At the Secret base…
"You have failed."
Those were the three words she hated as she looked at her master. V.V. looked at her with contempt as the geass user felt the judging eyes of the order, feeling the jackals wanting to take everything she had worked for.
"Forgive me, Master. Everything went as planned, but I never accounted for the Brotherhood to intervene-." She pleaded from the child-like Code bearer.
"Enough. No more excuses. Get out of my sight." V.V. ordered the woman, who bowed her head in shame.
The child-like entity sneered at the flaw in his plan as he crossed his arms.
"So, the Brotherhood have decided to come out of hiding and they've decided on their champion on my pawn… Brother will not be pleased. I will need to hunt them down and collect what is needed for our plans." V.V. muttered to himself as he looked at his ultimate goal, "This minor error will need to be addressed, our little wayward prince needs to come to our way of thinking, and so is his knight…"
Near the Lamperouge Suite…
A small group of hooded people were keeping watch as they were keeping an eye on the people inside.
"It seems Prince Lelouch has decided to bring the Black Knights into the fold." One of the members informed the others.
"Probably for the best, the Order will be bringing everything they can, and we need to see Lelouch make it through."
"We interfered with cruel destiny, and we must make certain we can change the future."
"We must protect the Excogigate Embox from them."
"Only place to hide it is with Lelouch."
"We must prepare."
In the Living Area of the Lamperouge Suite…
Kallen was looking for Suzaku as he was watching the news with Euphemia and her loyal guard.
The Knight Boy had answers about what was going on with Zero, with Lelouch or Luicia or whatever she's called, and what was going on. He knows something, being childhood friends with the long-lost princesses, then dating his sworn enemy, and then saving the Black Knights. Though he was saving his boyfriend and Euphemia.
Anyways…
She wanted answers.
"Before plugging in that flash drive, let's get some answers straight from the horse's mouth. I feel like Kururugi can fill in certain details." Kallen suggested to the others.
"Think he'll squawk or even give us the truth?" Tamaki questioned, not trusting the boy whom he saw as a traitor.
"Let us see. He may have chosen a path that most would not agree with, but he did save our leader-." Toudou began.
"He saved them because they are his love, not because they are Zero." Ohgi corrected him, still unsure about trusting Zero.
"Ah oh." One of the Guards gasped as breaking news came up.
"This just in from the Emperor's Palace; King Charles has an announcement following the SAZ Massacre and disappearance of Zero and Former Princess Euphemia."
"Turn it up," Ohgi ordered as Tamaki did so.
"People of Britannia and lessers of Area 11, I have been informed of a great betrayal and tragedy that has fallen the illegal project of my daughter, Euphemia Li Britannia…"
"Illegal project?"
"Shh."
"It has seemed that my own flesh has conspired with Zero in order to eliminate myself and the Britannia Government. Thankfully, loyalists to Britannia have taken action in preventing this madness, though were unsuccessful in their elimination."
"C-conspired?!"
"What?!"
"Her Highness would never-!"
"Father…"
Suzaku looked at the former princess, disbelief was on everyone's faces and hers held betrayal from her own family.
"Lelouch… you were right…" Suzaku breathed as Kallen picked up on it.
"Therefore, I am ordering the execution of the Traitorous Massacre Princess Euphemia, the Terrorist Zero, and all of their conspirators. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is to report to the military at once or face the same fate. Zero, Euphemia, wherever you are… your days are over."
They soon turned off the TV as the silence overcame the room. The only thing that was heard was the Footsteps of .C.C. in a Zero Attire.
"Zero says it's time. We must send a response." She emotionlessly informed before putting on her mask.
Everyone looked around, betrayal was evident, and it seemed that the true enemy was exposed.
"Right, whatever it is we need to figure out about Zero can wait. For now, we need to respond to Charles' announcement and rally Japan." Ohgi declared as everyone looked determined.
"I'll get the camera ready. Let us make history." Diethard declared with excitement in his eyes.
He seemed to have bagged the right pony and was going to document every moment.
It will be of legends…
In a secret underground base…
"How long did you guys have this?" Tamaki asked Nunnally.
"It was always there. The grotto used to be a place where brother went to think but later was converted as an emergency bunker." Nunnally informed the knights.
"Got to hand it to your brother, he's pretty thorough." Chiba voiced as she somewhat admired the dedication the former princess put into this place, or into everything.
"Well, that's Lelouch. Nothing is ever half-done, it's like a compulsion." Suzaku answered then turned to Euphemia, "Are you sure you want to do this? It will only paint a bigger target on your back."
"Suzaku, thank you for being there for me from the beginning. If it wasn't for you and my brother, I wouldn't have made a difference. But I have to do this. What happened at SAZ was my fault-."
"Euphie-." Nunnally voiced.
"No, it was my actions that caused so many deaths. Lelouch tried to warn me, and I didn't listen… Let me redeem what I've done and finish what I set out to do, free Japan." The no longer Pink Princess declared, everyone showing pride for her."
'Big Brother would be so proud of you if he was awake…' Nunnally thought.
Everything was set as Diethard began to roll.
"People of Japan, you have been sullied and lied to. Emperor Charles decided to slaughter any who got in his way, even his own daughter. The attack on SAZ only proves that he is capable of great evil and his death sentence on the fair and kind Princess Euphemia shows what a threat we are." The Fake Zero declared, showing the princess unharmed and wearing a dress now black with the symbol of the Black Knights.
"Everyone, my father has not only betrayed the people of Japan but our country and his own family. He claims that SAZ was a coupe and the terrorists he employed were doing their civic duty. But it was all lies! SAZ was to bring our two nations together and to help Japan, father saw this as a threat and murdered all these innocent people." Euphemia informed with passion in her voice.
Ohgi then presented the videos and pictures of the massacre, gory and horrid with bodies littering the area. Then showed the people before the horrific effect.
"They were not terrorists or radicals, criminals or objects. They were people. They were mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, family, and friends! My father and his government killed them all without mercy or remorse! How is this justice? How is this peace?" Euphemia cried, showing her caring heart to the world for the souls lost.
"People of Japan, no… People of the World; see these faces, see these souls, and know that they still cry out for justice! Charles didn't silence their voices, no matter how many bullets he violated them with! They are still shouting, they cry out for us to free Japan, to end the bloodshed, to stop Charles…!" Zero rehearsed with the same passion and theatrics as the original, "Japan, follow me to freedom!"
Diethard then ended the video as everyone knew that Japan was once again… at war.
