BOX

Izuku carried a cardboard box into class. When he set it on his desk, it rattled the entire room. Bakugo gazed upon the box with a feral, hungry expression.

"Jeez, Izuku, what do you have in there, bricks?" Kaminari asked.

"That is classified." Looking around, Izuku said, "I require urgent use of the restroom. I will not be back for a significant amount of time. Under no circumstance should any of you disturb the box."

Izuku walked out. The moment the door clicked shut, Bakugo pounced upon the box.

"Dude, Midoriya said to leave it alone!"

"Of course it wants that! This box contains the plans for the robot army's conquest of planet Earth! The fate of mankind depends on my unparalleled ability to unravel its mysteries!"

Kirishima grabbed the box. "Rummaging through peoples' belongings without their consent is super not manly!"

"Eight billion lives are on the line!"

As their tug of war match ensued, the tape holding the flaps together came undone. The box flew open, and everyone looked inside."

"A piece of string?" Mina asked. "All this, for string?"

"That's what the robot wants you to think. Watch!"

Before anyone could stop him, Bakugo pulled on the string. One flap of the box swung down, exposing a crossword puzzle. Most words were filled in, but four lines remained.

"Blank-ern lights. North! An American kind of hospitaltiy, five words… South! The sun rises to the… East, and Clint Eastwood stars in Western films. North, South, East, West… in that order…"

Bakugo found a little N inscribed on one side. Tapping the boxes in order, the bottom unfolded, revealing a three-dimensional glass maze. When Bakugo tried rolling the ball bearing inside, the ball fell through a hole, and Bakugo was forced to begin anew.

Bakugo yanked Ochako's hand and slapped it against the maze. The bearing floated, and Bakugo shifted the box around until the bearing entered the latch with a firm click. Metal latches held tightly onto another flap, but pressing Todoroki's cold side to them made them bend away, revealing a blank piece of paper tucked into the inside of the cardboard. Bakugo slathered Mina's face across its surface, and the faint trace of acid in her sweat exposed invisible ink, upon which was written, 'Planetary Excavator, hidden behind the seat of power."

"Nezu's office!" Bakugo bolted out the door. Just under Nezu's window, a massive drill rigged with explosives whirred away as it slowly sank into the ground. Bakugo yanked it out and hurled it into the sky, where it exploded into a million pieces.

"And once again, the world's saved!" Bakugo basked in imaginary applause. "No need to thank me."

As he marched back to class, the students turned towards Izuku watching from behind a tree. Ochako asked, "Why do you go through the trouble of making those?"

"Because it makes him happy, Izuku answered. "And it distracts him from our real plans."

And that was then the Roombas attacked and took over the world.

I guess you could call this an April fool's prank. If you squint a bit.
