Rosepaw just finished treating Marigoldfoot when Eaglepaw limped into the bush, looking very battered

"What happened!" Rosepaw said like a queen checking her kit, "Are you okay?" She gasped when she saw how much blood her sister had on her pelt. "Ooh, that's a bad cut! How could any cat do this to an apprentice!?" Rosepaw wailed

"Don't worry, I'll look after Eaglepaw," said Willowpool. "You need to help the cats in the battle. Remember, only minor injuries. Look! There's Nightstride, go help him." She ushered Rosepaw away from her sister and towards the big tom. He had a cut on his flank and his shoulder. He looked at her and she could see the pain in his gaze.
"I can't move my shoulder without it hurting," said the big tom

"Let me get a look at the cut." It was not that deep, but she could see why it would hurt. She applied the usual marigold pulp to prevent infection, but the blood washed it away. "Here, let me put a cobweb on there." That seemed to do the trick. The bleeding stopped almost immediately. She made another pulp and rubbed. She put a few more cobwebs, just in case it started bleeding again.

"That should be good," she said. Though she felt a twinge of guilt. I should be fighting alongside my clanmates. She pushed the thought away. I'm more help here.

"Thanks," he said with gratitude and went back into the battle. Sprucepaw came limping up to her and her heart leaped. Do I have feelings for Sprucepaw?

"H-How can I help?"

"Yeah, my flank has a cut" he seemed to stutter, too.

She made more of the regular marigold pulp and put it on adding more cobwebs.

"We're running out of dock!" called Willowpool as she worked on warriors' scars.

"I can go fetch some," she shouted. Sprucepaw stiffened beside her.

"Then I'll come with you," he said, "You never know if ShadowClan is lurking. If it's okay with you." He ducked away, embarrassed.

"Of course," she meowed. She was delighted he offered, but she tried to hide it.

"Be quick," said Willowpool.

They padded along, side by side, into the forest "Are you going to become a medicine apprentice?" he said quietly

"If the clan will allow me."

"Oh." Sorrow clouded his gaze. She could imagine how hurt he was that he would never get to fight alongside each other. They didn't speak for the rest of the way. She collected marigold and helped Sprucepaw with the cobwebs. She also stopped by to get some dock and moss.

She arrived back at the bush, where even more cats were waiting to get treated.

"You better go back now," she whispered "And thank you."

"Yeah, no problem," Sprucepaw said as he walked away.

She went on treating, there were even ShadowClan cats who came claiming that their medicine cat didn't come. She treated them anyway, as it was a medicine cat's duty to treat all.

As she finished up on everyone, Pinestar came in yelling "WE WON, WE WON!" he yelled with the excitement of an apprentice.

Rosepaw twitched her whiskers in amusement. It was strange to see her usually calm and collected father yelling.

The cats in camp were startled when all their clanmates came barging through the entrance chanting "WE WON, WE WON!"

"Really!" squeaked Alderkit, she was Emberleap's second kit

"Yes little one, now we have to step back to let the strong working warriors rest."

"Alright," sighed the little kit, and they went back to their den.

"Everybody form a line for checkups" called Willowpool

I hope everybody's okay
