"You see it too Jill?" Clive lifted his hand to see it turning into stone. "...I sure have a lot to write about." Clive was getting tired. He wanted to look at the moon, but all he saw was darkness.
Jill sobbed when she saw the red star fading away. Hearing Torgal's howls, she knew Clive was never coming back.
"Awooooooo!" Togal howled. He cried for his masters, howling in grief.
Jill sobbed, she was all alone now. She collapsed on the floor crying for her love.
'Clive. Joshua.' Sob. She sat down on the deck crying her eyes out.
Torgal looked up when he felt the warm sunshine.
"What is it boy?" Jill saw Torgal looking up at the sky. "Sunrise." She smiled sadly, tears running down her face.
'And thus did our journey end.' Clive hated saying goodbye, but they sacrificed themselves for the greater good. He smiled at Jill, she must've known Clive kept his promise.
"Final Fantasy?" Jill closed her eyes and prayed. "Joshua huh? Okay. This way future generations will know what happened here." She went to get Gav and Harpocrates, she couldn't write this book alone.
The God watches as the two boys play with their dog, like the two heroes in the story, they were incredibly close.
'A world where all Man is equal, no one is above one another, each life is their own.' The human named Cid dreamed of equality. Shame the book was just a fairy tale, but maybe it was better that way. The God watches the mother cooking dinner, it must've be nice to have someone love their children equally.
The puppy stops playing with the boys to bark at the trees.
"What is it Bahamut?" The older boy asks.
"Woof! Woof! Woof!" Bahamut runs up to a empty spot to wag its tail.
'You remind me of someone I know.' He smiles at the dog, the dog barking back in a friendly greeting.
"What is he looking at?" The younger boy asked.
"Beats me." Hearing their mom calling them for supper, the older brother picks up the dog. "C'mon, after supper lets play Kingdom vs Kingdom."
"I get to be Cid this time!"
"Hey! No fair! I let you be Ifrit! It's my turn to be Cid!"
'Our journey may had ended, but life goes on. However unlike Ultima, I won't interfere. I am equal to everyone else, here I walk among Man, be one with the elements, and will never be above anyone else. Joshua's book, it is a reminder that humanity continues going on, no matter how hard things get.'
The God spreads His wings, the wind blowing through the trees.
The woman sitting at the kitchen table eating with her sons admires the sunset.
"Mom look! It's the Phoenix!" The sun's rays through the clouds looked like a fiery bird.
"That's nice dear."
"Aww mom, you don't see anything."
"I think that's Ifrit. See how that cloud looks? It looks like Ifrit is about to roar."
"Ifrit Risin." The mom saw the boys exchanging looks. "What? I read that story growing up. Eat, before your food gets cold." The woman admires the sky, whoever created the world, sure knew how to make a fiery sunset.
