AN: Hello everyone! Here I am with another story of the Disney princess, Raya.

This time, in her new adventure she will have as a companion someone who has the same courage as a Disney princess, the Avatar Korra.

They won't be entirely alone, though.

What will happen? We'll find out.

'The Legend of Korra' is set after 'Ruins of the Empire.'

'Raya and the Last Dragon' is set after the movie.

I don't own anything except the OCs.

The spirit world.

The homeland of the spirits and those who pass on to a better life.

Considered paradise for many, but a danger for a few.

For centuries, the spirit world was separated from the physical world due to the closing of the main portals due to a single person, the first Avatar in history, Avatar Wan, who did so with the intention of being able to avoid conflicts between humans and spirits.

For centuries, there were several spirits who managed to find a way into the human world, both to interact with humans, and to attack them when they were in a state of dark rage.

However, that all changed with the help of the current Avatar, Avatar Korra.

With the help of her traitorous uncle, Unalaq, Korra opened the spirit portals.

At first, it was because of Unalaq's evil plan to free Vaatu, the spirit of darkness and chaos, but after Korra defeated both, she decided it was time for humans and spirits to live together in harmony, so she left the portals open.

Years later, in the final fight against Kuvira in her invasion of Republic City, she desperately tried to use her spirit-rooted powered weapon to destroy Korra, but things went awry and the result was the creation of a new spirit portal.

At first, there were problems because many people were left homeless, plus a businessman tried to use the portal to his advantage, not to mention the spirits were angry about it all.

In the end, after defeating an evil guy, the city's spirit portal became a protected reserve that people could quietly use to travel to the spirit world to enjoy its wonders.

In fact, at that time there were two people doing just that.

Those people were none other than Avatar Korra and her girlfriend, Asami Sato.

During their little vacation in the spirit world, the two confessed their feelings and officially became a couple.

After some things that had happened, such as the spiritual portal issue and the change of the now known as Earth Republic, they felt they needed a break from their duties as Avatar and head of Future Industries, so they decided to go to the most peaceful and beautiful place they knew, the spirit world.

Right now, the two were sitting under the shade of a tree next to a small river, watching the natural scenery in front of them.

"It's so beautiful, isn't it?" asked Asami.

"Yes. And you know how it can be more beautiful? If you see it with the person you cherish." said Korra.

"Wow. Don't take you for a romantic person." said Asami with a smile.

"I only am when it comes to you." said Korra with a smile.

The two looked at each other before the two shared a quick kiss on the lips.

"I'm sorry I haven't been with you lately." said Korra.

"Hey, I understand. I have a really big company to run and you had duties as Avatar stopping bandits in the Earth Republic." said Asami.

"Yeah, but it's lasted longer than I thought it would. The only reason I finished early was because I wanted to get back with you." said Korra.

"You flatter me, but it's not good to rush into things. If I did that, I would have made some mistakes." said Asami.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." said Korra with a shrug.

"Well, we didn't come here to apologize or talk about work, but to spend time by ourselves." said Asami.

"You're right." said Korra as the two turned their eyes back to the landscape, with Korra resting her head on her girlfriend's shoulder.

They stayed like that for a while, enjoying the atmosphere, undisturbed.

"Ah. Young love."

The two were startled when they heard an old man's voice and turned their heads to see a very old man with a beard looking at them with a smile.

"It brings back sweet memories of the past." said the old man.

"Iroh!" said Korra getting up, surprised to see him at that moment.

"Hello, Korra." said Iroh.

"Wait." began Asami getting up as well. "You're Iroh? General Iroh? The Dragon of the West? The one who helped Zuko become Fire Lord?"

"I see my fame holds up despite the years. Hehe. You must be Asami Sato. It's an honor to meet the person who conquered the Avatar's heart." said Iroh, causing Korra to smile with a slight blush.

"On the contrary. It is I who has the honor of meeting you, sir. My parents used to tell me stories about you when I was a child." said Asami.

"Oh yeah? And what did they tell you about me?" asked Iroh.

"Mainly, that you brewed the best tea in the world." said Asami, causing the old man to chuckle slightly.

"Hehe. I won't deny that I had a natural talent for it. Too bad my nephew didn't inherit that from me. Although I hear my granddaughter, Izumi, makes some delicious teas. Well, that doesn't matter now. I suppose you're here for a date, right?" asked Iroh.

"Yes. We needed a break from everything we've been doing and felt this was the right place." said Korra.

"After all, it was here that we confessed and had our first kiss." said Asami as she and her girlfriend looked at each other and held hands.

"I'm so happy for both of you." began Iroh with a smile before that smile faded. "Unfortunately, I'm afraid you'll have to postpone it."

That surprised the two women a bit.

"What? Why?" asked Korra.

"There is something I need you to resolve, Avatar Korra." said Iroh with a bit of seriousness.

From that alone, Korra could see that this was a serious matter, so she nodded her head.

"What's going on?" asked Korra.

"As you well know, the spirit world is connected to the human world, right?" asked Iroh.

"Yes. Through the spirit portals of the South Pole, the North Pole and now, Republic City." said Asami.

"That's right, but what almost no one knows is that the spirit world is connected to more worlds." said Iroh.

"More worlds? You mean… worlds other than ours?" asked Korra.

"Correct." said Iroh.

"What does that have to do with you needing Korra?" asked Asami.

"Tell me, do you know why I was known as the dragon of the west?" asked Iroh.

"Yes, you were called that because you supposedly killed the last dragon. However, what really happened was that you found the Sun Warriors and met the last dragons. After that, you decided to keep it a secret and say that you killed them so they would leave them alone." said Korra recalling Katara's stories about her adventures with Aang and friends.

"That's right, when I passed on and came here, I befriended many dragons. All shapes and sizes. Once, I met a dragon that looked toothless." said Iroh with a smile.

"Ahem. To the point, please." said Asami.

"Oh, yes. Sorry. One day, I was relaxing over tea when a dragon approached me for help. Turns out he was from a different world than mine and this one was in danger." said Iroh.

"Iroh, I don't mean to sound rude or anything bad, but why would you ask me to help you solve a problem from another world?" asked Korra.

"Normally, I would agree with you and leave in that they would solve their problems on their own, but that was when that dragon told me about what was going on in their world." said Iroh.

"What's going on?" asked Asami.

"He told me that a very dark force was trying to find its way into their world and, if they found it, they would bring their world into an era of darkness and chaos." said Iroh.

"In the same way as Vaatu." thought Korra starting to get interested.

"I had told him about you and your abilities and accomplishments and he told me that you seemed to be the right person to save his world from destruction. You are well within your rights to refuse the request if you want to." said Iroh.

Korra stopped to think.

On the one hand, this was an otherworldly problem, so she could just let it go and go on with her date with Asami, but on the other hand, she couldn't help but imagine a world full of people who would suffer because of this dark threat.

Her role as Avatar was to be the bridge between humans and spirits and it wasn't a human who was asking him to do that, it was a dragon, one of the original elemental bender.

She felt she was disappointing many if she refused the request and she wouldn't feel good about herself knowing that an entire world was destroyed because she didn't want to help.

She wanted to accept, but if she did, that meant she would have to travel to another world not knowing when she would return and especially not knowing when she would see her girlfriend again.

"Go ahead."

Korra startled before turning to Asami, who was looking at her with a smile.

"Asami?" asked Korra.

"I know you very well, Korra and I know you wouldn't turn down someone who asks you to save people." said Asami.

"But… it's in another world. Who knows how long it will take for me to get back and I don't want to leave you alone." said Korra.

"Well, in that case, there's a very simple solution." said Asami.

"Which one?" asked Korra with an arched eyebrow.

"That I go with you." said Asami, surprising her girlfriend.

"What? No! It could be dangerous." said Korra.

"Really, Korra? After all we've been through together, you still take me for a damsel in distress?" asked Asami with her hands on her hips and a smile.

"Of course not, but…" began Korra.

"Listen, I know you're worried that I might get hurt, but I'd be worried too if you got hurt and I wasn't by your side to take care of you." began Asami before taking her girlfriend's hands. "You may be the Avatar, but you can't do everything alone. I want to be by your side in this because I love you."

Korra smiled sweetly at her girlfriend before the two kissed each other on the lips.

"I love you too and that's why I'll let you come with me." said Korra.

"Thank you." said Asami.

"The love you have for each other is something you don't see every day." said Iroh with a smile.

"It's okay, Iroh. I accept." began Korra before looking at her girlfriend. "We both accept."

"I knew you would. Now then, we'd better get going." said Iroh.

"Wait, before we go, let me grab a couple of things." said Asami before picking up the backpacks she brought with her and handed Korra hers.

"Then, if you're already, we'll be on our way." said Iroh.

With all said and done, the three of them set off on Korra's new mission along with Asami.

For a while, they were walking the grounds of the spirit world, passing through forests and small swamps.

They had a couple of encounters with some spirits, but, fortunately, they came in peace and with no desire to cause trouble.

Finally, the three of them reached the base of a mountain.

"Okay. We've arrived." said Iroh.

"Why did we come here specifically?" asked Korra.

"This is where the portal that will take you to the world I told you about is located. Just go up that path and you will find the entrance." said Iroh pointing to a path on the mountainside.

"Thank you for guiding us, Lord Iroh." said Asami bowing in thanks.

"Please, just call me Iroh. I hope you both have a pleasant trip and I hope that the next time we meet, we will have tea together." said Iroh.

"We'll keep that in mind." said Korra with a smile before she and her girlfriend took off up the uphill path, leaving the old man behind.

"Do you think they'll be able to make it?" asked a voice from behind Iroh.

"I'm sure. Korra is powerful, but I know that, with Asami, she is even more so." said Iroh.

"I trust you, old friend." said the voice.

Korra and Asami were walking up the mountainside for a while, trying to find something that would tell them that this was the right path, but they found nothing.

That's when, halfway up the mountain, they stopped as soon as they saw a huge cave, but the striking thing was that there were two dragon statues standing on the sides of the entrance as watchful guardians.

"Do you think this is the way?" asked Asami.

"Well, Iroh said it was a dragon who made the request, so yes." said Korra with a shrug.

Asami walked over to her girlfriend and grabbed her hand.

"Wow. I didn't know you were afraid of the dark." said Korra with an amused smile.

"I'm not. It's so you don't think about leaving me behind." said Asami with another amused smile.

"If you say so." said Korra before the two entered the cave.

Once deep enough inside that the light from outside no longer illuminated, Korra lit a flame in her hand to light the rest of the way.

They walked down the long tunnel and Korra's flame provided enough light to see that there were ancient engravings on the walls showing drawings of dragons of various shapes and sizes doing everything from flying to attacking humans.

If it weren't for the fact that they had an important mission, they would have liked to have been able to learn about that place and the story the engravings on the walls were telling.

They kept walking until they noticed a light in the distance, so they moved quickly forward and when they got close enough, Korra extinguished the flame in her hand and the two were impressed with what lay before them.

They had come to a huge dome shaped subway chamber with a circular river surrounding a pedestal and on that pedestal was a glowing white colored gem.

"Wow." said Korra in awe.

"Amazing. I've never seen anything like that." said Asami.

The two approached the pedestal, where they looked closely at the white gem.

"Could this be the ticket to travel to the other world?" asked Asami.

"There's only one way to find out." said Korra.

They both raised their hands and placed them on the gem.

The next instant, the gem began to glow brightly to the point where light filled the entire room.

Soon after, the light dimmed until the gem returned to its previous brightness and Korra and Asami were nowhere to be seen.

AN: You see, folks.

In all my stories in which Korra travels to another world, she always does it alone, so I decided that this time, she would be accompanied.

And what better company than her beloved girlfriend.

Well, we can only wait what will happen to them on the other side.

See you!
