Gerda was no fool. She saw the look in Elsa's eyes when she talked about killing her. It was a huge ploy. She understood… She knew. But Anna did not understand. She was but a child.

"Did she really do all those mean things Ger… Ms. Gerda?" She heard the little princess ask. "Why would she lie?"

The question surprised Gerda. She's a child, how could she see past her sister's words? How could she see things their father could not?

"She's too predictable," Anna explains after seeing the shocked expression of their caretaker. "I hate her."

Hate? Does Anna really have the capacity to hate her elder sister? She loves, no idolizes her sister, and does not have it in her to hold any negative thoughts towards her sister. Why would she say this now? Gerda was beyond confused. Or rather she chose to be confused in hopes of avoiding the current situation.

"She's too stupid. Too selfish. A huge idiot. I hate her." Contrary to what she was saying. Anna was grieving over her sister's actions. That sister of hers would die smiling if it meant her little sister was safe. It wasn't stupid.

Gerda understood what the little princess meant. Her sister loves her too much to even think for a second about the consequences of her actions. Elsa would not think twice about jumping into a fire if it meant protecting her little sister. And being the cause of everything, of course, Anna would feel bad.

"Will she be fine?" Anna poked their caretaker hoping to get any form of response. She has been talking and talking with no response at all.

Contrary to what she was feeling. Gerda smiled at the young princess. "Of course, she will be. She's your big strong sister remember. She can be whatever you need her to be."

"But I don't want her to be."

Neither girl spoke after. They just let the gravity of the situation take over. With a heavy heart, Gerda needed to leave to do other chores. She did not want to leave the poor princess alone, but if the King sees her still in the room when he gets back, Anna might be in trouble. Considering the state Elsa was in and knowing the elder princess. Elsa might get herself killed this time.

It was already nighttime when Agnarr dragged the unconscious body of the elder princess into their room. The king pushed the door open so hard it almost got unhinged. "Princess or not you needed to be taught a lesson." He shouted before throwing the unmoving body of Elsa to the ground.

Anna jumped out of her bed and approached her sister forgetting for a short instance of their father's presence.

"Both of you will not eat tonight. Do I make myself clear?"

Anna was quivering at this point. Seeing the state her sister was in, and the wrath in her father's face. She wasn't sure what was running on his mind. What if he harms her next? No! She needed to be strong. She needs to show her sister that she no longer needs protection.

But tears fell down her face. Fear took over and she couldn't move nor speak.

"I asked a question." Anger was clear in the way he delivered the message.

Anna opened her mouth to speak but instead, her tears only fell harder. Just say yes, just one word. Yes. Your sister just spoke up for you earlier. She knew the consequences of her words yet she dared to speak. Do the same. Just say yes.

Try as she might, the words just won't come out. Her tears continue to fall, slowly falling towards the blood-soaked face of her sister.

"Are you really going to disrespect me again so as not to answer? The night is young, another trip to the room ought to loosen your tongue.

No no no. A trip to that room? No, please papa no. Anna's mind was going into overdrive and she could feel fire building in her hands. If this goes out of control Anna will be punished. And the thought of it scares her further. It's just one word just say yes.

"Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?" Agnarr repeated each word slowly making sure to deliver the point across. Answer now or he will torture someone again.

Your sister is in no condition to stand up for you anymore. It's just one word, how can it be this hard? No, the fire is building up. I need to contain it. Just relax. How can I relax when my father is right in front of me? Anna kept forcing herself to speak, but still, no words came out.

"Is that fire I see?" Agnarr's voice was calm. Calmer than it's supposed to be.

Anna doesn't know what to do. She can't contain her powers and her father is already suspecting her of using her powers. What can she do?

"I see you really are going to act tough aren't, girl? Well, we both.."

Just as Agnarr was about to finish his sentence. Anna's right hand started to spark. Her powers are starting to surface. Not now of all times.

Agnarr smirked. Finally, I can teach this girl a lesson. "Let your powers fly and we shall see to it you control it."

Anna can no longer contain her powers; she can feel it trying to get out. There was no escape. She decided to just give in and let her powers go. There was no way she was going to contain it given the situation. She was scared beyond belief, but there just was absolutely nothing she could do now.

Anna knew her powers were about to come out and she decided to close her eyes shut. Their father smiled at the prospect of finally getting to punish his youngest. And finally, she can learn control. Her right hand lit up in fire.

As soon as the fire formed in her hand, Anna felt a cool sensation on her palms. Aren't fires supposed to be hot? Then why is she feeling a cool sensation?

"Yes, papa it's clear." A soft whisper was soon heard. How? Anna opened her eyes and was shocked to see her sister holding her hand, struggling so hard to contain her little sister's powers. Trying so hard to make it seem like nothing was forming in Anna's hands.

What shocked her the most, was that Elsa was standing in front of her, trembling and making sure to shield her from any potential actions from their father. A pool of blood was forming beneath Elsa's feet and her sister could see the tattered shape of her back. It seems like Elsa's entire backside was removed of flesh. Removed from the brutal whippings as Anna could guess.

Agnarr was shocked at the situation as well. Elsa was just beaten to a pulp, well even beyond a pulp. He was expecting her to remain unconscious for at least a week and that was wishful thinking. How can she even stand now? "Good" Was all Agnarr said before closing the door, still perplexed at what just happened.

As soon as Agnarr left, Anna's fire dissipated as well. "Thank you and I'm so so so so so sooorry."

Elsa slowly spun around with a soft smile on her face. "There's no need to thank me. And nothing to be sorry f.." Before she could finish her sentence Elsa fell to the ground unconscious. Panic rose in Anna as she shouted for help.

Closing notes: The succeeding chapters will be lighter compared to the first five chapters. The sisters will be able to have fun.
