Soon enough, the Mystery Inc. gang, along with Braedey and Willow, with Ben Ravencroft, had arrived in the North of the USA, and were now leaving the bustling cities behind, heading off into the British countryside.

It was going to be a bit of a long drive for them, but they didn't mind this. Braedey was taking the time to rest up, and Willow also took the time to catch some Z's. Shaggy and Scooby were enjoying their snacks, Daphne reading up on the sights to Fred, who was driving as per usual, whilst Ben was up ahead of the van, with Velma in his car, a black Rolls-Royce of the 40's.

As they drove along into the town, Ben was surprised to see so many cars and people. This has never happened before in his hometown, so it's a surprise for him.

Soon, they parked up in the lot for something called 'The Oakhaven Festival'. Once the van stopped, Braedey and Willow woke up. Scooby gently patted their cheeks to wake them up, and they stumbled out of the van to see what's going on.

Ben looked around his hometown; it sure had changed a lot, but in a crazier way than he expected. It wasn't the quiet little town he grew up in. There were crowds all around the place, photographers and tourists, some of them from abroad or even from other towns nearby.

Velma looked around in confusion. "I thought you said this was a quiet little town."

"It was." Ben agreed with Velma.

"This is a pretty popular spot." Fred remarked to Ben as he got out of the van with the others.

"Do many people come here often?" Daphne asked.

"Sure, we always get a few leaf peepers but never like this. This is a 'circus'." Ben now sounded slightly insulted.

"We should go see the mayor then, maybe he might know what's going on." Willow suggested.

"Good point, there he is now." Ben looked ahead to see a portly man greeting people to the town and smiling to them.

"Like, maybe he'll know a place to eat." Shaggy smiled hungrily.

"Reah!" Scooby agreed.

"With him being the mayor, the possibility is a 100% yes." Braedey said.

The Mayor was welcoming new guests. "Welcome to old Oakhaven. Have a wonderful time. So glad you can come."

"Mayor Corey!" Ben called out to the portly man.

The mayor looked with a smile to the author. "Ben, my boy! I'm glad you could come home to see this," He then noticed the rest of the group. "Oh, you brought friends, and their dog." Mayor Corey smiled.

"Rog?" Scooby looked around. "Rhere?"

The Mayor laughed. "Welcome! The more, the merrier."

"Um, Mr. Mayor, it isn't usually this crowded, is it?" Braedey asked.

"It's great, isn't it?" Corey grinned. "Business is booming! Not like a few months ago when it was slower than maple syrup on a cold day."

"Ew." Braedey stuck out his tongue.

"Hey, Ben!" An aged man now walked by with a box of supplies.

"Hi, Mr. McKnight!" Ben sounded very happy to see him.

"Welcome home, have a T-shirt before my store sells out, you can wear it to the concert tomorrow." Mr. McKnight offered.

"Concert?" Braedey asked. "What concert?"

Fred looked ahead with a smile. "The Hex Girls."

"You've heard of them, Fred?" Daphne asked him with surprise.

"Just now." Fred pointed to the banner ahead for the Autumn Festival.

Braedey looked at the banner. "'The Hex Girls performing a concert here in Oakhaven'." He read the banner.

"They definitely sound unique." Willow commented.

"A local group." Mr. McKnight smiled. "I know you'll like 'em... Spooky..." He looked to Ben when he said that, Ben not liking where this is going.

Braedey took out a T-Shirt, which had a green witch on the front of it and some writing above and below it. He read it aloud. "'I saw the Oakhaven's Witch's Ghost and Lived'? What does that mean?"

"Ghost?" Shaggy and Scooby were already scared.

"Looks like there's a ghost in YOUR own backyard, Ben." Velma remarked.

"Not only that, but it's his own ancestor, the ghost of Sarah Ravencroft." Mayor Corey informed them.

"What?" Willow asked in bewilderment.

"Now why would the ghost of Mr. Ravencroft's ancestor want to haunt Oakhaven?" Braedey asked to him.

"Oh, it's witch nonsense." Ben looked to Braedey with disbelief.

"What can I say, Ben?" Corey shrugged to the author. "Ever since we built our puritan village, her ghost appeared many times."

Velma cut in and had an idea of why Sarah might be haunting the village. "Don't tell me, you disturbed her spirit with the construction, and she's now haunting the town." She took a guess.

"How did you know?" Corey sounded surprised to her.

"The gang, Mystery Inc., specialise in ghost hunting." Willow clarified to him. "They know a thing or two."

"Oh, I see." Corey sounded impressed.

"Yeah, we have solved many mysteries and have never failed once." Braedey said.

"Did you say "puritan village"?" Ben now asked to the mayor.

Mayor Corey now decided to have them look around the village. "What you're seeing is a perfect recreation of life was like back in the 1600's, as reenactments by our locals." Mayor Corey said to the gang as they looked at the village and the reenactments taking place.

"When did this all go up?" Ben asked.

"About six months ago." Corey replied.

Velma liked it. "This is amazing, Mayor!"

"It does look rather interesting." Willow noted. She looked to Braedey, who seemed lost in his thoughts.

Daphne then found small corn husk dolls with Fred, she found them cute and Fred did so too. Willow then saw Braedey looking around, so she gently took his hand to make sure he doesn't walk off, to his annoyance but he didn't show it.

"Hey, look, guys!" Shaggy calls to Scooby and Braedey, as Shaggy put himself in the head stocks. "I've been a ba-a-a-ad boy!" This made Scooby laugh while Braedey snickered to him.

Braedey, Willow, Shaggy and Scooby now looked to a puritan woman with a churner and she looked over to the four of them. "Wouldst thou like to churn?" She offered kindly to Scooby.

"Huh?" Scooby wondered if she was talking to him.

"Like, it's your turn to churn the butter, old buddy." Shaggy encouraged him.

"It's not that hard, Scooby." Willow reassured. "Just be firm but try not to break it."

Scooby went and did that, then turned the butter churn into a guitar as he pretended to play it and made moves like Chuck Berry in the song Johnny B. Goode. And where everyone enjoying this as they laughed while Scooby was pretending to play the butter churner like a guitar, until he slipped over, the tourists laughing and snickering.

"Like, all we need is the popcorn." Shaggy joked, Scooby and Braedey snickering.

Willow then looked over to see Velma with Mayor Corey and Ben, so she walked over to overhear what was going on between the three's conversation.

"So you say a ghost has been appearing here?" Velma asked to the Mayor.

"Ah-yup. That's right, young lady." Mayor Corey informed to her. "Apparently, we disturb the spirit of Ben's ancestor, who was persecuted as a witch. Way back in 1657."

"Unjustifiably persecuted." Ben spoke back in interjection. "Sarah Ravencroft was a medicine woman who practiced natural healing, and was unfairly accused because of her asencted ways!"

"Just like the Salem witch trials." Willow noted.

"Many men and women who were a bit different or didn't conform to the codes of the colony, suffer the same fate." Velma added in.

"Sarah was a healer. It was said she even kept a journal of all thepatients she cured with her orble riminies." Ben explained to Velma.

Sure, Willow wasn't one to question about magic or the concept of such, but she decided to stay silent and think about what she has heard. She wondered a little about Sarah Ravencroft, but she wasn't so sure.

Shaggy and Scooby now go to take a look at the corn husk dolls. Scooby grabbed one of the tiny hats, and he puts on the hat on his head.

"It's a perfect fit, Scoob." Shaggy joked.

Scooby laughed. "Reah." Braedey snickered at that.

Just then, the wind blew off Scooby's little hat, so he chased after it, only for a mole to take the hat. Scooby looked at it, then it goes down to its hole. Scooby tried to get the hat back, but the mole bit Scooby's paw. Scooby growled, and began to dig through the dirt, Braedey and Shaggy moving away to not get covered in dirt.

"Easy, Scoob." Shaggy called, hurt as Scooby found a item he got out of the hole. "Like, what you got there, old buddy?" Shaggy asked.

Scooby spits the item out, revealing it to be some kind of rusty rectangle shape. "Ri don't know."

Braedey looked at the item. "Wonder what this is?" He wondered.

Mayor Corey walked up to Shaggy. "Looks like you found a old shoe buckle, my boy. Probably over 400 years old." He said to him.

Shaggy shrugged. "Cool." He then attached the shoe buckle into his shoe. "Man. Look for another one, Scoob. So I can have a matching pair."

Scooby nodded. "Rokay."

"Yes, we found all sorts of items from the old colony when we cleared this area for construction." Mayor Corey said to Shaggy. "Handmade nails, horseshoes, farm equipment."

"How about a book?" Ben asked to them. "You know how long I've been searching for Sarah's journal to clear our family name."

"Sorry, Ben, nothing like that." Corey frowned.

"Nothing like what, sir?" Braedey asked, coming in from the corner.

"Ben is convinced himself Sarah Ravencroft has a book in which she had medical talents before she was arrested for being judged as a witch." Corey explained to him.

Ben was really hoping there was one and looked to the kids. "It's really important to me."

"I can understand. The book must be like a long-lost family heirloom." Braedey said.

"It's the only way to prove her innocence." Ben looked down to him.

"What makes you think that it's Sarah's ghost haunts this place?" Fred asked.

"Because the ghost says so. Maybe you'll see her tonight." Mayor Corey stated.

Fred rolled his eyes. "Oh boy."

Daphne gently nudged him. "You never know, Fred." Willow was also wondering about this ghost, while gently taking Braedey's hand, the little brunette just rolling his eyes.

"We'd like to see a puritan pizza joint?" Shaggy spoke up. "We're starved."

"Reah!" Scooby agreed with Shaggy as his stomach grumbled. Braedey somehow knew that Scooby and Shaggy were going to be wanting to know of where the nearest food place was.

"Don't worry, boys." Corey smiled to them. "We've got the best restaurant in all New England. It's back in town, I'll walk you."

"Do you kids want to go?" Ben asked the group. "Or do you want to see my studio?"

"I would like to come to to your studio." Velma added.

"Wow, would we ever! Shaggy, we'll meet with you later!" Velma called to the leaving Great Dane and cowardly teen.

"You two be careful." Braedey called next.

"Mayor, tell Jack anything they order is on me!" Ben called out, making Shaggy and Scooby very happy.

"Zoinks! Like, what a great guy." Shaggy commented to Scooby as they walked away.

"You're gonna regret that offer, Ben." Daphne chuckled as they all walked off to see his studio.

As the gang head off to go in their different directions, unbeknown to them, a white wolf was watching them, hidden within the trees, then began to head off to find its master to inform about what it's seen...
