At Stoick's Hut…
Stoick the Vast, Swift the Flash, Rawhide the Iron, Wolfbane the Prowling, Spitlack the Bruiser, and Venom the Unkillable with the Elders were gathered around to talk about Hiccup and the dragons.
"Your Lad really made a difference, Son. I never thought there would be a time we would ever make peace with the dragons." Magnus the Unbeatable sighed with a mug of bear in his hands.
"Aye, it seemed so unreal," Rawhide admitted as he looked at his own mug.
"Told you all he would make a change, I told you." Swift proudly boasted with her arms crossed and smugness drenching her form, "See how one little Hiccup could change the world."
"We've been through this; it was a coin toss on his name, and you were there!" Stoick growled feeling irritated by his sister's statement.
"Oh, I am not talking about his name, and you know it. Even after hundreds of years, you still look down on Hiccups, like me and your own son." Swift scoffed as she remembered the same things she went through as a child, "We still struggle to make a name for ourselves while the rest of you keep pushing us down. Don't try to deny it."
Stoick became quiet, though her words stung worse than any Speed Stinger, there was the truth. Stoick never noticed his son before he was able to make peace with the dragons and when Hiccup tried to show them at first…
"You're not a Viking… You're not my son…"
Those words, those ugly, ugly words still lingered even after everything, his greatest guilt and shame. Even after patching things up with his son, those words still haunt him, in his sleep and in his heart. It was the worst thing he had ever done, a shackle of guilt that would never leave, no matter how much time passed. He does everything he can to make it up to his offspring, but it is never enough. He knew... he knew he scarred his son for life, and nothing would ever make it up to him.
"Are we going to ignore the fact that the blasphemous omega runt has gone against everything we stood for and then allied himself with the demons?" Wolfbane growled in wrath, though that was not the real reason he was angry.
"Shut your mouth, Wolfbane. We all know you could care less about the dragons or the boy." The elder who was brought into the clan by the marriage of his daughter, Stoick's late wife, Old Wrinkly coldly warned.
"The boy has done more in a few weeks than the entire tribe has done in their lifetimes," Magnus added, coughing slightly.
"We have been fighting dragons for three hundred years, three hundred years! All of our people's blood, our families… they're gone because of them! Stoick, your own wife-!"
Big mistake.
Wolfbane was soon strangled by his own brother and lifted from his seat.
"Say one more word and you won't have a tongue to speak." Stoick coldly warned, though no one reacted by his outburst.
"Stoick-urk! You wouldn't dare! You wouldn't dare kill your own blood!"
"And since you are my blood, you are set higher expectations and I only warn you once. If you harm my boy or the dragons here, I will not show mercy." Stoick promised then dropped his brother.
"My son should be the heir, Stoick. He is more capable." Wolfbane coughed.
"Oh, your son is capable but not in what you speak of. That type of capability is why he will never be the leader of this tribe." Swift sneered at her brother.
He grumbled then slowly left.
"You really need to do something about him, Stoick. Him and his awful son." Swift warned the Chieftain of the Hooligan.
"He won't try anything in the daylight."
"True, but that didn't mean that he can't do anything when our backs are turned."
At the Dragon Academy…
Hiccup placed up the Seven Classes to where each Viking would go as everyone was excited to see where they would do and what dragons they could train.
Everyone was excited to see the type of teachers they would get… well some were disappointed.
"Fear Class? Fear Class? Me being taught by those-those muttonhead twins?!" Dogbreath fumed at the thought.
He was fuming with rage. The thought of him, the Great Dogbreath being taught by a pack of fools! It was insulting! Yes, he still thinks back to that accursed letter!
To every member of the Haddock Family,
I am to inform you that the war between dragons and humans has finally ended. The Red Death, the Queen of Dragons who brought misery and anguish through her subjects has been slain by my son, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. Hiccup has uncovered a discovery unlike any other, he has trained a dragon, a Night Fury named Toothless. He is the first to find the nest, he is the one to have slain the Red Death, and he has brought peace and tamed the dragons.
For his actions, we shall hold the title ceremony at the Capital of the Hooligan Tribe, where we will discuss our 'newest' lifestyle. Drinks and food will be provided but bring your own weapon.
Signed, Head Chief Stoick the Vast
"HICCUP!" He boomed as he scared the terrors away.
"His Majesty beckons." Astrid huffed at the sight of Hiccup's entitled cousins.
"Great." Hiccup groaned as his dragon Toothless growled at Dogbreath, even the dragon knows he was a jerk without meeting him.
"Want me to chat with him?"
"No, better that I do it or he'll keep getting more and more riled up. Besides, I'm one of the teachers at Berk, I shouldn't hide from my students." Hiccup refused and then walked with Toothless to see his cousin.
"Just be careful, Hiccup," Astrid asked, worried for her friend.
Dogbreath was a beta, and a cruel one at that barks the loudest but knows how to scare Omegas into submission.
If he tries anything, Astrid will be waiting.
"HICCUP!"
"I'm here, I'm here what's the problem?" Hiccup sighed to his cousin.
"My problem? My problem is this!" Dogbreath fumed as he presented the paper.
"You're in fear class, the perfect class for your type of dragon." Hiccup answered, not really seeing a problem.
"You are making me the student to those muttonheads?! You dare pair me up with those idiots." He barked.
"Tuffnut and Ruffnut may not look like much, they may be troublemakers, but they are good teachers in this class. I am not changing the assigned class." Hiccup firmly answered, standing up to his comrades against his cousin.
"I refuse to be taught by them!" He snarled.
"Then you'll have to find your own teacher then."
Hiccup then crossed out Dogbreath's name, signifying him being kicked out of the academy before being given his classes.
"You're kicking me out?!" Dogbreath growled as the original riders were watching in case they needed to stop him.
"Apologize to Ruffnut and Tuffnut and you can come back-?" Hiccup informed but then was suddenly grabbed by his cousin!
"You little runt! You do not give me Ultimatums! I give-!"
ROAR!
Toothless had enough and tackled the boy to the ground while everyone watched!
"You miserable dragon! I'll lob off your-!"
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"
Stoick and the other chiefs appeared by the commotion.
"Little runt, call off your dragon before I drive my axe into him!" Wolfbane threatened the boy.
"Dogbreath tried to threaten Hiccup then attacked him, Toothless was just protecting Hiccup." Astrid voiced to the chiefs.
"It's true. We saw the whole thing." Trout confirmed to the adults while everyone behind agreed with him.
"My son would never-!"
"Dogbreath, answer yourself!" Stoick ordered the boy.
"My cousin dared to kick me out of his stupid school after I voiced that I wouldn't be taught by the muttonheads!"
"Hey!" Tuffnut and Ruffnut complained.
"I'm defending my team, and I will let him back in if he apologizes." Hiccup calmly answered before dusting himself off.
Stoick nodded.
"Very well. Hiccup's choice will stand then." Stoick agreed while crossing his arms.
"WHAT?!" Wolfbane and Dogsbreath boomed in fury.
"Anyone entering this school will uphold the rules and decisions of my son and his friends, no exceptions." Stoick declared then looked to his brother, "If your son wants to be a dragon rider, he'll apologize not just to the twins but to my sons for his outburst."
Dogsbreath growled but Wolfbane mouthed him to do it.
"Fine, Sorry… you two and… Hiccup."
Hiccup sighed.
"And next time you have an outburst like that, you'll be kicked out for good." Hiccup warned the boy.
