Chapter 33: Og:

Sonic's POV:

Someone broke into Odette's hut. By the way, she's in the Freedom Fighters now. "I don't know what happened," says Odette.

"Look at this. It's some kind of footprint," says Amy.

Stix crawls on the ground and follows the footprints while sniffing. Me, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy then follow.

. . .

We moved pass Antoine and Bunnie making out.

"I'm starting to like it better when Bunnie couldn't stand Antoine," says Tails.

"I know, right," asks Amy.

. . .

We were then at Vanilla and Cream's hut. "Someone stole the Band-Aids," says Vanilla.

Stix then continued to sniff, and we continued to follow.

. . .

We followed Stix all the way to Amy's hut.

"Pretty impressive, Stix. You were able to follow the scent all the way here," says Tails.

"Nah. I followed the footprints. This sniffing thing is just for effect," says Stix.

. . .

We then entered the hut. "Well, at least everything looks to be in order," says Amy. She then sits on her couch, but then got back up. "Argh! My couch has been slimed!"

"Looks like our mystery robber snuck in here and napped on Amy's couch while she was away," says Stix.

A flushing noise is heard from the toilet. We then saw. "Woah, what up?"

"It's a Froglodyte," says Stix.

"Froglodyte, where?! Oh, you mean me. I'm not like those other guys, My name's Og. I come in peace, and stuff."

"Yeah, and you'll be leaving in pie-ces," I said, "oh, that sounds pretty harsh when I'm not talking to a robot."

"What are you doing here," asks Amy.

"Let me tell you, my story. Gather round the campfire," says Og.

Amy notices a fire has been started in the middle of her living room. "You started a fire in my living room," asks Amy.

"SSSSSSSSSssssssssshhhhhhhhh…"

Og's POV - Flashback:

The Froglodytes were all conformists, man. I don't know why, but I just never fit in. "Does anyone really think that this giant frog sculpture cares if we kneel? I'm just sayin'..."

. . .

"What is your major malfunction, tadpole? Get out there and fight," says the Sergeant.

"I'm sensing a lot of negative energy from you, man. Have you ever considered that maybe violence isn't the answer," I asked.

. . .

We all have to eat the same mystery slob. "Is there a vegan option," I asked.

. . .

Sonic: Wait, you're a vegan? But what about the food you took from Odette?

Og: She doesn't use real meat... and honestly, I don't think she uses real food.

. . .

I was miserable man, until a miracle came from above.

Sonic's POV - Present:

"So, I escaped to the surface," says Og.

Knuckles then slams his fist on the floor. "The door must've been destroyed when I helped Robotnik invade Knothole," says Knuckles.

"Awkward," says Og.

"You poor thing. I know just what it's like to be surrounded by spineless conformists all the time," says Stix.

"Just because you've had a difficult childhood doesn't give you an excuse to go breaking into places," says Amy.

"Oh, I'm sorry, man. No harm intended. I was starving," says Og.

"That doesn't explain why you took Band-Aids from Vanilla," says Tails.

"That lizard guy saw me and threw a shuriken at me," says Og, "I needed a Band-Aid!"

"Wait, how did you get to Angel Island," asks Knuckles.

"I'm a really good hopper," says Og, "and when these wolf and dingo guys tried to grab me, I hopped up here to escape!"

"Well, you can't stay here. It's gonna take me weeks to clean up all this slime," says Amy.

"You can stay with me so I can keep an eye on you," I said.

. . .

Og and I are at my hut. "I'm beat. I'm gonna catch some Z's," I said. I try to sleep in my hammock, but then Og started playing his pan flute. "You think you can do that some other time?"

"Oh, sure thing, sure thing." Og then starts to meditate. "All toads take the high road. All toads take the high road. All toads take the high road. All toads take..."

"Do you mind," I asked.

"Oh right, sorry," says Og. Og continues to make noises in front of Sonic while practicing martial arts.

Tails' POV:

Sonic dropped Og off with me. "Let me show you around my workshop. This is my Auto-adjuster 3000," I said.

"Couldn't you just adjust things manually," asks Og.

"Uh... I guess so, but take a look at this," I said as I picked up some more of my handheld gadgets.

"I'm telling you that stuff's gonna destroy us all. Just look at the Ancients. The Froglodyte Caves are littered with their 'techno-trash'. Mech suits everywhere, man," says Og.

"Wait, did you say mech suits," I asked, "I think we dealt with one of those. Anyway, this is just a can opener." I then pressed a button. The machine shakes and the lid on the can flies across the room, and it almost hits my head.

"The machines are turning against us, man," says Og.

Knuckles' POV:

Tails left the frog with me." Pretty rock," says Og.

"It's the Master Emerald," I said, "don't touch!" I then started punching a tree.

"Does that tree, like, owe you money or something," asks Og.

"I'm trying to get a coconut," I said. I was getting annoyed.

"No need to be so aggressive. Mother Nature's got a way, man. Be patient, and she'll provide you with what you need," says Og.

We then stared at the tree.

. . .

"How long has it been," I asked.

Og checks. "A whole day," says Og.

"Wait a minute..." I looked and saw the Lightning Bolt Society trying to take the Master Emerald. I then knocked those guys off the island. "I wasted a whole day out here thanks to you. Come on!" I then dragged him away.

Stix's POV:

Knuckles gave Og to me.

"Your friends are too caught up in their rules and their systems, man," says Og.

"Tell me about it," says Stix.

Sonic's POV:

"Amy tells me there's a froglodyte on Angel Island," says Sally.

"Oh yeah," I said.

Then Amy showed up. "The Froglodytes have invaded Angel Island," says Amy, "Sonic, how could you let Og do this?"

"Me?! I dropped him off with Tails," I said.

"Not my fault. Knuckles had him last," says Tails.

"I left him with Stix," says Knuckles.

"Og probably called the Froglodytes when Stix wasn't looking," I said.

. . .

I then arrived at Stix's burrow. "Stix, Og called his pals over to invade Angel Island," I said.

"Hey. Crazy baseless allegations are my thing," says Stix.

"They probably saw the island and hopped to it," says Og, "like how I got here!"

We then heard stuff. "Gotta go," I said.

. . .

All the Freedom Fighters were fighting the Froglodytes.

"Dude. You're giving Froglodytes a bad name. Well, worse name than Froglodytes," says Og. Some froglodytes surround him, but he picks up a broom and defends himself against two more Froglodytes wielding spears. He loses his broom but quickly rolls over to retrieve it. He kicks the broom into his opponents' feet and takes them down. He then jumps next to a ladder. As another enemy approaches him, Og whacks him with the ladder, along with two more froglodytes. He then throws the ladder and knocks out a line of enemies. He then spin attacks into the next two froglodytes and confronts the Froglodyte Drill Sergeant.

"You've gotten on my last nerve, tadpole!" The Sergeant uses his tongue to attack but Og grabs it in midair and tugs it towards him. He punches Sergeant up in the air, making him land in a heap of Froglodytes, knocking them all out. "Fall back! Retreat!" The Froglodytes then all leave.

. . .

"You know, Og. You really saved our butts today. Sorry I was such a buzzkill earlier," I said.

"But I thought you said you weren't a fighter," says Stix.

"Hey, I don't like fighting, but I'll do it for a righteous cause, and you are all pretty righteous," says Og.

"So... does that mean you're staying," asks Tails.

"Yeah, but I think I'm gonna get my own pad. These guys can be a bit much in large doses," says Og.

"Nah. You get used to 'em," says Stix.

In the next chapter, Sonic finds a mech suit.
