LOCATION: MIDORIYA RESIDENCE

The front door of the Midoriya apartment shut with an audible click. Before Izuku could go further, his mother crashed into him; bone-crushing hug at the ready.

"Izuku, where were you, I was so worr-". The sudden pause called Midoriya's attention down to his mother, only to be met with wide and shocked emerald eyes. It took a second to understand why she looked so dumbstruck. She was staring at his wings. To his surprise, she just stepped back and gestured for him to follow. Doing so without hesitation and a few moments later both Midoriya's were in the living room, steaming cups of tea in hand.

"Izuku" her voice was strained, "please tell me what happened, no details left out, no lies, and definitely use names"; her tone was more firm and there was no room for argument. Taking the deepest breath manageable, Izuku let the damn break. He told her how he and Katsuki had stopped being friends years and of the bullying mainly conducted by said boy, about how the teachers did nothing and sometimes even joined in. The scars he still has even with the new changes to his body. Of all the emotions he'd bottled up; a fierce resentment, but not hatred towards his offenders. Then finally about what transpired today. Inko was barely managing to keep it together throughout his... tale, though her first instinct was to smother him in the most affectionate way, she understood that he was still in shock and it would take more than a few minutes to realize just how much he'd been through. She inched her hand closer to his, making her movements obvious and noticeable, giving him ample time to pull away. Regardless of this, Izuku made no movement.

"Izuku, baby, I know I didn't say what you needed to hear back then". Her son's eyes widened considerably.

"I was scared that you didn't have a quirk, how you'd be treated for still wanting to be a hero. I said I was sorry back then, but I really wanted to say, what you needed to hear... was that you could be a hero. You weren't blessed with a quirk like others, but you still wanted to do everything in your power to help in anyway you could; that scared me, I thought you wouldn't come back one day. That was why I'd said I wished things were different".

Izuku stared, mouth slightly agape. To think that she'd really believed in him all this time was a weight off his chest to say the least. He didn't bother with words, they were most likely passed that point. He leaned in, wrapping his arms around his mother. The embrace was warm, a lot warmer than ones shared between the two before; Inko having to maneuver her arms into position where she wouldn't aggravate his wings.

Suffice to say, a lot of tears were shed in the Midoriya household that evening. The neighbors below them had come up at one point to see what was going on, simply because the roof was starting to drip and wondered if there was a leak or something of the sort. After reassurances that everything was fine, both mother and son burst into much needed laughter at the prospect.

A few minutes later, a rather obvious problem had presented itself; Izuku didn't have any viable clothes that came with mutation quirks in mind. He hadn't needed them before for obvious reasons, his mother had assuaged those worries, saying they could shop for clothes the next day. They'd also fill in an order for a new gakuran with his wings in mind. It was a Friday after all, and even though they weren't rich, they were relatively comfortable because of Hisashi's work abroad and his mom's part time job.

All things concerning clothing aside, he'd need to set up a regime to train his new powers and his body further. He already had an instinctual understanding of the basics of everything concerning his quirk, being able to create simple constructs out of light and barriers too; although he'd have to test his flight in a more open space that wasn't his room.

With everything in as much order as it could be and after a satisfying dinner of katsudon to celebrate. Izuku turned in for the night.

TIMESKIP: SUNDAY

LOCATION: TAKOBA MUNICIPAL BEACH

Izuku stood on the sandy, trash filled shore of Takoba. It was honestly a lucky find in his opinion. He'd gone down an internet rabbit hole of places that he could use and was mostly looking for closed down factories and abandoned office buildings, places that no sensible or respectful person would go to on their own accord. Refocusing on the orb of light currently floating above his palm. Putting just a bit more energy into it made the orb explode into a shower of light, a golden shimmer lasting for just a second after.

Letting out a groan, Izuku flopped onto the sand, pondering on his situation to try to puzzle out what he was doing wrong. 'I have enough power, maybe too much and not enough control? Or maybe the problem is that I'm trying to put too much power into it. It does feel like I'm for-'.

"WOW! That was so cool!" The shout jostled the winged boy out of his musings. Looking to the direction of where the voice originated, freezing for a moment when his eyes finally landed on the person. Said boy was staring right back at him, dressed in a grey muscle shirt and black cargo shorts that highlighted his toned, muscular physique quite nicely; leaving almost nothing to the imagination.

"Uhm, thanks I guess?" The supposed gratitude came out as more of a question than anything.

The silence stretched on for more than a few moments, emerald staring into onyx. There's a slight breeze that picks up, blowing some stray particles of dust that brushed against both their noses; they let out sniffles and then sneezed at the same time as if it was a practiced art. The tension seemingly broken by the impromptu duet, the taller boy walked over and stretched out a hand while introducing himself.

"Hey there! My name is Inasa Yoarashi, it's very nice to meet you..." He trails off, giving Izuku the chance to do the same.

"Yeah! Izuku Midoriya, it's a pleasure to meet you too". With a firm shake, the prominent awkward silence was no more. Remembering his question, Inasa inquired about the orb he'd seen earlier, which led into a conversation about quirks and heroes of the like. After a few hours of amiable chatter and exciting topics of speech, the two eventually separated, going to the own homes respectively, a new contact in their list of friends; or in Izuku's case, his first.

TyphoonOfChaos and SpawnOfSatan are online.

TyphoonOfChaos: YOUR USERNAME IS VERY MISLEADING

SpawnOfSatan: It's supposed to be, I love chaos.

TyphoonOfChaos: I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK

SpawnOfSatan: Same here!

SpawnOfSatan: Btw, what you were doing in Musutafu if you live Yamanashi

TyphoonOfChaos: On the hero news they said All Might was in your area

TyphoonOfChaos: Apparently there was some kind of sludge villain going around and robbing stores. The local heroes said that he was too fast for them and All Might came outta nowhere to stop the guy. Some people say that he's still on the run though.

SpawnOfSatan: I MISSED MY CHANCE TO MEET ALL MIGHT AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW?!

TyphoonOfChaos: Damn, that's gotta be tough dude.

SpawnOfSatan: You're never gonna let me live this down will you?

TyphoonOfChaos: NOT A CHANCE!

SpawnOfSatan: Ugh

SpawnOfSatan: I do have to go now though, it's getting pretty late and we're both going to school tomorrow

SpawnOfSatan: Night

TyphoonOfChaos: GOODNIGHT!

MONDAY

LOCATION: CLASS 3C

The class was its usual rowdy after the weekend, students out of their seats talking to friends about what they did and other topics. As soon as the door opened and Izuku stepped in, a deafening silence rang out. Some stared gaping, others quizzically, like they didn't recognize him. One Bakugo Katsuki took the initiative.

"Who the hell are you?!"

Wincing a bit at the volume, Izuku recovered, staring blankly at him. Little did Izuku know that his appearance had changed so drastically, even though it didn't seem like much to him. His hair was much longer, pale yellow streaks hidden in the green. His eyes were now mismatched, the right eye staying a vibrant green but the left was now a golden yellow. Due to this and other factors, which most likely were the large pair of wings that thankfully would fit between the columns of seat and the gravity-defying halo that sat atop his head, he was nigh unrecognizable.

Izuku's eyes flashed with realization, and as he spoke, the fight slowly drained out of Katsuki, whose face now held a bemused look. There was no mind paid to it though, expressed by the actions of Midoriya, when he walks past his bully to his seat right behind said boy. Not long after the teacher walked in and began the class; if he noticed the seemingly new student that sat conveniently in Izuku's seat, he didn't say anything.

The week passed by rather slowly for the winged teen. His classmates and pretty much anyone who'd seen him in the hallways pestered him for details about his quirk, how he got it, why it took so long to manifest and a bunch of other questions that he didn't want to answer. He'd given the bare amount of information and just told them that he could fly and manipulate light, not bothering to elaborate further and leaving the conversations at that.

He would be meeting up with Yoarashi on Thursday at the beach, which they'd decided to start cleaning it up. His mother was delighted he'd made a new friend, which he was a lot more nervous about, which the reason wasn't hard to figure out if you considered the boy's passionate attitude, kind nature and that bright smile of his. A light dusting of pink crept up Izuku's cheeks, although he was able to calm down enough, right before he heard someone call him.

"MIDORIYA, HEY!"

"Hi Yoarashi, how are you?"

"I'M DOING VERY WELL, THANK YOU FOR ASKING!"

Izuku shook his head fondly, the other boy was as boisterous as ever. Over the week, the two had gotten to know each other better through text and sometimes hanging out after school. The pair had decided that they would clean the beach, which was meant to help Izuku build some more muscle and it would basically be public service which was also part of a hero's job, although many of them didn't really do it much in this day and age.

"Do you wanna get started now? I brought some snacks for us if we get hungry"

"SURE"

Another orb of light exploded, it was followed by a grumble from Izuku. He'd been trying to make small spheres of light maybe to use as attacks, he could already form objects. It made sense he'd be able to make simple spheres. Inasa walked over, inquiring what the problem was. A sigh escaped Izuku's lips and he told his friend about the obstacle he couldn't seem to get past.

"Maybe you have too much power concentrated in one area"

The other teen looked up to the taller boy, silently asking him to elaborate.

"When I make wind, I make sure not to focus on one area so that the whole attack won't be lacking in the power department, it might be the same for your light. You're placing more power in the center right?"

Izuku nodded, seemingly following along

"Try to spread it out more, it doesn't have to be even, just try not to let it build up too much in one space"

Izuku tried again, taking heavy consideration of the advice his friend had given him. He formed the core that had become so familiar to him as of late, layering it with more of light and before he got to the point where he know it would explode, he visualized smoothing out the energy in the orb 'like buttering toast', he thought absentmindedly. Before he knew it he had a stable orb sitting, or floating rather, above his palm. He let out a soft gasp when he opened his eyes, not realizing he'd closed them to concentrate and mentally celebrated his breakthrough. He let it dissipate and practically threw himself at Inasa, hugging him tightly.

"THANK YOU, you have no idea how long I've been trying to figure that out!" The much taller boy stood stock still, the sight would be quite comical, but the thoughts running through Inasa's mind would paint a whole different picture, something a teen shouldn't be thinking about.

TIMESKIP: 4 MONTHS LATER

LOCATION: OUTSIDE MISAKI MOVIE THEATRE

Inasa and Izuku were walking down the busy street, chatting about the movie they'd just seen.

"I honestly didn't think the protagonist would go ahead with becoming a villain!" Izuku exclaimed, his expression was a bit aghast, but otherwise he was excited about the conclusion. His wings may have been folded up at the time, but it didn't stop them from perking up from their position, apparently reacting to his emotions.

"I KNOW RIGHT, BUT THEN AGAIN, IT"S KIND OF UNDERSTANDABLE!" Inasa replied, just as surprised, if not more than his feathered friend.

The two had become close within the past few months and were basically two peas in a pod. Izuku's mother had been overjoyed when he'd told her about Inasa. He couldn't stop the gentle smile that tugged at the edge of his lips when he thought about it. He was pulled from his inner thoughts when he stumbled into Inasa's side, at the same time, what sounded like the cry of a little girl came from his left. Neither of them noticed a pair of golden eyes glaring from the alley.

Hello frens, very sorry for the late update, I figure I'll be uploading once or twice a month and on rare occasions maybe three.
