After several years, I have the itch to write again and it's for Mortal Kombat! This is my first attempt at writing a story like this, so any comments, reviews, and constructive criticism are always welcome. It helps me want to continue writing it.
Disclaimer: All of the canon characters and material belong to Ed Boon and John Tobias, Midway Games, Williams Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Games. Original characters, the plot, and concepts not include in the Mortal Kombat series only belong to me. I write this story solely for entertainment purposes.
Lekorian magic was highly regarded for its purity and power, especially in the field of white healing magic. The skilled inhabitants who wielded this magic were known as combat healers. They were fighters who combined their impressive combat skills with unparalleled healing abilities, capable of curing even the deadliest of diseases. For generations, the Lekorian clan had enjoyed the benefits of their hard work and accumulated wealth that would last for many generations to come.
That is until a young woman would shake the Lekorian legacy to its core.
Yenna belonged to the Lekorian clan and her sole purpose in life was to scour the different realms for the best ingredients to find a cure for the most devastating disease known to mankind - Tarkat. To date, no cure had been discovered for this disease but Yenna refused to give up hope. She believed that there was still a possibility that those afflicted with the disease could be saved. Even though the risks of contracting the disease were high, Yenna remained determined to pursue her quest.
To survive her travels through various realms, Yenna had to master the art of kombat. She received training from Master Bo Rai Cho, who agreed to take her under his wing after the Lekorians used their healing abilities to help the injured refugees of Outworld following the previous war. Yenna continued to train with her master until she reached early adulthood, at which point she parted ways with him and continued on her journey.
Little did she know that, several months later, her journey would lead to a discovery of horrendous secrets, by a cunning yet deadly sorcerer.
