OK, so I'm going to be adding notes like these at the end of every arc this allows me to take a look at the reviews and any concerns that anyone was having.
First off, I will be properly proofreading Chapter 9 to fix any grammar errors and what not. I was just bored last night and didn't have my laptop. So, I used my phone. I see now that's not really optimal for producing good quality.
I decided to split the Prologue and Land of Wave Arc into two separate arcs. I always believed there should have been an arc before the first big mission, so that's what I'm doing here and for any other future fan fictions.
As for Naruto's character, I know. I feel like I half assed him really bad by basically slapping on Gaara. However, for now, I'm going to keep him on the sadistic side and slowly change him over time. His usage with Kyuubi's chakra is a mirror of Gaara's sand. This morning, I realized something neat that I can do for Naruto that really focuses on his Uzumaki heritage. That will be something for the future arcs.
I know we have Naruto as a one trick pony but that's because he doesn't really have anyone to teach him. Why not? It's because he isn't really trusted right now. It isn't because Kakashi is playing favorites or holds a grudge against him. He simply wants to focus on better preparing Madara and Sasuke. The Five Elemental Seal was just thrown in there for the sake of content and because of how high level it is, neither Sasuke or Madara will actually master it right away.
The reason Naruto's focus is kill or be killed, it's because he felt strongly betrayed by Iruka. Sure, Iruka had his own personal feelings get in the way of helping Naruto during his time at the academy, but the two of them did have some kind of bond. It caused Naruto to believe everyone was out to get him and so that's why it's kill or be killed.
An interesting concept I once read in a fan fiction was the idea of demons being bounded to their promises. I felt the idea was neat and could work really well, considering how much of a loose cannon Naruto is.
During the Land of Waves arc, I plan on having more of a personal development between the three Genin. This will also spark the rivalry between Naruto and Sasuke. But each of them will have something that draws the other person to them. What do I mean?
Naruto will have a natural resentment of Madara, due to Kyuubi's influence. This is because Madara used to control him back in the day, which to me, makes a lot of sense and what not. Naruto's connection to Sasuke, aside of Indra and Ashura, will be his amusement to see the anger and hatred Sasuke holds. In a way, Naruto will get a thrill off of the negative and darkness that has grown in Sasuke's heart and often tries to get a reaction from him.
Madara has a close connection with Sasuke for the simple fact that he resembles Izuna so much. It causes Madara to have a natural instinct to protect him. Her connection to Naruto stems from the fact that he is an Uzumaki, which were connected to the Senju clan. She plans on using Naruto for her own goals before taking the nine tails. But not to worry, she will eventually have a change of heart and slowly find herself falling in love with Naruto and wanting to protect him.
Sasuke's connection to Madara is the most basic. In this world, she is his twin sister and though they lost their clan, they have each other. His own feelings will slowly change as he goes deeper down the path of darkness and resent her for how far above she is from him. His connection to Naruto is similar to Cannon, Naruto is far above him but in this story, he sees the nine tails as a way to obtain power to use and kill Itachi.
Again, I'm working on things and really am trying to produce the best quality for these chapters. Something I will also be doing and I'll let you guys decide if this is something you are interested in.
I was thinking instead of just one fan fiction, Inwork on multiple. But instead of rushing and producing sloppy work. I was considering covering an arc in each story, move to the next one, then back to the first.
