Present Day
DC Earth
Gotham City, early evening
"No plan of action survives contact with the enemy." Mari Jiwe McCabe aka Vixen could not help but think of this famous military quote while she battled with Manbat. Manbat alone she could have handled but not Killer Frost and least of all the Demon Lord Trigon! Luckily she wasn't alone. Raven had arrived to face down her fearsome father. The soul-absorbing sword wielder Katana and the Mistress of Magic Zatanna had pursued Killer Frost. All the heroes and villains were involved in one hugely destructive melee before they were joined by the Red Lantern and Green Lantern pair of Aya and Razor who swooped down from space. Luckily, Ginyu-Superman had devastated much of the world including Gotham City so there was not much left to destroy.
Unluckily for the combatants, the area where they fought was a weak point between universes caused by Towa's teleportation spell of twelve hours earlier. The already strained fabric of reality ruptured when deluded Hakai energy infused with temporal energy passed through it. Vixen, Manbat, Katana, Killer Frost, Zatanna, Razor, Aya, Raven, and even the mighty Trigon were nearly instantly vaporized. Roughly half their atoms were eradicated from existence.
Age 767
Dragon Ball Earth
The base of Korin's Tower, afternoon
Launch in a vain attempt to get stronger (and hopefully impress Tien) had begged Fortune Teller Baba to help her reach the top of Kroin's Tower. At least this was how the ancient witch saw things. "Ya know flying you up here violates all sorts of rules." Said the sister of Master Roshi.
"I don't care toots. I need to be more powerful if I'm gonna help out." Blonde Launch said.
"Sure thing Launch whatever you say. As long as I get paid I don't care. Hold on tight." Fortune Teller Baba said. She squinted up at the Lookout high above Korin's Tower. "Wait, what is that thi-," She never completed her sentence. A wave of deluded temporally infused Hakai energy traveled down the tower vaporizing Baba, Launch, Korin, and Yajirobe who were inside the structure.
Meanwhile, high above in the Lookout, Mr. Popo was at the threshold of the Room of Spirit and Time dealing with closing the sticky door. He managed to seal the door but not before he too was caught by the destructive energy wave. Inside the now-sealed chamber, the others were safe.
The Time Nest
"Sorry about the extra long wait. Things proved more complicated than I initially thought. Towa's attack did a tremendous amount of damage to the fabric of time in not one but two universes." The Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa said.
"Can I go back now?" Future Bra asked.
"Of course, you can," Chronoa said with a smile she then paused for a moment. When she again spoke her smile was gone. "Things will be different than you remembered, don't freak out, okay? To everyone else, things are perfectly normal you had best remember that." Chronoa chose her words carefully.
"How different?" Future Bra asked.
"Very different in some ways," Chronoa said.
"What about my timeline?" Future Bra asked afraid of the answer.
"100% unaltered, yet. Any changes will have to wait until you've played your part in the other timeline." Chronoa explained.
"Okay," Future Bra said.
"Remember, don't freak out no matter what you experience, promise?" Chronoa said.
"I promise," Future Bra said sensing there was no other choice.
"Good," Chronoa said clapping her hands. "Let's get you back."

Dragon Ball Earth
The Lookout
"I asked if you're okay?" Duluma said giving Future Bra a gentle shake.
"Ah, I'm okay." Future Bra said.
"You spaced out there for a minute, Future Girl." Said a well-built blonde man in a white T-shirt and camouflage pants.
"And I say your paralysis gaze won't work, Blue!" Vegeta said ignoring whatever issue their time-displaced guest was experiencing.
"It worked on you." Blue countered.
"Only for a few seconds before I broke free. The androids are stronger than the Cold Clan. I highly doubt your primitive technique would incapacitate them. Besides, you're too weak." Vegeta said.
"Want to try me, Prince!?" Blue challenged getting in Vegeta's face.
"Any day any time, you third-rate former general!" Vegeta said.
"Boys, boys, please," Duluma said with a sigh. "We have far more important things to worry about. Charleen, could your telekinesis affect the androids?"
"I don't think so. They are reportedly pretty strong. I can only manipulate people who are the same power level as me or who I catch off guard." The mime-like girl said softly. Charleen Queentzu is a restored timeline female fusion of Harley Quinn and Chiaotzu (see the last chapter for more details and a picture link).
"Useless as usual, Queentzu," Vegeta said with a smirk. "Remind me again why we keep you around?"
"Because I gave you a black eye when we first met," Charleen said.
"You didn't do anything, girl! You merely tossed me about with your feeble mind powers while your so-called 'big brother' sucker punched me!" Vegeta raged.
"Whatever you say, prince. Still, working together we gave you quite the shinner." Charleen said with a shrug. Although typically shy, Charleen detested Vegeta and never let a chance go by to get under his skin.
"That's enough. We need to work together." Tien said.
"Tien is correct. Let us work together." Starfire said.
"Sorry Tien, sorry Starfire," Charleen said. Vegeta gritted his teeth but said nothing further about the subject.
"We're getting nowhere. We need a plan." Carri said.
"Maybe if Future Girl provided us with more intel about our adversaries we'd have a plan by now," Blue said.
"I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Blue," Vegeta said.
"I've told you everything I can." Future Bra said getting defensive.
"Which isn't much," Blue said. "Fortunately, I know of only one man who worked for the former Red Ribbon Army capable of such creations, Dr. Gero."
"A man who went off the grid following the Red Ribbon Army's defeat. A man who we have been unable to locate for three years, assuming he's still alive. Either way, he's a ghost a phantom. Pursuing his trail is like grasping smoke." Duluma said."It doesn't matter. There is no time left. If my calculations are correct, tomorrow is the big day when the androids appear people will be in danger." Future Bra said.
"Despair not, all may yet come right," Kami said to his left stood the young Dende, and to his right stood his attendant Popanna.
"Maybe you could come down and help for a change, genie," Vegeta rudely suggested.
"Who, me?" Popanna said pointing at herself. Popanna is a restored timeline female fusion of Mr. Popo and Zatanna.
"Yes, you," Vegeta snapped. "The other two are too valuable to risk losing because of our Dragon Balls."
"FYI, I'm not a genie not exactly anyway." Said the navy blue-skinned top hat-wearing Popanna. "And, I cannot leave here. I've sworn to assist and protect the guardian of Earth at all times."
"Whatever you are you're annoying." Vegeta snapped.
"Aw, thanks Veggie Boy. I aim to please." Popanna said with a bow. She removed her top hat letting her long light purple hair flow freely.
"Annoying genie," Vegeta said glaring at Popanna who smiled back at him.
"Hi guys," Said a bubbly dark-skinned girl with vibrant long blue hair.
"Speaking of annoying," Vegeta said loud enough so everyone could hear.
"Did we miss much?" Krillin said his right arm was snugly around the waist of the dark-skinned girl.
"Nothing important, just Vegeta being Vegeta. You're good to go Krillin and Vivian." Blue said.
"Good, we didn't miss anything important," Vivian said. Vegeta scowled but no one paid him much mind. The happy-go-lucky Vivian is a restored timeline female fusion of Krillin's early DB Z girlfriend Maron and Vixen.
"Oh, your wife sent you lunch," Krillin said. He handed Blue a small picnic basket.
"I love that woman. Kendall is the best." Blue said after checking the basket and confirming all his favorites.
Future Bra felt her head swim. All these changes were overwhelming. Without warning she fainted.
Yankibe's Tower
"So, you've come for the sword, eh girly?" Yankibe said a white-furred humanoid feline. Yankibe is a restored timeline female tri-fusion of Katana, Korin, and Yajirobe.
"I have." Selo Dayle said. Selo is a restored timeline female fusion of Piccolo and Selina Kyle aka Catwoman (see the last chapter for more details and a picture link).
"What makes ya think you're worthier than you were last time?" Yankibe as she slung the blade over her right shoulder.
"I've changed. I've grown much since I was your apprentice. My allies and I have saved this world several times and the universe." Selo said.
"Have you, girly? You've given up on everything. You abandoned your studies with me and then you abandoned your studies with Kami. Face facts, you're a quitter and we'll always be a quitter. All the mystical potential in the world but not a shred of disciple." Yankibe said.
"I have my reasons," Selo said.
"Please, your only reason is freedom which equals laziness in this case. You have no discipline, girly, you never have and maybe never will." Yankibe said.
"I need Soultaker if I am to defeat the androids and save my friends," Selo said.
"What makes you think these androids have souls? If they are soulless, Soultaker will do nothing against them." Yankibe said.
"I have to try," Selo said.
"You and try aren't on speaking terms," Yankibe said with a laugh.
Enraged, Selo lunged at Yankibe who effortlessly sidestepped the sloppy attack with all the grace of a ballerina despite her curvy frame. The pair danced around each other for several minutes before Yankibe ended their encounter. Yankibe lured Selo to an open window and then hit the back of Selo's head with the butt of Soultaker. "Enjoy your climb back up! I'll be waiting if you return!" Yankibe said shaking her head she added. "Kids today never learn discipline."
Yankibe had placed a series of enchantments on her tower preventing fly-ups. People could fly by on their way to the Lookout but not enter the upper sanctum of her tower unless they previously reached it the old-fashioned way. The unworthy must be kept out for everyone's sake.
"I wish my enhancements prevented instant transmission arrival too. I hate Goku and Carri popping in unannounced." Yankibe grumbled.
Capsule Corp several hours later, early evening
"You can become a champ in life like me, Hercule Satan. Follow my patented sixteen-step plan." Hercule's voice blared over the monitor. His right hand pointed at the invisible audience. His left hand held a book with his smiling face on the front cover. "Send four easy payments of $49.95 to Sat-,"
"Sorry for subjecting you to such drivel. The man is a pretentious blowhard. I was unaware you'd regained consciousness." Dr. Kendall Langstrom said after turning off the monitor via a remote control. Kendall Langstrom is a restored timeline female fusion of Launch and Kurt Langstrom aka Manbat.
"I'm Dr. Kendall Langstrom primary physician for the Briefs Family and Capsule Corp staff physician. It is a pleasure to meet you. How do you feel?"
"I'm okay." Future Bra said.
"This entire situation must be exceedingly difficult for you given the circumstances," Kendall said checking her clipboard notes through her thick glasses. She brushed a stray strand of long silver-gray hair from her face.
"Why would you say that?" Future Bra asked from her position on a cot.
"Dealing with past iterations of your family must be tough," Kendall answered sympathetically.
"How do you-," Future Bra said.
"I ran a DNA test to search for any preexisting conditions which is standard procedure. The test confirmed your heritage." Kendall said.
"Don't tell me family about the results, promise, please." Future Bra said. She felt her body stiffen at the thought. She already had more than enough to deal with.
"I'm bound by my oath as a physician. Doctor-patient confidentiality forbids me from informing anyone of my medical findings without your expressed permission." Kendall said.
"Thank you," Future Bra said.
"Physically you have a clean bill of health other than a touch of malnutrition," Kendall said
"Eating healthy is hard where I come from." Future Bra said.
"Understandable," Kendall said with a hint of sadness. "Your fainting was caused I suspected by psychological issues rather than any physical ailment."
"Meaning?" Future Bra said.
"Meaning, for the good of your health you should work through these issues the sooner the better," Kendall said.
"I'll see what I can do." Future Bra said.
Unbeknownst to either woman their conversation was not private. Duluma stood on the other side of the slightly opened door listening intently. She had not intended to eavesdrop. She wanted to check in on her guest to see how the young lady from another time was doing. Now she did not know what her next move should be. Part of her wanted nothing more than to hug her future daughter and tell the teen everything would be okay but she knew Future Bra might reject her. Silently she slipped away.
Galactic Patrol Space Station
The once great wizard Moro was bored. His captivity here among the dregs of the universe had long since lost its novelty. He yearned for freedom.
"Hello, Moro," Said a hooded figure who seemingly appeared from nowhere. By the figure's side stood the diminutive Garlic, Jr grinning like a fool.
"Hmm, instant transmission?" Moro inquired about his primary visitor.
"After a fashion." The Hooded Figure replied in a voice that seemed oddly artificial.
'Its voice is certainly manipulated.' Moro mused. "Pardon me if I do not stand," Moro said indicating the heavy chains that bound him to his seat.
"A minor inconvenience." The Hooded Figure snapped the gloved index finger and thumb of his right hand. Moro's chains released falling away as if they were nothing.
"Impressive," Moro said. "Why are you here?"
"A proposal," The Hooded Figure replied.
"Propose," Moro said.
"I release you in return you teach me." The Hooded Figure said.
"Magic?" Moro said.
"No, something related but not magic. I know magic." The Hooded Figure said. "Or, I can leave you here after replacing your bounds. What will it be, Moro?"
"Who are you and who is your little friend?" Moro's eyes narrowed as he pointed at Garlic, Jr.
"Who we are doesn't matter, what we offer does. Do we have a deal, or not?" The Hooded Figure demanded.
"Very well," Moro said after some consideration. The Hooded Figure grasped his arm while Garlic, Jr, grasped onto the cloak of the Hooded Figure. The trio vanished in an instant. It was an hour before the guards discovered the infamous wizard Moro was missing from his cell.
The Phantom/Dead Zone
"Back so soon," Circe said. "And you brought a new friend I see. An animal man. I love animal men."
"The two of you will teach me, or I will put you back where I found you. Do you agree?" The Hood Figure said.
"I do not want to go back there," Moro said.
"Nor do I. I would have been consumed by the monsters of that realm had you not intervened," Circe said gesturing to her scarred neck.
"Stand close together," The Hood Figure said. Circe and Moro did as they were told.
The Hood Figure raised his left-hand palm open towards Circe and Moro. "Ultimate Fusion!" The Hooded Figure called out.
Before either spellcaster could react, they were enveloped in a blinding swirl of multicolored energy. When the maelstrom cleared, one female figure stood in their place. She had Moro's horns, claws, and sharp teeth but otherwise Circe's general appearance. Her clothing was a mishmash of Circe's and Moro's. Her neck bore no scar.
"I dub thy, Maeve queen of black magic." The Hooded Figure declared.
"What is your bidding, my master?" Maeve said dropping to one knee her head bowed low.
"Teach me how one may overcome all magic." The Hooded Figure said.
"Such study will take a long time a very long time," Maeve warned.
"I know," The Hooded Figure said. "I have all the time in existence at my disposal."
