Ayleen's POV

"Wait a minute the entire village disappeared overnight?!" Lydia exclaimed as I finished telling her and Derek what happened on Eowah Island.

"Yep is except for Pyung-hee, she plans on moving bless her heart"

Pyung-hee also mentioned to me and Yeon that she swore she heard a baby crying in the middle of the night as we slept. And the next morning everyone was gone.

"Do you have any hunches what sort of supernatural being that might have been on the island?" I asked Derek.

"Unfortunately no, but we're keeping an eye on things"

"How's that boyfriend of yours?" Lydia changed the subject. "How many times has he rescued you now?"

I rolled my eyes at her teasing.

"He's not my boyfriend but I won't deny he's hot"

Damn straight he's hot my wyvern agreed.

"I have yet to meet him but he sounds like a good guy" Derek added. "A nine-tailed fox is loyal to their mate and loves them unconditionally"

Lydia suddenly grabbed my phone.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" I protested as Lydia scrolled through my contact list.

"Make the first move cousin, ask him over for dinner or I'll do it for you" I hated the evil smirk on her face.

"Like hell, you will" I growled before I grabbed the phone away from her while blushing madly.

Come on we're both attracted to Yeon a meal is a good first start

You know what f**k it

Yeon's POV

"You bastard!" the old hag roared at me. "How dare you disregard the rules and murder a human!"

"That shaman? She looked like she was going to die any day"

"Regardless she wasn't on the List of the Dead"

"It was clearly an emergency" I reminded the old hag.

She sighed.

"They've already decided your punishment, what were you thinking?"

"I'll accept any form of punishment, so stop making it so obvious you're worried about me"

"Is it because of that dragon? You finally found her?"

I didn't answer because I was still unsure if Ayleen was Daenys. The two of them were exactly alike but yet Ayleen didn't have my marble. But Ayleen had the same voice, personality, and she also displayed the same aggression I experienced with Daenys in the past.

Talupia sighed again.

I didn't need her approval if Ayleen was Daenys's reincarnation I was going to make our relationship count if there was even one. And speaking of which my phone rang and my eyes went wide seeing it was Ayleen. I made a motion for the old hag to be quiet and she shook her head.

"Hello?"

"Hey fox what are you doing?"

"I was about to go eat"

"Bullshit, your not at a restaurant fox so I might as well cut to the chase, come on over and I'll make us something"

"Uh okay"

I then hung up and did my best not to smirk in front of the old hag.

Ayleen's POV

I hoped Yeon would like my spaghetti. It was a family recipe from the maternal side of my family along with the garlic bread. I also made salad in case Yeon wanted it. I heard the bell on my gate and my heart started to pound.

Get a grip I thought to myself as I made my way to the front door.

Yeon was wearing a white dress shirt with black pants. He looked perfect and he was hiding something behind his back.

"You look hungry, come on in" I greeted him.

"Starving actually" he confessed while I opened the gate. He closed it behind him and soon we entered my house.

"No way," he said when he saw the spaghetti and what not laid out on the table.

"Yes way, thought you might want to try a classic American meal, I don't cook much but this is from a family recipe on the maternal side"

"It looks and smells delicious" Yeon complimented. He then blushed before holding out his hand and in it was a Mockingjay pin.

"Since you like the "The Hunger Games" so much"

I thanked him and took the pin.

"I actually lost my old one so thank you"

I gave his cheek another kiss and this time he didn't protest as I placed the pin on the kitchen counter. I then joined him at the table and poured us some wine.

"Go ahead and eat don't mind me"

Yeon took a bite of the spaghetti and his eyes went wide.

"It's delicious!"

"Oh thank god I was worried you wouldn't like it"

"You should cook more this is really good"

I chuckled before digging in myself and true enough the spaghetti was delicious. The nine-tailed fox ate everything including the salad. He tried to do the dishes but I chased him out of my kitchen since he was a guest. I then made us some coffee, decaffeinated for me and caffeine for him.

"So this is where you write?" Yeon asked nodding at my desk where I had my laptop, notes, tablet, etc. We were in my living room.

"Yep but as of late my writer's block has been god awful"

I sat down in my recliner feeling defeated.

"I just have no idea what to write next"

"Something will come along that will inspire you to write, it just takes time"

"Now you're starting to open up to me fox"

"A little" he agreed. "Whoa wait a second I recognize this knife"

He found my replica of the dagger from Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.

"Careful with that one it's sharp" I warned him.

"It's well made, I didn't know you liked Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon"

"So you've seen the final season of Thrones?"

"Sadly yes"

The nine-tailed fox sat down on the couch.

"It could have had a different ending"

"Agreed I was Team Daenerys even when she scorched King's Landing"

"I pitied her actually" Yeon continued. "She lost two of her children, her friend, the man who was loyal to her until his death, and then the madness took hold"

"What do you think of House of the Dragon so far?"

"It's better and I'm Team Rhaenyra"

"So am I, and I'm not telling you how the Dance of the Dragons happens unless you've read "Fire and Blood"

"That book is too damn big"

I snorted at that.

"And you honestly think Jack Sparrow is better looking?"

"Jealous fox?"

Yeon didn't answer which confirmed my suspicions and I tossed a pillow at him.
