A few weeks had passed since Kendo had asked Midoriya to come to the sports festival and much to everyone's delight, things had gone back to normal. To everyone's knowledge, the League of Villains had gone back into hiding after their failed attempt to kill All Might. That being said, the attack still caused ripples and one of those ripples was the media focusing on the first years of UA, specifically 1-A. While most people didn't seem to mind a spotlight on the class, there was one person that seemed to be taking it poorly.

"I can't believe it, everyone's fawning over 1-A just because they survived an attack. This is a hero school, surviving an attack is literally the least you could do."

Monama was pacing back and forth in the waiting room of the arena. Everyone in the room seemed to let out a collective sigh since he was on another one of his rants again. Having had enough, Kendo decided to speak up.

"That's enough Monama, you're the only one that compares our classes."

Monama stopped and turned to Kendo with a smile. "That's exactly my point. They're not comparing us, because they believe we're so far below them that it's not close."

Kendo gently began to rub her temples. "Have any of them ever said anything remotely close to that?"

"No."

"Then shut up."

"But their actions and the way they carry themselves speak volumes. They're always walking around in their cliques, refusing to talk to anyone that's not in their class."

Kendo's mouth hung open as she looked at him stunned. "Do you actually believe the words that come out of your mouth?"

Monama laughed softly. "But we will no longer be inferior to them. Today we will once and for all show the world that class 1-B is superior to 1-A. The media that they love so much will be turned against them."

Tetsutetsu, who had been roused by the idea of competition, slammed his hand on the table. "I like the sound of that, let's beat 1-A!"

"That's the spirit, Tetsutetsu, and I have the perfect plan." Monama began to maniacally tap his fingers together. "The sports festival has always been three rounds, with the third one being some form of tournament. We should hang back in the first round and see what everyone can do."

Tetsutetsu stood up, upset at the idea. "That's not manly at all! We should be aiming for the top right out of the gates!"

Monama shook his head. "Relax, Tetsutetsu, this is just purely reconnaissance. We'll still aim for the top forty, that way we have a great view of 1-A while holding our cards close to our chest. We can see, firsthand, what they'll do and plan accordingly from there. Then in the second round, we go all out, securing as many tournament spots as we can."

Monama began to laugh as more of the class began to like his idea. Kendo could only shake her head in irritation. As much as she wanted to deny it, she couldn't, his plan made sense and it would work. That being said every fiber of her being was telling her to go all out from the beginning, it was all she ever knew when it came to competition.

As Kendo tried to ignore everything Monama was saying a familiar hand began to pat her back.

"It's alright, Itsuka, just think about showing off for lover boy."

Kendo looked up at her friend's toothy smile with slight annoyance. "I'm not trying to show off for him, Setsuna."

Tokage crossed her arms as she looked at her friend in disbelief. "Seriously…"

Kendos cheeks gained an ever so faint tint of pink as she looked away. "Alright, maybe I do just a little bit, but sue me for trying to look good for my boyfriend."

Tokage again brandished her shark tooth smile. "It's not that hard, all you have to do is show off a little more of these."

Tokage's hands detached from her body and began to float towards the zipper on Kendos jacket. Sensing that something was wrong, Kendo turned around just in time to snag the floating hands before they could expose anything.

"I'm not trying to show off in that sort of way. I just want to look cool and show him how far I've come."

Tokage sighed as she took her hands back from Kendo and reattached them. "Itsuka, why couldn't you let me have this? Can't you tell I'm trying to calm my nerves as well? I got in on recommendation, so I have to make a good showing or else it makes me and the people that recommended me look bad."

Kendo looked at her friend and could see the stress on her face, she wanted to help. As Kendo placed a hand on Tokage's shoulder the other girl looked at her with a soft smile.

"Look, Setsuna, what if I let you get one squeeze after everything is done today?"

Tokage's soft smile turned to one elation as she nodded rapidly. "Yes please."

Kendo continued to smile sweetly at Tokage, but the ever increasing grip on her shoulder paired with the silence told a different story.

Tokage laughed nervously. "That's some grip you got there Itsuka."

Kendo continued to increase the pressure as she silently smiled and stared at Tokage.

"Oh wow, that's actually starting to hurt now, hehe."

Kendo continued to up the pressure without breaking eye contact.

"Alright, I get it, no squeezes. Itsuka, please don't snap my collar bone."

Finally satisfied, Kendo released her grip and Setsuna nearly collapsed once she was freed. After all that, Kendo finally felt refreshed as she began to do some light stretches.

"Wow, I actually feel better now. Let's do this!"

While Kendo felt ready for what was to come, Tokage stood behind her sulking slightly.

"At least one of us is ready to go."

Kendo turned back to her friend feeling a little bit of guilt from the way she had treated her friend. With a sigh she ran her hand through her hair.

"Fine, if you do well, I'll ask Izuku if you can join us on our date for a little bit."

Tokage's eyes widened as she seemed to instantly perk up. "Deal."

"Attention please, all first years please make your way to the field for the opening ceremony."

After taking a deep breath, Kendo composed herself to take charge.

"Alright everyone, you heard them, let's go out there and show them what we can do!"

The rest of the class cheered as they followed Kendo through the tunnels that led to the entrance of the stadium's arena. They could hear the roar of the crowd as they approached the opening. Even though the tunnels had been well lit, the transition to natural lighting felt blinding. When their sight had returned, they found themselves standing on a green pitch, surrounded by a stadium filled with cheering fans. Even if the fans didn't know them, they still felt as if they had come to personally watch them.

Everyone looked around in awe at the sheer amount of people that had shown up. Kendo found herself looking around as well, but she was trying to find a needle in a haystack. She knew that it would be highly unlikely for her to pick him out in the crowd, but she was hopeful.

When the initial shock of the moment had faded, Kendo led her class to a stage that had been set up in the center of the arena. All the other classes made their way as well and before long, all the first years had been combined.

As everyone chatted in their small groups, a pair of foot steps began to echo throughout the arena. The distinct sound of high heels clacked across the stage, drawing everyone's attention to the scantily dressed woman standing in front of the microphone. You could hear a collective sigh from every woman in the stadium as they saw every man's reaction to the pro hero: Midnight.

The hero in question smirked suggestively as she felt everyone's gaze on her. Basking in the moment, she gazed across all faces of the first years, but she came to a stop when she saw Kendo's. Her smirk turned to a mischievous smile as she locked eyes with Kendo, sending a chill down the younger girl's spine.

Having found a potential new toy she took a deep breath before welcoming everyone. Her speech, somehow, felt extremely generic yet strangely organic as she talked about the usual themes of competition and sportsmanship. Her speech ended with her welcoming the first year representative, Katsuki Bakugo, to give a speech.

While it was annoying that they only took into account the practical exam, Kendo didn't necessarily hate that it was him.

"I just wanted to say that I'm gonna win."

Kendo furrowed her eyes at the boy as he walked off the stage. She chose to retract her previous feeling and decided that she did hate that he was chosen to give a speech.

'I just wanted to say that I'm gonna win.'

Midoriya couldn't help but laugh to himself as he thought about Bakugo's speech. Even though he had grown up since the last time he'd seen him, he still was as confident as ever, but hey, he upheld his promise and won. Sure it may not have been in the fashion he wanted to and maybe they had to chain him up for the award ceremony, but he still won.

Even though Midoriya was happy that his childhood friend had won, he was still upset that Kendo hadn't done better. She had finished twenty-eighth in the obstacle course, which was middle of the pack for those that advanced. When it came to the cavalry battle, her group had miraculously been offered two spots to the tournament after a couple withdrew, but she passed them up since her group was frozen most of the match.

It frustrated Midoriya that she would pass up such a prime opportunity, but he knew she had her reasons. He was just going to have to find a way to pry it out of her when she finally gets out of her review with her teacher.

Midoriya sighed as he leaned against the entrance to UA. Even though he had come to support Kendo, he was curious to see how those he shot with the drug were holding up after the attack. He was happy when he noticed the two that had actually been shot weren't holding back or second guessing themselves during the first two events. He was ecstatic when saw that all three of them had made it into the tournament round, but that didn't last long since Ojiro was one of the people to withdraw.

Yusa was in the first round against some kid from the general studies course. Even though she looked confident, Midoriya could see her constantly glancing back at her wings as if she was making sure they were still there. He wasn't sure if it was because of the drug or not, but it was safe to say it had some sort of effect on her mental state.

That fight ended quickly when Yusa accidentally hit the kid in the nuts. Even though it hurt most guys watching another man get hit there, Midoriya for some reason found it oddly satisfying as he chuckled at the man's pain. His laugh didn't go unnoticed as it prompted a few strange looks from those around him.

The strangest of those looks came from the woman with seafoam green hair that was sitting next to him. Seeing someone else laugh made her laugh as well before striking up a conversation. The entire time she kept looking at him as if she knew him from somewhere, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Knowing that, Midoriya, internally panicked as he thought she had recognized him as Phoenix; his fears quickly subsided after she asked if he wanted to be adopted by her.

The only other fight Midoriya really cared about was the one Yaoyorozu was in. He expected big things from her, since she reacted quickly enough to block his shot at the USJ, but she flopped in the tournament. She was knocked out of the first round because she got overwhelmed. Seeing that depressed Midoriya and made him contemplate if he needed to work harder. His shot had been blocked by a girl who lost a fight to a shadow in the middle of the day.

A soft nudge on his shoulder broke Midoriya from his stupor and when he looked up she saw Kendo's gentle smile.

"Everything alright, Izuku?"

Midoriya smiled softly. "Yeah, just doing some thinking."

Kendo laughed sweetly. "You always get lost in your thoughts don't you?"

"Oh God, it's so sweet I'm gonna be sick."

Midoriya jumped at the voice while Kendo sighed. "Seriously, Setsuna? I know you're loving every second of this."

Tokage laughed as she rubbed the back of her head. "Guilty as charged, I just wanted to interrupt."

Midoriya looked at Tokage and smiled. "You must be the Setsuna I've heard so much about. It's nice to finally meet you."

Tokage pretended to swoon at his words. "A first name basis already! You really do work quick, lover boy!"

Kendo rolled her eyes as she groaned. "I knew this was a bad idea. Setsuna, Izuku, Izuku, Setsuna, there, introductions are over."

Tokage threw her arm around Kendo and pulled her in. "Oh come on, Itsuka, lover boy is just getting started to know everyone. Isn't that right?"

Kendo looked over to where Tokage was gesturing to see the rest of her class making their way over. She could feel a headache coming on as Monama and Tetsutetsu rushed over to see what was going on. Thankfully most of them were too tired from the sports festival to be over the top about meeting their class representatives boyfriend.

After everyone had been introduced the majority of them left only leaving a few behind. Naturally the conversation drifted back to the sports festival.

"Man, I can't believe that Bakugo guy really kept his promise. It was so manly, but I hate that arrogance!"

Midoriya shrugged. "I don't know, I don't think it was arrogance."

Everyone turned to look at Midoriya confused. "Izuku, how's it not arrogance? He used his speech to say that he would win."

"It's the way he said it. His tone was calm and he wasn't talking down to everyone. It was almost like he was trying to tell himself that he was going to win."

"Yeah, I'm not buying that." Monama crossed his arms while shaking his head. "Class 1-A has always thought they were better than everyone else."

Midoriya narrowed his eyes on Monama before he noticed another group walking by. His eyes instantly locked onto someone. "Well if that's the case why don't I humble them?"

Monama started to laugh. "Oh wow you're crazy! How do you plan to humble them when you didn't even make it into UA?"

Kendo's eyes widened as she tightened her grip on Midoriya's hand. Midoriya returned the squeeze before letting go. "I'll figure something out."

Kendo quickly clutched onto his arm as he turned away. "Izuku, don't do anything stupid."

Izuku smiled softly. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. You know I can handle myself."

Kendo reluctantly let go of his arm. Once he was free Midoriya turned around and started walking towards the class 1-A.

"Wow, I can't believe they took the muzzle off the bitch."

Kendo's eyes widened as she instantly took off after Midoriya. "Izuku, what the hell!"

The entirety of class 1-A came to a stop as they stared at Midoriya. The only one who didn't turn was Bakugo, he stood frozen as he looked in the opposite direction.

"What the hell did you just say?"

A boy with red hair quickly tried to push Bakugo away. "Relax Bakugo, he's just trying to get a reaction from you.

Midoriya began to laugh. "What's wrong, did they take your balls as well when they took you off the leash?"

Bakugo quickly spun around and started walking towards Midoriya with murder in his eyes. "You looking for a fight, nerd?"

Midoriya smirked as she started walking again. "I never thought you'd ask."

The two of them were face to face. Small explosions came from Bakugo's hands, while flames danced in Midoriya's. Hoping to diffuse the situation Kendo pulled Midoriya back, while the red haired boy stood in front of Bakugo.

"Izuku, this isn't helping the situation at all! What's gotten into you!?"

The two boys kept their eyes locked on each other. Bakugo charged past Kirishima and rushed Midoriya. Seeing this Midoriya knocked Kendo's hand off of him.

Time slowed for everyone as the two boys rushed each other. The scene of the two of them beating each other senseless rushed through everyone's minds; however, that scene never played out. Instead the two embraced in a quick bro-hug leaving everyone stunned.

"What the hell are you doing here, Deku?"

Midoriya motioned towards Kendo, whose jaw was dropped and was speechless. "I came to support my girlfriend."

Bakugo looked around and eyed Kendo before looking back at Midoriya. "You and Red?"

Kendo's eye began to twitch uncontrollably as Midoriya laughed. "Actually it's orange, Kacchan"

Bakugo looked at her one more time. "She hates being called a red head?"

Kendo's eyes began to twitch again. Midoriya nodded while smirking. "Yeah, but she loves being called Big Sis."

From behind him Midoriya heard Tokage gasp. "Holy shit! Itsuka is our class's big sister!"

Bakugo scoffed. "Whatever you say, Deku. Hey, since you're in town, why don't you come to dinner tonight? The old hag has been wanting to see you again."

Midoriya looked back at Kendo who was tapping her foot impatiently. "I might swing by later, I kind of had a date tonight."

"She can come, the old hag won't mind."

"I'll have to run it by her first, but I'll let you know later."

Bakugo laughed as he turned around with a hand in the air. "Whatever you say, Deku. You know you're welcome anytime."

Midoriya laughed as well as he walked away. "Just don't tell Auntie I was here, Kacchan. She'll kill me."

"I make no promises."

Midoriya sighed as he looked around the stunned faces of class 1-A. He recognized all of them from the files, a few were staring at him completely confused while one was petrified. He momentarily locked eyes with the boy as he began to quiver in fear. Getting tired of all the eyes, Midoriya nervously rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry for causing a scene, we're childhood friends and it's been years since we last saw each other."

As Midoriya finished apologizing, a giant hand engulfed him and pulled him back to the small group of the remaining class 1-B students. Even though he was back in the group, Kendo refused to release him.

"Izuku, what the hell was all that?"

"Are you asking about the whole fake fight or the nickname?"

"Both!"

"Well, like I just said, Kacchan and I are childhood friends, so that's sort of our thing. As far as the nickname goes it was that or he'd call you re-"

Midoriya was cut off by Kendo squeezing him before he could finish the word. When she released the pressure he gasped for air.

"It was that or he'd call you r-e-d until the day he dies."

Kendo sighed. "Fine, but now they're gonna call me big sis."

Toakage shook her head. "Not just us, I've already sent it in the group chat. Everyone in class now knows you as 'Big Sis Kendo'."

Kendo groaned in annoyance. "How could this day get any worse?"

"We could have dinner with Kacchan and his family."

"I could make a move on, lover boy."

"You could break Midoriya's ribs, killing him."

"A meteor could crash into UA causing all of us to leave the hero course."

Everyone stopped and turned to Tetsutetsu. Out of everything that could have been said, his was by far the weirdest.

"What? It's a crazy world we live in, anything's possible."

Sighing, Kendo finally let go of Midoriya. "Well, on that note, I think it's time we go."

After saying their goodbyes, Midoriya and Kendo walked along the sidewalk hand in hand. Their pace was slower than normal thanks to Kendos exhaustion.

"So, you and Bakugo knew each other growing up."

Midoriya nodded. "Yeah."

Kendo smiled uneasily. "I'm guessing that's why you said his speech wasn't arrogant."

Midoriya laughed. "Yeah, normally he would have gone on about how great he is or about how everyone should stay out of his way. It looks like something humbled him recently that made him realize he isn't invincible."

"Could it have been the USJ attack?"

Midoriya shrugged unconcerned. "Maybe, but it probably has to do with the fact that growing up he was a big fish in a little pond and now he's just a fish in a pond."

Kendo shook her head with a soft smile. "How did you put up with that attitude all that time?"

"Kacchan is an… acquired taste. Sure he's brash and egotistical, but his confidence and tenacity is something to admire."

Kendo sighed as she leaned into his shoulder. "Does this mean I have to like him now?"

"Of course not, but it would be nice if you could at least tolerate him."

"I guess I can do that."

Midoriya gently squeezed her hand. "Thanks, Itsuka."

Kendo smiled as she felt his grip tighten. "So are you gonna go visit them later?"

Midoriya shook his head. "Probably not, driving to Chiba and back to Musutafu is exhausting, and I'm guessing you don't want to spend the evening with people you don't know."

Kendo's eyes widened slightly as she blushed. "Well, you're not wrong about that, but it's your childhood friend that you haven't seen in… uh how long has it been?"

"Since before I was adopted, but I called them a few years ago."

Kendo came to a stop as she stared at him in disbelief. "Izuku… are you serious?"

Midoriya tilted his head, slightly confused. "Is everything alright, Itsuka?"

"Izuku, go spend time with them, I'm sure they're worried about you."

"But what about our date?"

"I see you every week and talk to you every day and it's been years for them."

"Are you sure, Itsuka?"

Kendo nodded, before teasingly pushing him forward. "Yes, now let's hurry up and meet Amajiki at the station, he's probably curled up in a corner by now."

Midoriya nodded as he let himself be pushed ahead by Kendo. With their plans changing and the more than likely rapidly declining mental fortitude of Amajiki, Kendo and Midoriya quickened their pace towards the station.

Ten minutes later Kendo and Midoriya found themselves looking at a sight they hadn't expected. Not only was Amajiki not curled up in a corner, but he was standing reasonably confidently with two people behind him. Midoriya looked to Kendo for clarification, but the surprised look on her face told him that she had no clue what was going on.

After taking a deep breath Amajiki sent an intimidating glare at Midoriya. "So, I'm guessing you're Midoriya."

Midoriya didn't falter at the glare, instead he met him with confident eyes. "I am, that must mean you're the Amajiki, I've heard so much about."

"That's right."

The two of them kept their eyes locked on the other in silence, while the others watched with anticipation. After what realistically was ten seconds, Amajiki faltered and turned around with his head hung.

"I told you it wouldn't work, Mirio. Anyone that has the confidence to date Kendo wouldn't get scared by a glare."

Kendo raised an eye at Amajiki. "I'm sorry, what exactly do you mean by that, Amajiki?"

A chill ran down his spine as the realization of his words finally hit. "I… uh… I… I…"

Midoriya put a hand on Kendo's shoulder as he tried to deflate the situation. "Itsuka, he just meant that your confidence would scare off a lesser man."

The girl with blue hair sucked her teeth at his words. "Oooooooo."

Kendo turned to Midoriya with a sickly sweet smile. A cold sweat ran down Midoriya's face as Kendo raised her hand, expanding it ever so slightly. A swift chop was sent to Midoriya's neck causing him to crumple instantaneously. The boy and girl that stood behind Amajiki could only stare wide-eyed at what they had just witnessed.

Dusting off her hand, Kendo turned back to the others with her normal smile. "What, he had it coming?"

The blonde-haired boy nervously scratched the back of his head obviously. "Well, obviously."

The blue-haired girl rapidly nodded. "Totally, I mean just look at you, you're gorgeous."

Kendo blushed slightly while twirling the end of her ponytail. "I… um, thank you, but who exactly are you two?"

The blonde-haired boy pointed to himself with his thumb. "Im Mirio Togata, a third year."

The girl beamed at Kendo. "I'm Nejire Hado, also a third year student, but I share a class with Amajiki."

Kendo's eyes widened. "Oh, you're the friend that gave Amajiki advice."

Hado smiled as she tilted her head to the side. "Yep, I see it worked out. Yaaa!"

Kendo laughed softly at the girl's energy, before silence recaptured the moment. As they all looked at each other awkwardly, Midoriya began to stir. Shaken, he got to his feet as he rubbed the spot the Kendo had hit.

"I uh… I guess I said something stupid again."

"Yes, yes you did."

"I'm sorry."

"Good."

Kendo sent him a genuine smile before taking a deep breath. "So, not that it hasn't been lovely meeting you two, but why are you here?"

"Oh that's simple-"

Togata began to explain, but he was quickly cut off by Hado.

"Amajiki said he was meeting his friend's boyfriend today so we decided to be nosey."

Togata laughed at her antics. "Yeah, that and we figured he could use a confidence boost."

Kendo looked over at Amajiki who gave a shaky thumbs up. "You did a real bang up job with that one."

"Yeah, we're still working on that, but he'll get there eventually."

Midoriya looked at Amajiki and felt conflicted. The gaze he had given him earlier wasn't an act, but he wasn't sure where that aura had gone.

"Hey, Amajiki, I bet you have some good stories about Itsuka, care to share any?"

Amajiki slowly looked at Midoriya. "Why would I do that? Kendo would just get mad."

Midoriya nervously rubbed the back of his head. "Well when you put it like that a can't help but agree."

Kendo sent a spine chilling glare at Midoriya.

"But, to save my own life, I'll just retract my question."

Kendo nodded before shoving Midoriya. "Well as fun as this has been, Izuku has to go. Apparently one of his friends goes to UA and he was invited to dinner."

Amajiki looked Kendo confused. "But I thought you two were going on a date?"

Kendo put her hands on her hips. "Plans can change Amajiki, besides he hasn't seen them in years."

Amajiki looked at Kendo before sighing. "Why do you always change plans so often? It's exhausting."

"Because, I can. Now, let's go. I don't want to miss the train."

Kendo pushed Amajiki towards the turnstiles before walking back to Midoriya. The two of them stared into each other's eyes for a moment before she wrapped her arms around him.

"Let me know when you get there, and when you get home tonight. Okay ?"

Midoriya nodded as he got lost in a sea of orange. "I will."

"Thank you."

Kendo broke the hug, before she jogged to catch up with Amajiki, leaving Midoriya with his friends standing awkwardly. The three of them shared an awkward look before Midoriya spoke up.

"So… Do you think it went well?"

The two of them looked at each other before shrugging silently. Seeing their reaction, Midoriya could only sigh.

"I honestly don't know what I was expecting."

While Midoriya was leaving the station, Kendo and Amajiki sat next to each other on the train. The silence between the two of them wasn't unusual, but it felt strained this time.

"So, what do you think?"

"It's hard to get an idea from one short meeting, especially when he spent most of it unconscious."

Kendo shrugged as she clicked through her phone. "Maybe, but I'm guessing you learned almost everything you needed by that stare down."

Amajiki sighed as he turned to look out the window. "There's something unsettling about him, but he didn't seem threatening."

Kendo looked at him with peaked interest. "What do you mean?"

"I don't know why, but it felt like he could kill you if he wanted to, but he wasn't going to."

Kendo was taken back by that statement. "Really?"

Amajiki nodded. "Yeah, but besides that he seemed nice enough."

Kendo smiled softly. "So does that mean you approve?"

"Would you have listened even if I didn't?"

"Nope."

Amajiki sighed. "You're exhausting, Kendo."

Kendo laughed to herself as she rapidly clicked through her phone. Even if she kept up her happy expression on the outside, on the inside she was thinking about what Amajiki had said.

'Izuku's not like that. He's a good kid."

Forty-five minutes after he left the station, Midoriya found himself standing in front of a familiar house. As he walked through the gate, he was met with a flood of memories of him and Bakugo running around and playing heroes. When he reached the front door, he took a deep breath before knocking. The sound of a woman's yelling could be heard approaching the door.

When the door opened, a woman that looked exactly like Bakugo was seen in the doorway. Her annoyed expression quickly changed to one of confusion, before returning to being annoyed. Midoriya laughed nervously as he looked up at the woman.

"Long time no see, Auntie."

The woman narrowed her eyes at him. "I'm sorry, but we're not buying anything you're selling."

Midoriya's eyes widened at her response. "I… uh… what?"

"Get out of here, we're not interested you hear."

Midoriya sighed and turned around to leave, before he was able to take a step he felt a pair of arms wrap around him and a head rest on top of his.

"It's good to see you again Izuku, would it kill you to call every once and awhile?"

Midoriya placed his hand on her arm as he leaned into her hug. "Sorry, life's been crazy."

"For three years?"

"… Would you believe me if I said yes?"

A quick slap was delivered to the back of his head. "No, now are you gonna come in or not?"

Midoriya laughed as he rubbed the back of his head. "Of course."

Bakugo's mom smiled as she walked back inside. "Hey, Masaru, Katsuki, come see what the cat dragged in."

Bakugo's dad made his way around the corner and went wide eyed before he cleaned his glasses. "Izuku? You sure have grown up, son."

Midoriya shrugged slightly embarrassed. "Well, I would hope so, it has been a long time."

He nodded in agreement. "Far too long."

The sounds of Bakugo's footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs, he came to a stop when he saw Midoriya. "It's about time you showed up, Deku."

Mitsuki turned to Bakugo, annoyed. "You knew Izuku was in town, and didn't say anything?"

Bakugo shrugged, unfazed. "Deku was at the sports festival."

Mitsuki turned to Midoriya, annoyed. "You were in town and weren't even planning to come visit, weren't you?"

Midoriya scratched his head as he looked away. "Of course not, besides it was Kacchan who decided to not tell you anything."

"What the hell, Deku?! You told me not to tell them!"

"You really think I would do something like that? I haven't seen you guys in years, why wouldn't I visit?"

Mitsuki delivered a swift smack to both Midoriya and Bakugo. "Enough, you brats are both getting on my nerves!"

Masaru grabbed his wife's shoulders. "Calm down, Mitsuki, let's just enjoy the time we have now."

Mitsuki sighed before walking into the kitchen. "Fine. Now let's eat before the food gets cold and Izuku, I want to know everything you've been up to."

With a sigh and slap on the back from Bakugo, Midoriya begrudgingly made his way to the table. Most of the meal was spent with Midoriya telling of everything he's been up to, mainly his stories of working at the shop. Mitsuki chewed his ear off after he told them that he wasn't going to high school. Even if he has a secured job, she still felt like he should have seen it through. She did, however, feel proud when he told them about the girl he was teaching.

When the meal was finished the four of them still sat around the kitchen table sipping on coffee. Mitsuki had enjoyed spending all this time hearing about Midoriya's life. Even with everything that had been said, she still had a few questions as she stirred her drink.

"So, Izuku, why did you go to the UA sports festival?"

"I went to support a friend."

Mitsuki raised an eye with intrigue. "A friend that wasn't Katsuki?"

"Yeah."

"He's got a girlfriend."

Mitsuki spit out her coffee while Midoriya looked at Bakugo in disbelief.

"Kacchan, why!?"

Bakugo shrugged as he drank his coffee. "Why not?"

"Mhmm."

Mitsuki tapped her mug as she smiled innocently at Midoriya. "My oh my, Izuku, why did you leave that detail out during your story?"

"I uh… I didn't think it was important."

"Uh-huh. Well, tell me more."

"Did she put up a fight?"

Everyone stopped and looked at Bakugo stunned. Masaru, who seemed the most surprised, cleared his throat. "Katsuki, did you-"

"Quote Grease? Yeah, it's a classic."

Mitsuki looked at her son extremely confused. "Well… that's something. Now Izuku, who is this girl?"

"Her name's Itsuka Kendo, she's in class 1-B at UA."

Mitsuki placed her elbows on the table as she held her cup. "And how did you meet her?"

"She came into the shop with her dad and it sort of just happened. We started talking and one thing led to the next."

"I see, and is there a reason you didn't bring her here tonight?"

Midoriya smiled softly as he stirred his drink. "Yeah, she thinks Kacchan is an arrogant prick."

"What the hell?!"

"Oh God, that's priceless!"

While Bakugo and his mother continued to argue back and forth, Masaru sat back with a gentle smile enjoying the family dynamic he learned to love. Midoriya on the other hand could only vacantly smile as he imagined all the things he missed out on growing up and how his life could have turned out.

Sensing a bit of uneasiness, Masaru, placed a hand on Midoriya's shoulder. "Izuku, why don't you stay here tonight?"

"Oh no, I don't want to intrude."

"Shut it kid, you're staying."

Midoriya looked at Mitsuki who was staring at him with determination, she wasn't going to let him leave so easily this time. With a sigh, Midoriya gave in.

"Alright, thanks for having me."

Mitsuki smiled as she stood up from the table. "Alright, Katsuki get him some clothes to sleep in."

Bakugo stood up and started to make his way upstairs. "Don't tell me what to do ya old hag."

Midoriya stood up to follow Bakugo, but he was stopped by Mitsuki wrapping her arms around him again. "I know I didn't say it earlier, but welcome home Izuku."

Midoriya laughed softly. "You know I don't live here right?"

Mitsuki shook her head as she held him tighter. "It doesn't matter, you'll always have a home here."

"Thanks, Auntie."

She nodded softly as she let go of him. "Your parents would be proud of the young man you've grown into."

"You really think so?"

"Yes, even with you dropping out of school, I know they'd be proud."

Midoriya smiled softly as he clutched his phone, the screen was illuminated with a notification from both Kendo and Kai. He wanted to believe that his parents would be proud, but he knew they wouldn't like the path he chose to follow.

A/N:

Alright, I hope you all have been enjoying the story so far. I just wanted to give everyone a little update on some things. Unfortunately I am going to be stepping away from this story for a little bit after next week's chapter. That doesn't mean I'm giving up this story, I just need to step away and think about where I'm going with it.

I already have everything planned out for where I want it to go, but as of recently I'm not happy with it. It could just be me overthinking things, but to me it's starting to feel more like an Izuku revenge story that just so happens to be IzuKendo and less of an IzuKendo story that revolves around his revenge, hopefully that explanation made sense.

I don't plan on redoing any chapters, I just need some time to look at where I'm at and how I want to bring everything back together. I hope you all understand why I'm doing this and will stay with me till the end. That's all I have for now, so I'll see you all next week and hope to have more updates soon.
