"W-w-what do you mean by "inherit your powers", All Might?" Izuku asks, looking up to him, confused as to what he means.

All Might simply pulls him up to his feet and slaps his back. "For the moment it's just a suggestion. You need to choose whether you will accept my power, Young Midoriya!"

Izuku is still confused. "You didn't say what you meant by that All Might."

All Might smiles at Izuku. "What I mean is my actual power, Young Midoriya. You see, no one other than a small group of people know what my quirk actually is. The news calls it "boost" or "superpower". When I'm asked about my quirk, I usually just dodge the question. As the symbol of peace, I've had to keep it a secret. But for you, young Midoriya, I will tell the truth."

He steps back, turns around, walks for a few feet, and raises his hands up into the air. "My quirk was passed down to me like a sacred torch! Now I choose you to inherit this power!"

Izuku thinks to himself. It's true that the nature of his quirk is hotly debated; I've taken part in those debates myself… But this? This could change the entire history of quirks! I've never heard of such a power before! Who was the first user? How did they find out that they could pass down their quirk? Why would they? How have I never heard of them, or anyone else having similar powers to All Might?

All Might just stares at the young man. He sure mutters a lot, doesn't he? At least I know he is smart…

All Might finally breaks Izuku out of his muttering spree. "This is the truth of my quirk, young man! I was crowned with "One For All"! One person cultivates the quirk and grows it, eventually passing it down to someone else who does the same! One quirk for one person, using it to help all!" He says while turning back to face Izuku.

He points at the young white-haired boy. "I have been looking for a successor ever since my injury. Seeing you in action, saving someone while pushing past their thoughts, I thought it will be good for you to inherit it. You were more heroic than anyone there, even than me! You called yourself a villain, but all I saw was a hero!"

He lets his arm drop. "In the end, the decision is all up to you. What will you do now, Young Midoriya?"

Izuku doesn't hesitate and nods. "Yes! Yes, All Might I'll do it! Please!"

All Might's smile grows even larger. "You didn't even hesitate! Just what I thought you'll say!"

He lets the smile drop, growing serious. "Young Midoriya, this will not be an easy task. It will be hard and grueling. It will test your body to its absolute limits. I will push you beyond anything you ever thought you would ever be able to do. Do you understand me?" Izuku nods.

His smile returns. "Great!" He says while clapping his hands. "In two days, meet me by Dagoba Municipal Beach Park early in the morning. It is there we shall start your training!"

He turns around and starts walking off, waving to Izuku. "Good Night, Young Midoriya! I shall see you there!"

Izuku waves back to him. "Good Night, All Might Sir! I will see you there!" He then walks home.

As Izuku enters his house, he is immediately crushed in a hug. Tears soak his jacket and subtle sniffs can be heard.

"Izuku, I called you so many times! Where were you! Are you alright? I came home as soon as I saw the news about that attack! How could you be so reckless! You could have gotten killed!" His mother, Inko, cries to him.

Tears start coming back to his eyes as he hugs her back. "I'm sorry! I was so caught up that I didn't even think about checking my phone! I couldn't just leave Kacchan like that! No one else was doing anything and she looked so scared in there!"

His mother pulls her off of his chest to look at him. She cups his cheeks before hugging him again. "Izuku, I was so worried about you. You should have called me the moment you could have! I was scared sick waiting for you to come home."

He hugs her tighter. "I'm sorry mom. I should have, It's my fault. I'm sorry for making you so worried…"

She holds on to him for a few moments before letting go. She looks up at him and he can see the tear lines on her face. Her eyes are red and puffy from crying so much. He feels his shirt cling to his chest due to her tears.

She wipes her eyes and backs away. "You've already given me so many grey hairs, Izuku. It's a wonder why my hair isn't more like yours." She says with a laugh. "Now then," She claps her hands. "Mind telling me how your day was over a plate of Katsudon?" She smiles at him.

He smiles back at her, his mind now filled with thoughts of his favorite food.

The next day as he woke up, his mother left him a note like last time. This time though, it also said that their small flower pot needed to be changed. She left him some money to make the run to the shop.

As he nears the shop, Izuku hopes to see his favorite person there. She calls herself his "Unofficial Little Sister" and calls him "Amethyst-nii". He remembers the reason why was because she had just learned the word and when she saw his eyes she asked him how he managed to get said stones in his eyes.

That little girl is so precious… I wouldn't mind having her as my actual sister… She's so cute and kind…

As he enters the shop, a ring of a bell is heard as he opens the door. It's a small, family-owned, shop that looks adorable. Decorations of flowers and the smell of dirt fill the air. When he asked who choose the decorations, he wasn't surprised to hear it was his "little sister" who made the choices.

He hears a voice at the back of the shop. "One moment, please!". He heads towards the counter and waits there for a few moments before the owner comes out. The older woman's short dark blue hair and seemingly color-changing eyes always manage to catch his attention when he sees her.

When she sees who is in her shop, her face lights up. "Oh! Midoriya! It's so good to see you!" She turns around and yells behind her. "Kauri~! Your "brother" is here!" Izuku hears the small patter of footsteps before seeing her come out the door to the backroom.

Her face lights up even brighter than the sun the moment her eyes land on his. "Amethyst-nii! Amethyst-nii!" She yells and runs past the counter. Her smile is infectious as Izuku can't help but smile at her when she hugs him. "Hello, Kauri-san!" Izuku says while rubbing her head.

She lets go and steps back. She stomps her foot and gives the cutest little pout. "Amethyst-nii! I've told you to just call me Kauri! I'm your little sister!"

Izuku looks at her mother behind the counter for help. She just smiles at him and shrugs. He decides to give in to the demands of his "little sister" and goes with it. "Alright then, Kauri."

Her face lights up even brighter than before. She then hugs again, but tighter.

Yep… don't think anyone could resist her...

Izuku smiles at the blue bundle on his stomach. He turns back to the counter to speak. "Hello, Akira-san!"

She smiles warmly at him. "It's always a good day for Kauri when you come. The stories that you tell her always seem to make her day. Now, what can I do for my daughter's "older brother"?"

He blushes at her smile. "M-My mother sent me to get a new flower pot. The one we have now needs to be changed."

She brightens up. "We actually just got a shipment of those just now! I was taking them out when you entered. Tell you what, I give you a discount if you help me unpack the rest…"

Izuku immediately brightens up at the word "discount". His mother is always low on money, and Izuku does everything to try and help. He would get his own job if he was old enough.

"Sure! I'll help!" He says while nodding. He looks down at his "little sister" who then looks up at him. "Kauri, won't you help your brother?"

She didn't need any more convincing and the three of them go into the back to unpack. Once they are all done, Izuku comes out holding hands with Kauri while she holds on to a flower pot with her free hand.

"Midoriya, can you tell me a new story? Please tell me a new story!" She says while jumping up and down once they reach the register. She looks at her mother. "Please?"

She looks down at Kauri. "It's Izuku's choice if he wants to. However…" She looks at the flower pot that Kauri had now just put on the counter and then looks at Izuku. "If you tell her a story, I'll give it to you for free~..."

Izuku didn't hesitate to bring Kauri to a corner of the shop and sit down with her and tell her a new story.

"...and then with the defeat of the great army, the King's land in the stars was now forever safe." Kauri looks at Izuku with wonder in her eyes as he finished his story about the White-haired King who lead his army to defeat the evil that threatened his land in the sky. She claps as he finishes. "Alright Kauri, that's enough for now. Maybe when I come back I can tell you another one." He looks out a nearby clock. He had been telling her a story for an hour at this point. She jumps up and smiles at him. "Thank you, Amethyst-nii!" She says and then runs off to somewhere.

He heads back up to the counter to pick up his flowerpot. Her mother is still there. "You know, she remembers every story you have ever told her. She even writes them down so that she won't ever forget them. You and your stories mean so much to her."

He smiles at her. "I like telling her my stories. She's the only one who I tell them too also. I love having someone to tell them to!" He grabs the pot and then heads home. Before he exits, he waves at her. She waves back at him. "Thank you! Come again!" Izuku hears before leaving.

She and her daughter are some of the kindest people to me apart from my mother and now All Might. I don't know what I would do if something would happen to them…

As the day goes by and it turns into the next day, Izuku has only one thought in his head.

Whyyyyy…

He is currently trying to pull a refrigerator with All Might on it, and is utterly failing at his new task.

I knew he said that it would be hard, but this is too much! I can't even lift my own weight, let alone do this!

Izuku collapses in the sand, panting heavily. He turns around to look at the giant sitting on the refrigerator. "Why… do you… have to... sit on it…?"

All Might bellows out a laugh. "This is to show you what I can easily do when I'm in this form! I could do ten of these without breaking a sweat! At the end of this training, You should be able to pull at least one of these!"

Izuku pushes himself up and looks around. "Anyways, why are we training specifically here? Why not a gym?"

All Might gently jumps off the refrigerator and walks to Izuku. He holds out his hand to pull him up. "It's because we are killing two birds with one stone!" He says while pulling Izuku up. He allows Izuku to dust himself off before continuing. "Right now, your body wouldn't be able to take my quirk without your limbs exploding off! Also, look around you!" He gestures to the piles of trash surrounding them. "The trash here has been growing for years and yet nobody has done anything about it! In the old days, being a hero meant doing a service to your community! People have forgotten that small things can be called heroism! This is the first step on your path towards being a hero!"

He walks over to the refrigerator that Izuku was pulling and lifts it over his head and crushes it. "The U.A entrance exam will happen in ten months! By that time, I want you to have cleaned this entire beach!"

"The entire beach?! I doubt that I could do a single pile in that span!" Izuku is nervous now. He knows that he has always been on the weak side, so to him, it seems nearly impossible.

All Might laughs. "That is why I've come up with this perfect training regimen!" He pulls out a binder. "I call it "Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan"! With this, I guarrentee that you will have this beach cleaned by the time the exam comes! If you follow this exactly, of course!"

He hands it to Izuku who then looks through it. It even has a sleeping schedule!

All Might comes up to Izuku and bends over to whisper to him. "To be honest, this is a super hard schedule that most would give up on. Do you think you can do it?"

Izuku thinks before nodding. "I already knew that this would be hard. I didn't come here to just give up."

All Might bellows out a laugh before slapping him on the back, nearly sending him to the ground.

Thus, began what Izuku thought was going to be hell. It would only be in three months that Izuku would actually find out what hell actually was.
