Hello frens, hope you enjoyed the last chapter, I debated having Izuku meet Eri earlier than in the anime, it's not original but I think I may be able to make this situation more unique, Enjoy!

LOCATION: OUTSIDE MISAKI THEATER

Izuku and Inasa stared down at the girl. Her pale grey-blue was seriously matted and dirty, there was a decently long horn protruding from the upper right corner of her forehead. The dress she was wearing, if you could even call it that, looked like an old and faded hospital gown. There were bandages wrapped round both her forearms and on her shins. All in all(with no offense to the girl of course) she probably needed more than one bath for her to count as clean.

The winged boy crouched to the unknown girls height, worry evident in his mismatched eyes and a hand hovering just above her knee, as if waiting for her to tell him he had permission to touch her; something that seemingly wasn't needed, when she barreled into Izuku when a voice came to fruition.

"Eri". It wasn't cold per se, but it definitely wasn't a tone you'd use calling a frightened child.

The little girl, supposedly name Eri, clung onto Izuku's clothes. The fabric was balling up in her small hands, gripping him like a lifeline. Inasa, sensing that this probably wouldn't go as expected stepped in front of his best friend and the girl who didn't want to let go. The man stepped out of the alley, a glare carefully hidden behind a worried mask. The teens saw through it immediately, with them knowing all-too-much about faking emotions. Both thought it would be of use in hero work once upon a time, but looking back on it, there were definitely situations where it would be needed.

The man that walked out had dark brown hair, thin eyebrows that made his smaller than normal eyes stick out more. He wore a black dress shirt with a grey neck tie. Over the shirt was a dark green bomber jacket lined with a purple fur collar. The hands were covered with white surgical gloves, and a magenta plague doctor mask with gold tips covered the lower part of his face. Izuku studied the man closely yet discreetly; making sure to store every detail about him. He took note of the gloves that the stranger wore; 'his quirk probably requires contact with his hands, most likely not five point contact if the gloves are any sign but it's still a possibility if he's able to control when it activates'.

The analysis was a lot shorter than he would usually make it, but he can't play on the chance of muttering out loud. He may have gotten a better handle on it in the past few months but it's not a risk he's willing to take. He creates a small orb Inasa will be able to feel on his back, a small ruffle of his feathers a few times is all he needs to know his friend is aware. The man's face is becoming less impassive by the minute so he'll have to hurry.

Izuku makes another orb, a little brighter than the first so as to be more noticeable, floating innocently, just a few inches behind the man's hand. The tense silence is broken by Inasa asking if the man knows the girl despite him calling to her earlier.

"Of course I do, she's my daughter after all", he speaks again, it gives a sense of foreboding, like a predator going to strike if provoked.

The stare down continues and Izuku finally feels his feathers being ruffled again by Inasa's wind. 'he got the message, so all we have to do now is get a hero or an officer at least; the block is still pretty busy and someone will notice something's wrong soon, if he attacks first we'll also be in the able to retaliate in self defense'.

"You two don't look alike at all", Izuku speaks, not really in charge of his mouth at the moment, although it's not something he usually does, this time the reward turned out a lot better than expected.

The man's thin brows furrow in clear annoyance, "She takes after her mother".

Izuku can see the logic in that statement, he and Katsuki looked a lot like their mothers, but they both still have at least one trait from their fathers too.

"Plausible, but there should be at least one trait that you share" he snaps back. There's some motion at the corner of his eye, he looks up from the shaking girl, eyes widening as the glove originally on his left hand is held in the right. He can't stop the words from spilling out, "face it, you're not a very good actor". A burst of movement and the man is lunging towards Inasa, his hand outstretched.

Izuku's eyes widened further, heart racing faster, he couldn't believe it, he'd always wanted to protect, anyone he thought of as family, as a friend. One of those people was right in front of him, most likely about to die, and he was doing nothing about it. He wished they were somewhere safe, warm, and comforting. Something flashed, yellow and bright, and before he knew it, they were back at his apartment, specifically in his room. All three of them were in the same positions on the sidewalk. He felt a bit drained, not by much, but it was still noticeable.

Inasa slowly craned his neck back at him, he met his friends eyes. A silent conversation only beginning was suddenly interrupted by the small sob that came from Eri.

"I-i'm really sor-sorry"

The teens felt an uncomfortable tightness in their chests. Izuku swayed a bit, whatever he'd done to get them out of danger had clearly drained him. Despite the fact he was most likely gonna pass out, he placed his hand on Eri's head gently. Noticing the new weight on her head she looked up to see the smiling face of the literal angel that saved her, uttering the words that she would remember for as long as she lived.

"It's fine, but you did nothing wrong, I'm just glad you're okay Eri". He'd said those last words before promptly slumping to the floor, a gust strong enough to cradle his upper half coming to existence so he didn't hit his head. The girl looked almost panicked. Before she could spiral, a comically large hand gently laid itself on her all-too-small shoulder. The girl jolted, looking back to her other savior.

"He'll be fine, just need to sleep for a bit. In the mean time we need to tell Mrs Midoriya what happened". The tall boy looked back down to Eri, her face still set in a worried frown. Squatting down, Inasa hoisted the winged teen into his arms, walking over to the bed and placing him down. They'd have to figure out how Izuku was able to get them to safety when he woke up.

LOCATION: SHIE HASSAIKAI HIDEOUT

"DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT. After all the progress we've made, losing her to some snot-nosed brats was the worst thing that could happen". Kai Chisaki, more commonly recognized by his alias, Overhaul, yelled. They'd just lost one of not their most prized assets. A person of a much shorter stature stood a few feet away from his boss; a man of muscle that have muscles of their own with messy light brown hair standing beside the midget.

"Boss, isn't happy". The baritone voice quipped

"Really Rappa, I couldn't tell". Sarcasm was radiating off of the man in waves.

LOCATION: HATSUME INDUSTRIES, US BRANCH

Hisashi Midoriya was a simple man. He made good money at his job to send back to his family in Japan, making sure to video call at least once a week with them so they could catch up. The first time he saw Izuku, he'd nearly choked on his own spit. His son look. Different. Inko had assured him in private that, it was in fact their son and not an imposter.

He hadn't really cared that Izuku was quirkless, and he made sure to address the matter with his wife. The tidbit that the company he worked for had given him an overseas contract didn't help prove his case, but hell would freeze over before he even entertained the thought of abandoning his son for something that was out of his control.

The only reason he was thinking about this now was because he'd finally be able to go back to the Japanese Branch of Mei Industries. He would be able to finally see his family after a whole decade, to say he was excited would be an understatement.

Sorry for the short chapter, it was pretty much supposed to filler before the plot could go further. I'll be adding a few fillers in between as little breaks or just for fun since I'm still deciding how I want this to go.
