Recap
Last time on Swordmen of the west: Kirito was working out his frustrations of recent events as he was trying to figure out what his team was up against. They decided to join Arthur and John son Jack on a fishing trip to relax. The day was going swimmingly until a pair of Pinkerton agents shout up, Milton and Ross. They were after Dutch as they try to get Arthur to give Dutch up. What more the Pinkerton knew about Kirito group and it reveal that Death gun is working for them and this mysterious Hazardous one. Milton reveal that he killed Mac to prove his point to Arthur that their time was over. The gang return to camp to warn the others as they try to figure out what to do next.

Sheep and goats
Kirito Pov: It been a day or so since our run in with the pinkertons and Death gun. To think he would work to the law just to get at us. What more he is working for this Hazardous one. We have no idea what they are after. Either way the law might know where we are, we have t do something before it too late. 'So Death gun is working with the cops and the guy who send the Arrancars after us?" Lizbeth ask. "Appears so, it only a matter of time before they find the camp and were in trouble." I said. 'We can handle them, in case you forgot they are only human." Yuuki said. "True, but if a fight broke out here the others will get caught in the cross fire." Asana said. "Not to mention Death gun will pull every dirty trick in the book. Unlike Gun gale, he can killed us for real here." Sinon said. "There also the fact we have no idea of knowing if he stronger. For all we know this Hazardous one could have given him new powers along with those of his avatar." I said. 'How did he do that any way?" Lizbeth ask.
"Yeah, it was miss Mirei that gave us our avatars to find you." Silica said. "We don't know, what ever the case we need to be ready to deal with him when the time comes." Eugeo said. "I say we get off our buts here and do something." Yuuki said as she hop off the barrel she was sitting on. 'What you have in mind?' Asuna ask. 'Let do a job or something, I think John was working on something to do in town." Yuuki said. "Is that a good idea, we should be laying low until we come up with a solution to our pinkerton problem." Vielecmon said. "Were not going to figure it out sitting here. We might as well see what John got plan." I said. "Alright." Asuna said as we head over to the horses we saw Arthur was getting ready to leave. 'Where you heading?" I ask. "Into town, John said he wanted to meet with me." He said. "Were on ur way to see him too." Lizbeth said. "I see, very well let go see what scar face want." Arthur said as we rode out of camp. A while later we reach town as we found John near some live stock.
"So… feeling better? How's the scar?" Arthur said. "I heal pretty fast." John said. 'Glad to help." Asuna said. "Lucky you. So you just lazing about or… you got any leads?" Arthur said. "Got something. You see them?" John said as he pointed at some sheep Yui was trying to pet. "The sheep what about them?" Eugeo ask. "That train job was a start, but we need more money. "Till we can get back to Blackwater and collect." John said. "You you guys try to collect now and your as good as dead." Sinon said. "She got a point, going back now is not worth it, most of all with the law closing in on us." I said. "I'm with them on that, don't feel like swinging John." Arthur said. "I was worried you'd say that. Dutch says that we…" John said. "Dutch says a lot. Now, that's his gift… saying things. "Oh yeah? What do you mean by that?" John said. "I was the prize pony once, now I'm the workhorse. Listen Dutch is… but… but, well… you was at that thing in Blackwater. And we already seen Pinkertons here. and then there these kids and their problems. New century's coming. This life, this way? Well, we're the last, I reckon. And we ain't long for it." Arthur said.
"Things do not look well for us." Silica said. "Then that's the way it goes, I guess. let get to work Miss Sinon you have a sniper rifle right?" John ask. "Of course I don't carry this for show." Sinon said as she adjust her Hectate on her back. "Why are you being so cagey about all this? Always playing some goddamn game." Arthur said. "Yeah just tell us what going on?" Yuuki ask. "I ain't the one taking Jack on fishing trips." John said. "No, you ain't. If you say the boy ain't yours, what's the difference? You'll probably only run off again." Arthur said. "Why are you so interested in my life? Ain't you got one of your own?" John said. "Should we say something?" Silica ask. "It better to stay out of it." Asuna said. "Just do one thing or another, not be two people at once, that's all I'm saying." Arthur said. ': It ain't that simple. You know that as well as anyone. Same as with you and that girl, what was her name… Mary?" John said. "That was different" Arthur said. "Who Mary?" Lizbeth ask. "I heard from Abigail that she was this woman Arthur was involve in with." Sinon said.
"Anyway, for the love of God, will you tell me what you got me doing here before I turn around and hit the breeze?" Arthur said. 'yeah what are we doing?" I ask. "There's a herd of sheep coming down to auction from Emerald Ranch. Folk in town were saying that the owner's trying to stamp out every farm from here to Annesburg." John said. "Yeah, I know that place." Arthur said. 'Right the shady farm we heard about from Hosea." I said. "Let's head up to the ridge up there… get a proper view. This way' John said as we go our horses and rode out of town. We head to the ridge our side of town that over look the valley. "So I'm thinking, so to thanking that the herd'll make it to auction alright, but, a couple of new ranch hands'll be collecting on the sale. Doubt the town will care to notice too much." John said. 'And this is what were reduce to stealing sheep?" Syakomon said. "And I take there a reason why you need me here." Sinon said. John nod. "Reckon we shouldn't get too close, least not till we know what we're dealing with. Let's see what we can see from up here." He said.
Sinon pull our her rifle as she took aim. I got out some bioculurs to look as well. "Okay, I think that's them over there." Johns aid as we see a herd of sheep coming with a few men. "Ok now what. "Sinon take a shot near them, I reckon they'll hightail it. They're only ranch hands. Just watch the sheep." Jhn said. "Right." She said as she took aim. She fire a few shots that scare the rtanch hands as they decided to make tracks and ride off. "Their leaving." Yui said. "Alright, let's go round 'em up. Let's go get the strays." Johns aid as we rode down to the valley and started to collect the sheep. "Giggly up mutton chops move it." Lizbeth as we started to make the sheep move toward town. Pina was flying around to make sure the Sheep stay together. "So far so good." Is aid. "Let just get them o town in one piece." Arthur said as we continue to ride to Valentine. Once there we were able to herd the sheep into a pen. From there Arthur and John talk to the one in charge. "Glad that over with." Asuna said.
"Yeah, but I feel bad taking the sheep." Yui said. I pat her head. "I know Yui but it best to get use to it, were going to have to do a lot of bad things to get by here." I said not liking it either. We saw Arthur and John walking to us. "How it go?" I ask. "We'll get the money after the auction. Dutch is waiting for us at the saloon." Johns aid. "He is." Arthur said. We head to the Saloon where we see Dutch and Strauss. 'Gentlemen., ladies." Strauss said. "Dutch, Leopold." Arthur said greeting them. "Where have you been?" Dutch said. "Helping John with a job, we should get pay soon." Sinon said. "Leopold, my good friend… as long as you're here… why don't you and John go make sure… there ain't no funny business." Dutch said to the german. "Of course." Strauss said as he and John head out. We all took a seat. "Nothing like talking to old Strauss to make you… want to blow your own brains out. I should have left him where I found him all those years ago. Bookish little Austrian fresh off the boat, his eyes out on stalks." Dutch said with a chuckles.
"You mean when he not putting people into debt." Eugeo said. "Well, I guess the… Dutch van der Linde finishing school has some strange graduates." Arthur said. "That it does. To your good health." Dutch said as he raise a glass. "Thank you." Arthur said as they have a drink and bang their glasses onto the table. "Van der Linde! Get out here. Get out here now!" A voice shout. "Were we expecting someone?" Silica ask. "It sound like it came from outside." I said as we look out the window. We saw several arm men. One of them was an older man with a black suit on a horse. We move from the windows to take cover. "Ah shit this is bad." Lizbeth. "What the hell…" Dutch said not liking this like the rest of us. "Van der Linde! You don't know me… but you keep robbing me. My name is Leviticus Cornwall. " The horse rider shout. "Wait as in the guy who own the train and the oil wagon." Yuuki said. "I knew that would come back to bite us in the ass." Sinon said. "I am not a man to be messed with by the likes of you. Get out here, before I have these men killed!" Cornwall said as John and Strauss were pull out and held at gun point.
"Oh no." Silica said. worry. "What do you think?" Dutch ask. "Well, I… You start spinning a yarn and… when I think the moment's right… we'll make a move." Arthur said. "Sinon can you target the ones holding Strauss?" I ask. "I will need a better shot keep them busy while I get onto the roof." She said as she head for the stairs. Dutch walk out side to confront Cornwall men. Arthur aim as he got ready to fire. "Please, gentlemen, this is a terrible mistake. This is a case… of mistaken identity. What is worse… than admonishing a man… for the sins… of another? Who wants to be the Messiah? Not me… Nor do I want to be this "Dutch van der Linde," whomever he may be. I am Archibald Smith." Dutch said distracting them. Arthur use this to gun down two of them as causing Cornwell men to panic. Sinon use this to shoot at the ones near John and gave the tow the chance to get clear. "Liz look after the girls." I said as the rest of us burst out. "Hexagonal!" I shout as I slashes at a few of them to knock them back.
"Jamming thunder!' Vielecmon shout as he shot lighting to shock several of them. Asuna dodges one with a rifle as she use a support pillar to jump and slam her foot into him chest. "Black pearl!" Syakomon shout as she shot her pearls at the ground making a few of the gun man trip and fall onto their backs. Sinon threw down some bombs to help clear the way for us as we try to move back. Suddenly Strauss was hit in the shoulder. "Strauss is down!" John shout. "We got him." Lizbeth said as she and Silica help Strauss into a cart to cover him. "John and I will push the cart the rest of you cover us." Dutch said as they move to push the cart to use as a shield. A few of them were about to shoot at them when Yuuki drop down to whip her sword to knock them back. "Bloom in the forst Kotta aoi bara!" Eugeo shout as he brought out his Shikai. "Kotta kaze!" He shout the icy winds at the gun man freezing most to the street to cover our escape. 'If we want to go now the time!" Eugeo shout. "He right let make tracks." I said as I pick Yui and Bosamon.
We ran to our horses and got on them as we quickly rode out of town in a hurry. "We got them on our trail." Arthur shout as a few gun men were riding behind us. "I got them." Sinon said as she aim her rifle and shot at their saddle straps causing the men to fall off their horses. This got us into the clear as we rode as far as we can from the town. "We3ll that was a freaking mess." Lizbeth said. 'Yui are you ok Sweetie?" Asuna ask concern for our daughter. 'I'm fine mommy." Yui said. "That was way to close guys." I said. 'No fucking shit!?' Lizbeth shout. "To think he would shoot up a whole town just to get to us." Eugeo said. 'Well we sis sort of shot first." Syakomon said with a sweat drop. "Either way we can't stick around after that." Arthur said. 'Let go." Dutch said as we make our way v\back to camp. I hope we can get out of this mess soon.
