Midoriya found himself sitting on the corner of the bar; he had the folder with the class 1-A information in his hands. He had spent the last few nights going over everyone in the class, he was surprised when he saw the face of his childhood friend on the pages. While most people would have been worried or having second thoughts, those never reached Midoriya. He knew that guy could handle this and wouldn't have any issue with any of the thugs; honestly, he didn't think any of the students would have issues if they didn't panic. Speaking truthfully, Midoriya knew there were only a handful of truly dangerous people and most of them would be dealing with All Might, the other one's job was to block communication, and Midoriya had no intention of hurting anyone.

No, Midoriya had a different plan, inside of his jacket pocket was a gun with four special bullets ready for their first test run. With the short notice that was all Kai was able to make, but as long as he hit his mark there would be no issues.

As Midoriya leaned in his chair waiting for things to start, Kurogiri walked over to him. It wasn't unusual for him to approach Midoriya, but Midoriya had a feeling that something was off this time.

"Is everything alright?"

"Sorry, but I was curious about what you intend to do with that thing in your pocket? It's not like you to carry one of those around."

Midoriya looked up at him skeptically. "How did you know?"

He softly chuckled as he set a drink down on the table. "I can feel everything that passes through my warps, after moving so many people I've learned to distinguish the shapes of different objects."

Midoriya sighed as he looked at the drink. "That's quite the trick."

"You can never be too careful in this line of business."

Midoriya nodded in agreement. "You're not wrong there. As far as your question goes, I've been asked to test a new product."

Kurogiri's eyes narrowed. "What exactly is it?"

"Unfortunately I can't say anything, but I'm sure that rat will have some information before too long."

Kurogiri nodded. "I see, well if there's nothing else, I should get back to work."

"Actually, I did need to ask you for a favor if you don't mind."

"Does it involve today's raid?"

Midoriya nodded. "Yeah, I know Shigaraki's the leader, but I was hoping you could help me out a little when things go down."

"That depends on what you need."

Midoriya opened the folder and showed him three students. "When you scatter them, send these three to my area."

Kurogiri inspected the forms carefully before nodding. "I don't see why that would cause any problems. I just ask that this plan of yours doesn't compromise the mission."

"It won't, if anything it should make it easier."

"That's good to hear, try not to move too far from where I warp you. If things don't go as planned, we need to retreat quickly and I've been given orders to make sure you're safe."

Midoriya nodded. "Understood."

"Very well."

Kurogiri began to turn around, but before he got too far, Midoriya called out to him one last time and motioned towards his drink.

"Don't worry, it's virgin. I may be a villain but I do have some decency, besides I doubt alcohol would be helpful given your quirk."

Midoriya laughed to himself as the flames on his mask dissipated. He carefully removed the loop around one of his ears as he drank what was in the glass. When it was empty and his mask was fixed, the pure white flames engulfed the mask again.

"You're a gentleman and a scholar."

A few hours later, Midoriya was standing in the corner of an abandoned warehouse, his mask wasn't ignited to keep unwanted attention away. From what he could tell, it looked as if there were close to two-hundred people in total. The vast majority of them looked as if they were your everyday thugs, he wasn't impressed. Still, given the sheer numbers, he could see a world where this was successful if they all acted as decoys so Nomu and Shigaraki could do the actual work.

Letting out a deep sigh, he pulled out his phone and saw a message from Kendo with a picture attachment. He couldn't help but smile as he saw her and her friend, Tokage, posing in their Hero outfits.

Izuku: "It came out great! Are you happy?"

Itsuka: "Hell yeah, it's perfect!"

Izuku: "That's awesome, but I still don't get why you went with that mask."

Itsuka: "I've told you this like a hundred times, I like the way it looks."

Izuku: "Whatever you say… wannabe Knockout."

Itsuka: "… Izuku."

Izuku: "… Yes?"

Itsuka: "My training is starting so I have to go, but I just wanted to let you know I'm so looking forward to our date this weekend."

Midoriya gulped nervously as he put away his phone, he knew he had pushed his luck too far with that last comment. He could hear the soft sounds of his nervous sweat hitting the ground. He quickly shook his head trying to rid his mind of those thoughts, he needed to put all his focus on his current mission.

The room had a soft rumble of chatter as everyone talked about what they thought was about to happen, but that all died down when a portal opened up and Shigaraki walked out. Everyone's eyes fixated on him and Nomu who was standing slightly behind him to the side. His eyes looked around the room before momentarily stopping on me, a few people noticed the slight pause but thought nothing of it.

"Alright, I'm sure you're all wondering why I gathered you all here today?"

The voices in the crowd began to rise again, filled with anticipation.

"Well, I'm going to keep it simple: we're going to invade UA and kill All Might."

The crowd went silent again in disbelief. Midoriya mentally facepalmed, he had given an overly simple explanation of what the plan was. Sensing unrest in the crowd, Kurogiri stepped up before he cleared his throat.

"By that we mean the three of us up here will be killing All Might. When we arrive, I'm going to scatter you along with the first-year students around the building. With the students in danger, All Might and the two other teachers will panic as they try to save all their students. Since we have strength in numbers, we will overwhelm them and our plan will be successful."

Slowly the crowd began to understand what their role was, they were merely pawns in the game. Still most of them seemed to be on board, their cheers clearly showed they thought that quantity outweighed quality. As the morale of the group raised, Midoriya slowly found himself starting to believe in the plan as well. That was until he remembered two names he saw in the class. His childhood friend, who was a menace in his own right, and the son of the number two hero Endeavor. He was certain that those two could hold their own in a fight against this group.

There were a few others that could easily fall into that group as well, especially since most of them had probably been training with their quirks for years. Still, when the students were outnumbered nearly ten-to-one, the odds didn't look good for them.

"We've done research on the place we're invading, and it has multiple zones. I'll be sending you to places where you can benefit from your quirk the most. We'll be moving out shortly, so make sure you're ready."

Everyone let out a cheer of determination as they psyched themselves up. Midoriya only sighed as he left his corner to approach Shigaraki and Kurogiri. Shigaraki was sitting in his chair, slowly scratching his neck.

"You gave quite the inspiring speech, oh great leader."

"Shut up, I told them everything they needed to know."

"That's true, but most of these people are dumb as rocks, they need something to believe in and fight for. Just saying what the plan is won't inspire that, give them something to believe in."

Shigaraki narrowed his eyes on Midoriya. "Well how about we put that idea of yours to the test. When you get there, give them something to inspire them."

Midoriya sighed. "Is that an order?"

"Yes."

"Fine, but make sure I have some room. Thankfully, no one seems to have realized who I am yet."

"I'm sure the hero's will recognize you right away. You are a wanted man who's only recognizable characteristics are his victim's burns and a flaming mask. You're lucky fire-type quirks are plentiful."

"Yeah… I am." Midoriya made his way back to his corner and waited for the mission to begin.

The time had finally come, Kurogiri created a giant portal for everyone to walk through. The first person to cross was a man with an electric quirk, his job was to cut off communication before we arrived. A couple minutes after he had gone through, the rest of us were instructed to move. Slowly the crowd shrunk in size and before long all that was left was Shigaraki, Nomu, and Midoriya.

As we stood there, Shigaraki's face contorted into a twisted smile. "Alright Nomu, it's your turn."

The creature let out a monstrous shriek before it passed through the warp. Once it was gone, Shigaraki let out a content sigh before turning to Midoriya with a mocking tone."Remember to inspire them, Phoenix."

Once Shigaraki was through, Midoriya let out a deep sigh of his own as he rubbed his temples.

"There is no chance this ends well is there?"

Taking a deep breath, Midoriya pulled out his lighter and put it in his jacket pocket before crossing over. Once he was on the other side Kurogiri's warp closed. Midoriya looked around the center plaza that they had landed, at the top of the stairs he saw a group of people standing, looking down at them, but something was wrong. All Might wasn't here, there were two teachers and twenty students.

The group of villains began to mutter and ask where All Might was. It was a perfectly understandable question since the goal of this was to kill All Might. As Midoriya continued to look around and noticed Shigaraki was scratching at his neck uncontrollably, more than likely because his "plan" was already off to a bad start. Midoriya could see the uneasiness of the group and decided to act before things got worse.

Inside his pocket he sparked his lighter, he could feel the warmth of the flame in his hand. As he exhaled his deep breath, a pillar of white flames surrounded him. The volume and heat of the flames drew everyone's attention to him, even the villains turned to him in awe. As the flames died down, and Midoriya became visible again, the only thing that was left ignited was his mask.

Instantly everyone recognized who he was and the moral of the villains turned in their favor. Hearing the cheers for him, Midoriya looked at Shigaraki and raised his eyebrows mockingly at him.

Sucking his teeth, Shigaraki stopped scratching his neck. "As annoying as this is, I guess it wouldn't hurt to kill a few students before we go. Let's leave the Symbol of Peace a present for when he does arrive. Kurogiri, once Eraserhead makes his move, I want you to disperse everyone."

"Of course."

Midoriya looked at Shigaraki completely surprised, even though most of the time he came off childish; he had just shown that he can make logical decisions when needed. Midoriya laughed to himself as he kept his hand firmly gripped on the gun in his pocket.

As if on cue, a few villains started to rush the stairs, prompting Eraserhead to respond. Once he reached the bottom of the stairs, Kurogiri enveloped almost everyone and warped them to their designated areas. Midoriya found himself standing on what looked to be a mountain range, he quickly found the highest ground he could to get a layout of the area. A few hundred feet below him, he saw a portal open and three students fall to the ground. Midoriya smiled as he saw it was exactly who he had asked for.

'Kurogiri, you never disappoint do you?'

Wanting to get there before anything bad happened, Midoriya hurried to get to a spot to observe how they handled themselves. The students had only known each other for a couple weeks so their chemistry shouldn't be that good.

Much to his surprise though, Midoriya was wrong, the three of them were working well together. The more he watched the more he understood: Momo Yaoyorozu was the brains of the three, she was giving out prompt orders while fending off her attackers with ease. Alas Yusa was gracefully flying through the air using her speed to her advantage. The final one was Mashirao Ojiro, he was taking advantage of any opening his opponents left. It was obvious he had training in martial arts, but after sparring with Kendo, Midoriya wasn't impressed.

It didn't take as long as Midoriya had expected for them to render their attackers helpless. Yaoyorozu quickly began to create restraints for anyone that wasn't fully knocked out. Seeing this, Midoriya sighed to himself as he sat in the rocks perched above them. Just as he was about to act, a scream caught all of their attention, Yusa was being held by the back of the neck by the man with the electric type quirk. The man laughed as a few sparks flew from his hand, dangerously close to her face.

"You really need to work on your type matchups. Don't you know that electric-type moves are super effective against flying-types?"

Yusa's black wings flailed as she tried to break loose. "Let go of me, you creep."

The sparks in the man's hand intensified. "Stop squirming or else I might slip."

"Let her go, now!" Ojiro screamed at him as he readied himself for another fight.

The villain turned his attention to him before laughing. "Or what? I have this girl by the scruff of the neck, even if you did attack me she'd be dead before you get close to me."

Having seen enough, Midoriya decided he should act now before he lost one of his test subjects. He hopped off the rocks and landed in between the two groups, but he was far enough to the side to not be in the middle of them. Everyone's attention fell on him earning mixed reactions. The villain laughed as he broke into a feral grin, while the students eyes widened in terror.

"Oh, this is great, I even have Phoenix here. You kids sure are screwed now."

Midoriya stared at the man silently. He could see the fear in the girl's eyes as the electricity in the man's hand continued to inch closer to her face. As Midoriya raised his left hand ready to snap, an explosion rang from the other side of the facility. Everyone came to a stop and the villain's quirk deactivated as they looked towards the smoke that was rising from the front entrance. It didn't take a genius to know that help had arrived.

The villain sucked his teeth as he turned back to the three students. Panic had set in knowing that time was starting to run short. Again he activated his quirk, but before he could cause any harm a snap rang out.

The students all froze at what they saw next. The villain, who was holding Yusa, was standing motionless. His eye sockets had been turned into vacant charred holes. The villian let out a gut wrenching scream before letting go of Yusa and falling to the ground.

"Dammit, Phoenix! What the hell!? We're on the same side here!"

Midoriya didn't answer him, instead he turned to the students that looked at him in confusion and terror. He slowly pulled the gun out of his right pocket and aimed it at Yusa, the speed and maneuverability of her quirk made her the biggest threat. The three students froze in place, even in a world full of superpowers a single bullet was all it took to end someone. Midoriya pulled the hammer back as he looked between the three students.

Again another deafening boom echoed through the facility, but this time it was followed by screams and Nomu flying through the roof. Midoriya sighed silently before taking advantage and quickly shooting at Yusa and Ojiro who were distracted. His eyes widened as he saw Yusa's wings vanish before her and Ojiros tail go limp. The two teens who had been shot froze up, their quirks weren't working.

Midoriya was quick to aim at Yaoyorozu, but much to his surprise she created a riot shield and blocked the bullet. Midoriya's eyes widened before jumped back to create some more distance. He wasn't worried about being captured, but he didn't want to risk anything.

Putting the gun away he snapped again and all three spent rounds ignited, burning away all the evidence. He knew Kai would be pissed if anything tracing the drug back to him was left. The only thing that was left was two small burns on Yusa and Ojiro.

Yaoyorozu dropped the shield and readied herself. "What exactly is your plan?"

Midoriya raised an eye at her, but didn't say a word. He knew he would see these kids again, and the last thing he wanted was someone to recognize him from his voice.

Yaoyorozu narrowed her eyes on him. "Not much of a talker are you? That's fine, I'm sure the police will find some way to make you talk."

Yaoyorozu's arms began to glow, Midoriya's time had run out. With two quick snaps Midoriya simultaneously ignited the electric quirk villain, silencing any loose ends, and erecting a wall of flames to let him escape. As he backed away, he could see the look of confliction on their faces. They were heroes in training and they didn't know if they should try and save the villain or chase the one responsible for it. With a subtle wave Midoriya started to run back to the spot where he had been warped.

As Midoriya ran he heard multiple gunshots echo, he figured more back up had arrived. He was confident that Kurogiri would be fine since he could use his quirk to redirect the bullets, that's if Eraserhead wasn't looking at him. Luckily that wasn't the case, in the distance he could see a familiar purple mist swirling.

Midoriya ran into the mist and found himself back in the bar. He was panting softly, but quickly stopped when he noticed Shigaraki lying on the floor in a puddle of his own blood.

"Is he dead?"

A strained and aggravated voice came from the floor. "Of course I'm not dead, you idiot."

"Uh-huh." Midoriya went to the bar and sat on a stool. "So did you kill All Might?"

Shigaraki sent a glare at Midoriya's back. "No, he was too strong, he cheated."

Midoriya rolled his eyes. "Did he cheat by sending Nomu through the roof or showing up late?"

"Why you-"

"Enough." The tv flicked on as All for One began to talk. "Tomura, take this experience to heart and learn from it. You can start over as many times as you need to. Now, Kurogiri, if you'd be so kind, send him over to the doctor so he can be fixed up."

"Right away sir."

A portal opened up beneath Shigaraki and he slowly sunk into it, when the portal closed he and the puddle of blood were gone as well. Midoriya and Kurogiri were the only ones left in the room, along with All for One thanks to the tv.

"So Phoenix, did you kill any students?"

Midoriya shook his head. "No."

"How about villains."

Midoriya's hands clenched up at his words. "How'd you know?"

All for One laughed. "My boy, it would be crazy to assume that you didn't, given that you've only attacked villains in the past. Now tell me, who was it?"

"The electric-type user that was jamming the signal."

The room went deathly quiet. He could feel a gaze through the tv. "Was this before or after All Might showed up?"

"It was as the reinforcements showed up."

"I see and why did he have to die?"

"He was interfering with my job."

"And what exactly was your job?"

"I was testing a new product."

The room went quiet again for a few minutes. No one dared to move until All For One spoke again.

"Well what's done is done, now I should go check on Tomura and hear about everything he saw."

"I guess I'll be going home then."

"Phoenix, sooner or later you're going to have to get your hands dirty."

"My hands are already coated in blood."

A soft laugh came from the tv. "That may be so, but it's not the blood of the innocent."

The tv shut off and Midoriya didn't move for a few minutes, when he was certain All for One was gone he let out a deep sigh.

"Kurogiri, could I get a drink before I go?"

He answered with a silent nod as he pulled a soda out of the fridge under the bar. When he set the bottle in front of Midoriya a soft smile spread across his face.

"A true gentleman indeed."

Kendo was laying on her bed, staring at the roof. The school day had ended slightly early after the attack at the USJ, and everyone was given a couple days off while the police and school looked into the incident. Even though she wasn't involved in the attack, she was still slightly shaken- her class had been there last week. That could have been her in that situation.

Her parents had been bombarding her with questions ever since the news went public. She completely understood why, honestly she would have been worried if her parents hadn't acted like that. That being said, she still wished they would have toned it down after she said she was fine.

The biggest surprise, and irritation, was that her boyfriend hadn't called yet to check on her. Sure he worked full-time, but that didn't excuse the fact that he hadn't even sent a text to check on her.

As Kendo continued to brood over not having heard from him her phone lit up and his name was on display. Kendo raised an eyebrow before shrugging.

'Speak of the devil and he shall appear.'

After letting it ring for a little, for payback purposes, she took a deep breath before answering.

"Hello."

"Itsuka, are you alright!? I just saw the news!"

Kendo jumped as she pulled away from his yelling.

"Yeah, I'm fine, my class wasn't involved in the attack."

A sigh of relief came from his side of the phone. "Oh wow, that's a relief. I'm so glad you're safe, Itsuka."

Kendo couldn't help but to smile and blush at his remark. "Me too, Izuku."

The line went silent for a moment before he spoke up again. "Did you talk to the other class? Are they all ok? The news was pretty vague on the details."

Kendo stopped to think, she didn't actually talk to anyone in the class, but she had heard a few things. "From what I've heard, the students are alright for the most part."

"For the most part?"

"Yeah, it's no surprise that few are a little mentally shaken after it. Apparently none of them sustained any long lasting injuries."

"Long lasting injuries?"

Kendo let out a sigh. "Well, as I was leaving, I heard a few people talking about how their quirks stopped working for a while."

"How long is a while?"

"I think they said one was almost an hour, while the other was closer to thirty minutes."

"Did they specify who was affected for how long?"

"Yeah… apparently one was the girl with black angel wings from my entrance exam, her quirk came back after thirty minutes. The other was a boy who has a tail: he didn't regain use of it for an hour. Does any of this really matter, Izuku?"

"I was just curious. Do they think it was a villain's quirk?"

"No, that's the weird part, it was Phoenix. He shot something at three students, but only two were hit. They're thinking it was some kind of drug, but apparently he burned the spent rounds so they couldn't get information."

"Wow, that's scary. But how did you get all that information from a passing conversation?"

"…Setsuna and I may have followed them to the station and used her quirk to listen in better."

"I see, so follow up question, who's Setsuna?"

"Oh that's Tokage, she's been adamant about us using each other's first names."

"Oh… well that was… quick."

"Tell me about it, she's a bit of a loose cannon."

"Sounds like you'll never have a boring day."

Kendo laughed at his comment before sighing. "Especially if this keeps up."

"Fingers crossed it doesn't… were the teachers alright during the attack?"

"I heard it was nothing life-threatening, but they're both in the hospital right now recovering."

"I hope they get better soon."

"Me too."

The phone went silent again, neither really knew where to go from here. They had addressed the elephant in the room, but now it felt awkward to immediately change the subject.

"Well I guess I owe you an apology Itsuka."

"For what…"

"I was wrong about Phoenix. Back when he attacked in Osaka I sort of pushed aside your concern because I didn't really think of him as a villain."

"Izuku, you don't have to apologize for that. At the time he hadn't done anything but attack criminals."

"That doesn't change the fact that I was wrong."

Kendo sighed as she looked out her window. "Being wrong or right doesn't matter right now, everyone being safe does."

"Alright, well besides the attack, how was your day?"

"It was fine, we had combat training today. I got paired up with Yanagi in a terrorist simulation."

"Did you win?"

Kendo scoffed as she rolled onto her stomach. "Of course, there's no way the class representative would lose the first training exercise."

"Haha, I still don't understand how you got elected for that."

"I told you last week, during our USJ training I was a major factor for how we decided who would go to which areas. After everyone saw that, I ended up getting the most votes."

"Right, and remind me who gave you ideas on how your classmates could use their quirks better, while also asking hypothetical situations?"

"… They don't need to know that."

"I'm sure that Monoma guy would find it interesting."

"Please don't bring up that walking headache."

"Did something happen again?"

Kendo let out a deep sigh before rubbing her temples. "Yeah, after everyone found out about the attack he started going off on how it's all class 1-A's fault for being so weak."

"That make's literally zero sense."

"That's what I said, but ever since Mr. Vlad told us we weren't inferior and we should have a healthy rivalry with class 1-A, he's been grasping at anything to make us superior."

"Sounds like he's projecting."

"Or he has a superiority complex, which I don't understand given his quirk."

"He can copy people's quirks right?"

"Yeah, seems odd since if it's one-on-one with a distance fighter he's screwed."

"Maybe, but I guess I could see why he thinks he's better than everybody."

"Izuku, please don't feed his ego."

"I'm not, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of why he's acting the way he does."

"Is this that quirk whatever theory?"

"… Quirk Disposition Theory, and yes it is."

"Alright, alright, just get to the point already."

"Well, given that his quirk lets him copy other people's powers, he figures he can do whatever they can. Since he can copy multiple quirks at once, he technically is better than everyone else. He probably doesn't realize this, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a huge hit of dopamine everytime he copy's a quirk."

"Wow, very insightful, do you have any ideas on how to get him to stop acting like that?"

"Have you tried the famous Kendo chop?"

"No, I can't break that out at school, I could get in serious trouble."

"Why would you get in trouble? Just say you're doing your job as class rep by reprimanding his behavior."

"That… that could actually work, but that feels more like a big sister than a class rep."

"If the oversized glove fits."

"… Anyways, what if that doesn't work and he keeps acting up?"

"Well, this stuff is pretty ingrained into his ideology so it will take awhile. That being said, you could try scare tactics."

"Scare tactics? You want me to scare him every time he acts up?"

"No, think about things we tell little kids, 'If you keep making that face it will get stuck' or 'if you keep acting up Santa's gonna put you on the naughty list' those are scare tactics."

"Oh, yeah I could see that working, maybe something along the lines of, 'if you keep acting like that people will confuse you for a villian'."

"Is that really the best you could think of?"

"You think you can do better?"

"I know I can do better."

"Well let's hear it hot shot."

"If he doesn't stop causing problems the League of Villains is going to target him next."

"Wow… you sounded pretty serious there Izuku."

"It won't work if you're not serious about it. He needs to believe you're telling the truth."

"Well, I'll give it a shot."

"Keep me updated."

"I will."
