We're starting the day with pancakes, they're pretty easy to make if you have all your limbs. We've been living on cereal and fast food, and that's just not good for Gwen. I've been asking Gwen for help on simple things, like holding the bowl while I mix and scooping it onto the frying pan. I tried asking her to break an egg… I realized my mistake as soon as the egg exploded against the counter, I mean, she DID break it in the end, right? At least she's having fun.

- Ben! It's all mixed! Can we eat it now? – Gwen asks in a curious tone, drooling slightly while looking at the pancake mix, which would be ok, if her mouth wasn't directly above my head…

- Not yet, Gwen, we gotta cook them first, you can get sick if you eat them like this… – As I finish talking, I feel something warm and wet where my arm used to be, it's blood, the bandages are soaked.

- Fuck, gotta change them already, huh? I'll do it after the pancakes are done, gotta get Gwen her food first.

I let out a deep sigh, I'm used to it, but that doesn't mean I like having to change my bandages every few hours. To be fair, the wound should have closed already, but I kept reopening it by forcing myself too much, or stressing over stuff, or not resting to give it time to heal… Ok, it might be a tinny tiny bit my fault that is didn't close yet…

A few minutes later I'm placing a large plate of pancakes, like, REALLY like, 3 times what Gwen would eat before this, apparently all this shapeshifting can give you one hell of an appetite. I hear Gwen let out a cute "Yay!" when she sees the food. I chuckle tiredly, making sure she doesn't see the blood on the bandages.

- Come on, Ben! They look delicious! – She says, patting the seat next to her – I even grabbed Gwoop's jelly! -She raises a large jar filled to the brim with a deep pink, jelly-like substance.

I shiver slightly, remembering Gwoop. The night we found out she could transform in her sleep… Imagine with me, you wake up with a bright light in the middle of the night, only to find a humanoid of goo, bones, nerves and body parts calling out your name in an underwater like voice. After a while she said that the goo tasted like strawberry, fuck knows HOW she tasted anything like that. She made me store a whole bunch of it, and I did, making sure to not get any human parts in it, I try not to think too much about it…

- You eat first, I gotta change my bandages.

- I help you then! – She said eagerly, already getting up from her seat before I stopped her.

- Yeah, after last time? I'd rather not let you see me bleed. – I say, remembering the last time she "helped" me.

- O-Oh, oki, sowwy… - Gwen deflates instantly, sitting back down and stuffing her mouth with pancakes.

It's not really her fault, but the horrified look on her face when she saw my bloody arm was awful, but even worse was the noise of the watch setting off, apparently Gwen was so freaked out, the watch considered that a large threat was nearby, transforming Gwen into Gwen Arms for her "protection". In the end I had to calm her down, change the bandages on my own and replace the door Gwen broke while transforming. Oh, and I added "Distress transformation" to the list of reasons on why I hate that watch.

After entering the bathroom and making sure to lock the door (One of the few times locked doors are allowed now), I slowly take off my shirt, taking care I don't stain it with blood. With the easy part out of the way, I take a deep breath and start undoing the bandages, feeling slight pulls as some old, dried blood gets pulled away with the bandages. It's a mess of old dried, and fresh and very liquidy blood. Even being careful I see some drip on the floor and sink.

I clean the blood with a wet cloth and clean water, making sure not to scrub the wound directly, then, after drying it, I clean the wound directly with some hydrogen peroxide. Yeah, yeah, I know you're not supposed to do that, but I'm not exactly swimming in options right now, am I? I hiss feeling the burning sensation and seeing the white foam appear. I wait for the burning sensation to lessen and clean the wound again with clean water.

I look at those damn eyebags I got since this all started, so many nights staying up, studying the blueprints of that damn watch, seeing what parts are compatible and replaceable to try and fix it, learning bits and pieces from the programming language used on it, only to find out that most of it is unrecoverable so I have to try and write it from scratch! So yeah, the last few days haven't been my favorite in this vacation…

- Wait, what's this? – Taped on the far end of the bathroom mirror there's a paper, a really colorful paper. – Is this Gwen's… Timetable for her vacations?

I read it for a few minutes, some things were noted down to the second, was she always like this? Well, her mom IS a control freak according to dad… Most things where we couldn't do or had passed already, but one thing caught my eye, something I'm sure Gwen will love.

- A dinosaur exposition?
