Chapter 8

Memories of Fear

Schicksal HQ

The voice inside his head was getting louder and louder every time. But it wasn't the same one from the past. This voice kept demanding. Shigaraki was irritated by it, and kept telling him over and over.

To destroy humanity

Shigaraki kept seeing a black figure in an all white dimension, sitting on a throne. The voice rang out so many times that he wanted to shut the being up. His rage and hatred were still there, he knew what happened to him, he was completely swallowed whole by his master, the one who groomed him his entire life.

This being was no different from him, both demanding something out of him. But every demand always ended up leading back to the boy who stopped him, who tried everything to save him, a villian. And yet, that hero risked everything to save him but it was all for naught.

But he's here now, he doesn't even know what to do, he hasn't done anything to this wretched place yet because he is contemplating on what to do. He doesn't know where he is or how he even is alive. But one thing is for certain, Izuku Midoriya still lives. He needed to see that brat, he needed answers. He heard doors open as he looked to see that man again. His devious grin was etched across his face.

"Good evening, S-001 or should I say Shigaraki Tomura," Otto greeted him.

Shigaraki only stared at him as he lifted his head a bit to see him at eye level.

"I'm sure you have a lot of questions but I have a lot too, after all, you did destroy one of my headquarters,"

Shigaraki didn't care, he couldn't talk because of the mouth guard they strapped on him. He could only listen to this man, whoever he is, just staring at him pissed him off.

"You are a Herrscher now, Shigaraki, a God who is capable of destroying the world,"

A God? Shigaraki was confused, he is a god? What nonsense is this person talking about? Shigaraki only stared at him in confusion.

"Can't you feel it? The voice inside your head, and the limitless power you have as well," Otto kept rambling on as Shigaraki concentrated as he started to feel it. Something was inside of him, it wasn't decay nor All for One.

This core radiated an energy he wasn't familiar with. It was spreading throughout his body.

"I have a proposition, join me Shigaraki, and I'll help you harness your power," Otto offered as he had that same grin when he walked into the room.

Shigaraki only stared at him as he didn't move, Otto was waiting for his answer but nothing happened.

Otto turned around as he looked at the two guards standing by the door. "Make sure he doesn't do anything,"

They saluted him as he walked towards the door, "I hope to hear your answer very soon, Shigaraki,"

He exited the room as Shigaraki was left with his thoughts, his anger and hatred, but they were overlapped by confusion.

With Raiden Mei

Raiden Mei heard screams when she was walking towards her hotel. She received a text from Raven that she needed to report about her findings about her target but she didn't find anything yet, she didn't have any answers that answered her question about the mysterious boy.

Before she could even think more she heard the sudden scream not far from the place she was walking. She ran towards it as she had her hand on her sword, ready to draw it. She saw a couple running towards her as they stopped in front of her,

"Please, you have to help! A honkai beast appeared and there's someone distracting it," the girl frantically pleaded.

Mei nodded, "Stay here, make sure no one else comes here," she started to run towards the direction that they ran from.

She was expecting a casualty of sorts, but when she arrived on the scene, she saw Izuku, on top of a Templar. She widened her eyes, watching Izuku plunge a black blade into its head.

Making the beast violently squirm around, trying to shake off Izuku but Mei heard two words come out of his mouth. They were cold and harsh.

"Black Maiden…"

After that, she saw black spikes erupt from the Templar's body, the beast stopped moving as it then fell to the floor, Izuku rolled off of it as he looked at the Beast's discentigrating body. Mei then saw the light slowly regain from his eyes. Mei was about to approach him but then he clenched his head in pain as if something was corrupting his mind.

Mei thought it was the honkai energy plaguing his mind as she rushed to his side. She examined his body to make sure no honkai energy was infecting him but there was nothing that seemed damaged. She looked at him as if he was remembering something.

"Does he remember something?" She wondered. She touched his face as she saw Izuku slowly regain consciousness.

"Izuku? Are you Alright?"

"Huh?" Izuku blinked a bit as he looked Mei in the eyes for a solid second. He looked around as he tried to remember what happened. He then widened his eyes in shock as he looked at his hand to see that it was normal but the 'scar' was still there.

"Izuku?"

He looked up at her as he was still confused about what happened. "Raiden-san? What happened?"

He asked as his mind was a bit hazy, he blacked out as soon as the Templar was about to jab its lance into him.

"You don't remember?" She asked as the boy shook his head.

Mei stood up as she looked back at the disintegrating honkai beast, the power that Izuku displayed again was a mystery. But this time, she wondered what those black tendrils were.

She then offered her hand to him as he looked at it as he grabbed it. He lifted himself up as he kept looking at his right arm. The 'scar' was something else that was inside his arm. He didn't know what it was as he wondered what was going on with him.

Especially that voice that called him, they called him 'Hope'

He never understood that or why that person called him that. It was all strange to him, so many questions kept appearing now, which eventually tired him out.

"Um Izuku?" Mei called out again.

Izuku looked up at her as she looked at his hand, he followed her gaze when he noticed what she was looking at. He was holding hands for quite a while now.

He immediately let go as he repeatedly bowed his head, "I'msosorrypleaseforgiveme,"

She smiled as cleared her throat to get his attention again.

He stopped as he looked at her as he scratched his head in embarrassment.

"It's fine, but are you sure you're okay?"

Izuku looked at her as he looked around his body to make sure he wasn't injured, especially his right arm. He didn't know what that black mass on his arm was about but it protected him from getting majorly injured.

He nodded, "I'm fine, I don't seem to have any scratches,"

Mei sighed as she was relieved that he wasn't gravely injured. But it still concerned her that he doesn't remember what he did, it was almost as if he was possessed by something. She really hoped it wasn't the honkai taking over. Mei's curiosity increased even further when she saw how well he maneuvered around the Templar.

Mei then looked at his right arm as she saw the new 'scar' on his right arm. She grabbed his hand as she examined the 'scar' that she had not seen before.

"How did you get this? Was it from the Honkai Beast from the other day or was it from the one who attacked you now?" She asked him.

Izuku scratched his head with his other hand, "I'm not too sure, I saw it when I got discharged from the hospital,"

Mei was concerned, Izuku's body was changing. She didn't know why but she deduced that it had something to do with that strange flame inside of him. She had to keep an eye on him, getting attacked twice by honkai is not a coincidence.

Then for a single moment, she felt a honkai energy that leveled a Herrschers as she swiftly looked up at a building but she saw nothing. She squinted her eyes, she felt it but it vanished in an instant.

Izuku looked at Mei as he was confused at what she was looking at but then he heard his phone ring as he pulled it out and saw Fauth calling him.

He answered, "Hello?"

"Where are you! It's almost 10 o'clock, did something happen along the way?"

He heard her shout, "Um well…"

"Izuku, is everything okay? You didn't get hurt again did you?"

Izuku was trying to come up with an answer, he didn't want to flat out say that he was attacked again. That would increase her worries even more. While he was thinking of an answer, Mei looked at him as she walked up to him as she swiftly grabbed the phone from him.

Izuku was shocked at her action as he looked at her in bewilderment.

"Hello, Faith? It's me, Raiden Mei,"

Izuku couldn't hear what Faith was saying but he could tell that she was even more confused.

"There was a Honkai beast attack but Izuku is alright,"

Izuku waited for her as they had a couple of chats as he saw Mei nodded in response to everything that she said.

"Okay, I'll take him home,"

Izuku froze a bit as he looked at Mei in bewilderment again.

"Wait what?" Izuku asked.

"Understood," she said as she hung up the phone as she handed Izuku his phone back. He looked at it then back at Mei in confusion.

"What just happened?" He blinked.

Mei walked ahead as she turned to Izuku, "Faith told me to take you home, so I'll be taking you back to your apartment,"

Izuku widened his eyes, "Huh?! Wait hold on, you don't have to do that Raiden-san, I don't want to waste your time,"

"It's fine, I want to, plus…" she softly smiled.

"This is to make up for the times we were going to chat in the park," she said.

Izuku blushed a bit as he shook his head, "A-Alright,"

But before they could head towards Izuku's apartment, they heard a couple of footsteps approaching them as they both looked to see the couple from before.

"Sir are you okay?" The man asked.

"Huh yeah I'm alright are you two hurt?" Izuku asked.

They both shook their heads, "Thanks to you sir and you as well Mrs. Valkyrie,"

Mei shook her head, "I just appeared just in time,"

The woman sighed, "I'm just glad you're alright, if it weren't for the Valkyrie, who knows what could happen,"

Izuku nodded, "I got lucky,"

"But even so, you still helped us, thank you again," the man and woman bowed their heads towards Izuku as the latter frantically waved his hands.

"Please raise your heads. I didn't do much," he said. Mei looked at him as she giggled a bit.

Izuku felt embarrassed a bit as it was the same thing as when he saved that child.

After a couple of minutes, the couple went their opposite ways, thanking the two.

"Alright shall we go?" Mei said.

Izuku nodded as he led the way to his apartment. He looked at Mei, "You know you didn't have to do this," he said.

"Already told you, I wanted to make the time for us to talk again just like in the park last time," Mei said to him.

Izuku blushed a bit as he looked away from her, "Right, that…"

Mei looked at him as she never truly understood Izuku, his sudden appearance in this city and the strange power that he had been using. She felt no honkai energy from him, throughout the entire time she had been with him, she was checking to see if he had even a smidgen of honkai energy but nothing yet.

But there was also one thing that was plaguing her mind, why was he so eager to help someone. Jumping into danger in order to save someone, even without powers. He chose to jump in the fire.

"Izuku?"

He turned to her as he looked at her again, "Hm?"

"Why do you always get into danger when someone else is in danger?" She asked.

Izuku pondered on her question, he too wondered why he always risked his life. He didn't know why either but whenever he saw someone in danger, his heart told him to save them, even if he didn't know how to use his powers, he still tried to save them.

"I…don't know to be honest…"

Mei watched as his facial expression was focused, trying to find the answer to her question.

"I know in my mind that everytime I jump into danger, I could die," Izuku continued.

"So why then," Mei wanted to know more about the amnesia boy. There were so many mysteries around the boy but mostly what piqued her interest was the way he would always try to help a person. Just like a white haired girl she knew.

Izuku thought deeply about it as he placed his hand on his heart. Feeling the roaring flames inside, he looked at her. Mei widened her eyes as she saw determination and passion in his eyes.

"My heart forces my body to move on its own…to Save the person right in front of me, to reach them,"

Mei slightly blushed a bit but it wasn't noticeable. She didn't expect this answer from him. She was astonished at his answer, without even hesitating, the answer was something more than she expected.

"I see," she said as she smiled.

Izuku scratched his head, he then looked at a billboard. It was promoting aspiring Valkyries to join the fight against the Honkai. He then looked at her, "Raiden-san, why did you become a Valkyrie,"

Mei widened her eyes as she thought about his question.

"Why I became a Valkyrie…"

Izuku widened his eyes as he saw sadness and regret in her eyes.

"I became a Valkyrie so that I can become strong…"

Mei looked at her hands as electricity came out from it, "Strong enough to protect the people I care about, so that they don't have to get hurt, I won't become the weaker version of myself anymore,"

Izuku looked at her in awe, her resolve and her passion to protect her friends was something that Izuku found attractive to her… Izuku widened his eyes as he shook his head. Shaking that thought away, he looked at her again.

"To be strong enough to protect the people you care about…huh…" Izuku looked at his scarred hand.

Mei looked at Izuku as he was looking at his right arm.

"You really are amazing, Raiden-san," he said.

She widened her eyes as she saw Izuku's eyes. He clenched his hand into a fist.

"I want to be strong too… strong enough so that nobody has to worry about me, I'm worrying Faith, Henry, and Dan too much," Izuku said.

He looked at Mei as the latter was in awe, Izuju smiled at her, "I get what you're saying Raiden-san, to be strong enough to protect those you care about, no wonder why you're so strong Raiden-san,"

Her eyes glistened a bit as Izuku smiled at her. She smiled at him as they both came to an understanding, Izuku knew why she was so strong, it was because she wanted to protect the things that she cared about. He found that admirable, he too hoped that he could be that strong.

"Thanks, Izuku," she said as she found and even more reason to keep an eye on him. His words, it helped her. Realizing that her actions were all for the ones she cared for, so that she wouldn't have to feel powerless, to fight and protect the ones she loves.

Izuku nodded as he looked ahead as he saw his apartment complex a couple blocks away. He walked ahead of her as he turned and pointed behind him, "That's my apartment complex up ahead, thanks for walking with me Raiden-san,"

She nodded, "Anytime, let's have these talks again in the park some other time,"

Izuku smiled, "Right! Then I'll see you some other time, Raiden-san,"

He then walked away from her as he headed towards his apartment complex. Mei watched him as she waved him goodbye, she never thought she could open up to someone again but Izuku made that possible. He was strange to her in the beginning but ever since she started to talk to him a bit more, he was slowly creeping into her heart just like Kiana did to her.

She turned as she walked back to her hotel.

As Izuku approached his door to his apartment he realized one thing he forgot, his grocery bag. He had to drop it because of the Honkai Beast.

"I'm going to have to buy new groceries," Izuku comically teared up.

?

"It's definitely him, the one we have to destroy," a puppet said.

"Indeed, that power is too dangerous to be left alone,"

"Then we must release that beast!"

"It is not ready yet, and plus there are still more to be worked on,"

"Then what about the boy?"

"he does not remember who he really is,"

"If that is the case…then let us use that to our advantage,"

"Together, the Legion will crush that Hope,"

The next day

Izuku yawned a bit as he looked at his fridge, it was almost empty, he still was sad about leaving his groceries on the ground that night. He needed to go get more groceries. Good thing that he still had a day off from school and work.

He got dressed in casual gray shorts with a plain white t-shirt and a blue hoodie over the shirt. He walked out of his apartment only to be greeted by Faith.

He widened his eyes as he jumped a little, "Faith?! Jesus, you scared me a bit there,"

She raised her eyebrows, "I scared you? You scared me when Raiden told me you got attacked again!"

Izuku winced as Faith had her arms crossed and sighed, "Jesus Izuku, it's like trouble always finds you in the most random way possible,"

"I'm sorry for worrying you Faith," he apologized again.

Faith then grabbed his shoulders as he looked at her, she had a serious expression when she looked at him. Izuku didn't know why she had that serious look on her face but it was concerning.

"Also Izuku…" she said.

Izuku waited in anticipation, "What is it?"

"What is the relationship between you and Raiden?"

Izuku blinked in confusion, "We're just friends I believe,"

Faith squinted her eyes in doubt, "Are you sure? Because she didn't even disagree when I asked her to walk you home,"

Izuku sighed, "Yes, we're just friends,"

She still had doubt in her eyes, "Alright but I'm watching you Izuku, if she ever becomes something more-"

"Alright Faith I gotta go buy groceries again, I'll see later!" Izuku ran past her before she could finish her sentence.

Izuku had a hint of red on his face. He shook his head as he was a bit embarrassed about what Faith was about to say.

Izuku headed towards the direction of the store. Izuku looked ahead of him as the sidewalk was filled with people. He stopped at a light as he looked at a window of a store, it had a mirror on the other side as he peered into it. He saw his reflection but in a suit with a yellow scarf, the reflection's eyes were hollow and empty, tired, bearing every burden imaginable.

Izuku shook his head as he looked at the mirror again but it went normal. He then saw the light turn green for him to walk as he started to walk again. Izuku arrived at the grocery store as he bought the same ingredients and supplies as last time as he exited the store.

This time he would relax at home for a bit since he had a long day yesterday.

He wanted to text Dan if he was alright but he was In class right now so he didn't want to bother him.

"Izuku?"

A voice called out to him as he turned to see Gabriel out shopping as well.

"I didn't know you were discharged from the hospital?" He said as he walked up to Izuku.

"Yeah just yesterday, I'm getting groceries right now,"

Gabriel smiled, "Is that so? Well, come to the cafe, there's a ton of gifts left for you,"

Izuku nodded as he walked with Gabriel to the cafe, "So how is your arm, I heard you broke it but I don't see a cast?" His boss asked.

"It healed overnight strangely enough, even my ribs feel fine," Izuku answered as Gabriel was in thought.

"Must've been the medicine they gave you, probably worked a little too well," he said.

Izuku nodded, "I think so too, but why did everyone send gifts anyway?"

Gabriel looked at him like he was dumb,"Come on kid really? Everyone who comes to the cafe likes you and also you helped out a lot when you first arrived here,"

Izuku awkwardly laughed, "I didn't really do much,"

"Come on, you helped my business boom and also that little girl comes to the cafe every time with her mom," Gabriel pointed out.

Izuku remembered that the girl he saved did come in everytime he was working.

"Though you gotta stop getting yourself into danger kid, you don't have any special powers, so just try to run from the danger okay?" He warned Izuku.

The boy remembered what happened last night, the beast that attacked him and that couple, he blanked out when it was about to kill him but then, once he regained consciousness, he saw Mei. He didn't know if Mei killed it or not but from the look on her face, it was clear that she wasn't the one who killed the Honkai Beast.

Before blanking out, Izuku did remember that the 'scar' on his right arm completely covered his forearm. But after that, it was blank. He also remembered that woman with the veil over her head. He didn't know who she was or why she called him that.

He had so many questions but they couldn't be answered yet.

"And we're here,"

Izuku snapped out of his thoughts as he looked at the cafe.

Gabriel brought his key as he opened the door and gestured to Izuku to come in. He walked in as he looked to the left to see a table full of gifts and fruit baskets.

Izuku blinked in shock as he didn't expect this many gifts.

"I was shocked as well when customers came in here and left gifts for you,"

Izuku walked over as he set the grocery bags. There were many note cards as well on each gift, saying get well or praying for his recovery. Izuku smiled as he didn't know that many people liked him, even though he was just a stranger to them four months ago.

He then looked at one note card as he grabbed it and opened it.

"Get well Mr. Hero!"

The note card said. Izuku knew who wrote this as he couldn't help but feel bubbly reading it but for some odd reason, the word 'Hero' gave him a sense of dread. When he thought of that he then felt his head start to well up in pain as he heard a voice, multiple of them.

"Deku please save us!"

"The world is in shambles right now!"

"we lost almost 76%..."

"Kid, you have to kill her,"

"She can't be saved anymore,"

"Izuku…kill me…"

"Why didn't you save my son!"

"Why didn't you save her!"

"Why couldn't you save them!"

"We trusted you!"

"Why are you still alive!"

"Monster!"

Gabriel heard a slam as he turned around to see Izuku hunched over as he leaned on the table, sweat forming on his forehead as he breathed heavily.

"Izuku are you okay?" He looked at him with worry.

Izuku held his chest as he felt his vision start to shake as he felt his heart race, anxiety welling up inside as the word kept playing out of his head.

"Why!"

"Why!"

"Why!"

"Why!"

"Why!"

"WHY!"

The voices inside his head kept getting louder as it kept repeating over and over on constant replay.

Then a sentence was heard that drained the color from his face, a sentence that made his heart drop.

"You're no Hero,"

"Izuku!"

The boy snapped out of it as he looked to see Gabriel patting him on the back, trying to comfort him.

"Are you okay? Do I need to call an ambulance?"

Izuku shook his head as he wiped his forehead, "No I'm fine, just…"

Gabriel looked at him as he put the pieces together, "Did you remember something?"

Izuku started to panic, those words, why did it cut so deep. As if he failed, why? Why did it hurt so much?

Izuku didn't say anything as he stood up properly, "I'm sorry, I have to go,"

Izuku then stormed out of the cafe, Gabriel shouted for him but the boy ignored it and kept running.

Izuku felt his heart beat faster as his breathing quickened every step he took, he kept hearing it, the voices asking "why"

It plagued his mind, the sentence that he heard from his mind, it hurt him, no it didn't just hurt him, it cut him deep. Like getting stabbed in the stomach.

He then bumped into someone, but he ignored it as he kept running, he wanted it to stop, the constant why's. This feeling inside his chest. It loomed over him, no matter how he tried to run, it kept chasing him. The feeling of guilt and dread.

Why did he feel this way? What was happening to him? Was it because of the attack last night? There were too many questions?

"Hey, Izuku?"

He couldn't breathe anymore, his chest welling up, he felt so trapped, so stuck, trying to get away from these feelings. He didn't want to hear it again, those words that cut him deep. Why did it hurt so much?

"Izuku!"

He then felt someone grab him by his arm as he turned to see Kiana in an orange hoodie, her hood covering her hair as he can only see her facial expression.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?"

Izuku blinked a bit as he slowly calmed down a bit, the voice was still ringing inside his head but he turned his head, looking at his surroundings. He was on the sidewalk, people were staring at them. Some seemed worried about him as Izuku couldn't help but imagine their eyes staring at him with spite, like back then…

Izuku paused for a moment, what did he mean back then? What was this voice and what was this feeling that he felt? It was confusing him to the point where he felt lost.

Kiana was confused, she wanted to get some fresh air before she went to find Izuku to watch over him just to make sure nothing bad happened but when he bumped into her, he was frantic and scared. She didn't know why but she chased him to ask what happened.

Kiana looked around as she couldn't allow herself to be seen like this, but she didn't want to leave Izuku here alone. He seemed distressed and whatever it was, she wanted to help.

"Come with me," she said as she pulled him and started to run away from the crowd. Izuku aimlessly followed her.

"Huh? Wait…"

They got further away from the crowd as Kiana kept dragging him to who knows where. Izuku was still thinking about the voice, the memory.

He then felt Kiana stop as he looked at her, they were away from the crowd and they were by a building as he looked up at it, it was a vacant building, waiting to be bought. Kiana then jumped over the fence as she turned to him, gesturing to him to come over.

Izuku was hesitant a bit but he started to climb over the fence, following after Kiana. As they both entered the building, they climbed a flight of stairs, the building was about eight stories tall. Izuku wondered where Kiana was taking him.

Then they arrived at the roof top as Kiana opened the door, a breeze of fresh air hit Kiana and Izuku as he widened and saw a view of the city, not all of it but it was a nice view nonetheless.

Kiana walked out as she stretched a bit, "Ah, fresh air," she sighed in relaxation.

She turned to Izuku, the latter looked around as he caught her gaze.

"Why are we here Kaslana?" He asked.

"It looked like you needed some space, plus since I came here to this city, this is a place where I can relax a bit," she said.

Kiana looked at him as he was still distressed, she didn't know why she was so fixated on him, maybe it was the mission she was assigned or maybe it was that time in the hospital, the strange flame. But seeing him distressed, she wanted to help him.

"What happened? What made you run in panic?" She asked.

Izuku still felt those words pierce his soul, he didn't know why it affected him so much.

"I remembered something but…"

Izuku clenched his hand as he started to feel it again. Kiana walked up to him as she placed a hand on his shoulder, "It's alright, just take it step by step,"

She then sat down by the door as she patted on the spot next to her as Izuku obliged himself. He sat right next to her, she looked at him, she still saw the distress in his face as he clenched his fist.

"If it's too hard to talk about, then we can just sit here in silence," Kiana said to him.

"I…" Izuku couldn't find the words, he felt overwhelmed by those words inside his head. He didn't know what to do, that came when he read the word hero. But why now? Why did his memories act up now when that girl called him that the first time he saved her but yet when he read those words, it was as if he didn't deserve it.

"I just got overwhelmed by a memory…"

Kiana looked at him as she could tell something else was bothering him. She remembered what Tesla said to him, Kiana deduced that he must've remembered a bad memory.

"You can talk to me, I did say I'll help you when it comes to your memories," she said.

Izuku looked at her as he looked up at the sky, "It was only one word but yet…the memory kept asking,"

Kiana looked at him curiously, "Asked what,"

"Why? It kept saying why, on repeat. It was so overwhelming that it felt like a shadow looming over me, ready to take over," he explained as Kiana looked at him.

"Then it asked me, why was I still alive? I don't know why my memory played that but the person who said that had spite in their words," Izuku looked at his hand as he was shaking.

"Maybe it's your doubts," Kiana pointed out.

Izuku widened his eyes as he looked at her in shock, "Really?"

"Yeah I mean, I used to think that too, I asked myself, why am I still alive when I failed so many people," Kiana said.

Izuku looked at her in shock, she giggled a bit at his dumbstruck expression, "Yeah, but if it weren't for the people around me who lifted me up, I wouldn't be here today,"

"Do…do you still wonder?" He asked.

Kiana frowned as she nodded, "I do, because there was a power I couldn't control and I ended up hurting the people I care about,"

Izuku's expression changed to a solemn look as she smiled at him, "But I can't let the person I admire down, after everything She's down for me, I have to keep going,"

Izuku looked at her as he then looked at the ground, "That person that you mentioned back on the ship was…"

She nodded, "Yep, my teacher, Himeko, the one who saved me and my friends when I was younger, I want to be the strongest Valkyrie for her,"

Izuku looked at her with awe but even then those words, it still lingered. He didn't know why it affected him so much.

"Why are you telling me this Kiana? We only met two days ago?"

Kiana looked at him as if he was dumb, "Because, I thought it would help, sharing my experience could help you, we all endure and suffer but we have to keep moving forward,"

Kiana got up as Izuku looked up at her, "You may have amnesia but that doesn't mean you've lost your feelings, memories can bring sadness and happiness, even fear but you said it yourself,"

She brought her hand out to help him up, "That you needed to know about yourself in the past, no matter how bad they are,"

Izuku widened his eyes in awe as he remembered he did say that. Even if this feeling was unknown to him, he couldn't run away from it.

"Yeah…I did say that,"

She smiled, "See? Now I gotta head back to the Hyperion, I'll see you around Izuku,"

She walked past him as the boy looked back at her. During their conversation, he noticed that… her smile seemed broken…she was hiding her pain.

Izuku didn't know why he knew that, it was a hunch that he got when he looked at the white haired girl.

Izuku then got a phone call as he looked at the contact to see Faith. He answered, "Hello?"

"Hey Izuku, you're alright? Gabriel told me you stormed off!"

"I'm fine…for now that is,"

"Izuku, is there anything I can help? You've been acting strange lately?"

Izuku looked at the door where Kiana left, her smile that was faked, the way she came out of her way to help him, even though they only talked for two days. And Mei, everytime he was attacked she would worry, he only met the two for so little time and yet they worried about him, he always asked why?

Knowing he will never get the answer anytime soon. He couldn't let himself be attacked again, he couldn't be defenseless again. Kiana and Mei had saved him from close encounters from death but he couldn't let that happen again. He didn't know why Kiana was faking her smile. But he knew this much, both Mei and Kiana are fighting to protect the ones they care about.

"Faith?"

"Yes? Anything wrong?"

"No, I…"

"Izuku?"

"I want you to teach me how to fight honkai beasts"
