Welcome, welcome readers, back to The Heir and The Champions in which one of the witches has some words with Harry.
The champions have a sit-down.
And Harry gets high.
On with the show.
A woman who was named Ana Wayward.
It was honestly more entertaining than it had any right to be, she started to sing and barely made it into her set, having her strings wrap around that annoying dove's heartstrings to yank them away from the boy before he had turned to look at her on stage. She smiled at him as she sang and the band picked up the tempo, they looked into each other's eyes before the boy quickly dragged the girl off the dance floor and dragged her through the crowd. Anand wanted to chuckle at his reaction but was far too busy singing for the crowd of teenagers dancing the night away without a care in the world, if they only knew what was to come, then they wouldn't be dancing at all.
She tracks the boy with her eyes through the crowd, dropping the confused girl off at a table with a word of sorrow and a promise to be right back before rushing to the Lieutenant who was busy glaring down some poor boy who thought he was charming enough to get a dance out of her. As soon as the boy got to the lieutenant, he whispered into her ear, and the nameless nymph's head snapped to her, Anand smiled at her before waving from the stage. They moved through the crowd to find the old man who had just stepped off the dance floor with the slightly out-of-breath Transfiguration Professor before speaking with them both, what the boy and the lieutenant didn't know was the Professor knew her name and turned to look at her, same as the old man with narrowed eyes.
The lieutenant wanted to stop her now, but the Headmaster didn't want to stop the festivity with a fight. He was willing to let her finish her songs before approaching her because as he correctly assumed, she wasn't here to start any trouble. She invited herself, sure, but she had no malevolent motives this night. So Anand continues to sing and the children continue to dance to the music, and she smiles watching them all enjoy themselves. She couldn't help it, she was The Mother, after all, she was a protector and nurturer of children after all, it was how she was created.
But soon her set comes to an end to the thunderous applause of the crowd, she takes a bow and turns to thank the enchanted mortal for "Inviting her" just as Macha had ordered him to do. She steps off the stage and could practically feel the bloodlust from the lieutenant following her as she and the boy tracks her through the crowd, Anand stops once to take a glass of champagne from the floating trays that drift through the hall before stepping outside into the gardens. She sweeps through the mostly empty garden back to the far corner and waits, they wouldn't be overheard here, so she leans against the parapets of Dún Scaith that overlook the grounds of the school, and waits, and she didn't have to wait long as she sips her drink she hears the crunching of snow under the boy's shoes as he approaches her.
"Hello again, Harry Potter," Anand says as the footsteps stop not too far behind her, she turns with a smile to see him not five feet away from her, his hands in the pockets of his jacket, as he glared at her. Anand sees the Headmaster making his way toward them, the Deathstick already in his hand, the Lieutenant was making her way through the small maze set in the garden to try and blindside her. But of the three of them, it was the boy and the Headmaster that worried her the most, they both wielded weapons of The End and compared to a blade of the moon, well, Anand knew which she didn't want to face.
"What are you doing here, Anand?" Harry asks, his eyes never leaving the woman.
"Oh? Where did you learn that name from?" Anand asks, genuinely surprised, "Was it, Macha? She's never learned how to keep things to herself," the tattooed woman says with a roll of her eyes.
"Half right, she said your name, but Amaranthus Black described you in a journal he wrote and I remember you from the dinner I and Dora stopped in," Harry says as Anand takes another sip of her drink, "Were you checking in on me then too?" he asks, a little heat to his voice.
Anand chuckles, "Surprisingly, no, when you walked into the dinner I wasn't expecting you that's for sure, I was just as surprised to see you as you were when you found out about who I am I imagine," she says with a tilt of her head as the Headmaster arrives stepping closer to her just in case he needed to defend his student.
"Good evening, Madam, but you were not on the guest list for this event, so I'm going to have to kindly ask you to leave," the Headmaster tells her as the air begins to grow thick with magic, but Anand just smiles at the old mortal.
"Ah, good evening to you as well, Headmaster, I do hope you can forgive me for intruding upon your festivities, but I found myself far too curious to stay away," Anand says with a smile as she places her champagne flute down, "I came to see something and pass along a few things, that is all I swear, and then I will be out of your hair for the time being," she says as the lieutenant steps from around the corner of the hedges, silver sword in hand.
Anand ignores her as she turns back to Harry, "I had wondered after we last saw each other a number of things, what was the opportunity passed along to another? Why couldn't I see where your fate ended? And which you'll embrace in the end?" she asks Harry as the boy narrowed his eyes at her, as she sighs before looks up to the stars shining in the night sky.
"My Mother," Harry says, causing Anand to look back at Harry, a brow raised, "When my mom cast the ritual to have a god help them, she was aiming for you," he tells her, Causing the old Headmaster to look between to two of them in surprise as Anand throws her head back with a laugh.
"Now that is ironic," Anand says with a smile, "And a shame, I would have been very proud of myself to call you my son, Harry," she says with a fond smile, "So, I will tell you this Harry, no matter what is to come, no matter what happens next, I will do my best to make sure you get out of it alive," Anand tells the boy.
"Don't you need me to free your Queen or whatever?" Harry asks, "Can't do that if I'm dead," he snarks at her.
"Oh, you'll free her, Boyo, that isn't in question, whether you survive what comes after is," Anand says, "We've waited for far too long for let this to fail, sacrificed far too much, she will walk the islands again, nothing will stop that," she tells Harry.
"Who is she?" Harry asks, "I can't find anything about you three serving anyone in the myths, not even Amaranthus found that out, and that guy was brave enough to approach Artemis in her own camp to dig into the divine," Harry says.
"We've been very careful to not name her, to confuse and twist the stories about us and her up just enough so no one could figure it out," Anand tells Harry with a sly smile, "But me and my sisters are nothing more than her hands and will made manifest, with the only goal of freeing her, and our goal is close at hand, but she isn't the only queen seeking her freedom, is she?" She says turning her head to Dumbledore with a smile, "Isn't that right, Crown-Keeper?"
Dumbledore narrows his eyes at the woman and lefts his head but says nothing as Anand just chuckles at him, "You have been an excellent Regent, Headmaster, but as the shadows grow closer, your time as the ruler grows to a close and soon you must make a choice, to abandon your pride and step down for this castle's true queen or try and cling to a thrown that was never yours," she tells the elderly man and Harry turns to Dumbledore, conflicting emotions on his face.
"As for you, Boyo," Anand says, drawing Harry's attention back to her, "Your trials are far from over, and I have one last gift for you," she says as she raises her arm with the images of swords, cups, wands, and pentacles and they begin to shift and twist as she speaks, "The Devil approaches and you will face a choice, The Moon overhead you will find yourself lost with Death just around the corner, and in the middle of it all you will find out what it truly means to be who you are, Hunter, Hero, Killer, which will you embrace?" Anand says with a flick of her wrist a card appears in her hand and she offers it to Harry.
"I thought the fates weren't allowed to get involved with stuff like this?" Harry asks with a raised brow as he steps past the Headmaster and reaches out for the card.
"Whoever said we were the fates?" Anand asks with a playful smile as Harry takes the card, and in a blur of movement a crow takes off from the castle and Anand is gone. Harry flips the card around to see that it was blank but with the words "The Magician" at the bottom.
Harry Potter
Harry sighs as he sits down at a table with Daphne, the card that Anand gave him weighed heavily in his pocket. Zoë and the Headmaster wanted to confiscate it but Harry had pointed out that Anand had given him a card before and it was harmless, so they relented before moving back into the castle, where Daphne was waiting for him with a glare. She didn't like being left behind on the dance floor with no explanation, he had apologized and asked if she wanted to dance to make up for it but Daphne had just sighed and told him that she wanted to sit down for a moment. Which now brought up another problem for Harry, the pounding headache behind his eyes, with The Weird Sisters starting on their songs and not classical dance music, everyone else started to cheer and scream which only seemed to get louder and louder.
Harry places his head on the table, wrapping his arms around his head in an attempt to block off the cacophony of screaming people threatening to split his head wide open. He feels Daphne's eyes on him, whether she was angry or concerned he couldn't tell, but he does hear two chairs scrape away from the table before two people sit down.
"Hello, Harry, Daphne, mind if we join you," Hermione says sitting down, causing Harry to look up at his friend, her face was flushed and red, and she was breathing a bit hard but smiling. Harry slowly turns to glare at the Durmstrang champion who was smiling as well, his eyes never leaving Krum he just grunts.
Krum frowns at Harry for a moment before turning to Hermione, "What is wrong with him?" he asks, his words thick with his accent.
Hermione hesitates for a moment, her eyes flicking between Harry and Daphne before answering, "Harry has problems with crowds and loud noises, they give him migraines," Hermione answers, sending an apologetic look to Harry. Krum's frown deepens before standing and drawing his wand before turning to Daphne.
"Excuse me, but what is your name?" Krum asks, before Daphne, Harry, and Hermione all look at him confused.
"Daphne Greengrass," She says as she narrows her eyes as Krum nods before pointing his wand at the floor and walking backwards in a circle around the table while whispering under his breath, when he made a full circle around the table there was a staticy snap of magic and it was like someone had turned down the volume in the room for everything outside the table, Krum nods to himself as he stows his wand and sits back down.
Hermione turns to her date, "Was that a ward?" she asks.
"Da, it is, it acts as, how you say, flatter?" Krum speaks, unsure of the English word, "Only certain words get through, names to be one of them," he says nodding his head.
"the word is Filter, Victor," Hermione says as Krum nods at her words before saying the word himself before some in Bulgarian over and over again for a moment before looking back to Hermione with a smile, "But thank you for doing that, do you think you could teach it to me sometime?" Hermione says with a smile as Krum nods at her.
Before any of them could say another word, Krum's ward proves itself as both Harry and Hermione hear Ron calling out their names, "Harry, Hermione, there you two are," He says as he walks into the ward with Lavender beside him, "Thought I lost you both in all this, mad, every one of them," he says the last part under his breath before rounding on Hermione, "And you! How could you!? With Krum of all blokes!" Ron says as he points between Hermione and Krum, "What kind of betrayal is this?!" he says as Hermione frowns at him.
"I haven't betrayed anyone, Ronald," Hermione snaps at him, "It's not my fault that you waited until the day before the ball to ask me when Victor asked me weeks ago," she says with an angry look on her face, as Krum turns to Ron with narrowed eyes angry at the seemingly random boy upsetting his date.
"What?" Ron says, sounding confused, "No, not that, that's understandable," Ron says, waving his hand as if to dismiss it, "No, this is like the enemy King somehow turning our Queen against us," Ron says, falling back on chess analogies as he was one to do, "He didn't even get a pawn across the board, he just, just reached over and took it, how is Harry or Angelina gonna win if you're helping Krum, they wouldn't stand a chance," Ron says causing everyone in the ward to look at him weirdly.
Harry sighs as he rubs his head, "Ron, mate, two things," Harry says, "One, headache, please stop being loud," Harry says looking at his friend.
"Oh, sorry mate," Ron says, looking a bit embarrassed but thankfully lowering his personal volume, "Slipped my mind," he adds on.
"Two, I don't care about winning, you know that," Harry says before turning to Hermione, "But if I did, he would have a point," he says with a smile in a show of humor and Hermione rolls her eyes.
"Victor hasn't asked me to help with anything to do with the Pithos, I swear, he asked me to the ball when he kept coming into the library," Hermione tells the two of them, before Krum cuts in, mostly talking to Ron.
"I have already figured out the, ah, Jar?" Krum says looking to Hermione, who nods her head, "Yes, the Jar, I was more working up the Кураж, that is mettle, guts, yes?" he asks to another nod, "To ask Heerminy to the dance," he says.
Ron leans back a bit, his ears going red in embarrassment, "Oh," is all he says awkwardly as Lavender giggles next to him.
"Hermione," Daphne says, standing, "I need to freshen up, care to join me?" she asks, looking at her expectedly.
"Of course," The bookworm says as she stands up with a smile.
"Mind if I tag along?" Lavender says with a smile as the two other girls nod.
Daphne turns to Harry before kissing him on the cheek and telling him she'll be right back, and Krum tells Hermione he'd stay right where he was as Ron awkwardly takes the seat Daphne had just left, and Harry watches the three girls walk out of the Great Hall before he turns back to Krum who was watching the three witches leave with a small smile before looking at Harry, confusion in his eyes.
"If you hurt her in any way, I will kill you," Harry says, twisting the tap in the back of his mind just to flood himself with just enough of the Hunt to cause his pupils to split as he glared at Krum, "And I'll feed what's left to the wolves, do you understand me?" Harry asks as Krum leans back in his chair with a thoughtful frown on his face, his eyes moving back and forth between Harry and Ron.
"Don't know why you're looking at me, I'll be helping him, Mate," Harry hears Ron say from beside him.
"So, you are a Half-Blood," Krum says turning to look back at Harry, causing the Hunt-Blessed boy to narrow his eyes at Krum, "I was not sure at first, then the woman showed up and you killed your dragon convinced me a little bit, but now, with this?" he gestures to Harry's eyes, "Yes, you are a demigod, no?" he asks.
Both Harry and Ron were taken aback at Krum's casual tone, they both look at each other before turning back to Krum, Ron speaking for them, "How in Merlin's Beard do you know that?" he asks Krum.
"I am, how you say, descendant? Share blood? With a god," Krum admits trying to find the right English word while looking between the other two.
"A legacy?" Harry asks
"Da, that, my grandfather is Perun, god of the sky," Krum says, causing Ron to sputter.
"Is that why you're so good at flying?" Ron asks, causing Krum to laugh and shake his head.
"I like to think I am just good at flying, but possibly," Krum says to Ron before turning to Harry, "Heerminy says you fly good as well?" he asks.
"Umm, yeah a bit," Harry says as Ron scoffs.
"A bit he says," Ron says, shaking his head, "Gryffindor has never lost a game with Harry flying, I bet he'd give you a run for your gallons," he says with a smirk as Harry turns to him looking at him like he had lost his mind, Harry knew he was good, but he wasn't professional Quidditch player good.
"Da? Good, I haven't had a lot of opportunities to train for the next season, would you care to fly against me?" Krum asks, looking back at Harry whose head snaps back to the Bulgarian.
"Hmmm, s-sure?" Harry says a bit shocked as Krum smiles.
"Good, I like, how you say, Challengers?" Krum says before looking between the two, and Harry dumbly nods and Krum smiles again.
"Harry, don't tell me you're colluding with the enemy now," the Voice of Angelina says, and all three young men turn to the Hogwarts champion as she walks past the ward with a smile, Fred walking arm and arm with her, giving a nod to Harry before pulling out the chair for Angelina to sit.
Harry shoots back a small smile to his captain, "Angelina, you should know that you are the only enemy I'd collude with, seeing that you're gonna be controlling the train schedule next year," He says, causing the dark skin girl to throw her head back with a laugh.
"If I ever act like Wood, you have to promise me you and the others will stage a mutiny immediately," She says with a grin.
"Ay, Ay, Captain," Fred says with a grin before looking over at Harry with a wink, Harry got a feeling that the twins would throw one just for a laugh, so the boy hunter just shakes his head.
"I'll keep that in mind, Captain," Harry answers back before Angelina looks over to Krum and reaches across the table.
"Angelina Johnson, Thought I'd properly introduce myself," she says with a polite smile and Krum takes her hand and shakes it.
"Victor Krum, a pleasure," Krum says, "I heard a great deal about how you dealt with your dragon, it was very good," He says with a smile, and Angelina smiles back.
"Thanks, Quick thinking on your part as well," She says, and Krum just shrugs.
"It was, how you say, not good enough? I hoped to show off what I can do, yes?" Krum asks and Angelina nods her head in understanding. But as Angelina opens her mouth to say something else, another voice cuts her off, one that Harry very much didn't want to Hear.
"Well, well, what do we have here? Are you all sharing a drink without little old me? How 'urtful," The Voice of Fleur Delacour cuts in, and the other three champions all turn to her with a glare as she walks over and takes a seat between Krum and Angelina, right across from Harry all the while smiling at Harry.
"Sorry to say, but you can't be a mad bint if you want to sit here," Angelina says, leveling a glare at the half-fae, making the other girl chuckle.
"Zen why eez lit-tell 'arry sitting here en?" Fleur asks, turning to face Angelina, "He eez just as mad as me, oui?" she asks with a raised brow as she takes her tricorn hat off before tossing it onto the table.
Angelina's lips press into a before she turns to Fred, "Can you go get us some drinks, Fred?" she asks as the Weasley twin blinks at her before.
"Fred? I'm George, or don't you know your own date?" He says with a smile before Angelina smacks his arm, amusement flickering in her eyes.
"Whichever one you are, drinks, Captain's orders," Angelina says with a grin before the twin leans down and kisses her on the cheek.
"Just kidding love, I am Fred," he says with a grin before turning to Ron, "Oy, Ron, come help me out," he tells him, before Ron turns to look at Harry, his eyes flickering between him and Fleur, and Harry does a small nod before Ron gets to his feet and heads off with Fred.
Angelina watches them go for a moment before turning to Fleur with her glare returning full force, "Listen here, Frenchy, I've been made aware of a few things in the last few weeks, and if you think I'll let you do what your kind does to people like Harry, you have another thing coming, got me bitch?" Angelina snarls at Fleur, causing the other girl to smile sharply at Angelina.
"Mon kind? Whatever do you mean?" Fleur says as she puts the satchel she was wearing on the table before looking away from Angelina and begins to dig into it.
"Don't play coy, you're blonde, not a bimbo, so don't act like it, bitch!" Angelina says, her voice rising in anger, causing both Harry and Fleur to flinch at the volume.
"First off, I 'avé a splitting 'eadache, zo do not yéll at me, as i am sure little 'arry does as well, second off, speak plainly girl, because if you did not know, ze iz in zee know az well," Fleur snips at Angelina before jerking her head at Krum who just frowns at the half-fae before Angelina looks at Krum in shock, The Bulgarian Champion just shrugs.
Fleur pulls out a small vial of purple potion, shaking it, before pulling the stopper and downing it in one go. She lets out a sigh as she leans back, letting the concoction take effect, her eyes flutter open, and goes to put the vial away, but she pauses for a moment before her eyes flick to Harry, before she smiles a bit before reaching in the satchel and pulling out a second vial of purple potion before rolling it across the table to Harry, Harry stops the vial with one hand before picking it up and looking at it.
"What the hell is this?" Harry asks, looking at Fleur.
"Eet eez a 'eadaché potion, eet well 'elp with all la sounds and smells," Fleur says with a smile, Harry narrows his eyes, the pounding in his head had calmed down a lot, but he knew as soon as Daphne got back he would have to leave the ward and go back into the loud crowd once more.
"Harry, please do not drink that," Angelina says looking at him worried.
So as Harry spins the vial between his fingers and thinks about it, he decides to ask Fleur a question that had been burning in his mind since he had heard about it, "What the fuck is wrong with your dad?" he asks bluntly, causing Krum and Angelina to look at him oddly and Fleur to throw her head back with a laugh.
"Ai assumé you mean abut 'im and my mother?" Fleur asks, and as Harry nods, she smiles softly, "My father eez a magizoolologist, 'is main field of study eez 'igh-altitudé creatures, he met my mother when she 'ad just escaped a fight barely clinging to life een le francais alps, he zen nursed her back to life with milk, honey, and 'is blood, and during zat time zey fell een love," she tells him with a shrug and Harry just blinks.
"And he just, ...goes past the hedge for her?" Harry asks, not grasping why anyone would be willing to walk into that nightmare realm with a smile.
"Oui, and just like my father would do fair hair, my mother would do anything for 'im, even giving up large chunks of hair own lifetime to protect 'im from la time-laspsing effects of coming and going from ze 'edge as zey do," Fleur says leaning back in her chair, but seeing the confusion not leaving Harry's face she continues, "My kind are emotional creatures, wé are set in zem and zey dictaté who wé are and 'ow we do things, when wé feel anger, we are an inferno, when we lust, we well fuk for days on énd, when we are 'appy, la celebrationz well last weeks, and when we are sad, la world around us freezes in our melancholy, zo, why would we zettle with someone who well be anything léz than zat, and zat eez who my father eez for my mother," Fleur says with a shrug.
"And if you wanted to fight a demigod, it would be this, what? All consuming want?" Harry asks, beginning to understand as Fleur smiles and nods.
Fleur frowns a bit, thinking it over for a moment before speaking, "Zomething lik zat, oui, when my kind feels zomething eet would be lik, for a normal 'uman, lik discovering zéir true purpose in life, an all consuming went or need, something zéy could not livé without akin to food air water," She says with a nod of her head, "Eet could be worse, ai could be my great-grandmama, I just went to fight you, shé wanted to fuk ze demigod she met," she says with a shake of her head before looking back at Harry's uneasy look, "Wéll, you know all abut zat story, don't you?" she says with a chuckle before leaning forward and placing her elbow on the table and her cheek on her palm.
"Umm, what story?" Harry asks, and Fleur blinks at him.
"But you 'avé le spair, 'ow do you not know zee story?" Fleur asks shocked, before Harry could answer, Both Ron and Fred come back with arms full of drinks, and the conversation was dropped for those not in the know, Fleur stands with a sigh before drawing her wand, and as one, every Gryffindor student draws theirs. Fleur just smiles at them before speaking, "I'm tired of playing le dashing princé charming, ai think ai will be ze princess until my sister wishes to dance," before running her wand down her musketeer outfit and transforming it into a pure white dress that spilled across the floor and hugged her curves far too well, she turns back to Harry, "drink la potion, lit-tell Harry, eet well 'elp, and i'll see you een la woods, with my 'eart ready for you," she tells him before walking away and back into the crowd.
Harry looks down at the potion still in his hand, lips pressed in a thin line, "Harry, don't you dear-" Angelina begins to say but before she could finish, Harry pulls the stopper and downs the potion.
"Why!?" Angelina yells, throwing her hands up in the air, "She could have poisoned that!" Angelina says.
Harry shakes his head, "Nah, she wouldn't do that," says before picking up a butterbeer out of Ron's gobsmack and shocked arms before popping it open and taking a sip, "She wouldn't get her fight that way, and that's all she wants, a deathmatch," Harry says a bit grimly, but feels the potion already working, the remains of his headache were fading and he Harry begins to relax, then he hears Daphne call his name and as he turns his head, the world blurs.
Hermione Granger
Something was wrong with Harry Potter, he wasn't acting like himself, he was laughing and relaxed in a room full of people when he would normally be standoffish with everyone, and looking for the closes exit, he had jump out of his seat and immediately ran over to Daphne to hug her, which was anthem to who she knew as Harry Potter. Harry kissed her deeply and in public before dragging Daphne back out to the dance floor much to everyone's surprise, Hermione had finally turned to Ron and asked what had happened when they were gone and he and Angelina explained that Harry had taken a headache potion from Fleur Delacour.
That had caused her to Hunt down the Half-Fae who was dancing with Cedric Diggery and asking what she really gave to Harry, which she had sworn was just a Headache relief draft, until Hermione asked if she added anything to the standard ingredients for the potion, and Fleur had told her she added an extract of Fae-Rose. This leads Ron, Herself, and Victor to hunt down both Sirius and Theodore, the latter because He was responsible for Harry and the former because he would probably know what "Extract of Fae-Rose" was.
Turns out that they both knew what it was, it was a medical-grade narcotic used in potions to treat damaged minds and nerves from severe dark magic damage, and Harry was now as High as a kite. The upside is that it wasn't habit-forming, the downside is they had a high and overly happy demigod to deal with.
"What do we do?" Hermione asks as they watch Harry twirl Daphne with a dopey smile on his face and pupils as big as dinner plates.
"We could give him an explorant, it won't be nice, but it could work," Theodore says as he stood next to Tracey, who was trying not to laugh at the sight of the normal dower Gryffindor looking like he was the happiest man alive dancing with her best friend.
"It won't," Sirius says before lifting a camera and snapping a picture of the couple with a smile, "It's already in his bloodstream, he'll have to sweat it out naturally," he says, before snapping another picture as Harry dips Daphne and the teenagers all turn to look at him, he turns back to look at them, "What? It was the '70s, don't judge me," Sirius says defensively.
Ron turns to Hermione, "Okay, crazy idea, but hear me out," he says, crossing his arms.
"The Headmaster or Diana?" Hermione asks, already thinking about either finding the headmaster or sending a prayer to Artemis, she was pretty sure it would go through, she was still a maiden and had gone on the same hunts as Harry.
"What?" Ron asks, confused, "No to both of them, my idea is to let Harry ride this out," he says, causing Hermione to slowly turn her head to look at him with wide eyes.
"We do, ...what!?" Hermione half screams at Ron.
"Hermione, look at him," Ron says gesturing to Harry, "He's Happy, he's having fun, he's not trying to leave or has his head down on a table because he's in pain, do we really want to get him to come down from this in the middle of a ball?" Ron argues.
"He was drugged!" Hermione argues back.
"Okay, yeah, but it's not like it's killing him," Ron says back, "Besides, he probably won't remember any of this," he says, throwing his hands in the air.
"Oooh, he's gonna remember all of this," Sirius says as he looks over to his Godson's best friends, "Because Fea-Rose doesn't mess with your memories, just hits you with a blast of euphoria and energy until you sweat it all out, and also because I'm never going to let him forget," the man says with a grin before taking another picture.
"See, Sirius isn't worried, why should we?" Ron says pointing at the man while Hermione gives the redhead a flat look.
"You are basing your argument on a man who spent twelve years in Azkaban and probably not all that same, Ronald," Hermione says as Sirius barks out a laugh.
"She gots you there kid," Sirius says with a smile.
"Hermione, look at Harry, and tell me it's the right idea," Ron says, pointing at the dancing boy, Hermione does with a frown, she's frowning because Ron has a point. She has never seen Harry this happy, even if it was fake, he was always so anti-social, cagy, and dower looking because of his life and now seeing him with a real smile on his face that didn't come from the end of a hunt or when he was flying, but him finally enjoying life as he should have if it wasn't for his past, she sighs.
"Fine, but we are taking turns watching him, okay?" Hermione tells Ron, and the redhead agrees with a smile because for once, all three friends could enjoy a party together.
Chapter done!
Not gonna lie, the first part with Anand felt kinda forced and I had to rewrite it a few times to make the tone less grim with her.
Krum is a bit of a bro in this because he wants to be friends with his dates friends and not be a dick. Ron acted differently because he is a bit different in this.
Fleur was Fleur, but we picked up on a few things, I would also like to thank the Archfae who commented on this story for sending me that French accent translator, I abused that during this chapter.
Did Fleur know Harry was gonna get fuck up off of fantasy ecstasy? No, once again Fae have no human concepts of right and wrong nor did she know he was going to respond like that, but she's not gonna complain about it, lol.
Kingsaxcul, out!
