Shortly after they had their conversation, the five of them went to the royal palace.

Korra and Asami couldn't help but be amazed at the architecture of the palace.

As soon as they arrived, they ran into Benja, the chief of Heart.

Raya decided to introduce Korra and Asami as friends she had met who needed a place to spend the night, which the chief kindly accepted.

She also told him about what happened in the square and Benja assured her that he would ask the soldiers to keep their eyes open for anything suspicious in order to avoid another such incident.

After that, they were taken to the kitchen, where Raya prepared for all of them her signature dish.

At that point, they all found themselves at a table enjoying a quiet dinner before going to bed.

"Mmm. I have to hand it to you, Raya. This is delicious." said Korra.

"Thank you. It's a recipe my ba taught me." said Raya.

"Although I would add some spice to it." said Sisu.

"Even the cooks at Sato mansion can't make something like this." said Asami.

"Sato Mansion? Are you someone important in your world?" asked Namaari.

"Well, yes. I'm the head of the Future Industries company, the company that provides vehicles and other things." said Asami.

"What's that about 'vehicles'?" asked Sisu curiously.

"Imagine a chariot that moves without the help of any animals." said Korra.

"Wow. Your world seems much more advanced than ours." said Raya.

"Maybe, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this world has its wonders." said Asami.

"Okay. I have to ask. are you really a couple?" asked Sisu.

"Sisu! Don't be rude." said Raya.

"It's okay. We're used to that question." said Asami.

"And to answer it, yes. We are a couple." said Korra as she and Asami held hands.

"And how long have you two been?" asked Namaari.

"A few months." said Asami.

"How did it all start?" asked Sisu curiously.

"Well, actually, when we first met, we were rivals." said Korra.

"It turns out that at the time, we were both in love with the same man." said Asami.

"What? Really?" asked Raya in surprise.

"Yes. I was the first one to meet him, but Asami was the one who started dating him." said Korra.

"That's when I realized how he really felt about her, and we ended up breaking up." said Asami.

"Wow. That must have been hard." said Namaari.

"What happened next?" asked Raya.

"Well, we were boyfriend and girlfriend for a year, but due to certain things, we ended up breaking up." said Korra remembering when she broke up with Mako during the Water Tribes civil war.

"And after that, he and I started dating again." said Asami.

"Wow. Some soap opera." said Sisu.

"One thing led to another, and we broke up again." said Asami.

"In the end, we all stayed friends." said Korra.

"It must have been very complicated for you." said Raya.

"Actually, I think he suffered the most." said Namaari making them all laugh lightly.

Back in Korra and Asami's world, a certain firebender let out a sneeze.

"A cold?" asked Bolin.

"No, but I got the feeling someone was talking about me. And in a mean and humiliating way." said Mako.

"And then you realized how you felt about each other?" asked Raya.

"Well, that didn't happen until a while later, when I had to go away for a couple of years." said Korra.

"Of all the people, I was the only one she corresponded with on a daily basis. That made us understand how much we cared about each other." said Asami.

"When we resolved a certain issue, we went on vacation to the spirit world. That's where we confessed." said Korra looking at her girlfriend.

"And I wouldn't have picked a better time for it." said Asami before she and Korra gave each other a quick kiss on the lips.

"AWE." said all three in unison.

"It's so nice." said Sisu wiping a tear from her face.

"I'm glad you two are happy." said Namaari.

"Thank you and I hope you two are too." said Korra.

"Why do you say that?" asked Raya with an arched eyebrow.

"Well, you two are a couple too, right?" asked Asami.

That made both Raya and Namaari go completely red in the face while Sisu burst out laughing with her hands holding her sides.

"HAHAHA. You should see your faces. HAHAHA." said Sisu.

"N-N-No! You are totally wrong!" said Raya.

"Y-Yes! We're just friends! Nothing more than that!" said Namaari.

"And just that!" said the two in unison.

Korra and Asami stared at that for a few seconds before looking at each other with a smile and a narrowed gaze, as they could see the opposite of what they were saying was happening.

"Okay… If you say so." said Korra.

"I'm sorry I got confused, but you were looking the part." said Asami.

"Well, we didn't look it, okay?!" asked Raya, crossing her arms.

"Yes!" said Namaari crossing her arms as well.

At that moment, Sisu approached the couple with one side of her mouth covered with the back of her hand.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice." whispered Sisu before giving them a wink, which they returned.

"Well, if that's all, I think we'd better go to sleep now." said Korra.

"Y-Yeah, you're right." said Raya pulling herself together.

After that, they all went to their respective rooms to sleep.

Korra and Asami were given a room with only one bed, since it wouldn't be appropriate to leave them in separate rooms.

With everything settled, they all laid down to sleep for the remainder of the night.

Now we found ourselves in an unknown corridor, lit by torches.

Walking along it were the two hooded men who had apparently caused the fire in the square.

The two continued walking until they reached a door guarded by two other hooded men.

"We come to see the leader." said the first person.

Both guards nodded before opening the door, allowing the first two hooded men to enter.

Once they entered, the guards closed the door.

The two hooded men stood in a torchlit room, and, in the center, a cloaked and hooded person could be seen holding a spear whose blade ended in three curved claw-like points.

In front of that person was a giant stone disk that had the symbol of the dragon engraved across the three lines.

In the next instant, the two hooded men knelt before him.

"The worthy will be saved…" began the leader without turning to look at them.

"And the damned will die." said the hooded ones in unison.

"How did the mission I gave you go?" asked the leader.

"Excellently, sir. Our cloaked members will soon get the message and mobilize." said the first person.

"Good. After so many centuries, we will all be reunited." said the leader.

"Although… There is something we would like to tell you." said the second person.

"Tell." said the leader.

"When we set that fire, there were two people who I think would get your attention." said the second person.

"The first is the famous dragon known as Sisu and the other was a girl with a somewhat… unusual power." said the first person.

"Unusual?" asked the leader.

"She was able to displace the water from the fountain into the fire without any problem." said the second person.

Even if his face was showing, the leader was surprised by that revelation.

"Are you sure of what you say?" asked the leader.

"We would never lie to you, sir. We saw it with our own eyes." said the first person.

"After the fire was taken care of, she left together with the dragoness and friends." said the second person.

"Mmm." expressed the leader immersed in his thoughts. "The Sisu thing was to be expected, given her relationship with the princess of Heart, but that girl you say, the one who controls the water. I can tell there's more to her than meets the eye."

"What do we do then, sir? Should we take care of her?" asked the first person.

"For the time being, we will focus on our plan. We mustn't be distracted when we are so close to accomplishing it." said the leader.

"As you command, sir." said the hooded men.

"You may go in peace." said the leader, causing the two hooded men to get up and leave the room.

Once alone, the leader focused his gaze on the symbol carved in stone.

"Oh, divine being, is that girl the key… to your deliverance?" asked the leader.

The sun was rising on a new day.

The sun's rays pierced through the curtains of the room Korra and Asami were staying in, striking the Avatar's face, who let out a slight groan as she opened her eyes.

The first thing she noticed was the room she was in, briefly remembering that she was in another world and feeling an arm over herself, she remembered that she wasn't alone.

A smile graced her face as she turned her head to see her girlfriend Asami sleeping peacefully and smiling.

How did she get someone like that as a girlfriend? That was a question she often asked herself.

It wasn't long before Asami opened her eyes as well and saw her girlfriend looking at her with a smile.

"Good morning." said Korra.

"Enjoying the view, huh?" asked Asami.

"Well, I love them." said Korra.

Asami smiled at her before giving her a small kiss on the lips.

"I'm so glad you let me accompany you on this mission." said Asami.

"What can I say? You're good at convincing people." said Korra.

"One of the perks of being the head of a major company. Knowing how to use the right words." said Asami winking at her.

"You know? I wish we could stay like this a while longer." said Korra.

"Me too, but you know we have a mission to accomplish. We'll have more moments like this." said Asami.

"Yeah, you're right." said Korra getting out of bed, followed by her girlfriend.

After getting ready, they went to leave the room, but the moment they opened the door, they were surprised to see Sisu standing in front of the door with her fist raised ready to knock.

"Oh. Hello, girls." said Sisu.

"Sisu, what are you doing here?" asked Korra.

"I didn't see you when I went to breakfast and I figured you'd still be in the room, so I came to wake you up." said Sisu.

"Oh, thanks for the thoughtfulness." said Asami.

"Did Raya and Namaari wake up earlier or something?" asked Korra.

"Yes. Namaari said she had a suspicion about the symbol Asami saw last night and the two of them went to the library to do some research." said Sisu.

"Really? In that case, I think we should go give them a hand." said Korra.

"I agree, would you mind leading us to the library?" asked Asami.

"Sure. Follow me." said Sisu leading the way for the pair.

"By the way, why aren't you with them?" asked Korra curiously.

"Well, I'm not a fan of books. Besides, I wanted to leave them some time to themselves." said Sisu.

"Hihi. It's so obvious that there's something between them." said Asami.

"You're telling me. You don't know how much I wish they would finally take the plunge." said Sisu.

"I understand how you feel, but this is something they have to do on their own." said Korra.

"That's right. Take us as an example. It took us years to realize how we felt." said Asami.

"But I don't want to wait years." said Sisu whining like a child.

"Well, maybe you'll just have to wait less time than that." said Korra with a smile.

Finally, they arrived at the palace library, where, as they opened the doors, they saw many shelves full of books and scrolls, as well as tables and chairs so they could read them better.

At one of those tables, there were Raya and Namaari sitting very close to each other, though reading separate books.

"Hey, girls." said Korra getting their attention.

"Oh, hi, girls." said Raya.

"Sisu told us that you were investigating something about the symbol I found. What's that about now?" asked Asami curiously.

"From the moment I saw that symbol, I had a feeling like I saw it somewhere before. So, I told Raya about it and then, we came here." said Namaari.

"Why didn't you tell us about it?" asked Korra.

"You weren't around at the time and not knowing if you were still asleep, we didn't want to disturb you." said Raya.

"That's okay. Is there anything we can help with then?" asked Korra.

"You could go through these other books until you find what something about that symbol." said Raya pointing to a pile of books nearby.

"Sure." began Asami as she and Korra sat down on the other side of the table and started going through books. "Will you join us, Sisu?"

"It's not like I have anything else better to do either." said Sisu with a shrug before settling down to read books.

For most of the morning, the five of them spent it in the library going through book after book, looking for something about the symbol left behind by those who set the fire.

"Agh. We've been at this for hours. There might not be anything about that symbol in the end." said Sisu, who was lying on a pile of books, before throwing down the book she was looking through earlier.

"You may be right. So far, we haven't found anything." said Raya.

Asami turned the page of another book and then found something that made her eyes widen all the way.

"Not quite. Come." said Asami, causing them all to crowd around her.

Looking at the engineer's book, they saw a picture of the dragon symbol with three lines crossing it.

"That's the symbol." said Korra.

"According to this book. It was a symbol they used to use in the kingdom of… Horn?" asked Asami.

That made Raya and Namaari's eyes widen from shock.

"Horn? I don't know of a kingdom by that name." said Sisu.

"That's because it doesn't exist anymore." said Raya.

"Not for a long time." said Namaari.

"Do you know what this is about?" asked Korra.

"Sort of. It was a story ba used to tell me when I was a kid." said Raya.

"Just like a history lesson my mother used to tell me about." said Namaari.

"What is this kingdom of Horn?" asked Korra.

"You know that in this world, people worship dragons, right?" asked Namaari.

"Yes. That's right." said Asami.

"You see, many years after the five kingdoms you know were formed, some people began to question their belief in dragons to the point where they worshipped other creatures." said Raya.

"What kind of creatures?" asked Korra.

"I think my mother called them 'byakko'." said Namaari.

That made Sisu gasp in horror.

"Wait, did you say byakko?!" asked Sisu with a panicked expression as she held Namaari's shoulders.

"What's a byakko?" asked Korra.

"They are the most evil and cruel beings you have ever heard of!" said Sisu.

"How is it that you know about them?" asked Raya.

"From a story my siblings used to tell me when I was just a little baby." said Sisu.

"What did they tell you about it?" asked Namaari.

"Long ago, before Kumandra was formed, there was a race that dwelled alongside humans and dragons, the byakko. However, while the dragons sought harmony with the humans, the byakko sought destruction." said Sisu.

"Sounds almost like Raava and Vaatu." said Korra.

"Who?" asked Raya in confusion.

"The oldest spirits of our world. Raava is the spirit of light and order while Vaatu is the spirit of darkness and chaos." said Korra without telling details about what happened during the Magic Convergence.

"Well, lucky for you, there was only one, but the byakko were as many as there were dragons." began Sisu surprising the others. "For centuries, there were battles between humans and dragons against the byakko. Tired of so many battles, the human and dragon leaders planned something to wipe them all out."

"You mean they exterminated them?" asked Asami.

"No. From what they told me, they wanted to end it all peacefully, without causing any more deaths. To do so, between the two races, combining human engineering and dragon magic, they created a kind of gate connecting to a realm of empty darkness. When they opened it, they managed to absorb all the byakko, banishing them to the dark realm. After that, they kept the gate in a place where no one would ever find it." said Sisu finishing the story.

"Then, it seems that some people found out about the existence of the byakko and started to worship them." said Asami.

"Yes. Those people weren't well received in the kingdoms because of that, so they decided to leave and form a sixth kingdom at the tip of the dragon river horn." said Raya.

"The kingdom of Horn." said Korra.

"For years, Horn remained peaceful, with its people worshipping the byakko freely. However, things changed some time later." said Namaari.

"What happened?" asked Sisu.

"The chief of Horn at the time was tired of only one kingdom worshipping the byakko while the others worshipped dragons, so he decided to expand his influence throughout the other kingdoms. Starting with Fang, Heart, and Spine." said Namaari.

"Several battles happened until, in the end, the three kingdoms decided to ally." said Raya.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." said Korra.

"That's right. That was the first time in years that the kingdoms of Kumandra, or at least, a few of them, came together for a common goal." said Raya.

"In the end, not only did they manage to repel their forces, but they came to the conclusion that Horn was too dangerous, so they launched a major attack to destroy the kingdom." said Namaari, to the surprise of the listeners.

"What? I understand that Horn started the attack, but to annihilate the whole thing? That's extermination!" said Sisu.

"Those were different times, and if it's any consolation, something like that hasn't been done since." said Raya.

"That's a relief." said Korra.

"What happened to Horn after that?" asked Asami.

"They erased its trail from the maps to make it look like it never existed. However, it was kept as a story. Most likely to ensure that future chiefs wouldn't commit the same acts." said Namaari.

"While Heart, Fang and Spine returned to their previous state with a peace agreement between them as well as a treaty of alliance in case of need." said Raya.

"Are you sure no one else knows about this story?" asked Sisu.

"Only the chiefs and their successors know about it. For the rest of the people, it is as if none of it happened." said Namaari.

"Well, there seems to be a group of people who know about this story." said Korra.

"Yes, and the fact that they drew this symbol can't be coincidence." said Asami.

"Then why would they set fire to that building? It had no meaning." said Raya.

"Who knows, but one thing is clear. If there is a group that worships the byakko, then they must be planning something very big and dangerous." said Korra.

The five became nervous, as they couldn't imagine what these people could be planning.
