I sometimes wish things could be different.
Izuku stared at the notebook sitting on his desk. Its contents, like the rest, are filled with information about heroes and their abilities, along with his thoughts on how they could possibly use them and improve them.
He moved to open its pages before he winced in pain. His entire right side shot up like fire. He lifted up his shirt and saw the bruises.
Nothing feels broken, but it's definitely bruised.
He looked to his left and picked up the aspirin bottle he kept there. He'd been using it so much that he just left it there for easy access.
Her attacks have been getting worse. I don't know why she's been upping her beatings, but I know that I'm paying for it.
Ever since that day when they were children at the river, their relationship shattered entirely. Katsumi's behavior had been getting worse and worse towards him for years. It started with her ignoring him, to pushes and shoves, to finally beatings.
Izuku doesn't blame her. He nearly broke her mind when he used his quirk on her. He still remembered when they went to school a day later. She avoided him and looked at him in fear. He swore he heard her whispering to herself as she would shoot him glances from her desk.
He sighed as he got up. He had school tomorrow, and he knew that staying up late won't help him get good grades. As he got into his bed and laid down for the night, only one thought was in his head.
Please let me have a normal dream.
He didn't have a normal dream.
His eyes were covered like always. A fabric over his eyes, and no matter where he looked it was always there. The whispers were there, barely noticeable. These dreams have always felt wrong to Izuku... as if something was blocking him from fully seeing his own dreams and his full potential.
Time in there is short, and he woke up.
It doesn't take long before the headache came, as they always did after the Psyker dreams. He got up and took the aspirin off his desk. He doesn't take it with water, as he has gotten used to just taking it.
He went into his bathroom and took a look in the mirror. He scratched his face before looking at his hair. He lifted up and straightened one of the curly strands on his head.
Maybe I should dye it green.
His hair was no longer the green that it used to be, but a pure white color.
Not only that…
He moved closer to the mirror and pulled down the skin under his eye. Angry red lines from lack of proper sleep are prominent, but not as prominent as his eyes were.
His eyes also have changed since he got his quirk. Now they are a deep purple and not the green they used to be.
Maybe some contacts too? But that would upset Kauri by the flower shop. She loves calling me "Amethyst-nii".
That little girl deserves the world.
After he took a shower and brushed his teeth, he went to his closet and pulled out his school uniform. As he laid it down on his bed, he noticed something on his jacket. His eyes widened ever so slightly.
Crap, is that what I think it is?
He pulled it up for a closer inspection.
It is. This isn't good.
He put his index finger through the hole in his jacket. He moved it around gently so that he didn't make it worse. He looked at the clock on his desk, the last gift from Katsumi he had ever gotten.
7:30? Crap, I barely have enough time for breakfast, let alone enough time to patch this up.
He stared at the hole before giving up. He put on his clothes and walked out into the kitchen. He looked around until he saw a note on the kitchen table.
'Izuku, Work called me in early so I made a sandwich for you, it's in the refrigerator. Love, mom.'
Love you too mom.
He walked towards the refrigerator and saw the sandwich. He took a bite and walked out the door to head to school.
Ham sandwich, huh? Well, it's no katsudon but it's close enough I guess.
What time is it now? He looked at his watch. 7:40, that's good. Kacchan shouldn't have left yet for school.
He always went to school early to avoid facing the wrath of Bakugou. Whenever it's just them alone together she will always do something to him, whether she ignored him on a normal day or beats him on a bad day. If there are people around though she won't do anything, not good for her "image".
Nothing much happened on the way to school, other than the typical villain attack (Izuku can't believe villain attacks were so common now that he considered them normal at this point.). He saw Death Arms, the rescue hero Backdraft, Kamui Woods, and even the debut of Mt. Lady.
She's certainly going for fan appeal more than anything. He thought as he walked into school. She seems rather vain, but still a good hero.
The school day went rather smoothly until the final class of the day. He'd been writing notes in his notebook about Mt. Lady throughout the day, going over her quirk and the possible applications, along with the pros and cons.
He was in the middle of writing a theory on how she manages to survive being that tall, while not burning to death due to her cooking from the inside (He refused to accept "quirk bullshit" as Katsumi would say as a reason for this, there has to be some other way) before the teacher got the class's attention.
"Since it's your final year here, it's time to seriously start thinking of your future." He said before he held up a stack of papers.
"While I would give you the handouts for your future plans…" He stopped before throwing the papers in the air. "I know you all are planning to go into the hero course!"
The whole class yelled out, while also displaying their quirks. "You all have fine quirks, but you know that using them at school is against the rules!" He says happily.
A voice stops all the yelling.
"Hey, teach!"
And there she is.
Katsumi stood up and held her arms out. "Don't lump me in the same group as them! I don't plan to stay at the bottom like all these extras!" She yelled. The class started yelling back at her. "Shut up and stay quiet like the extras you are!" She yelled back at them, quieting them for a moment.
"Oh! If I remember correctly, you plan to go to U.A don't you?" The Teacher says. This immediately quiets everyone. Bakugou turns around with a smirk while looking down her nose at everyone.
"That's right! Take a good look at the future number one! I'll surpass even All Might! I aced the mock exam! I'm the only one good enough to go!" She said with her hands on her hips.
"Oh, and so does Midoriya too."
Izuku felt a cold sweat form and his eyes widened.
Why did you say that!? She's going to kill me now!
Midoriya looked down at his lap, feeling the stars of all his classmates on him. One specific pair of red eyes burned right through him.
He heard the whispers of his classmates as they whispered amongst themselves.
"Midoriya? He barely uses his quirk, right?"
"I've never seen him use it, what's it even called again? Psyron or something like that?"
"I heard that the last time he used it, he put someone in the hospital."
That last one hit him the hardest.
Katsumi didn't say anything. She just glared at him for a few seconds before sitting down again. He knew that this won't be the end of it.
The rest of the class continued without any incidents. As soon as the bell rang for the end of class, he immediately tried to leave.
If I can get out of here and take a different route home, I should be alright.
He should already know his luck by now. As soon as he started his alternative route, he was suddenly punched from the back of his head, sending him to the ground along with the notebook that he was holding.
He immediately sat up and looked behind him and saw the person he was avoiding. He felt as if hell was on earth with the glare Katsumi gave him. It was the worst look he's ever seen from her.
"You piece of shit, Deku. You never learn, don't you? How do you think you are on the same level as me?" She yelled while marching up to him.
Izuku put out a hand in front of him while trying to crawl away from her.
"Kacchan, please! Leave me alone! It's been my dream to go there, you know that!" He yelled out to her. It was more like a loud whimper with his voice wobbling so much.
It clearly wasn't the right thing to say to her, as she suddenly ran up and kicked him on the side of his head. He fell on his side as his body went limp. She started kicking his back with all the strength she had.
"Useless Deku! You're nothing! You hear me!? You're absolutely nothing!" She screamed at him. She continued for a few more seconds before suddenly stopping.
Izuku curled up into a ball. He could feel the tears start to go down his face. As he is laid there, he could feel the glare coming from her.
"You know Deku? Why don't you take a swan dive off a roof and hope that you won't be as useless as you are in the next life?" She said and started walking away, before noticing his notebook on the ground.
She grabbed it and said "You're still making these?" and then blew it up in her hand. The sound startles Izuku, and he could feel more tears coming down his face.
She threw it to the side and left. Izuku stayed curled up for a little bit before moving. He got up and saw the state of his notebook. It's charred and burnt, but still salvageable.
He held it to his chest while thinking about what she said. Tears come to his eyes and he held the burned pages tighter.
She actually told me to kill myself… Why? She shouldn't say things like that, who knows what would happen if I actually did?
He wiped his face and started heading home, all while thinking about what Bakugou said.
I shouldn't let that get to me. I will follow my dream.
But my quirk…
Izuku doesn't use his quirk much at all anymore. Ever since he had hurt Kacchan, he feared the damage he could do if he really tried.
And not only that, I still pass out even after one use of it. Psyker still drains the energy out of me, even though I've tried through conditioning to last longer. It's like I don't have the ability to fully control it somehow. I've researched so many quirks and quirk theory along with visiting counselors to help, but so far nothing has helped. I doubt All Might has to deal with this.
He paused under a bridge. I want to be like All Might all my life. How can I do that when I can't even use my quirk without passing out? How can I be a hero that saves people with a smile if I can't save anyone?
He sighed. There isn't much I can do right now other than to hold my head high and plunge forward in the world, just like All Might!
He walked forward with renewed enthusiasm, laughing just like All Might. As he is distracted, he didn't notice the grate that suddenly popped up and the slime that crawled out of it.
He stopped, the hair on his body standing straight as his instincts told him to run. He turned slowly behind him to see the fully formed mass of slime before him.
A villain!? Here?!
Izuku, paralyzed with fear, couldn't do anything as the villain lunged toward him.
"Hmm? What's this? A medium-sized invisibility cloak? Perfect!" The Villain said, it's slime now coming down Izuku's throat and nose. Tears came to his eyes as he choked, now desperately clawing at his face in an attempt to breathe.
"Don't worry! I'll just be borrowing your body for a short time. You see, a certain someone is after me, and I don't want to go to jail. So just be a good little boy, and stop resisting me."
I can't breathe… My body has no strength now. Is this it? I don't want to die.
An idea of desperation comes to his mind.
Wait… I could use Psyker to get him to stop… but I don't know if I can control it enough to prevent him from dying… I can't… I won't...
Somebody… anybody… please help… I don't want to die…
"Don't worry young man."
The air became still.
The slime villain turned around to see the one person who he had hoped not to see.
With a stomp of his foot and a smile on his face, All Might in his giant, muscular form stood in front of them.
"For I am here!"
The slime villain sent out a hand at All Might, only for it to be swatted away with the back of his hand. As another hand was sent out, All Might crouched down and pulled back his fist.
"Texas…"
Before the slimy hand could even reach him, he punched the air in front of him.
"SMASH!"
The shockwave and the force of the air scattered all that was in front of him, sending bits and pieces of slime all around them. Izuku, who was nearly enveloped at this point, was freed from his prison. As he fell down, only one thought is on his mind.
All Might…
He went unconscious before he even hits the floor.
He floated in the void, naked and curled up in a ball. His eyes opened as stars and universes whipped past him. A unified voice spoke as Creation itself soared by him.
Ǔaer Yranmir arnra ayrin yaeilcir ǔtlre ǔaer aali ǔaer ver lirnem vamyr. Ǔaer riu hetmera he ǔaer riyr arnra ayrin yaznradalcir tehyrn cet lirnem kyrn.
The words were alien, unlike anything he had ever heard before. Madness filled his mind as everything warped and dissolved.
Ǔaer Yrnlivta he Cet ǔtlre aali tehyrn infinitas leinyrcir lirnem ayrin arla tehyrn ǔaer Eyrametern Cetarium lirnem kyrn kyrn kyrn kyrn kyrn!
He screamed into the void as all of reality melted in front of him. Left was Right, Up was down, 1 + 1 = 3, nothing meant anything and it was all false. It was all madness.
Vy lirnem bulaii leinyr aali tehyrn eaiel ǔaer aeieal he ǔaer Yeazahranarieir! Dazmua ri he Cet! Lyransarie zuoraie tehyrn bulaii cyrnaura vyaeir!
Suddenly it all stopped.
It took Izuku a moment before he realized that the Shroud was back. It brought comfort while the outside only housed madness.
He was safe again…
It is not yet your time. The shroud is once more placed upon you. Soon though, It shall be.
A hand caressed his head. He immediately felt sleepy.
Go forth, and claim your destiny.
"...oung man? Young man, are you alright? Young man!"
A hand gently slapped his face as he comes back.
"Hey! You're awake! Good! I almost thought you weren't going to wake up there!"
Izuku rubbed his eyes as he looked at the voice that was talking to him. As he realized who is before him, he gasped and shot backward.
All Might! It's All Might! Here! Before me! I can't believe it!
All Might looked at him with his trademark smile.
"Thank goodness that you are alright! Sorry about you getting caught up in all this! I usually don't make mistakes like this but I was in such high spirits about my new place that I didn't even realize that I let that villain get away!" All Might said, laughing his trademark laugh. He then pulled out a plastic bottle, filled with the slime of the villain. Two eyes were seen glaring at Izuku.
Izuku was speechless. His hero was not only in front of him but also just saved his life. He may never get another opportunity like this, so he took the chance.
"Autograph… I need an autograph…" Izuku muttered as he looked around for his notebook. As he saw finally saw and managed to grab and open it, he saw the already written down signature of All Might there, covering two pages.
Izuku stood up and bowed before All Might, all while saying "Thank You!" multiple times.
"All in a day's work, young man! Ha! Ha! Ha!" He says with a thumbs up. He then turns around. "I must be off now." He Pat's his pocket with the bottle. "I need to take this one to the police.
Izuku has stopped rapidly bowing at this point and was a little surprised and more than a little disappointed.
"So soon?" He asked quietly.
All Might glanced back at Izuku before he started to stretch. "Pro Heros are always constantly working, young man! Villainy never rests, so I won't either!"
Izuku thought to himself. But… I have so many questions for him. I won't ever have this possibility ever again probably!
Izuku took the chance, and as soon as All Might jumped away, he grabbed one of his massive legs.
As All Might is in the air, he noticed something off. Wait… am I slower?
A sudden tug at his leg answered his question.
As Izuku was hanging on for dear life, All Might spoke, barely understandable with the air going by them. "Hey, hey, hey! While I appreciate your support, this is too much! Let go young man!"
Izuku can barely speak as the wind was blowing in his face, but he managed to respond. "I… can't… I'll… fall…"
All Might then stopped trying to push him off. The young man is right, he realized. All Might grabbed the back of Izuku's collar as he looked for a place to land. He then coughed, blood leaking out of his mouth.
Oh shit, too much time has passed… I need to leave right now!
All Might then spotted a roof to land on. When he lands, the force shook the ground. He hoped that the building was empty, as it definitely would have felt like an earthquake just hit. Izuku finally let go of All Might's leg and got to his hands and knees before suddenly throwing up.
"Good grief young man! While I know I have some die-hard fans, I've never met one like you! I'm sure that if you talk to the people downstairs, they'll let you go." All Might said, looking over at the city.
Izuku spat the remaining food out of his mouth, and his entire body shook. That was terrifying… I can't believe I just did that…
"Now, I am seriously out of time. I must be off now." All Might then started walking towards the edge of the building.
"No, wait! I have a question!" Izuku yelled.
"No young man! I must go!" All Might yelled back.
Izuku reached out, the words right on his lips before an old memory popped back up.
"Mom? Can I be a hero?"
Tears came down his face, with pain and guilt unlike he had ever felt coursing throughout his body. He can't be a hero, heroes don't hurt their friends, they can control their powers. He can't, he can't do any of that.
He won't ever be a hero.
Izuku managed to ask the question he has been waiting to ask for a long time. The one question that he needs the answer to.
"Can someone with a quirk they can't control be a hero?" He yelled.
Silence.
There… finally…
Izuku didn't realize it, but tears were streaming down his face and onto the ground.
All Might stopped when he asked the question.
"A quirk that they can't control…?" He muttered. Suddenly, lightning shot throughout his body. His time has run out. He hunched over and held onto the railing at the edge. Steam started coming off of him.
Unaware of what is happening as he is looking at the ground, Izuku continues to speak.
"My quirk… I can't control it. I hurt someone very special to me when I tried to use it. I think it can even kill people and I don't have control of it when I use it… Still, I want to save people, to help people. To be there with a smile on my face and my head high, laughing."
Izuku finally looked up. "I want to be just like y…"
He didn't finish as the person now standing before him was no longer All Might. Gone was the giant, muscular form, and with it replaced by a man looking more like a skeleton than anything.
The skeleton then spoke with a tired and weary voice. "You know the people that constantly flex to make it seem like they are more muscular than they are? It's like that."
Izuku's mind was going a thousand miles per hour. Theories and questions spilled out of his mouth.
He was stopped when the man put his hand up. "I am All Might, just…" He didn't manage to finish before coughing up more blood into his hand.
He then sat down. "Now you've seen me like this, you can't tell anyone about this. No one can know." He then pulled up his shirt, revealing a big and ugly scar. "I got this from a fight five years ago. It was the toughest fight of my life, and I nearly lost it too. I lost my entire stomach, along with half of my respiratory system. The surgeries I've had have left me in this state. Nowadays, I can only work as a hero for three hours a day."
Izuku was stunned. I can't believe this… five years ago was his fight against Toxic Chainsaw… it couldn't have been him, right?
"You know a lot, young man." How did he… "You also mutter a lot too." Oh.
"It wasn't him, not even close. It was a fight that isn't known to the world. I asked for it to be kept secret. The people of the world can't know about this, about me in this state. The symbol of peace must always save people with a smile, to never be held down with fear. If villains knew I have a weakness, Japan could fall into anarchy. I know there are powerful heroes out there, but many villains only fear the symbol of peace. This shows how heavy my burden is, and the consequences if this got out in the world."
He then stood up and looked directly into Izuku's eyes. "I smile for the sake of the world, to trick the fear in my body. Pros are constantly risking their lives to save people. Due to this, I can't simply say that you can be a hero. I don't know what your quirk does, but when you said that you can't control it and that it hurts people, that says to me your quirk is very unstable. The abilities of a hero can mean life or death for them and the people around them. If they fear their own power and hesitate for even a second, everything could be lost. The fact that you said that you can't control your quirk when you use it means that a situation like that would certainly happen to you."
Izuku knew he was right, but he couldn't help the renewed tears coming down his face. This was the absolute opposite of what he wanted to hear.
He knew it was the absolute truth though.
All Might started heading to the door downstairs. "Listen, young man, if you still want to help people, you can become a police officer. While their role has been significantly reduced, they are still a vital part of the arm of justice. You wouldn't have to use your quirk more than likely. It's clear that you hesitate to use it, even to save yourself. If you did, I might not have had to fight."
He opened the door, not facing Izuku. "It's alright to dream, and while I haven't said no to you, I didn't say yes. Some dreams just don't work out, and you have to be realistic."
He left and closed the door, leaving the young man alone. As he was heading down the stairs he looked out the nearby window before remembering what he was doing before. He reached for his pocket and felt nothing there. He checked his other to only find the same thing. Don't tell me…
An explosion went off in the distance. As he looked outside, his heart dropped as he saw the mushroom cloud.
He coughed some blood before rushing down the stairs, praying he is not too late.
Izuku was startled out of his thoughts as he saw the explosion. A villain probably! I need to see what heroes are there!
He ran towards the door but then stops, remembering All Might's words.
"I can't simply say that you can be a hero."
He started heading towards the door, now walking instead of running, and started heading home.
Izuku didn't see All Might as he left the building. Izuku was flipping through his hero notebook and thinking to himself.
I don't want to give up on my dream. It's the only thing keeping me sane at this point. Without it, I don't know what will happen. How can I keep it though? The number one hero himself told me that he can't say that I can become a hero. I don't know what to do now…
Suddenly the ground shook, and another explosion went off. Izuku looked around and saw the crowd and the orange glow of the fire.
How didn't I notice that? I didn't even realize I was walking here. How much of a habit do I have that I unconsciously walk to where trouble is?
He walked over to the crowd to see what is going on. He stopped as soon as he saw the villain that is there.
It's the same villain that attacked him, the one that All Might captured.
How is it here? All Might had it in his pocket!
He then realized what happened. It must have fallen when I was holding on to him. It's my fault…
He heard someone say something that gets his attention.
"Why aren't the heroes doing anything?"
"They can't, there's a hostage! It took a junior high schooler!"
Does the villain have someone? How can they breathe? I felt like I was going to die after a few seconds!
Izuku covered his mouth and felt tears coming to his eyes. I caused this, I did this...
He shook his head and looked down. No, stop that. Don't go down that path...
But… it's my fault… it really is… even if All Might was here, he wouldn't be able to do anything. I distracted him and now he can't help. Now the heroes have to wait for someone else to help…
He looked up and sees the eyes of who is trapped. They look...
Scared...
Izuku's legs moved before he realized what he was doing.
He heard the shouts of the heroes telling him to stop, and the gasps of the crowd behind him.
Why am I doing this!? How am I going to even do anything in the first place!?
As he racked his mind for ideas, he remembers something he wrote in his notebook.
Make the opponent flinch back and use that opportunity to restrain them…
He took off his bag and threw it at the villain's eyes. His stuff flew out and hit the Slime Villain's face before a lucky container hits its eyes. It flinched back, allowing Izuku to finally see who was trapped.
"Kacchan!" He yelled as reached her. He started frantically clawing at the slime to get her out.
"Why are you fucking here?!" She yelled at him.
"I don't know!" He replied.
No, I do know.
He made his choice.
Because that's what heroes do!
He looked up and locked eyes with the slime villain. He focused for a few seconds and felt his head get heavy. He heard the same whispers as he did last time, all those years ago.
He saw the purple in the corner of his vision and heard those same words that hurt his friend all those years ago. The same friend that he was now saving with it.
"PAIN"
The villain screamed in excruciating pain as its mind is bombarded with raw psychic power. It saw horrible visions, things that will haunt it for its entire life. Horrible things that no one should ever see.
Izuku passed out like last time, falling face-first on the ground.
Izuku was scolded by the heroes after they checked to see if he and Katsumi were alright. Katsumi, on the other hand, was praised for her bravery.
As he was walking by a nearby neighborhood, Izuku thinks about what he did.
I haven't used Psyker like that ever since I hurt Kacchan all those years ago. Not only that, I did it to save her this time. I'm not sure it was worth it though…
Izuku was told shortly after he woke up that the villain seemed to be entirely unresponsive. The effects seem to be worse than what Kacchan experienced all those years ago.
I used it again to hurt someone, this time on purpose…
Izuku was pulled out of his thoughts as he hears someone call him.
"Deku!"
I wonder who that could be…
He turned around and saw Katsumi running towards him. He started walking up towards her. As she gets closer, she pulled back her fist and punched him.
Izuku fell to the ground and looked at her.
She looks…
Angry… very, very angry…
She was looking down at him with fire behind her eyes. Sparks and small explosions crackled on her palms.
"Deku…"
She moved until she was standing right before him. She looked him in the eyes.
"You used your quirk didn't you, freak?"
She then grabbed him by the collar and pulled him up.
"I am better than you… your quirk means nothing to me…"
She got right up in his face before spitting on him and throwing him down.
She walked away, leaving him there to nurse his bruised cheek.
The way she said that… was she talking to me or towards herself?
He got up and started walking again.
Not like it matters anymore. Maybe I should listen to All Might…
"I am here!" All Might yelled while sliding before Izuku.
"All Might?!" Izuku yelled back, startled. "How did you find me?"
"Ha! Ha! Ha! I just happened to be in the area when I heard your voice!" He said while posing.
I have a feeling that isn't the truth, or at least the full truth anyways…
Izuku was pulled out of his thoughts as he heard All Might laugh again. He was about to speak before suddenly transforming into his true form while also coughing up blood.
"All Might, please! Stop changing! It isn't good for you!" Izuku said in worry. All Might waved him off before speaking. "Young Man, I have come to you so I can apologize to you. I have never felt more pathetic while seeing that young woman trapped by the consequences of my mistake. I was there, in the crowd, watching you run out and risk your life to save someone. I have never felt more inspired by someone's actions than that moment."
Izuku stopped him from continuing. He looked down at the ground, tears coming to his eyes. "No All Might, it was my fault in the first place. The bottle fell when I was holding on to your leg. If none of that had happened, no one would have gotten hurt. The buildings wouldn't be damaged, and the villain would have gone to jail with their mind intact."
He looked up and stared straight into All Might's eyes. His feelings were pouring out. "You saw me hurt that villain, you saw how it ended. I put that person in a coma basically, one that they might not come back from! I broke the law in front of multiple people! In front of heroes! In front of you! I was lucky that they only scolded me and did not take me to jail instead! They should have! I could have killed that villain!" Izuku is yelling at this point. "All Might, you saw all of this! You saw that I can't control my quirk! How can I be a hero with a quirk that I can't control properly?! You know I can't! I can't be a hero!"
Izuku stopped yelling to finally breathe. His eyes were on All Might's the entire time. Not once did All Might's expression change the entire time. His face was neutral while he listened to Izuku's rant.
Finally, All Might then gently smiled and walked over to him. He put a hand on his shoulder and spoke.
"Young man, what is your name?"
It had just occurred to Izuku that he never once had told his hero his name. He was too roped up in the situation to ever think about it.
"Izuku Midoriya."
"Young Midoriya, the greatest heroes come from many different paths of life, but they all say that they started the same. They all say their legs moved on their own. That's what happened to you, isn't it?"
He put his other hand on his shoulder and looked Izuku straight in the eyes. "Izuku Midoriya, I saw you run to save someone. I saw you risk your life to help that young woman. Not only did you display heroism and bravery, but you also used your quirk to save someone. When I saw you, I realized my mistake."
He stopped before speaking again.
"Young man, you can be a hero!"
Izuku shook his head, falling to his knees as even more tears came down his face.
He said he believes that I can be a hero now… I can't even use my quirk! How can I be a hero?
All Might gave Izuku his answer.
"I deem you worthy of inheriting my power!"
Oh… that's how...
Wait, what?
