Once again, Luna couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about the vision she had and Giratina, and a thought popped into her head. What if she just went there to talk to Giratina? Her abilities enabled her to travel between her world and the distortion world. There was no way she'd get past Julia at this point because she was knitting in the living room. She'd have to sneak out directly from her room.

Quickly threw on some clothes and stood at the edge of her bed. Luna raised an arm and focused. A black dot in front of her grew, and grew, like some invasive fungus of darkness until it was her size. She hopped through the portal, Tofu and Batuffolo following suit.

The distortion world beneath twinleaf town was dark and full of tangled trees. She would have to trek until she found Giratina. Or until Giratina found her. she moved north, or at least, she thought it was north. In the distortion world directions were hard to tell. Places changed and moved, designed to disorient, and trap.

She called Giratina's name for hours and hours, She hadn't talked to it since the Kalos Crisis. But finally, she heard a low rumble.

Giratina's great black wings grew above her, she whirled around, and there it was. Giratina, in all its might and horror. It towered above her.

Welcome back child.

Luna gave a low bow. Not facing the thing.

you came.

"Yes. I came to understand the warning you gave me."

Here you will understand nothing.

A frown crossed Luna's face as she stood up, lost in it's dark stormy eyes.

You are in danger, child.

"Who is after me?"

The beast did not reply. It shook it's great wings and flew around her spot on the floating landmass, until it finally settled along with her on the ground, causing it to shake as it landed.

You cannot end it alone.

"What do I need to do?" the beast paused, it looked impatient, her questions were futile.

Your blessing from me is the only thing that will give you a chance. But it is not enough.

Luna decided to remain silent. Angering the pokemon was dangerous, far too great a risk.

Once the time is near, you must go to Turnback Cave, I shall await you.

Giratina was about to lift off, but it turned once more to face Luna. It's giant head came in close, she was face to face with the pokemon. She shakily raised an arm. Its forehead touched her palm for a second. And then it was gone. Luna stood still in the distortion world. Giratina wasn't much of a talker. In fact, that was the longest conversation she'd ever had with it. Turnback cave. What did it mean? He was going to await her? To do what? Would it battle alongside her?

Luna had more questions than she had started out with. And that was a big problem, but right now, she needed to get back home before it was morning. She opened up a portal and lept through.

She was spat out on the outskirts of Orenburg city. It was still dark out, thank Arceus. She quickly called out her driftblim and the champion was on her way back to twinleaf.

Luna came downstairs to the kitchen groggily. Julia was already dressed, Luna hadn't bothered to change out of her Grey sweatpants and pink hoodie. She rubbed her eyes sleepily. It was around 9 am.

"Where have you been young lady?" Julia said with a pointed tone.

"What are you talking about?" Luna said cooly.

"You can't hide things from me Missus," Julia poured her sort-of niece a cup of tea. "You snuck out last night."

"I couldn't sleep." Luna said simply. "Besides, I'm not a little girl." She said frustrated.

"That isn't the point. You haven't healed all the way, you came here to rest." Julia handed her her mug.

"I had to talk to Giratina." Luna huffed.

The room fell silent. Julia knew about her ability to pass between the distortion world. She had done it several times when she was a kid, even brought her to specialists in Alola to help her control it. She didn't know much about Giratina, only that it was an incredibly dangerous pokemon from legend and had somehow helped Luna to survive childbirth.

"It said I'm in danger, and that I couldn't make it alone." There was another silence in the room. "It didn't say much else. It got me nowhere." Luna cradled the mug in her hands while Julia sighed deeply. She took the rag from her apron and started scrubbing the counter where she had spilled some hot water.

"Go on then. Go back to bed." Luna sleepily looked at her. She hadn't rested properly in a while, but there was work to do on the farm. "I will handle the wool for today. "Julia said. Luna was about to protest, but Julia shooed her away to her room. If Giratina warned her about danger, it must be something its ready to fight for, just like the Kalos Crisis.

Luna didn't sleep. She was already awake. She got dressed into a knitted sweater and a pair of old black overalls, she was going to work to clear her head. She opened up the window to her room and sent out her Driftblim quietly. She creeped out the window onto Blimp and they were off to Jubilife.

On the way, Luna had a bad feeling in her stomach. Memories of her waking up in a cold bed in a grand villa in the resort area filled her mind. And now he was here. Something didn't sit right about it. She didn't forgive him. Sure he made a mistake, but it was a pretty bad mistake. Luna grumbled to herself, unlocking the yarn shop and walking in.

The day was rather slow. Not many customers showed, but Luna was grateful because it gave her time to think in silence about the situation. About the attack, about Giratina, about Steven. Until her phone buzzed, pulling her out of her thoughts. It was Byron.

"Hello?"

"Hey Champ. Might wanna come to Veilstone. We got something to show ya." He chuckled proudly. Byron had been working day and night for months on the Sinnoh centre in Veilstone. Luna hurriedly left the shop to fly over.

The building was incredible, looming over the city was a grand red and white edifice. Columns at its entrance, and glass gleaming in the sunlight, banners reading 'SINNOH CENTRE' flitting in the wind, it was perfect. Everything she imagined and more. It was glorious. Byron and Roark were standing in front of it as she touched down on the ground. She threw herself into Byron's hug.

"I'm speechless." She breathed, looking at it.

"Wait till you see the inside." Roark said with a wink. The trio walked around the atrium of the building, it was still unfurnished, but Byron assured her they had already organized everything to be decorated by a team of specialists from Kalos and Sinnoh. The grand foyer was spacious, her voice echoed around the walls. Up a short flight of stairs was the first few secondary halls, which were set up to surround the main hall. It would be a good place for conferences or an inaugural event, which Luna had yet to plan.

She had already imagined it though. There would be mini sessions leading up to the main event in different locations around Sinnoh, Canalave library, Moomoo café, and the pokemon mansion. Then those would lead up to a finale, which would be the inauguration of the Sinnoh centre, where veilstone philharmonic would play alongside the Hearthome ballet company.

Luna took out her agenda to write some notes for the inauguration event and was quickly overcome with plans and preparations for the Sinnoh centre, when Cynthia walked in, greeting the two gym leaders.

"Oh Luna! Aren't you supposed to be resting at home? How are you feeling? I saw what happened on tv." The older woman said.

"I feel fine, I'm at work today." Luna replied.

The four of them walked about, exploring the empty building. That's when Cynthia spoke again,

"Steven called me." Cynthia said. Luna's face stiffened. "What?

"What did he say?"

"I'm not going to tell you unless you tell me what happened between you two because you get all weird whenever he's mentioned."

"I don't get weird."

"Then what's that face for?" Cynthia asked.

"Look, we had a…falling out. We're not on the best terms."

"Really? He seemed very worried about you, he asked me to check up on you and your injuries." Cynthia explained curious. "What did you fall out about?" she inquired.

"Nothing." Cynthia was silent for a while, but she wasn't going to give up.

"Champions don't always get along. Do you know how many headbutts I had with Lance over the years?" she laughed. "If it's something I can help with-"

"It's not. it's purely personal." Luna cut her off, effectively shutting down the conversation.

A few months passed. The Minis had gone swimmingly well, and it was September. The Sinnoh centre was being prepared for its inauguration. Currently it was evening, and Luna was glued to the Tv.

"Come on Jule! It's starting!" she yelled to the kitchen, where Julia was bringing a tray with two mugs of tea to the coffee table near the couch. On the TV, a presenter spoke.

"And now the moment everyone's been waiting for! Our challenger Serena comes face to face with Kalos Champion, Diantha!" The previous battles had been thrilling, Luna was sure Serena would take the title. She had already called a few of her appointments in Kalos to move them to a few days from now in between the battles of the elite four. She had her computer open and was currently looking for express trains or flights to Kalos.

Julia set down the tray and handed her niece her mug, Delcatty, (called Mitten) hoped into her lap as she sat down on the couch next to her. Ampharos also was sitting next to Julia, he quickly stole a biscuit from the tray.

The battle seemed to go on for hours, they were neck and neck. It was thrilling and Luna was on the edge of her seat as Serena's Pangoro threw out a crunch to Diantha's mega gardevoir, ending the battle. Luna yelled and leaped up from the couch, waking the sleeping Delcatty and Skitty. Serena had become champion, and soon enough, Luna would be on her way to Kalos for her championship ceremony.

Luna spent the rest of her evening organizing visits in Kalos. She flicked through the pages of her agenda, interview with Lumiose press Tuesday, Visit with the megaevolution master Wednesday, Lumiose Art meeting on Thursday morning and Maison Lumiose private show in the afternoon. A special guest appearance on Kalos Tv to judge some pokemon PR videos clips from PR video studio on friday. She blocked out the weekend for some battles at the battle Maison, booking her train ticket for Kiloude city. She was quite full of stuff to do. She loved Kalos, alongside Unova, it was always a pleasure to return.

Her phone buzzed. It was Victor Neren. She checked the message.

'Dearest champion Renn, Kalos championship ceremony will be fixed for Sunday 26th September. Have a good evening. Neren.'

She jotted down the ceremony date and turned to Julia smiling.

"What should I wear?" She asked.

"it's going to be warmer in Kalos, still end of summer. put something light, maybe a black mesh, or perhaps a wrap dress?" Julia tapped her chin in thought. "Ah! I have just the thing." She hopped up and went to the sewing machine in the studio room. The studio was a sort of crafting room for the two women. it used to be Julia's chambers when she was a maid for Callisto, but some time before Luna was born, they gave her a guest bedroom upstairs and converted the room downstairs for creative stuff.

Luna followed her as watched as she took out a sketchbook. She started to sketch out the outline of a woman and made a short dress with knots coming off the side, a wrap dress but made sheer. It looked sexy, but mysterious, and perfect for an end of summer evening. Julia picked out a black fabric and was so excited she got to work straight away. She hadn't been terribly interested in the champion title battle; she wasn't much of a trainer per sé.

As Julia got to work, Luna instead flipped open her computer which was sat closed on the coffee table in the living room, she had appointments to move. Her phone buzzed.

'if you need help packing, call me. Xoxo c.'

Luna smiled at the text from Cynthia.

'go on vacation or something.'

Luna laughed at her own reply. she amused herself. She wrote to the Elite four calling for a meeting to organize the surveillance of the Region while she was away in Kalos. Bertha replied straight away, saying a meeting was unnecessary, and that she should prepare to leave straight away. Flint agreed. Aaron and Lucian disagreed, but said the decision was up to Luna. The champion insisted on the meeting. There were preparations to make for the Sinnoh centre's opening.

Luna shut her phone and thought deeply. Perhaps there were some preparations she should also be aware of in Kalos….
