"Papa! Papa! Look!" Himawari said pointing towards the incoming temple squinting her eyes.
"Good job baby." Naruto said patting her head looking towards the temple.
'She spotted that quite far away. Is my little girl developing the byakugan?' Naruto thought in confusion fondly rubbing her head.
'If only her mother could see her now' Naruto thought deeply in bitterness nearly frowing before looking ahead himself.
Surprisingly the Air bending family wasn't currently stationed in Republic city but the Eastern Air temple.
'And wasn't that quite the suprise? If I couldn't make clones I'd probably not have came. Hopefully everything will be done by time as we come back.'
Coming in he saw other sky bison of foreign variety from the ones he knew flying to join the pack.
Smiling at seeing it he decided to have some fun taking higher to the skys performing rather simple aerial maneuvers not that his kids knew that by how they were acting.
"Again! Again!" They chanted as he started circling the island in preparation for landing.
Naruto truly understood why they wanted to go again. Flying was truly exhilarating. He didn't have the time to enjoy before because he only used his ability to fight but clearly it was extremely relaxing at any other time.
"Later kids." he said as he landed before the suprised Avatar family.
'Can't let them get too addicted to it however! I'm sure that isn't a good idea probably. ' He thought uncertain as he got him and his kids down safely.
'Quite the place here. These air nomads really knew how to live. I can only compare it to Mount Myōboku if I had to' He thought as he glanced around at the unique scenery remembering the last temple he visited.
Sticking a hand out as he aproached he said" Good Morning you must be Tenzin? I've heard great things about you, my name is Naruto Uzumaki and these 2 munchkins are my family."
'A bald head huh? Well I certainly ain't judging.'
Tenzin was truly suprised. Down to the man's look he had never seen even in all his years of traveling, the blonde hair , the age and the herd of fully grown sky bison.
'Now where on earth does this young man originate from? The Fire Nation apparel lends credence to the idea he's a native there, but there's certainly none like him I know that.'
Composing himself swiftly lest he look he rude he answered taking hold of the hand strongly.
" A good morning too you aswell young man. Its a pleasure to meet your acquaintance. I am Council Man Tenzin and this" He gestured behind him " Is my family"
Naruto pushing foward the twins seeing a opportunity to get them to socialize he told them "Go on then kids introduce yourselves."
'KIDS!' Everyone who was in attendance thought looking towards the children who came foward to the young man in shock
"Uzumaki Boruto Dattebasa!" "Uzumaki Himawari!" They said posing in perfect sync.
"!!" Naruto blinked in horror at what he heard Boruto say.
'Oi Oi Oi Oi?! Who did you learn that from?!'
Tenzin regaining his calm turned to his family nodding.
"Hello young man! I'm Pema Tenzin's Wife and this little guy is Rohan our youngest." She said bouncing up the little baby.
"A pleasure to meet you both." Naruto said smiling at the babe.
Bumi and Kya coming foward introduced themselves aswell.
" And I'm Kya young man and I'm the middle child of us three siblings" She said gesturing to Tenzin , Bumi and herself
"And it's a pleasure to meet you all of you." She nodding to him smilling at the kids.
"And I'm Bumi. Perhaps you've heard of me? The legendary commander of the-" he was interrupted.
"Bumi./Bumi!" Kya and Tenzin both said in exasperation.
"...You both never let me have anything." Bumi said a bit down.
"Well I'm Meelo! The inventor of fart bending!" He said patting his uncles knee.
'Fart bending?' Naruto thought his lips twitching upwards.
"And I'm Ikki! Anyways Mr. Uzumaki! Why is your hair yellow?! Why do you have whiskers?! Why do you look so different?! And how do you have kids you only look 4 years older than Jinora and and !" she spat rapidly before getting a hand around her mouth Jinora covering her mouth.
"Sorry Mr.Uzumaki. She gets a bit...jitery around new people. And I'm Jinora." She said politely bowing holding down a struggling Ikki.
Naruto a bit overwhelmed deeply amused said " Don't worry about it too much little lady and Tenzin it would seem you've been blessed with quite the family!"
"Mmm" Tenzin said stroking his beard nodding in acknowledgement a bit troubled.
'Quite the lively bunch! I don't doubt theres never a dull day around here!' He thought to himself in amusement putting a hand on Boruto's head idly.
"Then you all? Shall we discuss the Bison then? I'm sure they would love a new home."
Naruto said towards them all though he was looking at Tenzin.
"Ah Then I'll prepare the tea!" Pema said before being interrupted.
"Ah Ah Ah no can do! I'll be doing that while you rest."Bumi said not taking no for a answer immediately leaving.
Tenzin smilling shaking his head said nothing not surprised knowing his brother could be quite considerant when he was ready.
"Then Mr.Uzumaki, Young Himawari, Young Boruto let's discuss at the table?" He said bringing them along.
"Ah you all call me Naruto. Mr. Uzumaki is quite awkward for me." Naruto said smilling as he heard the affirmative answers.
"Hmm that's bit hot." Naruto said looking at the cups with steam flowing up.
Taking both cups and bending out the heat he smiled placing them down.
Looking up already anticipating he held back a laugh at the suprised faces.
"Naruto? You're a water bender? No a fire bender?" Kya said in confusion tilting her head.
"No no Kya. It would seem he bent the heat out! That's a feat Avatar Roku did with fire bending." Tenzin said in disagreement looking surprised.
"Heh? Was it ever confirmed? Maybe he used water bending and we just don't know?! He was the avatar afterall!" Kya said rolling her eyes.
"That is simply illogical! How about we simply ask Naruto then?" He said as they all looked at him.
Naruto smiling said in amusement" I think I'll keep this as a secret for now clearly this Roku fella wanted you all to figure this out."
Tenzin and Kya going back to arguing Naruto turned his attention to the rest of the family.
"???" He tilted his head seeing Jinora turn away quickly when he looked at her.
"Hmm" Naruto furrowed his brows in confusion before looking up at his head.
'Ah thats why!' He thought blinking.
'Seems she saw that little fella who followed us'
' We'll be having a talk soon enough haven't seen anyone who could see him before besides me and the kids.'
"So Tenzin shall we discuss about the Bison herd?" Naruto said sipping the tea glancing down at the kids who faced scrunched up copying him.
'Cute.' Naruto thought in amusement.
'Ah I nearly forgot why we came here already!' Tenzin thought.
"Of course! A paramount issue. Mr Uzumaki were there any bison left where you acquired these ones from?" Tenzin said leaning in his family doing the same.
Shaking his head in negative Naruto said "No. Well not that I know of. I had looked but if there were any they didn't make themselves known."
Sighing Tenzin looked down with a "I see".
"Then shall we talk about the compensation? " Tenzin said getting to the meat of the matter.
'It would not do to seem ungrateful.'
Tilting his head in confusion Naruto echoed him.
"Of course! These animals are still endangered to this day! Your feat of finding a fully grown pack has to be honored somehow. You've helped preserve the culture of my people this is the bare minimum of repayment truly. " Tenzin said righteously .
Observing the rigid unyielding stance very contrary to the airbenders he read about Naruto shaking his head with a undetectable smile said "And I'm sure I can't change your mind on that huh?" getting a vigorous head nod in response.
Nodding to himself Naruto said" That's all right then but please don't go too overboard with it. I came because it was the right thing to do. Nothing else."
Tenzin sitting back stroking his beard eyes twinkling said " A honorable thing Naruto. And don't worry I shall endeavor to make sure you are rewarded reasonably. "
'Hmm. I don't like that look on his face.' Naruto thought uncomfortable.
"Dad can we go see the bison now?!" Meelo said jitery as he and his siblings were waiting quietly knowing they had to respect their father and guest.
Glancing at Naruto getting a nod Tenzin said " Of course but be careful" he hardly said before they were already out long gone, Bumi following right after.
"So Naruto. Where's the mother?" Pema said curiously wanting to see the lady who gave birth to such cute little kids.
She could already make out a picture of how she looked by looking at the family.
"I'm afraid she's no longer with us." Naruto said sadly glancing at his kids making sure they were all right.
'Seems they aren't too interested in "adult" talk that's good.'
"Ah" Pema face took on a shame faced hue.
'Really stepped into that one huh?' She thought sadly.
"Don't worry too much about it Pema, it was a perfectly reasonable question." Naruto said smilling blandly sipping his tea.
"My condolences Naruto. I'm sure she was a lovely young woman. " Tenzin said lowly with Kya nodding to indicate similar thoughts.
"Heh. You don't know the half of it." Naruto said smilling a bit more genuine now.
The other adults glanced at each other in relief seeing the young man who's face seemed stuck on neutral gain a lighter tone.
'Everyone has their own story to tell huh?' Tenzin thought to himself.
"Ahh these little guys seem tuckered out." Naruto said seeing them both yawning.
"Ah! There are spare rooms this way. You can stay with us if you wish." Pema said getting up in guilt.
'Hmm. That doesn't sound to bad.' Naruto thought glancing at the kids.
"Then I will take you up on your offer. Thank you" He said bowing picking the 2 up.
Tucking them in the bed Naruto thought 'They must've been really tired! Didn't even need to tell them a story to get them to sleep.'
Walking out slowly as to make no noise he opened the door closing it quietly.
So he was able to see a startled Jinora walking towards his room.
'That makes this easier.'
"So I assume you could my little friend huh?" He said to the sneaking away kid.
Stopping in shock Jinora turned around looking at him with wide eyes.
'He can see them?!' She thought in shock.
Jinora said nothing for a bit before deciding on a action.
"Ah Mr.Uzumaki what do you mean?" She said in fake confusion to make sure they were on the same page wanting him to clarify before giving herself away.
Naruto shaking his head at this little missy's act picked the lemur off his head channeling a thin layer of chi showing it to her.
"This guy right here young lady. Are you saying you can't see him?" He said in deep merriment watching her eyes follow his hands as he moved it side to side.
"Mr .Uzumaki!" " Call me Naruto." "Please don't shake him so much he's fragile!" She said in fright.
"This little guy?" Naruto said in bafflement, looking at the shame faced lemur remembering how they met who also seemed to pick up on what he was thinking about.
'She can tell it's a boy as well? '
Nodding sternly Jinora gently picked him out of his hands patting his head before looking at Naruto a bit stunned. "You can see the spirits too Mr.Uzumaki!"
"It'd seem so huh?" He said looking at the girl who seemed to think she found gold.
Breathing out slowly Jinora said "I have soooo many questions."
'I thought I was the only one! There's so many people in the world yet there isn't a single book on what I can do its maddening!' Jinora thought looking up at Naruto with stars in her eyes.
'That'd be both of us then.' Naruto thought to himself knowing he didn't know to much about this still.
He was deeply curious about it aswell afterall he couldn't say he quite ever saw anything like these spirits before.
He of course knew a lot but there were things people simply grew up on here that he wouldn't be able to read in any book.
'It's not time for that now though.'
"Though it'll have to wait. I'm sure your father may be curious why we were so long and it seems he doesn't quite know about your talent huh." Naruto said feeling amused at her paling face.
Walking by her he patted her on the shoulder saying "I'll take care of it don't worry to much."
Walking outside Naruto saw the family admiring the bison.
"Ah Naruto, Jinora what took you so long?" Tenzin said curious.
"Ah Tenzin. She was just curious about a particular ability of mine." He said hinting at the previous stunt he pulled.
"Though she got no further than you and your sister." He said lips twitching.
Tenzin looking at his dear eldest who was clearly trying to help her father smiled and said " Hmpf. It would seem you won't yield to even the curiosity of children Naruto. "
Naruto shaking his head as he looked upon the bison said "If I didn't devolp a resistance to cute things those two bite sized terrors would have ruled me by now."
"It would also seem the leader has become quite attached to you Naruto." Tenzin said amused seeing the bison try to lick the Uzumaki oblivious to Jinora who was deeply impressed at Naruto's ability to bend the truth.
'Maybe he can teach me?' She thought remembering all the times she was caught in a lie by her parents.
"Yep. This big guy seemed quite taken with my family." Naruto said pushing the bison off using his strength subtly getting wide eyes from Meelo.
'He's stronger than Korra?!' The fart master thought.
Tenzin thinking to himself a bit then said "Then you should take him for yourself Naruto. "
"Really?" Naruto said intrigued.
"I thought you needed all you could get?"
"That's indeed true however, it would not do to break a bond between bison and man. Bigger and stronger men than me tried and failed." Tenzin said resolute.
'Well I was thinking of finding one of these guys for myself. This just makes it easier.'
"I'll accept your offer Tenzin. I know how much these guys mean to you so thank you." Naruto said sincerely.
Tenzin about say it was no issue was interrupted by Ikki.
"Naruto! What are you gonna name him!" Ikki said in excitement.
"Name him?" Naruto said in confusion.
"Well its a bit of an unspoken tradition around here to name Sky Bison when they become attached since their basically family at that point," Bumi said, nodding arms folded across his chest.
"A name huh?" Naruto said looking at him.
'Kurama? No...that's a bit cliche and I wouldn't want to see his reaction if we ever meet again.' Naruto thought in amusement as he thought for names.
"Hmm I'll name you Gamakichi" Naruto said nodding his head.
"Do you like it?" He said getting a massive roar in response.
'Seems he likes it.' Naruto thought smilling.
"Gama kishi?" Ikki said sounding it out the clearly very foreign name.
"Mhm. It's the name of a old friend of mine." Naruto said patting the bison.
"Eh personally I'd name him Cutie patootie but if it works I guess." Ikki said shrugging.
"So Naruto how long will you be staying?" Tenzin said curiously.
'This young man clearly needs help. Raising kids ,twins at that,at his age is no easy feat and to lose the mother of his children as well' Tenzin thought furrowing his brows.
"Ah? I'll probably stay for 2 or 3 days. You see I just bought some land in republic city and I need to make sure everything is going ok." Naruto said .
"Hmm? It would seem you're quite well off Naruto" Kya said raising a brow resting her chin on top of her hand knowing exactly the money and connections needed to get land in Republic city the price still rising.
"I've had some opportunities. " Naruto nodded.
"Well when you get back please tell us your address or come visit. It'd be nice to have you all around and some playmates for Rohan." Pema said towards him.
"Of course. That's no problem at all." He said not at all thinking it a bad idea.
'It'd seem I've made some friends here huh Kurama?'
uh decided to update the older fics before making new ones again. Lol.
Also I have a draft thats been here since my first upload. It's a fairy tail one with a 3 year old Naruto Uzumaki blood adopted by Ivan Dreyar leader of raven tail, Laxus dad , Makarov's son.
Yes blood adopted cliche I know but from what I've seen of fairy tail, it's not even middle in the scale of wacky and I need it to give him some access to magic.
Anyways it's a Naruto who was found by Ivan that gets abused emotionally by him and raised to hate Makarov and Laxus. He'd have spirit magic (not celestial spirit) a magic he made himself to compensate him not being from that world, and he'd fight Laxus at the Grand Magic games where the fic starts. He'll be 12 at that time.
Dunno really what to do with it.
