Senran Kagura: After Arkanum – Ange Ark Nova – Chapter 0: Prologue Part 1: The Next Plan

Ange Ark Nova stood in her office as she waited for her followers to come and enter while watching the snow falling from outside of her window. She had just recovered from her recent fight with a hunter, Alan Hellwalker, and a Good Shinobi turned renegade, Asuka. Two Good Shinobi guards stood by both sides of the door both standing guards. Then, the sound of the door opened was heard before there were sounds of five footsteps coming in, hinting that they had arrived, before they stopped and waited for Ange to respond.

"Guards," Ange ordered, "Leave us."

Doing as they were told to do; the guards began walking out of the door to leave them be before they closed the door. As soon as they were gone from sight, Ange's followers, Amanda Sunfield, Sebastian Van Scarlet, Victor Kresnik, Lucy Osborne, and Ryan Harway, began to kneel before their leader and nodded their heads down to show their sign of respect for her.

"You called us, boss?" Amanda asked.

"We're here as you've asked." said Sebastian, "What is thy bidding, our great leader?"

Ange turned around to face her followers before she said, "Rise, my followers."

They obeyed and rose on their feet, before Ange began, "The hunter, Alan Hellwalker, and his comrades of other hunters and Evil Shinobis had infiltrated our territory a few days ago. For what reason for Alan Hellwalker to do so, I do not know myself, but for the other hunter, Lawrence, well…Hehehe…I already came well prepared for that in case hunters like him does return to infiltrate our base." She looks to Victor and Ryan and said, "Thanks to Mr. Kresnik and Ryan, the two Good Shinobi council members, the parents of that Evil Shinobi renegade Homura, have already evacuated and left the city early before Hellwalker and his friends got here, leaving behind their shadow clones here at our city so that they could fool any infiltrators who spies on us, along with all the money that the council requires for funding and for supporting our group financially. Which means that Homura's parents are still alive and holding onto the council's and our funding and the valuable jewelries, while we left behind all the exact same copy of the money and jewelry that we have and require. In short, what the money and the jewelry that they had stolen was actually fake cash, counterfeiting money, and fake materials of stones and jewels. And you two have certainly done a very good job of escorting the council members safely back to the city."

"Thank you, Ange." Victor bowed.

"We merely just followed your orders and instructions." Ryan bowed.

"Uh, boss?" Amanda raised her hand up for questioning, "No offense, but wouldn't shadow clones just suddenly die out with a single touch or something? Also, wouldn't those hunters just be able to tell the difference between a real person and a clone?"

"For your first question, yes. For your second, it is based on sight and sense of smell, yes." Ange answered, "But, the council and I came well prepared for it." Ange went to her desk and opened up her drawer before taking out some things out, a piece of paper with Japanese writing on it and a bottle of white substance, and placed the bottle on the desk while holding onto the paper to show it to her followers.

Sebastian was the first to speak up as he recognizes the paper that Ange was holding as he said, "An Ofuda, a paper talisman seal…"

"Precisely." said Ange, "With this talisman, I was able to place them onto the shadow clones' bodies so that the clones could last for as long as deemed necessary, so to touch and feel them without worrying about them disappearing instantaneously, like a normal shadow clone would." Ange then put down the paper before picking up the bottle and added, "And, with this substance that I had made with alchemy that contains the odor of normal humans, I poured it all over the clones so that they may be smelled as that of normal humans, so savages like Alan and his hunter friends, when smelling their scent, wouldn't be able to tell the difference based on what they smell like, and when using their sight, or rather their vision ability, they would see only the same colors that they would normally see on the real people. And it also helps that the clones' personality is closer to that of the real ones, so that's an added bonus."

"Ahhh." said Amanda, now understanding, "Nice."

"And the fake money and jewels that they stole, madam?" Lucy asked.

Ange went to her desk drawer again and took out two bottles of substance, this time one color was green and the other was gold, before opening them and handing them to Lucy and said, "Here, smell these substances and tell me what they smell like to you."

Lucy obeyed and took the bottles and began to smell the one with green substance, before she answered, "It smells like money." Then she went and did the same with the gold one before she answered, "And this one smells like gold and jewels."

"Exactly." said Ange, "I had poured these substances onto the fake cash and the fake jewelry so that when they use their sense of smell, they would only smell like cash and gold to them. They won't even know that the money and the jewelry that they had just stolen was all fake. Those monsters are so easy to fool with what resources that we have that we could use against them." Ange then went to her laptop and opened up the security footage, or what was left of the security footage before it got destroyed by an unknown assailant, and said in a tone sounding both concerning and disappointing, "Although, I did not anticipate that there would be other infiltrators other than Alan Hellwalker and his friends, and they even killed off the shadow clones of Homura's parents, as well." She closed her laptop and said, "We were only lucky that they had only kidnapped and killed the clones and not the real members of the council, otherwise it would've been disastrous for the Good Shinobi council and the Good Shinobis as a whole, and not just for us Gallowglass."

"Indeed." said Sebastian.

"So then, what's our next move?" Ryan asked, "Do you have a plan?"

"I do." said Ange, "But before that…Mr. Scarlet?"

"Yes, Great Leader Ange?" said Sebastian.

Ange walked towards Sebastian and said, "Is everything alright with you? You seem to be in…distress lately, my friend."

Sebastian's body tensed when she said that something was wrong, before he calmed himself down and said to her in what sounded to be as reassuring as possible, "It's nothing. I'm…fine, Great Leader Ange."

Ange, however, did not seemed convinced, as she placed a hand on his right shoulder and said to him, "Are you now? Your power, and your anger, your rage, all of your negative emotions and feelings for those you hate radiates like a raging whirlwind, and yet…all of it seems to be…unfocused, somehow…" Ange glanced to her right side and corrected herself, "No…it's not unfocused…rather, it's hidden…could it be that…you're trying to hide your rage from me?"

Ange didn't need to hear him to know the answer as Sebastian looked away from her with gritted teeth, as if he was being ashamed of himself, which was all the answer that she needed, before she asked with a slightly darker tone, all while squeezing his shoulder a bit roughly, "Why? For what reason do you have to hide your anger from me? Unless…"

The other four looked at him in both curiosity a bit of shock as they wondered Sebastian's reasons as well. But Ange caught on quickly as she smirked and said as she removed her hand from his shoulder, no longer squeezing it and freeing him from the bit of pain she gave him, "Ahhh…I see…so that's what this is about. Your long attachment with the former lady that you once served as her butler, but ran away because of what you had turned into. Ikaruga, was it?" Ange walked to look through her window and added, "You're angry at Alan Hellwalker for involving her into the mess that he himself was brought into with the Hebijo group and the hunter, Oliviera, that they work with. But at the same time, you're angry at me for not allowing you to go and interfere with their battle, as I ordered you to just stand and watch how it would all turn out. But most of all, you're angry at what had happened to Ikaruga afterward. Is that why you chose to take the unused vial of the nameless one blood that I had made with my alchemy skills and leave to go to Hanzo Academy, and without my permission no less?"

The other four looked at him in shock from what they had just heard from their leader, before Lucy and Ryan said angrily and simultaneously, "You did what?!" "Dude, what the fuck?!" They looked as if they were about to attack Sebastian before Victor raised an arm and blocked their way to stop them, and then shook his head no, telling them not to interfere with them, and upon seeing that, Lucy and Ryan begrudgingly relented and stayed put, although they still looked as if they were about ready to attack him for going on his own without letting their great leader know and without permission.

"No, not at all." said Sebastian, "I just thought that since everyone within our group now has immunity to the infection, we had no need for it, and I thought that I should deliver it to someone else to make them feel better if they needed it. And since Ikaruga was sick, I thought she needed it in order to help make her feel better. That is all there is to it."

"Is that so?" Ange asked, "Getting into Hanzo Academy would've been no easy feat, and yet you infiltrated the school without any single problem. You could've easily gathered any information you could find regarding hunters taking shelter within the schools of Good Shinobis, and yet, you didn't. All because of your…attachments, is it not?"

Sebastian looked away from Ange, who smirked at him before she said to him, "Well then, if you are so angry with me for not allowing you to help the one you love, why wait at all?" She brought both her hands out and raised them to both her sides as if she was making herself opened for Sebastian to strike her, as she said loudly for him to hear, "Well, what is your hesitation for, Mr. Scarlet?! You hate me, don't you?! Give in to your rage! Give in to your anger! Strike me down where I stand!"

Amanda and the others gasped and looked at Sebastian, who stood face forward, and waited and watched with caution from what he was about to do to their great leader, and were prepared to defend Ange if she needed it. But before anything could happen, Sebastian responded with calmness in his voice, "No. I have no such wish to kill you, Great Leader Ange."

Hearing that answer from one of her best warriors and followers, Ange growled in pure anger and frustration, before as fast as lightning, she drew out her sword, her longest katana blade, out of her sheathe and aimed her edge of her sharp blade close to Sebastian's neck; the latter didn't even flinch from that, while the others who were watching flinched and back away in fear, before Ange shouted at him angrily, "PATHETIC! HOW PATHETIC OF YOU! YOU, SEBASTIAN VAN SCARLET, ONE OF THE MIGHTEST WORRIORS IN GALLOWGLASS AND ONE OF MY GREATEST FOLLOWERS, ALL CRIPPLED BY YOUR OWN MELONCHOLY AND INDECISION, ALL BECAUSE OF YOUR DAMNNED ATTACHMENTS TO THE GIRL AND TO YOUR PAST!"

"I have no such attachments, nor do I have such connections to my past anymore." said Sebastian calmly, "The man once called Sebastian Van Scarlet who once served the family as a butler of the Phoenix Conglomerate had already died long ago. He was a weak man, and I had already destroyed him."

"OH, DID YOU NOW?!" Ange shouted, "AND YET THE POWERS AND SKILLS OF THE DEAD MAN HAD COMPLETELY DWARFED YOURS, DID THEY NOT?!"

Sebastian didn't say a word and only gave Ange a glance at her, as Ange kept the edge of her long blade close to his neck, before she tilted her head and said now calmly, "No?" She then pulled her sword away and placed it back into her scabbard before she approached Sebastian and said to him, "It is the duty of all Good Shinobis to protect the world from those that dares to conspire against the peace of our world. To find and eliminate all Evil Shinobis and hunters that dare to threaten to destroy everything and take everything away from all the good and innocent people, including the Good Shinobis. To eliminate all those who would bring the worst in us. To eliminate all our enemies and our rivals, is it not? So, you tell me, Mr. Scarlet, who are the ones responsible for all the crimes, all the destruction, chaos, and catastrophes in the world, going against the Japanese government, the law, and everything the Good Shinobis stand for?"

When Sebastian didn't answer, Ange growled and said to him immediately, "It wasn't a rhetorical question, now answer me!"

For a few moments, Sebastian didn't say anything, before he sighed and, although he already knew the answer, he answered, "The Evil Shinobis, ma'am."

"And who are the ones responsible for turning good and innocent people into those disgusting savage monsters called hunters?"

"Yōmas."

"And who are the ones responsible for separating those monsters from the very people they all knew and love? And then becoming the very things who are hellbent on killing every innocent people, destroying everything and everyone they see, including the Good Shinobis, who they make suffer at their hands until they either die or become just like one of them?"

"Hunters."

"And who are the ones that're blindly helping those said monsters, being manipulated into doing their biddings and foolishly keeping those monsters from the people who're supposed to kill them to protect the world?"

"The Good Shinobis who're deemed traitors and blindly believes in unity between shinobis and hunters when there's no such thing as unity, when humans and monster cannot coexist with one another."

"And who're the ones that the Good Shinobis must eliminate no matter what, in order to bring peace to our world?"

"Both Evil Shinobis and hunters, no matter the cost."

"And, who are we, Mr. Scarlet?" Ange asked, "Who are we and what is our propose in this world?"

"We are Gallowglass, an organization whose sole purpose is to protect any and all Good Shinobis in the world from the likes of those who conspire against them and the shinobi laws." Sebastian answered, "And to find and kill all Evil Shinobis and hunters who would dare try to kill our Good Shinobi brothers and sisters for whatever selfish and evil acts they plan on doing, to prevent others from being turned into one of them and be forced to separate from the Good Shinobis, to save our Good Shinobi brothers and sisters who have lost their family and friends and honor because of those monsters, and even eliminate the Good Shinobis turned traitors who would choose to side with the Evil Shinobis and hunters out of blindness and manipulation from their words, or be turned into one of them."

"Good." Ange nodded, before she looked at him and asked, "And, tell me, who stands in the way of the Good Shinobi and the laws and everything that is necessary for peace? No, I think we already went over that. Rather, who stands in YOUR way, Mr. Scarlet?"

"Um…I-I'm sorry?" said Sebastian, confused.

"I'm asking you WHO is standing in your way, Mr. Scarlet?" Ange asked again, "And I don't mean the Evil Shinobis and hunters. I mean, who stands in your way right now? Who is holding you back? Keeping you subjected as a slave and slowly decrepit as a broken man who lost everything, keeping you separated, away from the people that you once knew and love? Well? Anyone?" Ange gave Sebastian a sharp glare as her golden eyes glowed from the moonlight and said, "If so, then the only way to eradicate the enemies before you are to use your anger, your hatred, your rage for your enemies against them. Your hatred for Evil Shinobis and hunters, your rage for them, your anger for them! Even the one standing before you right now, the one who is keeping you a prisoner of following commands. So, Mr. Scarlet…use them, use them against your enemy, now."

Sebastian stood as he was as Ange waited for him to make his move, to draw his weapon and strike her down where she stood. To use all of his negative feelings and emotions against her. He stood in a hesitating thought for a moment, wondering and doubting whether he should do it or not, all while his hand was shakingly reaching for his katana, the Chikage, to draw it out and attack her with it, until he stopped and moved his hand away from it and gave out a big sigh and said, "I…I cannot do it, Ange."

"And why is that?" Ange asked.

"Because…you are not my…you're not our enemy, you are our great leader of Gallowglass." said Sebastian, "You are the one who brought us together, who leads us and the Good Shinobis to defeat and kill any and all Evil Shinobis and Hunters in order for peace to be made. You are the one who motivates and inspire us to keep on going in order to protect our land from those that dares to corrupt it with their very hands and their very blood of hunters. Which is why we follow you and your ideals wherever you go. You are needed, and Gallowglass cannot manage without you, our great leader."

"And you're also telling me that you were wrong to be angry with me?" Ange asked.

"Yes." Sebastian nodded, "And I've realized that it should not have been you that I was angry at. No, the one I should be angry at is Alan Hellwalker and those hunters who support him for his own selfish needs. So, I cannot, and I will not attack you out of anger and hatred, Ange."

"I see." Ange sighed, before she placed her hand on his shoulder again and lectured, "Well, Mr. Scarlet, you make a very good point. However, THIS is why my disappoint with you is starting to grow by the second. Why continue to follow me when you still continue to behave like that? How do you, or any of the others here, intend to lead the Gallowglass, to lead and protect all the Good Shinobis to bring peace for the world and kill any and all Evil Shinobis and hunters, when you can't even try to kill your very rival before you?! How do ANY of you intend to lead Gallowglass in MY place when I'm gone from the world?!"

There was a moment of silence as neither Sebastian nor the other four answered her questions, before Ange said, taking the silence as her answer, "I thought so. So, Sebastian, I suggest you STOP hesitating and START embracing the choices that have forced you to have led and brought you here, learn to adapt and revel in them, or you'll forever live in the shadows of your own past!"

There were a few moments of silence after Ange's word had rang in the room, before Sebastian said, "Is there any tasks you wish for us to do for your next plan of action, or did you bring me here for a lecture and humiliation?"

"Hmph." said Ange, as she brought her hand off his shoulder and went for her desk, while the rest of the others approached and went back in line to hear Ange's next briefing on their task.

"That was a nice save, Sebastian." Amanda whispered to Sebastian, "You really don't wanna piss off the boss like that; really should be careful next time."

"I'll keep that in mind." Sebastian whispered back.

"Now then," said Ange, getting everyone's attention, "I have a task for all of you, my faithful followers."

"Alright, let's hear it." said Victor.

"Yeah, what's the plan?" Ryan asked.

"Back to the topic of Alan Hellwalker and his companions," said Ange, "During our fight once I had encountered him, I had already placed a tracker onto the Good Shinobi girl that was with him, Asuka, the granddaughter of Master Hanzo, the founder of Hanzo Academy, and the very man that is helping and supporting the very monsters that HE'S supposed to destroy like the rest of the Good Shinobis!" she said that with pure venom in her voice, before she continued, "And according to the tracker, their last location was at another Good Shinobi Academy, the all girls' Gessen Academy. And during that time, I had received a call from the leading member of the elite students, Yumi, that Alan and Asuka had broken in and took two of the shinobi twins, who were affiliated with the other infiltrators, and that many tried to stop them from getting away but failed. However, I don't believe it. There is no possible way that they could escape that easily. They should've had at least an army to try and stop them and not just ONE person doing a half-ass job at it. Awfully suspicious, isn't it?" Ange chuckled and said, "But then, it is no coincidence to me. The little girl that I saw with Alan was one of the students of Gessen Academy, and her behavior towards Alan is quite…friendly, to say the least. Which means that my suspicion is true. That not just Hanzo Academy, but also Gessen Academy are working alongside those hunters by providing them shelter and a safe haven for them. Which means that they are under suspicion of keeping all the Evil Shinobis and hunters safe from the rest of the Good Shinobis, including the shinobi council, instead of doing what the Good Shinobis should be doing; getting rid of those criminals and monsters by any means necessary and killing them, in order to prevent any corruptions from them. Which is why…"

Ange looks up to her followers and ordered, "We're going to provide security and get rid of any and all Evil Shinobis and hunters who're sheltered there and confiscate and dispose of anything hunter related. Lucy Osborne and Ryan Harway, you two are to go to Gessen Academy in my place and provide security there, where you'll both be in charge of it. While you're at it, you'll also meet up with our informant that resides in Gessen Academy."

"Yes, madam." Lucy bowed.

"As you wish." Ryan bowed.

"Mr. Scarlet," said Ange, "You are to go to Hanzo Academy and provide security there, where you'll be in charge of the security team there, where you'll be watching over everything, finding anything hunter related, such as weapons, guardians, whatever you could find, confiscate them, and then dispose of them." Ange then smirked as she then added, "And of course, you'll also be watching over the students of Hanzo Academy, including your former lady, Ikaruga."

Hearing that made Sebastian gasped softly at that, eyes widening slightly in surprise, before she continued, "Oh, I assure you, I'm not sending you there out of sheer coincidence. I'm sending you there so that YOU will be fixing the mistakes that you have made while you were at Hanzo Academy, by doing what you should've done; finding and eliminating Evil Shinobis and hunters there, or anything hunter related as soon as possible, and to make those Good Shinobi girls see the reality of what we Gallowglass see, to make them all realize the lies the hunters say to them and the mistakes that they made. And you and I both know how much corrupted influences that the hunters can make to the Good Shinobis in order for them to turn against the good people. OUR good people."

"I understand." said Sebastian, "I will do as you ask, and finish what I should've started, great leader."

"Will you now?" said Ange with a skeptical look, "Hmph, I wonder about that?" Ange then shook her head and said, "Well, no matter. Either way, just be sure to do your job. Oh, and…do make sure that you will not let your attachments to her and your past get the better of you, Mr. Sebastian Van Scarlet. Do NOT let that become your failure. Do I make that clear?"

"I understand." Sebastian nodded.

"Oh, and one more thing," said Ange, "Because you three, as members of Gallowglass, will be in charge of providing security to both the Good Shinobi Academies, there will also be all gates and borders for both schools closed off, so that there will be no entrances or exits to be allowed to go through, without a GOOD reason. In short, there will be no way in and no way out, without the permission of Gallowglass and without a good reason to enter and leave."

"You mean, without ANY of our permission." said Lucy.

"Yes, and if that were the case," said Ange, "I want you three to make sure anyone there are disciplined, and that they should ALL be on the Gallowglass' good side, before they can even think about doing anything else. I want you three to make sure of that."

"As you wish, great leader." Sebastian, Lucy, and Ryan bowed to her.

"Uh, boss?" Amanda raised her hand for attention, "What about the Hanzo girl who's with Alan and those Evil Shinobis and hunters? What do we do about them?"

"I'm glad you asked," said Ange, "Because THAT is where you and Mr. Kresnik comes in." Ange then took out two digital devices that showed maps and a blinking red dot on each of them, each on different locations, before moving over to Amanda and Victor and handing one to each of them and said, "As you already know, I've already placed a tracker on the Hanzo girl on her neck when she didn't notice. And I've also placed a tracker inside of one of the fake diamonds in the jewelries that Lawrence and his group had stolen along with the fake cashes. So, you two will be tracking and hunting them down with any of the armies that you have. Amanda, the tracking device that you have shows you where the tracker is locating the Hanzo girl and Alan, so you will be tracking them down using this and find the girl…and bring her over here to me, so that I will take her to the council where she will be judged."

"Are you sure?" said Amanda, "I mean, I'll do it, but wouldn't Hanzo Academy have her expulsed from them by now because of what happened?"

"Don't worry, I had come well prepared for that." Ange smirked, "Before their expulsion could be made, I already called the shinobi council to have them DENY their expulsion from Hanzo Academy, so they're still part of the academy. Why else would you think that I would place Hanzo Academy under suspicion of working alongside hunters, and send Mr. Scarlet to do the work?"

"Ohh, I get it!" said Amanda, before she smiled, "Okay, I gotcha, boss. Should I also give the girl a good reason to come with me alive?"

"As a matter of fact, yes." said Ange, "You see, the tracker that I had placed on the Hanzo girl is a…very special tracker. To be more specific, it is a death tracker that can be placed and stuck on anywhere around the body. In her case, it is the neck, and if the one being tracked like Asuka or anyone else with her attempts to try and take it off, it'll slowly start to tear off the skin and the muscle of her neck until eventually, it'll rip off her entire neck and have her whole head ripped off of her whole body and she will die with her head off. In short, and unless she has a very good technician from Gallowglass that can help get the tracker off of her carefully, the Hanzo girl can't get the tracker off her neck."

"Oooh, that's bad." Amanda winched, as she imagined that happening to Asuka, "Oh, yeah, yup, she's a goner."

"And that's not all." Ange added, "I had also placed her whole family under arrest for suspicion of working alongside Evil Shinobis and hunters, even if only Master Hanzo knows it, and they will remain under arrest unless the Hanzo girl turns herself in, or they suffer in her place for betrayal. Those will give her good reasons to turn herself in willingly and abandon those hunters, to save herself and her family."

"Hmmm, sound good and easy enough." Amanda nodded with a smile, as she took the tracking map device that was tracking Asuka, before she asked, "And what about the hunters with them? Do you want them dead or alive?"

"Either/or." Ange simply answered with a wave of her hand.

"Dead it is, then!" Amanda cheered enthusiastically.

Ange chuckled at Amanda's enthusiasm before she took out something out of her pocket, which happened to be the red scarf that she took from Asuka during their fight and added, "Oh, and, just in case if the tracker somehow fails by whatever means, which I highly doubt will happen, use this scarf and give it to one of your werewolves and bloodhounds so that they'll be able to track her down with their sense of smell. We wouldn't want to suddenly lose track of them and get lost because our tracker would no longer be able to track them down, now would we?"

Amanda smiled before she took the red scarf and said with a big happy grin and said, "You got it, boss!"

Ange nodded before looking at Victor and said, "And, Mr. Kresnik, you and your large team of Good Shinobis will be going after Lawrence and the renegade shinobis, the Crimson Squad. I'm sure you already know, but I have already placed a tracker inside of one of the diamonds of the fake jewelries that they'd stolen, so you'll be able to track them down and find their current location shown on the map in your device I've given you. This will be your chance to finish off those Evil Shinobis and that hunter Lawrence for good." Ange gave out a knowing smile and said, "And of course, your chance to finally get your revenge on the girl who killed both your wife and child in pure rage and cold-blood, Hikage. Ah, but first, you must get the leader of the Crimson Squad, Homura, and the hunter, Lawrence, first, and draw those two away from their little group, separate them, so that you could kill them both simultaneously. Once they're killed, the little group won't have their leader nor the hunter to help lead them; without either one of them, their team will be in total chaos, and they won't be able to know what else to do other than to surrender themselves. And after you killed them both, then you'll get your revenge on Hikage. Is that understood?"

"Understood." said Victor, "I shall do as you wish."

"Good." Ange nodded.

"Great leader, what about Oliviera and the new Hebijo Squad?" Lucy asked out of concern, "What do we do about them? Though I highly doubt that it would happen, there is a possible high chance that they'll somehow be helping Alan Hellwalker and his team somehow."

"Don't worry, I already hired the best mercenary assassin recommended by the shinobi council to deal with Oliviera and the Hebijo group for good, so you have no need to worry about them as they'll be dealt with permanently." said Ange, "In fact, I plan on meeting up with this mercenary after this meeting, before I go to work on my next project that I'm working on. So, for now, you worry about your tasks that I have given you at hand."

"If that is what you wish, madam." Lucy bowed.

"We shall do as you say and remain focus on our task at hand." Ryan bowed.

"Good." Ange nodded, before she ordered, "Now go, my followers. Go and begin your preparation for your individual tasks in less than 30 minutes. And remember to stay focus on your tasks at hand and keep your guard up at all times. Do NOT make any mistakes. And remember, eliminate any and all Evil Shinobis and hunters that dare try to stand in our way, show them that you have pledge yourself to Gallowglass and the Good Shinobis fully and faithfully, show them your allegiance and loyalty to those fighting to protect the world for peace, relish in all the gifts that has been bestowed upon all of you. Only then, will all of you be free, free from all the pain and suffering that they had caused to all of you. Only then will you be able to cast off the chains that binds each and every one of you, and achieve strength and power to make you stronger than ever before." Ange smirks as she then added, "And who knows? One of you may even have the chance to become the new leader of Gallowglass by defeating and surpassing…the rival standing before you."

Upon hearing her say that, the five of Ange's loyal followers looked at one another as if they were seeing what one or the other were thinking, to see if they were thinking the same thing or not; most had neutral looks on their faces, few had smirks. Then, after some time, they all looked back at their great leader and bowed before her.

"Then we will not fail you, Great Leader." said Sebastian.

"You just leave everything to us, boss." said Amanda.

After that, they raised their heads and turned around and began leaving the room one by one, leaving Ange alone in her room. Shortly after, Ange left her room to meet up with her hired mercenary assassin.

Outside the border gate:

Five of Ange's trusted and loyal followers were all prepared with all their gears and equipments on, ready to leave to do their respective tasks. Most even have flying beasts ready to have them fly to their respective location. Amanda, on the other hand, had a motorcycle, a cruiser, where she intends to track down her intended targets by ground to make it easier and give out less detection unless she gets somewhat closer to her targets. Victor was conversing with the 500-armed Good Shinobis of Gallowglass who were all riding and waiting on their flying beasts and will be following him on his mission to hunt down Lawrence and the Crimson Squad.

"Welp, I guess this is it then." said Amanda, as she was adjusting her cruiser motorcycle.

"Yup." said Ryan, "Can't believe it's time that we Gallowglass will finally be going out and spread our ideals and influence around the entirety of Japan, instead of doing so by hiding in plain sight."

"Yes, it's finally the day." said Victor, who approached his co-workers after conversing with his armed men and women, "We've already been trained for this. We know how to separate humans and monsters from each other within the shadows, dividing the shinobis and hunters so that the Good Shinobis will destroy the monsters and side with us. Now, we no longer have to hide, and we will finally reveal ourselves and our true intentions to all the Evil Shinobis and hunters, and give them all a grim reminder of why we're here."

"Yes." said Lucy, "And with our power, we'll do what we must to maintain order for humanity, and for the peace of our nation, of our world."

"We must remain cautious, though." said Sebastian, "Be on guard at all times, and do not let anyone else try to get in our way at all times."

"Right." Lucy nodded.

"Well, I'm not too worried about that." said Amanda happily, after finishing her adjustment with her cruiser, "After all, we're professionals at dividing people from monsters and at killing those said monsters. And we're the best at what we do, and the best…are always prepared."

"Wait, hold on, are those Gatling Guns attached to your cruiser bike?" Ryan asked in bewilderment, "Why would you attach those on, won't they just be too heavy for your bike?"

"Nope!" Amanda smiled, while patting on her cruiser, "Not at all! I made sure that I made some good adjustments so that my cruiser will be able to drive faster without even worrying about the weight of these babies! Plus, I can even easily detach either one of my Gatling Guns off my bike anytime I want, so that I don't have to worry about them being stuck! Besides, when it comes to my baby cruiser, not even a horse can outmatch it's extreme speed!"

"My god, you sure like to brag a lot, don't you?" said Lucy, while giving out a deadpanned expression, "Especially when it comes to every man that you fuck around with every single day. I'll bet you even have some gangbang action with those men that you fucked with."

"Well, that's not surprising since she used to be a prostitute before becoming one of us." said Ryan, "A perfect example of a fucking slut. Hell, I'll bet that you even have sex with the monsters that we've imprisoned before we gave them all an execution."

"Oh, what can I say?" Amanda smiled, "It's what I do. Plus, sex is fun. And also, every guy that I had sex with are all mostly human men, and I don't fuck around with those hunters just before I kill them. I'm not that stupid enough to fool around with those freaks."

"Of course, you aren't." said Lucy.

"Anyway," said Amanda, as she grabbed and sheathed her main weapon, the Beasthunter Saif, "It's time we get to work." She looked at Victor and said, "I'll see you up ahead when I'm done with Hellwalker and his hunter buddies!"

Victor nodded and said, "Just be careful out there and don't get too cocky and overconfident, so that you'll try not to get yourself killed so easily."

"Wasn't planning to." Amanda gave out a big smile and saluted with a wink, before turning to the men that were guarding the three large cages that contained Amanda's monster minions, monsters that were making sounds of growling and screeching, that she planned on bringing and shouted at the guards, "Alright, boys! Bring them out!"

By her command, the guards fearfully yet carefully and quickly went to unlock all the locks that were locking up the cages before they swiftly moved out the way, before the three cages suddenly busted opened, releasing Amanda's best monsters, werewolves, bloodhounds, and tengu birdmen, and there were fifty of them of each, all of them were howling, growling, and squawking respectively. They continued making their respective sounds together until Amanda shouted out loudly for them to hear, "SHUT YOUR MUZZLES AND BEAKS, BOYS!"

Upon hearing her shout, they all did as told and became silent. As soon as she had all of their attention to her, Amanda smiled and said, "Alright, now listen up, boys! We got a job to do! We're gonna go out to the wasteland, we gonna find Alan Hellwalker and his hunter friends!" Amanda raised her fist up in the air and cheered the last part, "AND WE WILL TEAR THEM APART!"

Upon hearing her shout that last part, the werewolves, bloodhounds, and the tengu birdmen roared, howled, and screeched respectively, before they began to follow Amanda's lead, the werewolves and bloodhounds running on the ground while the tengu birdmen began flying through the air, as she turned up the engine of her motorcycle and took off to find Alan and the people who were with him, all while Amanda hollered and cheered out "WHOOOHOOO! YEAH!" on as she drove off to the wasteland, to find Alan and the hunters to kill them. The sound of her motorcycle running and Amanda hollering and cheering, as well as the sound of monsters making their own sounds, was heard from far away until she was gone from sight, and there was no sound being heard anymore.

As soon as Amanda and her forces were gone from sight, Victor turned to the remaining three of his colleagues and said to them, "Well, then, I suppose I must be off, as well. It's time I get started on finding Lawrence and the Crimson Squad soon before Hellwalker finds them and helps them, if Amanda doesn't do her job very well. You should focus on the tasks given to you all at hand while I focus on mine."

"Right/Agreed." Ryan and Lucy nodded.

"Of course." said Sebastian, "We must not fail and disappoint our great leader Ange."

"Hmm." Victor nodded, "Best of luck to all of you."

"Yeah, you, too." said Ryan.

"To you, as well, Mr. Kresnik." Lucy bowed.

"Just be careful out there." said Sebastian.

Victor nodded before he added, "And remember, don't trust anyone but yourself, and each other from Gallowglass."

The three nodded to Victor at that before they each turned around and left to go and climb onto their flying beasts to fly on, with Lucy and Ryan climbing and riding on one flying beast together to go to Gessen Academy, while Sebastian was riding on his own to go to Hanzo Academy. Then, the three began to depart on their rides to go to their respective locations to provide security, along with some Good Shinobi troops that were going with them. Once they were gone from sight, Victor went to climb on and ride on his own flying beast and then turned to all of his army of Good Shinobis that were all going with him and waiting for further words and commands from Victor.

Victor turned him and his flying beast around so that he could face them all, before he said, "Alright, listen up! You all know what the mission is; find the hunter named Lawrence and the renegade shinobi group called the Crimson Squad and kill them all, not just for the good of our country, but for the good of the world! Do NOT let any one of them escape from your sight nor your grasp, or else it could mean the end for ALL the Good Shinobis in Japan, and it could mean the end for the whole world! So, DO NOT fail this mission! Is that clear, men and women?!"

"SIR, YES, SIR!" they all shouted.

"Good!" said Victor, before he shouted in command, "NOW, LET'S MOVE OUT!"

With that, Victor and his 500-armed Good Shinobis of men and women from Gallowglass began to flying off into the sky riding on their flying beasts, with Victor leading the way to find Lawrence and the Crimson Squad and then kill them off for good.

Meanwhile, at the roof of the building:

With all her loyal followers now gone and off onto their missions that she gave them, Ange went and to meet up with the mercenary assassin that she hired to go and kill Oliviera. As soon as she was at the top of the roof of a building, Ange gave out a smirk as she met up with the mercenary assassin, who had been waiting for her to arrive while leaning on the wall with his arms crossed. The mercenary was a tall man with slightly short black hair with bangs that covered his dull and pale hazel eyes that looked almost as if he was already dead inside. He wore a black long-sleeved shirt and a long black military trench coat that carried bullet magazines in every pocket that he had and wore three belts that carried various knives and grenades around them, dark brown pants and black boots. He looked up with his dull paled eyes and said to his client who was approaching him, with a voice so low that it almost sounded as if he gave up on everything even himself, as if he didn't really care about anything anymore and wanted to get it over with, "Took you long enough."

"Mr. Tobias Richardson," said Ange, "I am pleased to see that you agreed to meet up with me to deal with a job that I'll be giving you regarding a certain hunter that I want you to hunt down. I respect a man with courage and wishes to take up on offers that no one would dare try to take, whether they like it or not."

"I'm just here so that I can take on this last job that I'll be doing so that I could get paid and then get the hell out of this godforsaken country that's already been through too much wars in the shadows." said the man now named Tobias Richardson, "I don't give a shit about the shinobis and hunters or their wars with each other anymore, nor do I care about your little philosophies about what you do for the Good Shinobis or whatever. So just hurry up, get it over with and speak already. I want to get this last job over with and done. What's my job this time?"

"Of course, Mr. Richardson." said Ange, "Now, as you already know, this last job that I'll be giving you will be regarding the certain hunter that has taken over and dictates a certain city that once belonged to the Good Shinobis, Ursania, and I want you to infiltrate the city and kill that dictator and hunter, Oliviera, in order for the Good Shinobis to take back the city that once belonged to them. You know how to infiltrate cities that had been taken over by hunters before and killed them in order for the cities to be taken back before, so you should have no problem infiltrating the city, even by going in through stealth and/or hiding within plain sight of a crowd of people. Once she had been assassinated and dealt with, give out a signal via phone call and the Good Shinobis of Gallowglass will do the rest and take back the city and free everyone in the city from Oliviera's reign of terror. After that, you will then meet up with an informant outside of the city border who you will receive the reward money from. They'll be the ones will learn and inform the shinobi council of your success there. You already have information about your current target as well as read through all of her criminal records, correct?"

"Yeah, I did." Tobias sighed, "I've learned what I needed to learn thanks to that annoying stupid and cheerful shinobi council member, Noa…that stupid good-for-nothing happy-go-lucky bitch…being stupidly happy for no good reason while giving me an earful. But regardless, I got what I needed to know about Oliviera, about her strengths and her weaknesses, so I should have no problem assassinating and killing that damned dictator of a bitch. I also know how to deal with and subdue the rest of the Hebijo group without even needing to fight them, much less having them to know what exactly happened, so I should be fine. In and out, and no one knows, which should be easy for me."

"Good." said Ange, "That's exactly what I want to hear from you." Ange then remembered something before she went through her pocket and said, "Oh, and, before I forget, I have a little present for you to use when you're in the city." Ange took out what looked to be a bottle of odor from her pocket that had a colorful mix of greenish-bluish-purple substance inside and brought it out to give it to Tobias before she explained what it was she was giving him, "This formula here is a special odor that I had made with my skills in alchemy that has a strong odor that will help make you smell as if you are a normal human and nothing else, making your infiltration into the city far more easier and tracking you down far mor difficult for your enemies that will hunt you down. By spreading and covering yourself and your whole body all over it, you will be seen and smelled as a normal human to any hunters' eyes, even the half-blooded one like Oliviera, so you will be less than suspicious to anyone. Use this to put it all over yourself around your whole body before you can go into the city. You wouldn't want to suddenly get caught because of the sight and smell of Yōma blood around you both in and out now, would you?"

"Yeah, right." said Tobias, as he took the bottle of mixed odor with him and put it in one of his pockets, before he went to pick up the rest of his weapons lying on the ground, which consisted a silent sniper rifle called the Accuracy International L115A3, which is good use for killing hunters quickly and quietly, dual hand guns and a sub-machine gun for close combat if needed, and a machete with the handle wrapped in red cloth, which he sheathed into his makeshift scabbard held on his straps behind his back underneath the coat.

"You're heading off already?" Ange asked.

"I just wanna get this job over with and done and get paid afterwards before I leave this country." said Tobias, "I don't have time for idling by and waste time on any other nonsense. Especially when it comes to hunters and shinobis and their damned shenanigans."

"I understand." said Ange, "However, Mr. Richardson, isn't there anyone here in this country that you want to go see and say goodbye to before you go? I'm sure that there are people here that you know would want to say goodbye to you before you leave Japan permanently."

"No, there isn't." said Tobias, "And I may as well be dead to them, so no one will miss me when I'm gone from this damned country."

"Really?" Ange asked, "Not even that old childhood friend of yours named Yozakura who was like a sister to you and who once saw you as a brother to her? Nor that little girl Minori who you had chose to save when a group of hunters you were once affiliated with, led by the hunter named Elizabeth Qrowe, were attacking and killing her whole family, which resulted in her being comatose? Nor the grave of an old friend of yours who saved you when you were both in that same group together which resulted in her death? You're sure no one is going to miss you when you are gone?"

"Don't mock me!" Tobias growled, "Like I care about them! And like they would care if I'm gone!" He then took a deep breath to calm himself down before he sighed and said, "No, none of them would care I'm gone from the world, much less even remember me at all. Yozakura's father was killed by my hands when I became a monster like those hunters and fell to its influence, and right in front of her and her siblings' eyes, and it brought Yozakura into an unforgiving rage, forcing me to run away from her out of fear and guilt, and the last thing she did to me was she yelled and cursed at me, saying that she swears that one day she would hunt me down and that she would kill me for what I did to her only parent she had after her mom died. And that little girl, Minori? She doesn't even know that I exist, and she doesn't even know that I was the one who left her flowers as my way of apologizing to her for what I had done to her, much less does she even realized that I saved her at that last second before she fell into a coma and her step brother came in and killed the rest of those hunters that I was forced to be a part of over the years killing innocent people and Good Shinobis, which almost led me completely insane and I felt like I could break at any given moment with all of fear and guilt that I kept bottled up to myself, while I had to fight against Elizabeth in a losing battle that I knew I couldn't possibly win in! And my friend, my first and only hunter friend, Sarah? I didn't deserve to become friends with someone who was kind, warm, and gentle, and was the only person that ever helped me and kept my sanity in check, and would always be there to help me, to talk to me, and to comfort me about my problems and my guilt. She sacrificed herself to save me when Qrowe was about to finish me off, shielding me from that fatal blow that was meant for me, taking that final blow for me. Sarah got herself killed because of me, and I killed her. And then Elizabeth ran off and got away after that, mocking me and saying that Sarah was dead because of me. And she was right; Sarah's gone now because of me, and she's six feet under the damn ground! What do I do to deserve someone like her? What right do I have to go and see her grave? Nothing. So that's why, I'm not going to go and visit her grave, because I don't deserve to visit her. She's dead, and I blame myself for that. So, you see…no one will miss me when I'm gone, and even if they realize it, what do they even care? No one will miss me, and it's better that way, and I'll just go and leave this damned country without saying goodbye. What happens here now, and whatever the hell you Gallowglass plan on doing, is none of my concern anymore. Do whatever the hell you want. I don't even care anymore."

"I see." said Ange, "Very well, then, do what you feel it is best for you. If you believe no one here in this country will miss you, then you can leave without saying your goodbye." Ange turned around to leave before she turned her head to look at him and said to the mercenary assassin, "Best of luck to you, Mr. Silent Assassin. Don't disappoint me and the shinobi council at the last second you fail your mission."

"Wasn't planning to." said Tobias, as he turned around and began to leave for Ursania, with two spiritual wolf pups who were waiting for him, the oldest, Nulba, the white pup, and the youngest, Colba, the black pup, following their master.

Once the mercenary assassin had gone and left, Ange began to leave and make her way off to go do what she was planning on doing next; her ultimate project to end all hunters.

At the large constructional building run by Gallowglass:

Ange had entered the building where construction workers and engineers were working on the large project that Ange was planning on making and working on, which was a very large machine that contained a very gigantic clear white crystal that was the size of, if not even bigger than, the Eiffel Tower of France, focusing on their job on working and constructing the machine even when their great leader was present.

"Welcome, Great Leader Ange," said the head worker, "The project that we've been working on for you has been going good and well underway. Although we've also been dealing with some trouble from outsiders, our Good Shinobi brothers and sisters have dealt with the intruders until they've barricaded themselves and sealed themselves off all the entrances that they came from, so our brothers and sisters had to blow their way in to track them down and finish them off, and now of all the men and women we sent in, only half of them returned, and are being treated for their injuries. Overall, madam, the project will continue to being worked on under construction until the project is ready for you. Though, we're also concern about what will to come once we bring out this…uh…very large device out in the open and activate it, and the consequences that will come after the plan for your project is completed, even the shinobi council is slowly becoming very wary of it."

"It's fine." said Ange, "If there is any blame for what is to happen afterward, I will take it. For now, I want this project of mine to be finished by the end of this month, and I don't want ANY further mistakes. I want my project, my Ultimate Purification Weapon, to be completed and ready. Have you and your working men continue on your work and complete the construction of my project as soon as possible."

"As you wish, madam." The head worker bowed, before he turned around and shouted to his workers, "ALRIGHT, YOU HEARD THE LADY! KEEP ON WORKING! WE HAVE UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH, SO GET YOUR ARSES BACK TO WORK NOW!"

"Yes, sir!"

"Right away, sir!"

As the construction workers and engineers continued on working on the construction of the project, Ange looked on to her gigantic machine that was her project, her ultimate weapon called the Ultimate Purification Weapon, or more specifically, the very gigantic large crystal that was inside the machine, and she smiled at the dazzling and shining gleam of the crystal, as the crystal was shining brightly, though not brightly enough to blind people from the light.

"The Holy Purification Crystal." said Ange, "A powerful holy crystal that can wipe out the impurity of all that is evil and can destroy any and all evil beings of impure hearts, just from the flash of the bright shining light alone. When shined bright, it destroys the living being of impureness and full of sins away until there is nothing left of the evil being, no matter how big or small their impurity or their sin is, not even a third blood of a hunter could survive such a powerful light. It begins from the inside, causing the impure being to feel the pain of the holy purity shining on to them, until eventually their bodies begin to turn into the color dust and destroys them, turning them into ashes with nothing left of them. Which means, if I can use this powerful crystal as my weapon, I can wipe out away all the Evil Shinobis, hunters, and even Yōma away from this world until there is nothing left of them, and only the good people will be left, and the Good Shinobis will continue to thrive and exist to continue to protect the world. With this machine that I have that has the crystal contained in it, I can use my machine to make the Holy Purification Crystal create a very large and powerful shockwave that will spread throughout the whole entire world, affecting each and every one of those Evil Shinobis, hunters, and Yōmas throughout the world, and that powerful shockwave will continue to repeat and spread until they all die and there's nothing left of them in the face of the planet. The shockwaves from the machine will continue until there is nothing left of them ever again." Ange placed her hand on the side of the machine, before she let out a sigh as if relieved that all of her hard work was finally about to pay off after all the struggles that she and Gallowglass had to endure. She looked to the crystal once again with a smile and said, "Finally…at last, my dream, my plan…OUR plan, is about to come to fruition! With this, I can finally destroy and erase all the Evil Shinobis and hunters and put an end to all the pain and suffering because of them! Finally, darkness will vanish from this world and only the light will exist, the Good Shinobis will thrive gratefully again, and no one else will have to suffer anymore, as the people of Gallowglass did, as I did." She then looked up into the sky as if she was looking at the heaven above and said, "Mother, father, Mizuki…I hope you're all watching, we…we will finally be free. Free from all this pain and sorrow. The Evil Shinobis and hunters will be no more, and our people will live on, and we will finally…have peace." Then she looked down back at the gigantic crystal and said, "To all of you damned bastards around the world, you criminal Evil Shinobis and you disgusting savage monsters of hunters, I hope you're ready for your end, because your time for your end has come! This…will be the beginning of the end…for ALL of you!"

After that, Ange turned around and began to leave as she walks off to go to her work, while the construction workers and engineers continued one working on the machine, the Ultimate Purification Weapon.

Little did Ange and Gallowglass knew, however, was that what Ange had described about the Holy Purification Crystal…was more literal than she had realized, all while the crystal itself continued to shine a bit more brightly.
