5#Evan.
In history class, Mrs. Winston stood in front of her desk before the class full of kids seated at their arm-desks, teaching about the first people that went to the moon. She had short brown hair and blue eyes.
"And so, with only months to go, NASA met John F. Kennedy's challenge to put men on the moon before the end of the 60s. The three chosen for this historic fight were Buzz Aldren...Michael Collins...and-" Mrs. Winston stopped when she saw Tyler staring off into space, his mind completely somewhere else. "Tyler?" She called, but Tyler didn't respond. "Tyler, are you with us?" Nothing. "Earth to Tyler Willcox!" She shouted.
Tyler snapped back into reality and looked at Mrs. Winston. "Huh?"
"Are you paying attention?" Mrs. Winston asked.
"Uh, yes, Mrs. Winston." Tyler said.
"Good. Then maybe you would tell everybody what we were talking about before i had to stop and bring you back to Earth." Mrs. Winston said.
"Uh, well, i...uh..." Tyler stammered.
"Not even close. We're not covering i or uh until next year." Mrs. Winston said.
"Hahahahaha." The other kids laughed.
"Nice try though." Mrs. Winston said. She then went over to Tyler. "Now...maybe you're having a bad day. But i had my in-laws over for dinner last night, and needless to say...i need you to cut me a little slack...okay?"
"Okay." Tyler said.
"Good." Mrs. Winston said, smiling. "Now...back to the moon." She said before she turned around and started heading back for the front of her desk. "It was widely believed that Bobby Kennedy was gonna keep his brother's policies in check."
Tyler returned to his thoughts, turning Mrs. Winston out once again. Which was not like him at all. He was never easily distracted growing up. Normally he was tuned in and very focused in school. But life was not normal. Not for him. Not anymore. He hadn't had a normal day since the night of Evan's incident. And today was especially not normal. Ever since school started, he hadn't been able to stop thinking about that Fredbear plush-toy he had seen outside earlier and how much it resembled Evan's. He also couldn't stop thinking about how it just disappeared without any explanation. He knew it had just been his mind playing tricks on him. It had to be, it was the only thing that made sense. What other logical explanation could there have been?
"Tyler." Came a young faint male voice.
Tyler looked to his right...and all the color drained out of his face. For a moment he didn't believe what he was seeing. Standing outside the classroom...in the hallway...was Evan Afton. Tyler's dead best friend. Although his appearance was slightly different from the last time he had seen him. He was glowing a faint light, his skin was pale-as if he were frozen, and he was wearing the same exact clothes and shoes he had worn the night at his 9th birthday party last year. "Evan?"
"Five days." Evan said faintly as he reached out his left hand and stepped towards the doorway of the classroom.
A now shocked and terrified Tyler stood up, picking up his arm-desk as a result, having forgotten that he was sitting in it, and it fell to the floor, followed by him starting to back up.
"Five days." Evan repeated.
Tyler backed up against a window, getting the attention of all the other kids, who got up from their desks and began surrounding him. "It's Evan." He said. "It's Evan." He repeated, pointing at the doorway. The pre-teen boy slid down to the floor, with all of the other kids gathered around him with concern.
Mrs. Winston made her way through the kids and up to Tyler. "You okay?"
