13474: South Dakota and Phoenix both have earned 2 months of leave each and free ice cream for a year after successfully re-summoning Max!

"Admiral!" Phoenix's shout preceded her literally bursting through his door. It spoke volumes to the insanity he had to deal with that the only response Briggs gave was a groan.

"What is it Phoenix?" He asked.

The science girl couldn't keep still she was so excited. "WE DID IT!" She crowed. "We got her back!"

Now Briggs' attention was captured and he rose to his feet, circling his desk to face Phoenix. "You got who back?" He demanded, up in her face a crazy hope look in his eyes.

"Max! We know how to summon her!" Phoenix exclaimed. "SoDac is at the summoning chamber now."

Briggs needed no further encouragement to race out of his office through the same hole Phoenix made and headed down to the summoning chamber. Phoenix chuckled and followed at a more reserved pace.

By the time she arrived, the summoning chamber was filled with a band who was already playing. Briggs recognized the twang guitar that was country music. Then the lyrics came and he grinned. Max had loved this song, dancing to it every time it was played. She was guaranteed to hear it.

Down in the icy realm, Max heard the first strings of the song. Her song.

"I was making my descent, to the old BNA! "

She heard the call and her wings shook in excitement when she heard it.

"Gate number Three Concourse A!"

The Admiral needed her. Archerfish needed her! She had to come back.

"When on my radar, there I saw a wide bodied jet make me pitch and yaw!"

Runway cleared for takeoff!

"My Runway Romance at Gate #3. My Runway Romance, she runs away from me!"

The song ended with a flourish and as it did the breeze picked up even though they were in the basement several feet underground. "Please." Briggs whispered.

The chamber pool itself lit up, its waters rippling and then with a bright flash a figure appeared on the edge of the pool. She stood in a crouch but quickly straightened up. She was very lean with muscles rippling on her powerful shoulders. She was dressed in a dark teal outfit, short black shorts doing nothing to contain her figure. She wore running shoes. Her dark blue hair was pulled back in a ponytail and her skin was the classic "Washington white" as Admiral Richardson liked to say. A great contrast to the rest of the personnel in the summoning chamber.

Unlike most girls who were confused and sometimes frightened on their sudden change in environment, this girl seemed to know exactly what was going on. Her eyes fell immediately on Briggs and she stepped down from the chamber and offered a smart salute.

"Congrats Admiral, you figured it out. I was wondering if you ever would." She smiled.

"Max?" He asked, hardly daring to hope.

"It's me William." She spoke his first name softly, dropping his salute and approaching him. She placed both hands on his shoulders and kissed both cheeks soundly. "Where's Archerfish?" She asked.

"In your hanger." He replied, trying to hide his blush. Like all shipgirls Max was easy on the eyes. Her assets easily outweighed most of his cruisers and it seemed her time in the locker did nothing to dampen her sexual antics judging by the way she was teasing him.

Max nodded and took a step back. "Permission to go and see her sir?" She asked.

"Go ahead." He replied. "But take it easy. She's got one child in a cradle and a second on the way."

Max grimaced. She had no idea she had gotten Archerfish pregnant again. It must've happened just before she went on that patrol. Alicorn, their first born, had hardly known her 'father' either. She had a lot of catching up to do.

Archerfish did not expect the knock on her door. She had been largely left alone for the last few months. Reluctantly the submarine rose to her feet, preparing to give whoever it was on the other side an earful. She was not expecting what she saw. A beautiful teal outfitted girl with blue locks and amber eyes faced her. She was seriously ripped with bulging muscles on her pale arms. "Can I come in?" She asked in a beautifully soft and gentle voice. There were tears in her eyes as she looked Archerfish up and down. "You're pregnant again." She noticed.

"Yes I found out shortly after Max went down. Why do you ask?" Archerfish asked.

"I just, wanted to see how you were doing." She whined.

"Who are you?" This was the question Max was waiting for. She advanced on Archerfish, wrapped her arms around her and kissed her soundly.

Archerfish, after a moment's deliberation, pressed into it. "Max?" She asked, breathless.

"It's me, my love."

Archerfish did her best to entwine their tonsils at that moment.
