Ayleen's POV
"A morgue? Sure this is a perfect place for a walk, there's no one here and coffins everywhere"
"Sorry fox but I promised to help the two girls who found me last night, they even tried to help me when I didn't feel like myself"
Immediately my mate looked at me in alarm.
"Not yourself? What do you mean?"
"It was like the time on Eowah Island where I didn't feel in control of my body"
"Shit" the nine-tailed fox growled. He then placed a hand on top of mine. "I'm going to find out what's going on with you I promise"
Now he's being overprotective I thought.
So what it's hot my wyvern half teased.
Yeon gave me a smirk before letting my hand go and he approached a wall. He then banged his hand against it.
"Come on out"
Immediately the two ghosts from last night reappeared and they looked relieved to see me.
"Oh, a fox!
"A fox!"
I couldn't help but smile at their reaction to Yeon.
"Yes your right I am a fox, you there sisters come here"
The two sisters didn't move but Yeon reassured them it was okay. They did as he asked and Yeon proceeded to gently bop them on the head.
"You ghosts shouldn't be haunting the living but luckily my girlfriend wants to help you"
That got me to blush hard. It was the first time Yeon called me his girlfriend.
"You can talk to them now"
I nodded before taking my place before the sisters and bent down to their level.
"Miss, are you okay? We saw you fall"
I smiled at the older sister's concern.
"I'm fine now, what are your names?"
"Min-seo" the elder sister answered.
"Yeon-seo" the younger one added.
This is awful they died too young my wyvern said with sadness. I took out my phone and pulled up the article. It was about the two sisters and how they passed away. Their father hadn't been home at the time when they died.
"I'm so sorry this happened to you both and I want to help you cross over will you let me?"
"Yes miss!" the two of them replied and they both took my hand.
The two sisters led me to where I found their grieving father. The poor guy was slumped against the wall holding a child's backpack. As I bent down to the human male he looked up.
"Who are you?"
I gave the man a kind smile.
"I'm a friend of Yeon-seo and Min-seo, I'm very sorry about your loss sir"
"Thank you, I drive trucks for a living and can't come home often, my brother was watching the girls while I was away, but he had a job interview that day"
I nodded and looked at the backpack.
"There are cherries in that bag am I correct?"
This made the man smile a little before opening the backpack and he took out the container full of cherries.
"I paid a lot for these, but they refuse anything I buy them"
I took a cherry from the container and looked at it before glancing at the photos of the girls.
"Do you mind coming with me really quick? It's important"
Yeon's POV
The girl's uncle confessed to me all of his guilt. Satisfied I let go of the bastard and then looked to Ayleen who was with the devastated father.
"You bastard!"
"The police are on their way," my fiery one told the human male as she held him back. "Let them take care of this"
Ayleen's POV
Yeon-seo and Min-seo's father collapsed to the floor in tears. I went to the floor with him and placed a hand on top of his in a comforting manner.
"The girls didn't touch the cherries because they were too special to eat, it was a long-awaited gift from their father that was precious to them, and they loved you"
I placed one of the cherries into the grieving man's hand and he began to cry. Yeon-seo and her sister then bent down behind their father and touched him. Both girls shed tears and I did as well. A parent should never have to bury their children.
You did well today my wyvern praised me.
Our mate helped I reminded my other half
A bit later Yeon and I watched as the two sisters safely crossed over. They waved at me before disappearing and I felt at ease knowing they would be alright now. Yeon then barked at the other remaining kid spirits to go away. I gave my mate a glare at that one. Now the two of us were sitting down on a bench.
"You have a soft spot for kids fox"
"I do" Yeon agreed. He then looked at me. "But it was you who helped those two pass on"
"With your guidance"
It suddenly began to rain and I shot my mate an annoyed look.
"Are you doing this?"
"No"
I didn't know much about Nine-Tailed Fox folklore but I did remember something about rain. Yeon sighed before standing up and he opened his umbrella.
"Are you up for food and drinks? Because I'm starting to get hungry"
"You always seem to be hungry fox"
I then got up myself and got closer to him since I left my damn umbrella at home. Hell, I was actually clinging to him.
But Yeon didn't seem to mind sharing his umbrella with me and I didn't let go of him once as we walked through the rain.
"You don't like the rain do you?"
"No, I don't it ruins my fur"
"It's only water it bounces off of my scales easily"
"I'll gladly trade you my fur for your scales"
"And give up my wings and the ability to breathe fire, not a chance fox"
I then smacked him on the arm for even suggesting that. But instead of complaining Yeon only smiled and that alone made me blush.
"You called me your girlfriend earlier" I reminded him.
"Did I? Perhaps you misheard"
"I heard you loud and clear fox"
I then stopped and so did he.
"You once asked me why I was here in Seoul, it was to find you"
My face grew even hotter.
"Fate can be an interesting thing, but make no mistake I don't regret meeting you, and now that I have you fox, you are mine"
There was the possessive side. The one where I could tear any other female to shreds if they even dared to look, touch, or try to seduce my mate away from me.
My comment made Yeon smirk. He then pressed a kiss against my forehead and even though he wasn't going to admit it anytime soon, it was obvious I was his girlfriend.
About f***ing time my wyvern growled. Your are just as stubborn as our mate
I snorted and it wasn't long until Yeon and I were walking again and the two of us smiled.
