Chapter 13: Fuck the Story Plot.

H.S.: Hello, everyone! Thank you for your patience, here's the chapter that you've been waiting for. It toom me a while, because I've been quite busy, and I forgot the password for this.

There might be grammatical errors, missing words, or typos. As for the lack of more spacing, weird lines...I cannot change that, no matter what. My devices (phone and laptop) somehow won't allow me to do so, so I apologize in advance if its like this.

Also, I'm not quite sure if I had already mentioned it before, but this fanfic will have lots of crossovers from other fandoms: its going to be a bit wacky. There may or may not be LGBTQ stuff mentioned here now and then, and this Author's note is to inform you of this possibility. No, I do not plan to do any shipping right now, until the all the Varia kids existing, and are all adults. I'm not too good with romance, so there may not be obvious romance when they reavh adolescence or adulthood, so ot really depends! That is all, enjoy!

(P.S.:No beta–we die like future Byakuran.)

Xanxus, by all means, is not a patient man;that is-when it comes to getting answers.

He'd rather use intimidation or use force if he wanted answers-especially if he's pissed off at someone.

Normally, that would be what he would be doing anyway;and yet...

The scarlet-eyed man roamed his eyes around the room to eye the fidgeting professors:he had demanded for a meeting as soon as a panicking Regulus contacted him (via, their mental connection a.k.a., their bond) that his children had found some way to enter the "Chamber of Secrets".

...And that meant that they encountered the basilisk; sure, they very nearly died-what with Harry's reckless and hasty rescue operation- but other than that, nobody really got severely hurt.

Of course- just because nothing bad happened to them, doesn't mean that Squalo would let them off: while Xanxus was a bit concerned for what happened, he had enough trust in his kids to be able to survive their basilisk.

After all...what exactly could be worst than their furious Mama? If anything, they'd probably choose to face the basilisk and fight it again than deal and be chewed out by their Mama.

Too bad Xanxus wasn't eager to get in her way.

...At least Harry didn't get bitten by the basilisk...which means no phoenix to come to the rescue, equals no stupid old fucker claiming that he saved Harry's life, thus no life debt of sorts.

Oh, but the phoenix did arrive in time to help them out of the chamber: and yes, other than Ron and Harry, the Varia twins were there as well along with Regulus.

Gavrilo stayed behind with the petrified Hermione, saying that it would be better if one of them stays.

Again,Xanxus silently stared down at the professors, while Squalo outright glared at them.

"...Oi,old geezer..." The Wrathful Sky began, voice low, dangerous and just a tad bit disrespectful; McGonagall looked like she was about to speak up from such disrespect, taking offense to his tone and at what he had called the Headmaster.

She only backed down when the Headmaster gestured for her to do so.

...Xanxus honestly thought she was either very brave or a fool:then again, he respects the woman for even thinking that she has the means to fight him if she has to.

Xanxus felt an inner feeling of disgust and grudging respect towards the Headmaster: what a sly Night Sky.

Xanxus however, continued on and did not let this faze or distract him.

"Did I not warn you years ago?Or have you gone senile?I did not exchange more than half of my lifespan and memories just for you to not be able to do something."

The Headmaster sighed, smiling apologetically at the glowering man.

"I did try,my boy. But it seems that the curse on the DADA position always finds a way to cause chaos-"

Slam!

Squalo slammed her hands on his desk, practically growling: her eyes glowed a bright blue with the effects of her Rain flames, making the wary wizards quickly point their wands at her.

And Xanxus watched this from the sidelines, and saw Regulus facepalm when the wizards pulled out their wands.

"VOIIIII! Don't fucking call him your 'boy'! And what the fuck, old geezer? You're supposed to be fucking hailed as the second coming of Merlin or some shit! And yet you failed to even make sure that your shitty school is actually secure enough to prevent another incident?!"

Her husband pursed his lips, before pressing it into a thin line: he kept his eyes on the oldest wizard, as he opened his mouth.

"Squalo." He warned, making the furious Rain bristled at first, before finally falling silent.

...Really, it's not like their children died:sure, they almost did, but they're Varia kids-which meant they can withstand any trials and survive.

And while Xanxus is as displeased as Squalo that none of their safety measures seem to be working, it's not like they can easily go against fate.

... Alright, fine, Xanxus was pissed off and furious: but someone has to be calm, or Mammon will chew him out.

Xanxus then continued, eyes narrowed as he tried to keep his words polite.

...Mammon would have his head as well if he didn't. And he has no desire to deal with the old miser, especially if they can be quite petty with everything.

"...You had said before that there would not be any kind of endangerment. That the school is safe, and thus, we need not worry about our children. And yet, Harry Potter has once again–"

"Not my fault the teachers are incompetent..." Harry muttered under his breath bitterly. Xanxus almost smirked at how sassy his son can be, before he continues.

"–dived into danger...and this time, not only is he involved, but so were our children; do you really not care about your students? From what I heard, the last time the Chamber was opened, a student died."

The headmaster obviously knew what he was basically trying to say: and Xanxus knew that even if he warned the wizard in advance, there was no chance of trying to change the future events set in motion by the Fates.

Still...he wanted to try and change things-he had to. For the sake of his nephew. For what he promised his younger brother and his wife.

Prophecies always found a way to fulfill itself-mostly because those involved went about their way trying to avoid it, only to accidentally set off the events needed for a prophecy to be fulfilled.

This was called a "self-fulfilling prophecy": like it was stated before, the more you try to avoid something, the more things become true.

Now, normally it's 'impossible' to interfere in one's fate or destiny: there were a rare few of those exempted from it-that no matter what actions and decisions you make, you'd be unpunished.

(These type of people were those loved by the Fates;mostly because they were probably interesting and made odd choices.)

Those directly involved with the Fates, however, were the most impossible to change.

...That is, if one was not involved with someone who was not part of so called "work of the Fates".

Take Xanxus for example-he wasn't supposed to be involved with Harry Potter...hell, he wasn't supposed to be born in this world!

In the original Harry Potter, he was supposed to be alone: and only then did he gain allies when he entered the Wizarding World.

He was supposed to overcome all the 'trials' that came to his school every year: he was supposed to be the only one to triumph through these things.

Yet here he was, with a family: his siblings-Xanxus' kids- joining him almost all the time.

Xanxus knew that he couldn't interfere much-he actually wasn't supposed to be able to even help the child of his little brother. But of course... being influenced by a certain Sky, who is Tsunayoshi Sawada, Xanxus couldn't turn a blind eye to family...lf course, Xanxus helping does have some resulting consequences now and then.

Normally, one would be punished if you meddle with Fate's work: so far, none has happened.

...Alright, so maybe some things didn't change and still happened...like all the Potters dying, save for Harry who survived Voldemort and co.

Now, as he looked upon the oldest wizard and swept his eyes around the room, he knew that these people were powerless to fight against the prophecy and to stop it from being fulfilled.

The only reason why he was even able to bend some rules, was because he was the Mare Sky, the parallel(as much as he hated to admit it) Byakuran of this world-one of the power balances in their universe.

In this world, there were the TVA, the Tri-Ni-Sette, Sorcerer Supreme, and the role of being the Master of Death.

Those were- to name a few- the power balance of the universe that he was in; a power balance doesn't need to be "power" or some sort of "energy" in itself.

No, the thing that Xanxus calls as the "power balance" were roles in a way: one did not need to be raw power to be called or labeled as such.

It didn't matter if it was a person or a literal raw power: just that it was a balance, a guide, a controller, you could say.

...Or so one of the parallel Byakuran had told him. He understood what the other was trying to say, but at the same time he thinks it's the damn marshmallow addict spouting bullshit.

It was a complicated matter, so most of the time he'd rather ignore those and ponder on those things later: he did complete his duties now and then.

While his mind was busy running a mile, Squalo was yelling at the wizards and witches- especially at Dumbledore; the said old wizard looked a bit tired as he tried to placate his wife.

Lucius' Third P.O.V.~

...Things didn't go as planned.

The plan was to get rid of the diary, pin the blame on someone else and that they're using a Dark object–a.k.a., make the Weasleys suffer the consequence–while also making Harry Potter's life difficult.

Lucius Malfoy failed: he has to do something-

Lucius, who had arrived earlier than them, stood stiffly a few feet away as he stared at the scene before him.

He'd normally try to subtly insult people around him-especially Squalo who is considered a 'mudblood' in his eyes even if she had the "soul-fire" thing going on- but the deadly stare that Xanxus was eyeing him with stopped him.

He knew then and there, that this man was not to be angered- he was not someone to be messed with.

And as much as he was disgusted by the mere presence of Squalo,he also knew that she was as dangerous as her partner.

Lucius didn't survive just because he was lucky enough: he survived, because he was cunning enough, and was good at sensing and observing things.

...But how dare this insignificant being try to yell at them when she's nothing but a fake witch!

He can sense it in the way she confidently held herself, and the fact that he heard a certain rumor of her slashing a door -with a sword-of all things when Harry Potter's grandparents were still alive.

...He was not idiotic enough to confront her or any of the Varia-especially it's leader: from what he hears, they're a respectable group that became famous in the Wizarding World.

Although, why need a sword, when there is magic? That rumour was suspicious.

According to some of the witches and wizards that he knew, the Varia could achieve any task given to them, with a 100%—maybe even more than that—success rate...but mostly they're apparently similar to an Aurors' military school.

And that wasn't even everything that he had heard of...oh no, they aren't just a normal group who became the recently known "soul fire users".

They're assassins. Something that others would label as "hitwizards".

... Beings who soiled their hands with others' blood, and could apparently kill with no evidence or magic...

If he were to be honest, that dedicated to one's job and being thorough with it is quite admirable. The thought of them having powerful connections from all over tne world was even more attractive in his point of view.

Still, Lucius Malfoy was smart enough not to start a fight with them: the Varia was a dangerous group...perhaps even more so than the Dark Lord that he served.

If their blood were purer, perhaps he might have–would have switched to their side to serve them instead of the Dark Lord's.

As the elder Malfoy was pondering and arguing with himself whether he should switch sides, Harry Potter spoke up.

"Excuse me...but I'd like to say, that the only reason why these things happened was because no one believed us. We tried to tell you what was happening, no one bothered to see if it was true. Or even tried to investigate the truth as much as we had-"

Deyanira cut him off, making a sarcastic comment.

"A student managed to reach the conclusion and discover the real identity of the killer, faster than the teachers... perhaps you should sharpen your observational and investigative skills. Like, wow...imagine living in this school and being its teachers for YEARS, yet not knowing much of its secrets."

Lucius blinked, feeling a bit...attacked somehow.

"Couldn't be me. Imagine...tsk, tsk. Imagine the students knowing better about the school, than you, the teachers, who also studied here and have been teaching here for years..."

Thana piped up, sighing in mock sadness.

"Aneki!" Harry gasped, horrified at her disrespect: if it was him, it would be more subtle!

Gavrilo nodded sagely in agreement.

"Now, now, Harry. She's right, you know? Some of the teachers should have split up into three groups at least:one to investigate, the other to calm the students, and the last to take care of the security of the castle. I get that you're tired because there's a lot of students...really, I do: it's tiring to take care of those who are younger and can be incredibly annoying..."

At this, the twins gave him raised eyebrows, while Harry gaped at him in disbelief and mild offense, but he continued on.

"But you chose this path for a reason, did you not? You chose watch over us, to teach us brats-we study and learn, but you also learn and teach. It's your responsibility to see to it that you do your best to secure our safety. If you're trying to find the source of a problem or danger, do it to the best of your ability and actually think and take in the small details. Actually communicate with the students—don't treat us like we're clueless kids...not everyone is like that, and we hate being treated like toddlers. For all you know, you might gain a few interesting clues and stories about something that you've never known about Hogwarts despite how long you've taught and lived here. Communicate with us in a way that would be easy for us to understand, but at the same time, in a way that would not seem like you're treating us like clueless toddlers." Gavrilo crossed his arms, berating them.

And if Lucius didn't know any better, he'd think this child was an adult-he had the mindset of one...perhaps it was because he was raised in a family of killers?

Thana hummed.

"A bit time consuming, don't you think?"

"As time consuming it might be, you might actually be more prepared for future dangers...perhaps make it like a homework, getting to know the students kind of thing? It wouldn't hurt to be more prepared-more planning means less unpleasant outcomes. Of course, a plan under plans, back ups within back ups..." Deyanira hummed, holding her chin as she said this thoughtfully.

"Ah,are you suggesting we make a drill of sorts?" Her twin asked, to which she nodded.

"Should there be an emergency, should there be an attack, or anything of that sort, the students will be prepared for it. Once a week would do."

"...So like what the normal schools do. Disaster and drilling protocols, set in so everyone is informed and knows what to expect, in case of an emergency. Perhaps I can even draw up a rough plan about it and maybe give it to them." Gavrilo offered.

Harry groaned, putting his hands up to cover his face.

"Guys...we're in front of the professors! You're forgetting where we are!"

Regulus huffed.

"...I'm afraid they 'don't give a shit' if they're in front of the professors."

And at his voice, Lucius' eyes snapped towards him with record speed, eyes widening it recognition.

'How...he disappeared. That–he can't be who I think it is! No, maybe it is not Regulus, but instead his son? But they look so much alike, and some of the mannerisms–but he can't be Regulus:no potion or spell can turn someone that young, not even in the Dark Magic!' He mused, he continued analyzing and observing the young man.

What's more, it's impossible for the dead to come back to life!

But wait...was he always dead?

Maybe he survived? Or maybe, this really is just Regulus' son...but then again, he looks. About different too.

So how...?

Hmm...this needs some investigation.

Xanxus Third P.O.V.~

"Alright, you brats. Settle down. Squalo–"

Xanxus paused, sensing a tug on his bonds: his Mist was calling him.

Squalo noticed this, and gave him a reassuring nod.

"Go. I will end things here with Belphegor and Fran."

"Ehh, why us?"

"Ushishishi~! About time~!"

Fran and Belphegor spoke up, with the latter laughing creepily.

With a wordless nod, Xanxus patted each of his kids' head, before walking out of the Headmaster's office... sometimes, you had to focus on other things and let other events happen.

...Which was Harry Potter confronting Lucius Malfoy and helping Dobby gain his freedom.

Xanxus turned to a tucked away corner, waiting for his Mist.

"Mammon. What seems to be the problem?" He questions, crossing his arms as he leans against the wall, while keeping an eye on his son confronting Lucius Malfoy.

"...Mu.There's a problem with one of those worlds you're keeping an eye on."

Mammon sounds stressed, scowling in thought.

"...The new one that is based on the game that Belphegor and Fran used to be addicted to playing to."

Xanxus stated–he had a feeling it was that one.

"That and...that universe based on a novel that Lussuria and Levi a Than liked."

"...Ah."

Xanxus thought for a moment, wondering how he could possibly solve this.

"Is my presence required?"

"That...for now, it's alright if we do not visit yet."

"Hah...why'd I even become the Mare Sky."

Xanxus clicked his tongue irritably. In his annoyance, he accidentally kicked a pebble, and it went flying towards an unsuspecting Lucius Malfoy.

Swish, fweee-Thunk!

"..."

Harry stared in wide eyed shock at the pebble that knocked out the wizard, then slowly looked up at his Papa, before his eyes looked accusingly at him.

"..."

"..."

The silence that followed was kind of awkward.

"Papa, did you just kill him-"

"No, I did not."

"..."

"..."

Harry glances down at the body, then at his Papa: his next words gained an odd look from even Dobby...

"Should we hide his body?"

...who wondered what kind of upbringing did Harry have to think that way and talk that way.

And just as they were about to discuss what to do, his siblings came out of the Headmaster's office, freezing when they came upon the scene before them, and at Harry's words.

"..."

"Harry, did you just kill Mr. Malfoy-" Gavrilo started, before Harry denied it.

"Gav-nii, as much as I'd want to, I didn't. Papa did it."

"I didn't do it, Hadrian."

Harry stared at his Papa, bewildered.

"But...you kicked the pebble."

"I did it accidentally. I was busy talking with you Zío Mammon."

The other Varia kids surrounded Lucius' body, lighting nudging him and kicking him with the tip of their shoes.

"Oh wow- he's knocked out good, Papa." Thana whispered, giggling at the mark of the pebble on his forehead.

"Hm...I feel like if we actually get rid of him, there will be less headaches in the near future." Harry suggested, making his siblings turn to stare at him.

Deyanira clapped her hands once, before cupping her cheek in one hand.

"Oh my- a splendid idea! Although...I don't think he deserves to pass away painless. He was such a pain in the ass too! But... Hadrian, I thought you don't like violence as much as we do?"

"...I didn't like the way he looked at Mama and Papa. Also...whoever said I don't like it? I just choose which battle or situation I want to pour my violence in: I don't want to waste my energy on things that don't need my attention after all." Harry sweat dropped.

"Oh, he's lost it. Our Hadrian has been corrupted..." Gavrilo sighed, mourning his innocence.

Mammon sighed heavily as well, and pinched the bridge of their nose.

"...Leave. Mu, you're all giving me a headache. I'll handle this and wake him up and change some things in his memories before the others arrive."

"Okay~!"

They all said, before going ahead with Regulus' lead.

Xanxus shook his head with a tired chuckle, turning to speak with Mammon.

"I'll think of handling those situations that you mentioned earlier, after I'm done with everything here..."

Then he turned around, and was about to leave as well, when Mammon called out.

"Wait."

"What."

Xanxus sighed flatly.

"Perhaps this would be a great time to plan the Varia's vacation...we know that all of us need it."

"...Hmm. Tell Lussuria to start fixing our schedules. In a month, we leave."

"Mu, you better give me paid leave."

"Nice try. You suggested this, so I'm taking it out of your damn paycheck."

"...Tsk."

H.S.: Dw guys, Lucius is very much alive, since I still have plans for him!
