"Libera Tutemet Ex Infernis!"
Event Horizon
He looked upon the vast ruins of the desolate city on top of the hill. He had watched from afar as millions had died as their bodies broke down and melted as the gas bombs were dropped from the sky.
These people died, all because of his arrogance. He could have prevented this. He could have stopped this before it had ever happened. Now it's a city of ghosts who haunt its broken and contaminated buildings. If he could have just… ended it right then and there, all of this could have been so different.
He didn't though; nearly 1.5 billion have paid the price so far. He used their bones for the throne of his narcissism. His choice to save his "honor"; and to not "steep" as low as they did caused this massacre.
No more.
He knelt on the ground, the wind screamed like a banshee, and the stench of death and decay filled his nose. He grabbed a patch of dirt from the ground and held it in his hand. This ground will stay with him until it is all over. It will serve as a reminder of his mistake and his new promise to the world that he has sworn to protect. He placed the dirt into one of the many bags he now kept on his person.
He stood up tall and brushed his hand on his ruined costume. His "hero" costume was virtually gone, the tide of war ripping and tearing it apart as he moved throughout the world. He never tries to repair it, seeing it as the world reminding him of how far from a hero he is now. Instead, he now fully changed whatever was ruined. Virtually none of his original suit remained, except for his gloves, boots, and helmet. Every piece he changed was like torture; like a piece of his soul being removed. It was a fitting punishment though, as he deserved more than that.
As he looked at the setting sun, He placed the helmet he had taken off earlier back on his head, the sound of a hiss signifying the airtight seal needed to travel around most of the world. As the sun hid its face behind the horizon, the sound of a siren reached his ears.
The night has arrived, and with it, the horrors of war and the mistakes of mankind.
Tendrils of black whip around his body, carrying and lifting him like arms and legs. He moves swiftly as ruins of a former city seemingly crumble around him, creaking and screeching.
The wind whipped past him as he moved. It burned and scratched every piece of exposed skin left in the wake of his previous battle. Izuku can't help but think of all the people he has lost in the war; Of all the innocent people and the Heroes he called friends.
So many people are dead. So many have turned into monsters from the mad scientist's virus bombing. He watched as their skin melted off, as they vomited up their stomachs and coughed up their lungs. He watched how many didn't get the mercy of dying and turned into Night Reapers.
Richard the Lionheart, and the rest of his unit, as they stayed to give him time.
The fallen Samurai, who had given their life to protect Kyoto and Niigata all in the name of their dream.
So, so many more. He can't even name all the dead. It has to end. It has to.
He can't stand living with more dead anymore.
As he got past the Radio tower, his Danger Sense roared to life. It screamed and clawed at his head harder than ever before.
He let his will flow through his body, acting as a shield to protect him. He knows what is coming.
And he was fully prepared to die here if he must.
Izuku watched as the airship blew up and fell to the ground. There was nothing he could do but watch.
A scabby hand forced his face to watch, a single pinky not touching his face. It was rough and calloused, scraping against his scars and scabs.
"Do you see, hero? This is the fate of the world." The man kneeled at Izuku's level as he was on his knees. His voice was itchy and raspy. "My master's will cannot be denied anymore. We will raze all the armies in the world, and massacre every city and settlement. Our monsters will grow more numerous as yours dwindle."
Izuku tried to turn to face him, but the man's hand held firm against his face. "You will die here as you watch your fellow heroes burn. There is nothing left for you to protect, no one left for you to save." The pinky inched toward his face.
"You're nothing."
Images flowed past him. They ran and dashed like a raging river, falling past him like a waterfall. Stars burned bright and exploded with incomprehensible passion and power. He was nowhere and everywhere all at the same time.
The past and future converged and ripped apart as thousands of destinies were created and torn apart all at the same time. Everything and anything happened before his eyes.
He saw the beginning and the end of his universe, he saw war and death, peace and life. He experienced joy and sorrow, anger and happiness. He was everything and everyone all at once.
His mind burned and bubbled in his head, unable to comprehend the entirety of existence all at once. He was every atom, every quark, every piece of existence all at once.
WHAT WAS ONCE SHALL BE FOREVERMORE, ALL OF ETERNITY, AND INFINITY SHALL BE YOURS.
Until it suddenly stopped and Izuku was sitting under a tree.
Everything was calm.
He felt food come up his throat and managed to turn to his side just in time to prevent it from covering his body.
He on the other hand was not calm.
He spit up the last bits of food before a voice spoke to him.
"I apologize for what you just experienced. The divine cannot be comprehended by those with the gift of mortality." A voice like the most beautiful song, more perfect than anything ever before graced his ears.
Izuku turned and saw a hooded figure above standing just outside the shade of the tree. White robes covered the figure from head to toe. Rolling hills and fluffy clouds lazed above them as a gentle wind blew through. He took his eyes off the figure and took in the view around him.
Everything felt perfect.
What is this place?
"This is the peace, the ending, and the beginning. Through my father's will, I dragged you back into Creation. Your time is not yet, young Midoriya. You have a bigger destiny than you know, than you will ever know." He spoke softly. He never turned towards him once while speaking.
Izuku's head hurt for a moment. He didn't understand a thing. "What happened to me?" Izuku replied.
A slight turn of his head signified his acknowledgment. "Your power, you used it and ripped a hole into the shroud that protected your mind."
Izuku remembered the beach, he also remembered who he called out to before he fell. "Are you the same person I met before? You seem different."
"I am not him. Tylion was a young man whom I watched in vain. He is different from who you shall face in the future. He wishes to repent for his crimes that he has not yet committed at this point." He looked back forward. "You can trust him."
Izuku's hands suddenly crackled purple and glowed. He feels a rush of power and ecstasy before crashing. A whoosh of wind and the figure was kneeling beside him.
"You must be careful. Your power is something that the Yeazahranarieir wish to claim for themselves. One already has wormed itself into your head and spirit. An accident left by the White-Haired King." He put his hands over Izuku's and closed both of them into fists. "They will haunt you for the rest of your life. You must be brave and strong, like the heroes you look up to. You will fight a bigger fight than any being will ever know." Suddenly the figure was back to where he was, standing before him.
Izuku opened and closed his hands. He then looked back up to the figure. "What is going on? I don't understand. I was using my quirk and then those voices…" Izuku trailed off as he remembered the fear in Kendo's eyes.
"Your power is too dangerous for you to handle so simply. The influence of the Shrouded Void corrupts those who use its power in its current state. You ripped your soul from your body by mistake and threw it beyond creation itself. Such is your power even in your weak state."
"But those voices… What were they? I know I would hear whispers whenever I would use my quirk, but they yelled and screamed it felt like."
The figure turned up to face the sky. "They are corruption made manifest from the souls who had died. One of the Yeazahranarieir has lodged itself into your soul, drawn to your power as it was cast away by the White-Haired King as he led the Nameless into battle." He turned his head slightly toward Izuku. "I know you do not understand. You will in the future. You are special, Izuku Midoriya."
Izuku didn't understand, that was correct. He didn't understand anything. Is this all a dream? Is he in a coma? A hallucination? This doesn't make any sense to him.
What is going on?
"Izuku Midoriya." Izuku straightened up as he said his name. "Your part to play, in this grand story, has just begun. You will know fear, happiness, sadness, anger, all of it as you go through this journey. You will experience war and death. You will know joy and sorrow. There is much for you to learn about your power, and what you can achieve with it."
Izuku processed everything he just heard. It doesn't make sense but… he feels calm about what is to come.
"It is time for you to go now, Izuku Midoriya. Tylion will teach you how to use your power. But beware of those who offer their knowledge freely. To allow the Yeazahranari in you to corrupt your soul will be the end of everything."
He pulled his hood back.
"You will not remember this. It is for your protection. You will learn everything again though. Be well, young man."
He turned towards Izuku.
THE FACE OF ETERNI-
Kendo held on to her friend's unconscious body. She was shaking and crying.
She was afraid.
"Izuku! Izuku wake up, please! You're scaring me, please wake up!" She cried out and slapped his face a few times.
The old man behind her might know what's going on. She looked at him. "What's going on with him?! What's happening!? Do you know what's going on?! Please tell me, I want to help him!
The old man is just as confused as she was but he had to stay calm. "I don't know, I've never even seen young Midoriya use his quirk before. If this is what happens if he uses it, no wonder he never uses it."
Kendo felt more tears run down her face. She just wanted to see him use his quirk, That's all! She didn't know that this would happen, if she did she would have never asked him to do it.
It's all her fault. She caused this. She hurt Izuku, her friend.
"I did this… I asked him, no, forced him to show me his quirk. I…" Kendo couldn't continue. If only…
She doesn't even know if he will wake up. He could be in a coma! They should take him to a hospi-.
Izuku's eyes shot open. Dried blood flakes stuck to his eyelashes and bloodshot eyes stared up in the sky.
"Izuku?! Izuku are you alright?! Can you hear me?!" She shook him as she yelled at him. He just stared forward.
His lips parted as a word slipped past them in a whisper.
"Tylion."
Izuku awoke in a land of rusted red dirt. Multicolor jagged rocks stood tall and resolute and mountain tops far in the distance with white snow surrounded him.
He pulled himself up to his feet and dusted off his clothes. He realized then that he was no longer in the same clothes as…
The beach.
Izuku suddenly remembered what happened, as if the memory had suddenly shot through his brain. The voices, Kendo crying, even Gran Torino was there! He doubled over in pain as his head pounded and pounded as if something was trying to smash its way out.
It stopped as fast as it arrived. He felt a cold sweat coming down his face and his body, dripping down into the red dirt. He rubbed his hands against his face and brought himself back up to look around better.
It is a different place than before. Now some mountains shone beautifully beyond anything he had ever seen. More importantly, where was the man he was to meet? He doesn't even know his name.
"My name is Tylion. I should have mentioned that before. I apologize for the mistake, young Midoriya."
Izuku turned around and saw the man sitting on the ground. He wore the same clothes as he did, but purple instead of white. Beautiful designs adorned both of their clothes, lines waved and weaved, ran up and down, left to right. Inlaid with gold and silver, they almost seemed to move around if you looked hard enough.
"Uhhhhh…" Izuku's mind became blank as he was startled. "I uh, you told me to uh…"
Tylion held his hand up to stop him and smiled gently at him. "Do not worry. I know why you come. You attempted to use your power fully before it was ready. I remember telling you to not be afraid to use your abilities but also warning you to avoid straining yourself. With your actions, you have fully destroyed the shroud that was placed on your mind. This is a very dangerous time for you now." The man stood up. "Walk with me, young man." The man- Tylion, gestured for him to follow him.
They started to walk together and he continued with his lecture. "The power it shall grant you shall be great, but the dangers are now even greater. Even now I can feel Ghûls clawing to be let in. They are drawn to your power, like a moth to a light. I have never seen such a beacon like yours. This can be coped with though, with mental fortitude and training. You can fight against them and even prevent them from hounding you in the first place; that involves training for years though and I don't wish for you to linger for that long. So, instead, I shall teach you the basics of your abilities, the abilities of a Psion."
"Psion?" Izuku asked as the man walked in the direction of the pillars. "What's Psion? My quirk is called Psyker."
"If that's what you wish to call yourself, that is fine. My people call it Psionics, and its wielders Psions. Back in the days before our great awakening, there were tales of people who had magic. Imagine our surprise when people started showing abilities that seemingly defied all natural laws. As a Psion, you have the ability to invade your fellow's minds, lift objects with a thought, and augment your physical abilities to even greater levels along with a whole host of other "magical" abilities. To use these abilities, one must first start with the basics." He stopped before one of the larger pillars and pointed at it.
"I want you to lift this with your mind."
"What?!" Izuku can't help but exclaim. While he knows that he can, the last time he did…
'It led to me being here, with Kendo crying and me nearly dying.'
Izuku doesn't like the idea of nearly dying again. Especially in an alien world.
Where were they even exactly?
Izuku realized he'd been mumbling and rambling but Tylion didn't interrupt him.
"You're safe here with me. I am here to prevent any accidents. It won't do anyone good for you to die here. Now, try lifting the pillar."
Izuku still wasn't sure about it, and Tylion noticed.
"Izuku." He said sweetly and gently. He placed his hand on his right shoulder "You're safe here. As long as I am here, none may harm you. I am your cushion, your net. You have nothing to fear. It is here we shall hone and grind your abilities to polish." Tylion walked back to his position a few feet behind.
Izuku nodded his head and looked at the pillar. It shone with gleaming crystals and sparkling gems, unlike anything he had ever gazed upon. It had perfect natural imperfections, a contradiction of the words themselves. It was so beautiful.
Izuku shook his head and focused back on his task. He honestly didn't know where to start. Thinking of all the times he had used his quirk, they were all so different. Pride, excitement, fear, and anger; were all emotions that he had used to bring up his quirk. To use his quirk, does he need to bring up those all as well?
"Izuku, would you like some help?"
He turned around. Izuku was silent for a moment.
"I do." Izuku responded.
Tylion walked up to him. "The act itself may be complicated at first. It can be confusing and scary to those who were not born with the abilities in the beginning. What you need to do is feel it with your mind, spread your will around it, and lift it. It can be like trying to use an arm that you don't see or have, or similarly to trying to look with the eyes on the back of your head that you don't have. Your body doesn't understand what you're trying to do but once you learn that those invisible arms and eyes are there but never used, you'll understand."
Tylion stared at the pillar. "Observe me first."
The air around them changed. It felt thick with power that seeped from the being next to Izuku. It charged and swirled with energy.
"Surround your Will around the pillar. Imagine invisible arms slowly lifting the object of your choice. Then, simply lift."
As he said the last word, the pillar lifted from the ground. It hovered and energy seeped from it. It cast a mirage around it, warping and twirling the light, like heat on a hot day.
Suddenly the energy burst from the pillar, casting out arcs of purple power and dropping to the ground. It threw up a dust cloud from the impact. Izuku backed up and covered his eyes with his hands. Tylion turned to Izuku and gestured at the pillar once more. "It is now your turn. It won't be hard after you try and try. Think of the act as if exercising a muscle. You will be tired, you will be sore. You will be okay."
Izuku nodded and straightened his back and stared at the pillar. He imagined in his mind's eye of arms that slowly crept on the pillar. He imagined the feel of it, the rough stone, and the smooth texture of the gems and crystals. He imagined the thought of lifting it off the ground.
The air changed. His vision turned slightly purple and silence reigned in his mind. He pushed his will through the Material world and with one giant push, he lifted.
The pillar shook and grumbled. Slowly but surely it gently lifted and hovered off the ground.
Izuku stared at his achievement. Nothing whispered to him, he felt no pain, no fear, nothing like before. His wide purple eyes shook with excitement and amazement. A wide smile came on his face as swirling power blew his hair around. He let out an exhale and a laugh at the same time. He couldn't believe his own eyes. An act that would have destroyed him as it nearly did what felt only moments ago, he did without batting an eye.
Izuku released his hold on the pillar and with an explosion of power that was bigger than before, it landed on the ground.
Izuku couldn't help the laugh that came from his lips. He had done what he thought was impossible. He isn't dead, he didn't pass out, and there isn't any blood coming from anywhere. He feels great! Hell, he feels fantastic, like he could take on the entire world! Izuku stared at the pillar again and forced his will on it once more, fascinated and excited as it lifted once more and it dropped down with an explosion of power. He was like a child who had discovered an amazing toy.
Again and again, he lifted and watched it drop, more and more did he feel the ecstasy flow through his veins. In one last attempt, he lifted it and then did something more.
He threw it into the distance.
The explosion of power was unlike anything before. A shockwave came back at him and it launched into the air. He watched it roll and tumble in the air, it twirled with energy the left trails on it as it flew through the sky. Izuku's smile was even wider, his face starting to hurt as it stretched the limits of his head.
He felt limitless power inside of him, just waiting to be released. Everything was at his fingertips, he knew! The world, the universe was at his command!
The power inside of you is something that even the gods would kill for, Izuku!
It was, and it was all his!
Use it for yourself! Let it flow through you! Take control of it!
I will!
It is your weapon, my spear, and my power! Give it to me!
Wait.
Hate shall be your sword, hatred for everything! Give in! Let me out!
Izuku looked down at his hands. They were black and his veins glowed red. Cracks formed in his skin as if they were burned.
Release me!
Release me!
RELEASE ME!
Izuku was shot back into the world. He fell onto his hands and knees as everything suddenly hit him. Everything was sore. His head pounded as if something was trying to smash its way out. Izuku felt bile rise in his throat and he threw up.
Tylion looked on with no emotion.
"Midoriya," Tylion stated stoically. "Never let that feeling take control of you. It has been the ruin of many people who have gotten addicted to its feelings."
He walked up to Izuku and forcefully pulled him up. "You heard something, didn't you? I know not of whom spoke to you, but never trust it. Ever. Ghûls will only corrupt your soul. Never, never, let one assume direct control. They will offer anything to control you. You must resist. Even if the people will die, you cannot let it take any part of you."
Izuku spit out the remaining bile in his mouth on the ground.
"I've never felt anything like that… Is that something I need to be constantly looking out for? What happened?"
Tylion handed Izuku a small piece of cloth to wipe his mouth. "Ghûls are creatures that inhabit the Shrouded Void. In the past, some were guiding, kind and virtuous. Now they are all malevolent. Remember I mentioned that I can feel them trying to invade our space even now? It shouldn't be possible for one to come through without me at least knowing of it. This means one thing. Izuku, there is a Ghûl or maybe even Ghûls inside of your mind. Have you had a dream of monsters? Nightmares? They come into the minds of people who aren't even a Psion. They are the terror that you don't remember in the morning. This is something we must figure out as soon as possible. It is possible to exorcise such a monster from your mind but it all depends on you. You must fight it yourself."
Izuku handed back the cloth back to Tylion. "How do I fight it? Do I need to be worried? Can it corrupt me right now?" Izuku listed off all his concerns.
Tylion rubbed his hand on Izuku's back and reassured him. "That is a discussion for another time. They might hound you for a time, but that's all it can do. You don't have to worry about constantly bothering you. At most, they should only come to you in dreams. They don't have the power to manipulate the physical world."
Izuku felt relieved. So he shouldn't have to worry about it much then. That's good.
So why does he feel like that this isn't the case?
Izuku slightly shook his head to focus back on the world. Worrying about it won't do him any favors.
"Now though, I was going to teach the next step of your power, which is to throw. I don't need to anymore since you did it all by yourself."
Izuku swears he heard a small tint of pride in the man's voice.
Maybe he is going insane.
"But, I still have one more thing to teach you for today." Tylion stated. Izuku never noticed that Tylion had his hands behind his back most of the time, but as he brought them out he figured that he was gonna need his hands for this final lesson.
"Remember I said to imagine arms? Using your hands allows you to focus your Will much more efficiently. Observe me." Tylion stretched his arms above him and got into position. The air changed once more, but much less than before. Izuku saw wisps of energy coalesce at his hands. He turned towards a nearby pillar and thrust out his hands at it. Like before it lifted from the ground but much faster and more stable. "With your hands Izuku, You can control objects much more finely." Tylion then closed his hands into fists.
The pillar exploded from the pressure exerted on it. "You see? With your hands, you can crush and destroy." He then opened his hands and lifted them.
The rocks, crystals, and gems lifted before him. They all floated in front of them. "You can command more than a single object. You can do this without your hands as a focus, but it can cause massive strain at the moment and then backlash later on." He then flicked his hands out forward and they all shot at lightning-fast speeds. Just as soon as they took off, he tilted his hands upwards and they stopped immediately. "You can stop any object in movement. Just as I did. The faster and larger the object, the more strain it will cause you. You can train yourself to take on faster and heavier objects as time goes on."
Tylion then released his hands and everything fell to the ground. There was no explosion of power except for a slight change in the air signifying that he let go of his Will.
"It is your turn now. Focus your Will into your hands and reality can be like clay to you."
Izuku nodded his head and faced towards a pillar. He replicated the same stance as his teacher. Imagine instead of arms, think of the energy as an extension of your body. Izuku jumped at the intrusion of his thoughts. He turned towards Tylion who then put a hand up before him. I did mention that we could telepathically talk right? I swear I did. He scratched his head in thought before shrugging. Either way, the process is similar to before. Imagine our minds are connected.
Izuku closed his eyes and thought of a string of power that connected their minds. It felt odd, foreign, alien. He started to feel unknown emotions and memories that weren't his until it felt like a door was suddenly shut in front of his face. Izuku opened his eyes to see the disappointed face of Tylion. Please do not snoop around the minds of others. It is considered to be one of the rudest things to my people and I don't doubt that even your people would take kindly to anyone walking through their mind, especially if they cannot counter your probe as I did.
I apologize. Izuku sent his thoughts through the connection he now shared with his Teacher. I didn't know, if it means anything to you, it felt like it was a door that was drawing me in.
That was my fault. A thought came into his mind, of the same voice of Tylion. I was not prepared for your probe. I allowed my mind to be exposed. Tylion then tapped his head and nodded slightly in his direction. Be careful of doing this. I will train you more in the mind arts later, but if you are not cautious you can potentially open your mind to every creature around you. It will hurt and be confusing as you are not trained to deal with multiple minds at once. Anyway, continue with your attempt if you will.
Izuku nodded and was then filled with reassurance through their connection.
The young Psion then faced the pillar once more. He readied himself and then let his will flow from him. He imagined his power leaving his hands and onto the giant pillar before him, as extensions of his physical Will. He then lifted his hands slightly up and the pillar followed his command. Then he imagined his will exerting itself onto the pillar, crushing it. He closed his fists and the pillar cracked and shattered, falling to the ground. He saw in his mind his power now grabbing the remains of the pillar and he opened his hand and lifted.
The rubble rose at his command and floated before him. They stood still in the air. Izuku then pushed his will and flicked his hands forward and then the pillar's remains shot with them. They only moved a few feet before he turned his hands up and they stopped right in their tracks. Izuku released his will from the world and everything fell. Izuku didn't realize he was breathing heavily and sweat was coming down his face and falling onto the ground. He rubbed his sleeve against his forehead to clear the sweat from coming down into his eyes.
He heard clapping and turned towards his teacher. Well done, young Midoriya. You've exceeded my expectations for your lesson by lightyears. Izuku felt pride and a sense of accomplishment come into his mind. That is all I can teach you for today. Any more and you would start to hurt yourself. I want you to constantly practice what I have taught you today. Do it every day and remember to never strain yourself in the process.
When will I see you again, teacher? Izuku sent his thoughts back. Soon. The time for you to learn more will come more quickly than you expect. But for now, I want you to remember this; Be careful. Enemies exist in the shadows and will reveal themselves to you. Your world is undergoing changes that will create history. Stand strong and be a hero, but don't be afraid to admit that you're at your limit. Pushing yourself will only cause problems. Only a fool will break his arms to save a person only to render himself unable to act. Izuku feels like that is directed towards him for some reason. The man bowed before Izuku and Izuku replied in kind. Thank you, Tylion. I will not let you down! He smiled at Izuku. You better not, young man. A sense of playfulness came into Izuku's mind. Suddenly Tylion was standing right before him as if he teleported. Goodbye. I look forward to seeing how you make your story.
Tylion placed his hand on his head and the world black.
"-zuku? Izuku! Izuku can you hear me? Please talk to me, you're scaring me!" A familiar voice reached his ears.
"Midoriya Izuku if you don't respond right now, I'll kick your ass so hard you'll be picking out my boot from your teeth for the rest of your life." And the moment was ruined the moment he heard Gran Torino yell into his left ear. Izuku came back into the world staring at the sky on a beach. He shook his head to rid of the remaining deliriousness that was stuck in his head.
"Gran… Torino? What are you doing here?" Izuku questioned as he turned towards his rough teacher.
Oh wait, He was meant to train with him today, wasn't he? That's why. He mentally slapped himself.
"Izuku? Are you okay now?" He heard gently from Kendo, who had him in her arms. Her eyes were puffy from crying and she had mucus coming from her nose.
"Uh, yeah. I am now. I'm much better now." He suddenly got up and walked over to the ocean to wash off the dried blood on his face.
I'm such a piece of shit! Izuku thought to himself. I can't believe it! What does she think of me now? She has to hate me at this point. I hurt myself and -. Izuku was jostled from his thoughts somebody suddenly hugged him from behind. "Izuku you scared me so badly. I'm so sorry! I didn't know about this! If I knew that this was gonna happen I would have never forced you to show me your quirk. I'm so sorry. Please don't hate me, I'm so sorry!" Izuku felt fresh tears come down his back.
She doesn't hate me then?
She was scared? For me?
I-
Izuku turned around and hugged her. "You didn't force me to do anything. I knew what was going to happen. It's my fault." He reassured his friend. The memory of sharing feelings between him and his Teacher came to him. Izuku gently formed a probe and sent it into her mind, sending feelings of safety and reassurance to calm her.
"No it's mine, Izuku. I was the one who wanted to go to your secret spot and see your quirk. I thought you were looking down on me, never using against me or even talking about it. I'm so sorry." She gently cried back. She sniffled a little bit.
"It's okay now, Kendo. I'm serious, everything is fine." Izuku then looked up and saw his mentor looking back at him with a disappointed expression.
Izuku looked back at Kendo. "Let me show you. I'm fine now." They both let go of each other and stood up.
With the blood washed off his face, he looked no different than earlier. His eyes looked healthy and everything else seemed okay.
Izuku left her side and walked towards the car he tried to lift.
Kendo's eyes widened as she realized what he was gonna do. "Izuku, don't! Stop it!" She rushed towards him.
He lifted his arm and remembered what he was taught.
Let your will flow through you.
Kendo grabbed onto him. "You don't have to prove anything! Stop Izuku, Sto-" She felt the air change around her and looked toward the car.
There, it floated in the air. Defying all natural laws, it hovered in the air, swaying slightly from side to side. Kendo couldn't believe her eyes.
Izuku is using his quirk.
She turned and looked back at Izuku who had a face of concentration, not of madness or ecstasy, but of silent diligence. She watched his face for a moment before looking at his hand. She watched as he closed his fist and heard the sound of crunching metal. The car was destroyed and crushed into a ball before her eyes.
He did it… He did it!
A smile lit up on her face. Izuku flicked his wrist and she watched the ball of crushed metal rush forward before stopping suddenly as Izuku turned his hand up. Izuku let his hand fall to his side and the crushed-up ball of metal fell as if nothing held it up anymore.
She grabbed him and hugged him. She didn't see the look of amazement on his face but she did see the look on Gran Torino's face behind him.
She moved out of the way just in time for Izuku to be knocked down into the sand from a particularly hard kick to the back from Gran Torino.
"Great job, kid. Now your training is gonna be extra hard from now on since your quirk has decided it was to play ball, and for making a girl cry.
Izuku pulled his face from the sand and shook it out of his face and hair. He turned around to look back at his mentor and his friend.
Izuku couldn't help but let a smile grace his face as he felt like his life had taken a turn for the better for once.
It's a new day for me, and I'm glad to have these people around to see it. Izuku thought before getting up and walking towards his mentor.
Yeah.
Today is a good day.
In a bunker hidden from the world, A group of representatives of some of the oldest and most influential families in Japan met to speak.
The one thing they had in common?
They were all old Samurai families who were a part of the DRS, the Daimyo Restoration Society.
"Does Fushigi think we can pull off this?" A man with big teeth and spines jutting out from his body spoke. "What's to stop the United States, or any other country, from involving themselves in this conflict?"
"Nothing." Another man spoke. This one had a ring of flowers covering his head. He kept on petting a lily as if it were a pet. "The world can always get involved, but why would they? They will more than likely consider a Japanese affair and won't get their hands dirtied unless necessary."
"Then our war will begin?" A man who shimmered as if light warped around his figure. "If this goes wrong, then what then? What will happen if we fa-" The man didn't finish as the door to the room was opened. Oda Fushigi stepped into the room and everyone stood on their feet and bowed.
"Hail, Shogun." Everyone said.
"Hail." He replied. He motioned for everyone to take a seat.
He walked over to the head of the table that they all sat at and he sat at the end. As he sat down he looked at all the people in the room. Over 80 representatives of the old samurai families were in the room.
"It's official. The war for Great Japan shall soon begin." Everyone stood and clapped. He raised his hand to silence the applause and everyone took their seats once more. "As we have gone through, the north of the country shall be our beginning. Niigata will be our capital until we have taken Tokyo. All of our soldiers are prepared and prepped. Ships have been mustered to blockade to fight. Everything is ready."
"The Samurai will restore this country's glory, or we will die trying."
"Banzai!" A man yelled.
"Banzai!" Everyone yelled back in response.
The 3rd Japanese Civil War has begun.
