Last time on Swordmen of the west; The Taners were in Sharilton as they were taking the day to themselves. But it didn't last long as a dimensional rift appears and pull them in. Kirito, Asuna, Sinon, Yuuki, and Yui found themselves on a frozen mountain during a blizzard. There they met the dimensional guide Pax. He told then that their old foe Red eye Zara AKA Death gun has appears in this world of outlaws. To find him, they will need to help a group of them to survive. The Tamers soon met them as they free a homestead from another gang call the O'dricolls. From there they join up with the rest of the gang in hopes of making it off the mountain.

Chapter 2

Enter, Pursued By Memory

Kirito Pov: To think this would happen to us. We somehow ended up back on earth and in the time of the wild west of all places. Why, according to this Pax guy we met, Death gun is here for some reason and we need to take him down. This won['t be easy since we have no idea what we could run into here. Because of this, we were force to help a group of crooks for now to survive the icy mountain were on. The next day, I told their leader Dutch, little as possible about our world. I kept to the basics about us and the Digimon and that was it. He agreed to let hand with them for the moment. Once3 we can get off of this mountain we can start tracking Death gun. Right now I was with Sinon as we took a look around the mining town were using as our camp. The gang gave us some warmer clothes to make due with the weather. "To think we would join a bunch of crooks." Sino said. "I know, here we are Huntsmen who catch criminals and now were helping them." I said.

"We don't really have much of a choice Kirito, that Pax guys claims we need them to find Death gun in this world. To think he is running around somewhere doing who knows what?' She ask. "True, for all we know other members of laughing coffin could be here helping him. Hell even Johnny black." I said. "Let hope not, hearing how that bastard almost killed you was hard enough, and we both know what happen to Poh." She said. "Yeah, we'll worry about Death gun later. For now we need to focus on surviving on this mountain." I said as we saw Arthur walking toward us. "How are you kids getting along?" He ask. "Were fine, thank you fir letting us stay until we can figure out what to do." I said. "No problem, Thou were curious about this Death gun person you mention to Dutch." Arthur said. "he someone we dealt with before, a real monster, he arrested him and his brother a long time ago but now he out and causing trouble somewhere here." Sinon said with some hatred in her voice.

"I see, he must have wrong you quite a bit." Rather said. "You have no idea, he was part of a group I help take down some time ago, they are nothing but killers." I said. 'Well if we come across him, we'll be happy to take him out." He said as a woman came over to us. Abigail Marston I think her name is. She was talking with Hosea. "Hello, Arthur, kids." She said. "Arthur… how you doing?" She ask. "Just fine, Abigail… and you?" He ask. Abigail look worry. "I need you to… I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry to ask but…" She said. Arthur sighs. "It's little John… he's got himself caught into a scrape again." Arthur said. "John, I don't think we met him yet." I said. " He aren't been seen in two…. two days." Abigail said worry. "Your John'll be fine. I mean… he may be as dumb as rocks and as dull as rusted iron… but that aren't changing because… he got caught in some snowstorm." Arthur said. "Not sure about that6 Arthur, that storm was pretty bad." Sinon said. "She may be right, it be best to take a look, Javier?" Hosea ask as a Mexican man walk by.

"Yes?" He said. "Javier, will you ride out with Arthur… to take a look for John? You're the two best fit men we've got. She's… we're all… we're pretty worried about him." Hosea said. Javier look to Arthur. "I know if the situation were reversed and… he'd look for me." He said. "We'll come too." I said. "I'm pretty good at tracking as well." Sinon said. "Thank you." Abigail said as we got on our horses as rode off. "This way. Last I know, John was headed up the river." Javier said. "For all we know… he kept riding north and never looked back." Arthur said. "You think he would?" I ask. "Well, wouldn't be the first time." Arthur said. "You sound like you don't like John very much." Sinon said. "With good reason Miss Sinon." He said. "Hey, I see some smoke. Come on, let's take a look." Javier said as we saw smoke in the distance. We follow it to come to a camp fire. We got off the horses to check it out. "Well… …seems somebody left… recently… and… that way. There's some tracks leading to the river." Javier said.

'Yeah, they look to head for the river, their a few hours old." Sinon said. as we got moving. "Let's cross. See, they continue up that way." Javier said as we cross the river and head up a near by mountain. "Do you think it's John?" Arthur ask. "You tell me. These are horse tracks for sure, but… could be anyone. Let's just see where they lead." Javier said as we ride up a mountain path. "So… you were there, Javier, what really happened on that boat?" Arthur ask. "Boat?" Vielecmon ask. "I forgot your pets can talk. Yes well were trying to rob a river boat. We had the money, it seemed fine, then suddenly they were everywhere." Javier said. "Bounty hunters?" Arthur ask. "No. Pinkertons. It was crazy. Raining bullets. Watch out for this crevice. Dutch killed a girl in a… bad way, but it was a bad situation." Javier said. "That ain't like him, though." Arthur said concern. "Oh must have been intense." I said. "The tracks continue along the cliff here." Javier said as we carefully rode along a cliff wall.

"Davey got shot, Mac and John… both shot too. Sean, we don't even know. I'm surprised we escaped at all. By the time you boys showed up from the other side of town, we were only just holding on." Javier said. "Bad business alright. Damn snow's coming in hard again." Arthur said as the snow press against us. "Shit, we might end up losing the trail here." Sinon said. "Yeah, a lot of fresh snow here.' Javier said. "I don't know about this, Javier. We can't follow nothing." Arthur said. "Let's push on a little bit, maybe we'll pick up the trail again." Javier said as we kept going. "There's some tracks leading to the river. John was riding that horse when we left Blackwater, Let's see if he can hear us." Javier said as he shot his gun in the air a few times. "Hey! Help! Here!" A voice call out. "Did you hear that?" I ask. "It's coming from up ahead somewhere." Javier said. "I don't think we can go much further on the horses. We'll have to walk from here." Arthur said as we left the horses as he grab a shotgun from his horse. We continue on foot up the cliffs.

"Over here! Help!" The voice shout again. "It sounds like it coming from this way." Sinon said. "Mierda (Shit), we're high up here." Javier said. "It could be worse, we could be falling off a dragon." I said. "That really happen?" Sinon ask. "Just ask Lisbeth." I said as we continue on. "Hey! Over here!" We heard the voice again as we head down a cliff. "That sounds closer now. Come on. We're coming, John!" Javier said as we pick up the pace. "I'm not designed for this snow… Let's keep moving then, come on. John, where are you? John, you there? John! John, can you hear me?" Javier call out. "Marston!" Arthur shout. "I'm here! Out on the ledge!" The voice said. "Over here!" I shout as I spot a man sitting on a ledge. Hiss face look like it was claw by a animal. "That's quite a scratch you got there." Arthur said with a smirk. "Never thought I'd say this, but… it's good to see you, Arthur Morgan." John said. "You don't look so good." Arthur said. "I don't feel too good neither." John said as Arthur thrown him onto his shoulder.

"So who are they?" John said looking at me and Sinon. "Some interesting tag alongs, we'll explain later." Arthur said. "Come on, compadre. Well, we can't go back the way we came. Let's try this way." Javier said. "Ain't you a sorry sight?" Arthur said. "Can't… argue with you there." John said. "You going to be alright?" Sinon ask. "I think so." He said as we try to get back to the horse. "Come on, hopefully this will lead us out. You see that, on the ridge?" Javier said. We look to the ridge to see a pack of wolves. "Well shit." I said. ": Shit. I'll distract them while you get to the horses. Go, I'll draw 'em off you." Arthur said as he gave john to Javier. "We'll back you up." Sinon said as she aim at the wolves and shot at one taking it out. The wolves came at us as they got. Arthur use his shot gun to take out two of them. "Double circular!" I shout as I cut down 2 of them. "Jamming thunder!" Vielecmon shout as he shot a lighting blasting blast at them. The remaining wolves stop in their tracks and look at us. One howl as the pack turn around and leave.

"Guess they knew they were out match." I said. "Pretty much, let get going." Sinon said as we mount our horse and rode off. "I don't feel too good." John said. "You'll be fine. It's just like a… a dog bite." Javier said. John sigh. "I knew a feller, got bit by a dog. Died an hour later." He said. "You ain't gonna die. Not yet. Up there, more of 'em!" Javier shout as we saw more wolves chasing after us. "Guess these beasts haven't learn their lesson." Vielecmon said. "I got this." Sinon said as she threw a grenade at them as it explodes causing them to scatter and run off. "That show them." she said. "You still with us, Marston?" Arthur said. "Just about." John said. "You're gonna be okay. We have some shelter now." Javier said. "Thanks for coming for me." John said. "It no problem." I said. "Of course. That bullet in Blackwater, now this? You had a hell of a time." Javier said. "He almost as lucky as you Kirito." Sinon joke. "Please my luck is shit." I said. "None of us are lucky right now. We should ride in the water for a bit, try to lose the scent. Don't want to leave a trail right back to camp." Javier said.

"You know, we're gonna need to come up with a better story for that scar." Arthur said. "So, freezing, bleeding, starving, damn near getting eaten to death, ain't good enough for you?" John said. "Could have been worse, you could have ran into bear." I said. "See those buildings up ahead, John? That's where we're camped. Nearly there." Javier said as we came back to the camp. "Come on! Someone help John down off this horse." Javier said as some of the others came to help. "Asuna, were going to need your help here." I said. "Leave it to me, I'll get him patch up." Asuna said. "You're alive! Oh you're alive!" Abigail said happy as she can be. "C'mon, here we go. There we go. Ay, careful idiotas, it's his leg." Javier said as they help John down. "Come on, let's get you warm. Thank you. Thank you." Abigail said as they head for a cabin. "Thank you all of you." Hosea said grateful. "Any more maiden that need saving?" Javier ask. 'Not at the moment." Hosea said as Javier walk away. "Have you and Dutch talked about… how we're gonna get out of this?" Arthur said.

"I was just discussing with Herr Strauss… when the weather breaks I… suppose we'll have to keep heading east." Hosea said. Arthur look worry. "East? Into all that… that civilization?" He said. 'We don't have much of a choice. We can't stay here." I said. "I know… the west is where our problems are worse. Come on, Herr Strauss. Let's get warm." Hosea said as he and Strauss walk away. Arthur left too his cabin. "Well today was eventful." Sinon said. "True, but we got to know a little more about the gang, come on let go warm up." I said as we head for our cabin.
