Alisana yawned quietly, covering her mouth slightly as she listened to bit of talk going on in the center of the classroom; glancing over at Rae as she started to exclaim her affection for Claire. She stretched slightly as she moved some of her fiery red hair out of her face as she looked around the room slowly, scanning it intently with her stormy grey eyes before she felt someone touch her shoulder gently. She shifted her gaze to the girl sitting next to her with her pitch black hair tied back in a tight braid and her violet eyes studying Alisana's face with concern.
"Have you not been sleeping well Alli?" The girl asked her softly.
"I'm fine Saiako…just thinking." Alisana replied before she leaned back in her seat.
Saiako watched Alisana with concern as the other whinced slightly from leaning back. Saiako knew that Alisana typically went out at night to train though her friend was never one to entertain the idea of Saiako going with her even if Saiako would be able to heal any of the injuries she usually came back with afterward. As Rae kept talking to Claire excitedly Alisana tuned her out as best she could to try to get some more sleep before she slowly dozed off. Saiako jostled Alisana slightly as class was coming to an end as they got up to leave the room.
"I really wish that you would lean on me a bit more Alli." Saiako muttered as they walked through the halls.
"I'm fine Saiako." Alisana replied as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Besides I would rather not have you in harms way while I practice."
Saiako sighed before she nodded as looked down at the ground slightly dejected before Alisana pat her back slightly though she didn't have an idea as to what to say beyond that before they nearly ran into Rae and Claire along with their friends in the hallway again. Alisana let her breath out slowly as she looked down slightly at the group of girls causing Loretta and Pepi to freeze up slightly before pulling on Claire's sleeve slightly. Claire glanced from her friends before following their gaze to Alisana and Saiako before she shook her head slightly.
"Do you see what your behavior does Commoner?" Claire asked Rae. "It causes an inconvenience to not only myself but other people as well."
Claire smirked slightly at Rae before turning fully to Alisana to give her a polite curtsy as she got ready to leave with Rae watching her leave.
"Alli…you could try softening your expression slightly when you look at people." Saiako told her quietly, glancing up at her friend.
"It keeps people from bothering me as much if they feel no reason to approach me." Alisana replied matter-of-factly before she started to walk again.
As Alisana passed Rae she cast her the slightest of glances before she continued down the hallway as Rae watched her, feeling a bit off about the other girl.
"Rae?" Misha called out to her. "Are you alright?"
"I…who was that girl?" Rae asked her quietly.
"From what I hear her name is Alisana Monasura." Misha responded. "I don't know much about her to be honest since Saiako Fugura is the only person that is comfortable with being around her. I had heard that people said that she gave off a cold no nonsense attitude but I didn't expect it to be that bad."
Rae could only nod slightly as she combed through her knowledge of the game world to try to dig up any relevant information on either Alisana or Saiako but if they had been relegated to side character Rae doesn't known how their involvement might affect her goals.
Alisana laid down on her bed while Saiako sat down on her own messing with her skirt slightly as she glanced at Alisana every so often.
"What's on your mind Saiako?" Alisana asked her quietly, her eyes closed.
"I just worry you Alli…" Saiako replied as she wrung her hands together slowly. "I don't like thinking about what would happen to you if I was gone."
"Well, its not like that would ever happen." Alisana replied, brushing it off slightly.
Saiako nodded, though she did her best to hide her pain from Alisana's lack of concern before she got to her feet.
"I think I just need to get some fresh air…" Saiako muttered softly before leaving the room.
After a while Alisana got to her feet and stretched as she felt her stomach rumble before she left her room, subsequently almost running right into Rae and Misha in the process. She glanced at the two other girls for a moment before turning to start making her way to the dining hall before Rae ran up and stopped in front of her.
"You're Alisana Monasura, right?"
"Does it really matter if I am or not?"
"I was just curious since this is the first time I have seen you around. Where is your friend, Saiako right?"
"She said that she was going to get some air. She'll most likely meet me at the dining hall."
"Well, maybe you should leave her a note just in case she comes back here first so that she isn't looking for you."
Alisana shrugged as she stepped past Rae again to continue her way on towards the dining hall as both girl's watched her dumbfounded.
"Its like she doesn't even care about whats going on with her friend." Rae sighed. "Saiako had looked like she was about cry when she passed us."
"This is just a bit of an idea and I can't say weather it is entirely right or not but I have heard from a few other student's that they can't really recall any time that they have seen Alisana express any real sort of emotion." Misha replied. "For all we know she could be worried about her friend but have no real way of fully expressing it."
"Even if that was the case Misha she could still show a desire to go find her friend."
"Rae, not everyone is able to be so open about their feelings like you. Besides, if Saiako has been Alisana's only friend since she got here then she may not be sure of what to do."
"Then maybe we should give her a little extra push to help her in the right direction."
"Are you sure you want to do that Rae? It could interfere with your time with Claire."
Rae paused for a moment before she shook her head, she was currently split between two difficult options. Either she could go spend more time around Claire or she could find out about these two girls that eluded her extensive research. As she was pondering over this issue Misha patted her gently on the shoulder with a soft smile on her face.
"How about we head to the dining hall while you continue to think this over?" Misha asked her.
"No, we should help her." Rae replied, having already made up her mind. "I know how it can feel to be alone and I would like to keep someone from going through that."
Misha nodded, honestly surprised by Rae's decision with how she had been acting previously whenever Claire was involved in situation though she was happy that Rae was to think of something else every once in a while. Once the two girl got to the dining hall they saw Alisana sitting by herself in a corner with Claire a few tables away as Misha glanced at Rae.
"Are you certain that you are going to be able to do this? Claire is just right over there."
"I've already made my decision, besides it would be good to know about Alisana don't you think?"
Misha nodded again before they both got some food before making their way over to where Alisana was sitting to join her though Rae couldn't help but feel like everyone had started to stare at them in the process. She let out her breath slowly and smiled towards Alisana slightly even though the other girl's expression seemed to remain unchanged.
"I don't see why you two have decided to come over here." Alisana replied.
"I felt like it would be a good time to talk." Rae told her. "Aren't you worried about Saiako?"
"She is a strong person. There is no real need for me to worry about her."
"I am sure she worries about you though." Misha replied softly.
"I don't see why. I don't do anything that would warrant any level of concern."
"It's only natural for friends to worry about each other." Rae retorted.
Rae and Misha glanced at each other after this but before they could see if their words had any sort of affect on Alisana she stood up and looked around the room slowly with the same bored expression.
"Something isn't right." Alisana muttered.
Before either Rae or Misha could say anything Alisana started to make her way out of the room but even more to either of the girl's surprise Claire and her own friend's got up and once they all caught up with Alisana Claire managed to glare at Rae before shifting her attention to Alisana again. The girl in question had herself positioned between Saiako and a few other girls and while Alisana's expression wasn't changing everyone could feel a dense chill in the air before Rod, Thane, and Yu ran over as there was already a huge commotion throughout the school.
"Whats going on here?" Rod asked as he looked from Alisana to the other girls.
One of the girl's started to speak up before she quickly quieted down and backed up as Alisana looked at her again. Saiako looked down before she gently placed a hand on Alisana's shoulder, her eyes red from tears as she kept her eyes diverted from everyone else.
"Its quite simple." Alisana stated. "My friend was getting some fresh air but I heard that she was in trouble, and once I found her these three had been bothering her."
"We understand that you wish to protect your friend but what none of us understand is if the talk about what was going on only started to spread after you got here then…how did you know she needed help?" Yu asked her.
"It doesn't matter how I knew. She was in trouble so I decided to act."
"We can't just have students fighting whenever they want." Thane replied. "We have the Academy Knights to handle these situations."
Alisana just shock her head before she turned to look Saiako, kneeling down to check on her.
"If the knights can't do their job then I will." Alisana replied before helping Saiako to her feet and making her way back to the dining hall without another word.
