Unexpected. That is how aspiring actor Bruno Madrigal would describe the night he crossed paths with the mysterious woman dancing in sky-high, blood-red heels. Initially coming into a bar to get drunk, he falls in love at first sight and finds himself caught in the middle of something forbidden. Casita is back. The miracle is back. Everything should be great, right? Having their gifts back turns out to be almost as much of an adjustment as having their uncle back.

What would happen if even after the whole song and dance, everyone is still silent to Abuela's abuse towards Mirabel? She takes a moment to let all the years of blatant pain, neglect and her grandmother's words to fully sink in and realizes that she actually hates them for what they all did.

Bruno's visions cause pain to everyone. In his youth, he tried to have a good vision and ends up with one of the bad kind. He tries to take responsibility for it and warn them before it's too late. But things never work out for the young Madrigal boy... do they?

When Cas Madrigal gets stuck back in time, she has to roll with the lie that she's Bruno's daughter till she can drag herself and the troublemaker that caused this back to the future. But having already caused a huge disruption to the timeline, Cas is going to have to figure out to how to guide Mirabel back to saving the Miracle and the family.

On the eve of his 21st birthday, Bruno reflects on the curse of his family's "gifts". He decides to blow out the candle and throw away the gift. The family and town has to deal with the loss of the Madrigal's powers and Casita. Was destroying the miracle worth it? (I have heard the pleas of the people and I will continue this story)

Before Mirabel's fifth birthday, the Madrigal is sent to a room by the ghost of Pedro. He tells them how he can go anywhere in time, either to the past or future. He tells them that something is going to happen in the future that can be avoided, but to do that they need to watch their future. Will Alma listen or will she dismiss it?

In an alternate timeline when Pedro lived and the miracle never happened, the Madrigal family live separately but in the same neighborhood. One stormy night in 1945, shortly after the end of World War II, Bruno and Aya's lives are changed by three lost children.
