake her up...just don't want to bother her right now. I'm not a monster...Alright. I guess I am a bit more sleep than I thought. I should leave and get home. Maybe even bring the brat with as well. Does she ahave anywhere to go?
...In 5 minutes...I'll get up in 5 more minutes...No questions asked...
