The spacecraft was not big. Not what this lone Navigator had been used to flying. Just right: the size.

"Are you ready? We may proceed... The Time/Space Continuum seems very appropriate today. Yes!"

The Navigator thought/spoke these words to his one young female companion.

A rogue member of the Bene Gesserit order. Clad all in black, as usual. Fire-red hair.

"Certainly... Let us proceed my Friend. Do you have a proper name?" Cozette had replied.

"I've been a Navigator in training and by profession for so long, I forget my long-ago human name.

Perhaps, you might give me one. Something lyrical. Maybe from the ancient Earth texts: Shakespearean?"

The young woman with a long ponytail, not generally acceptable by her former religious order, thought-back:

"How about... Lysander. I've always loved that name, and the Great Bard's story with him. How do you like it?"

"Yes... from 'A Midsummer's Night's Dream'. I believe that once I read that story... When I was a human male."

The Navigator now smiled. You do not often see one of their kind show any facial expressions. This was rare.

"Very well... You shall be Lysander. And 'Yes'... I am ready to proceed with our brave journey. Cast off & away!"

Cozette's thought words echoed long in the Navigator's mind, as he soon folded space. They were 'Off' at last.
