On with the show.
Artemis, Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch.
The Dinner in the castle was a loud and annoying affair, made better by sitting with her son and her hunters, even Zoë, who she knew took all her meals in her room even after being formally invited to eat at the high table with Albus and the other Professors had joined them. It seemed that the Table of the Lions was a good fit for her hunters when they weren't pointing wands at one of them, as her hunters chatted politely with a few of the more curious lions as Atalanta and Harry caught up with each other over dinner about what has happened to both of them over the year while they ate. Artemis herself didn't eat or drink anything because she didn't need to, her hunters had permission to eat their fill this night as well, whether they had hunted or not.
Artemis' eyes drifted one of two ways throughout the feast, either to her son, who's been calling her "mum" for most of the day, only stopping around the other students or others in the know, she didn't know she was smiling every time he did it until Cecilla pointed it out but even that didn't stop her from doing it. Then there was The Cup, it shined silver with a twisting nebula sitting in it and she wanted it, Harry was either going to win it for her, or she was going to steal it, Harry winning it would be the far simpler option, fewer questions asked then sending a hunter to steal it; But one way or another, Artemis was getting that cup, she even had the perfect place picked out in her temple to put it.
Before long Albus had called an end to dinner, asking the students and champions to head down to the Quidditch Pitch while holding the champions and the respective Judges behind, she sends her hunters except for Zoë down to the pitch with Harry's friends, Sirius and Remus telling them she would be joining them soon. As the champions and Judges gather near the entrance she, Zoë, and Harry walk over and join them, Albus greeting her with a slight bow of his head, and the other four judges eye her with confusion.
"Excuse me, Ma'am, but this is a meeting for the heads of the schools and the champions before the task if you wouldn't mind-" a man, Ludo Bagman, tries to tell her but is cut off by Albus.
"No need for that, Ludo, this woman is Lady Diana, Leader of the Hunters of Artemis, she has every right to be here as well," Albus says calmly while standing beside Angelina Johnson with his hands folded behind his back to the surprise to Ludo Bagman and the other judges.
"Oh! My apologies then Lady Diana," the man says with an apologetic look on his face to which Artemis just nods, accepting it as an honest mistake but saying nothing else.
"You are Diana Phaesporia," another man, Igor Kakaroff says with a frown, "From how your Lieutenant spoke of you, I'd thought you would be ten feet tall, but you do not look like much let alone a hunter of monsters," the man says with a scowl.
Zoë and Harry immediately step forward, both reaching for their respective weapons, "Stop," Artemis says softly, freezing both her son and oldest friend in their place before turning to the mortal who opened his mouth, "A word to the wise, Igor Kakaroff, one can never judge the difficulty of a hunt by the size of their prey alone, for you would not hunt a snake the same way one would hunt a lion," she says, looking the mortal in the eyes and watches him take a step back, "And if you speak to me in such a disrespectful tone again, you will find out just how I hunt monsters, all monsters, of all kinds," Artemis says in a hard tone as the Hunt leaks into the man as he begins to shake before she calmly looks away.
Albus coughs, catching everyone's shaken attention back on him, "Perhaps we should continue, we do not want to fall behind after all," He says, before Ludo Bagman nods his head and drives into some inane speech about how well each of the champions had done so far, and in her opinion, Harry had done the best out of all of them but Angelina Johnson coming in second. Ludo Bagman explains the task, it was rather simple, a simple Hedge maze each of the champions had to navigate through based on the Fae-Hedges of old English "Myth". There were plenty of charms, enchantments, and wards in the maze to add a bit of danger to the already-living maze but other than the champions, no other living things were going to be in the maze. The champions would be entering based on their total score with Angelina Johnson entering first, followed by Harry and Victor Krum five minutes after her, and finally the half-fae ten minutes after Angelina. The headmasters would have a few minutes to share some final words of encouragement and wisdom when they got down to the maze before they started officially.
After that, the group of champions and judges headed down to the quidditch pitch, they announced each champion and what school they belonged to in order of score. She watched with amusement as Victor Krum and Harry played rock, paper, scissors on who would be going out second. Kakaroff looked as if he wanted to say something but a glare from both herself and Victor Krum shut the man up after Harry had won the game. Krum had clapped Harry on his shoulder, wishing him luck and Harry had returned the words to all the other champions, wisely the half-fae said nothing in her presence before they called them out.
But Angelina Johnson and Harry entered to the roar and applause of their school, "Roar, Roar, Gryffindor, Roar, Roar, Hogwarts! Roar, Roar, Gryffindor, Roar, Roar, Hunters!" they sang out, bringing a small smile to Artemis' face at the cheers for her hunt as she walked out with Zoë and Harry.
Harry turns to look up at her after the half-fae had been announced, "Well, any last words of Wisdom or encouragement?" he asks with a lopsided grin.
"Don't die, brat, or I'll kill you," Zoë says in a flat voice but a smirk on her face as Harry's smile widens.
"I'll try not, big sister," he says back snarkily, both of them sharing a fond smile before Harry turns back to her.
"Get me the cup so I don't have to steal it," Artemis says flatly in a bored tone of voice as Harry's smile drops a bit, his shoulders slumping, "Did I say something wrong?" she thinks to herself.
Harry rolls his eyes, "You're supposed to wish me luck or something like that, Mum," he says looking at her, causing Artemis' heart to flutter with joy at the word.
"Why would I wish you luck? I already know you can do this, there is nothing in that maze that you can not overcome Harry," she says, watching the boy blink before the smile creeps back onto his face, "We are the hunt, and the hunt is with us, for we-" Artemis begins to remind Harry of her iron-clad belief in him, and he finishes it with her.
"Are prey to nothing and no one," they say at the same time sharing the same smile before Harry steps forward and hugs her, Artemis returns the gesture with a smile on her lips.
She was going to brag to Apollo the next time she saw him, "Oh, your son composed a new song, well mine killed a dragon with unbreakable scales," she felt a burning sense of pride at the words in her head. They break apart before she and Zoë turn and begin to walk off the field before she hears Albus, who was speaking to Angelina Johnson beforehand, speak up behind her.
"If you don't mind me saying, Lady Diana, it brings a smile to my face and joy to this old heart of mine to see you and Harry as you are now," Albus says with a happy tone as he walks behind her, a smile tugging at his lips. She nods but says nothing else, Albus wasn't enough of a fool to think a few placating words would save him from his fate after his death, nor did she think he would try and trick her uncle out of his punishment; Albus was just happy to see a student he cares about smiling at his mother, and the mother smiling back at the student.
Zoë and Albus split off to head off to the Judges Box as Artemis wonders into the stands and crowds, in quick time she found her hunters sitting with Harry's house team, his friends, the guard dog, the hunting hound, and The Girl(who was sitting as far away from her hunters as she could.) She sees an opportunity and with a narrowing of her eyes, she forces what thin mist surrounds the school to bend to her will and hide her from mortal eyes and slips into the seat next to the girl and the guard dog before letting the mist fall away.
She crosses her ankles as she leans back in the stands while looking down at the field watching Harry talking with Angelina Johnson, telling her that Artemis wanted the cup. The look of disbelief on Angelina Johnson's face brings a smile to Artemis' face before a small sound catches her attention and she turns to look at The Girl who was now looking at her wide eye and pale as Artemis smiles down at her causing the girl to lean away from her. The Girl bumps into the Guard dog while leaning back, he turns and looks to see Artemis looming over The Girl, he looks between the angry goddess and the scared teenager and sighs to himself.
The Guard dog shakes the girl's shoulder, making her jump in her seat like a scared rabbit but she doesn't turn away from Artemis, "Switch me spots?" The older man offers and the girl grabs the offer like a thick root while she is rolling down a hill to the death and she and the Guard dog switch seats quickly. This does not dissuade the Goddess at all, all it had done was switch her targets, she leans in, hissing directly into the guard dog's ear.
"You owe me for having a part in burning down my cabin, do you understand me, Guard Dog?" She says, causing the man to pale a bit and lean away from her nodding.
"Just, ah, just send me the check?" The Guard Dog says with a weak grin.
"Oh, I will, and I do hope you enjoy the taste of salt water," She says with a glare at Sirius, who looks at her confused as she sits back in the stands to look back on the field, Harry was looking up at them with concern in his eyes, Artemis smiles down at him before waving at him, and her smiles deepens when he waves back with his smile.
The announcer, Ludo Bagman, begins to welcome everyone to the final task before introducing the champions starting with Angelina Johnson, then Victor Krum, when he says Harry's name she can hear her hunters scream, jump up and down, and generally act like fools. For one odd moment, she felt that she was back in Rome on one of the rare trips to the city, and how they snuck into the Coliseum to watch the games, faces hidden beneath scarves to sneak past the other demigods and guards to enjoy the shows and battles that were put on.
The announcer says something about a map and in a flash of light and smoke a flat 2-D map appears just before the stands of the Hedge, allowing the audience to watch the progress of each of the champions in the maze and how the living hedge changes from one minute to the next. It was an impressive feat of mortal magic, something Hephaestus could create in his sleep with bits of scrap, but impressive for mortals. Ludo Bagman continues to speak, giving a grand speech she was sure as Artemis relaxed, leaning back into her seat with Her eyes firmly planted forward to watch Harry as he began to stretch, she smiled a bit, still not believing what he had said on the astronomy tower.
Artemis only moves when she feels someone sit down beside her, she turns her head with a frown and a glare, intent on scaring off who had sat beside her. But when she turns, she comes eye to eye with the widest misty blue eyes she had ever caught a glimpse of, the blonde girl smiles up at her dreamily.
"Hello," The misty-eyed girl says, her smile never leaving her face or faltering in the face of Artemis' glare, "Are you Harry Potter's mother?" she asks, causing Artemis to blink a few times in surprise as she feels the guard dog lean forward to look at the girl in shock.
"Why ever would you ask that, Luna Lovegood?" Artemis asks, already knowing the maiden's name.
"Well, it's because you glow like him," Luna says in a dreamy like voice, "All bright and silvery, you both have the same eyes as well, silver cats eyes, but your hair is much nicer, like a nebula," she says as she tilts her head back and forth and kicks her feet.
Artemis narrowed her eyes on the girl, Miss Lovegood could see her true form through the haze and protective layer of the mist, she saw Artemis for what she was, this girl could see through the mist and Artemis smiled before leaning forward.
"Can you keep a secret, little one?" Artemis asks with a smirk before Luna nods her head.
"I am very good at keeping secrets," Luna says nodding her head adorably, "I haven't told anyone about Mister Kitty-What's secrets yet," she says.
Artemis didn't know what a "Mister Kitty-What" was, but she had the odd feeling she would want to shoot it,...multiple times, but she smiles at the girl all the same before leaning forward a bit more to whisper into her ear. "I am, in a way," Artemis says before leaning back and she and the girl share a coy smile before the sound of a cannon goes off, making them turn to watch Angelina Johnson run into the Hedge maze. Miss Lovegood relaxes back into her seat as Artemis begins to count down the minutes before Harry gets her the cup, as she also slips a brochure for the Hunters of Artemis into Miss Lovegood's pockets.
Harry was standing with the remaining champions talking with the legacy and the abomination, both Harry and the abomination had their wands out and it seems the abomination was walking Harry through some wand movements before a sharp crack was heard, and a flash of sound, fire, and force could be heard as something on the ground explodes in a small way where Harry was pointing his wand. He jumps a bit as the abomination laughs at the sight before patting Harry on the back, the urge to shoot the abomination increases tenfold as she touches Harry.
Artemis sighs in relief as the abomination steps back and Harry and the legacy talk for a moment, the legacy pointing at the left side of the maze, and Harry nods once as they both bend their knees ready and waiting.
Boom!
The canon goes off and she watches Harry and the legacy charge into the maze, Artemis tilts her head up to look at the 2-D maze and sees the red dot of Angelina Johnson running about in the maze as a silver and olive green one soon follows. Artemis closes her eyes and leans back in her seat, her hands still in her pockets, intent on waiting for Harry to bring her cup, and just in case planning out how to steal it from the carriage and boat respectively.
The third cannon goes off, allowing the Abomination into the maze.
Five minutes pass as the whispers of the crowd pass over her and she feels something edging closer to her face slowly.
"If you even think about drawing on my face Guard dog I will cram that wand somewhere you will not enjoy," she says as the object stops before slowly moving away from her face as Luna Lovegood giggles beside her.
Ten minutes pass and Artemis begins to frown, "What is taking him so long?" she thinks to herself.
Fifteen minutes pass, and Artemis begins to grow impatient.
"Let it drown,"
Artemis' eyes snap open as she sits up in her seat and looks around.
"Please, let it drown"
It was Harry's voice and he was praying, not to her, but like in the Chamber it was coming directly to her, "But why is he praying?" she asks herself as she looks up at the map seeing the silver dot running around the maze at great speed. Artemis closes her eyes and focuses on the link between her and all those with her blessing, she's able to easily find Harry in the tangled wild mess of the Hunt and she grabs onto it and feels fear, abject horror, the pain in his palm, and the wild desperation. That was all she needed as she went to stand, to teleport to where her son was to see what was wrong, but as she stands she feels something shove her back and into the chair.
Artemis freezes, something stopped her, she can feel the threads wrapped around her wrists and throat, holding her back from leaving the stands, and the horror that she felt in Harry begins to bloom in her chest; For there was only one thing that could stop a god from doing anything.
"No, No, No, No," Artemis says, each word growing in horror as terror grips her immortal heart just as she stands and begins to charge through the stands ignoring the Guard dog calling her name, she had to get to Albus.
She takes the stairs up to the judge's box three at a time, "Albus! Albus!" Artemis yells over the crowd, panic echoing in her voice as she sees both Zoë and the Headmaster turn to her in confusion as she runs up to them, "Harry is no longer in the maze!" she tells them, Zoë's eyes going wide as Albus' narrow before flickering to the screen following the silver dot.
"How do you know?" Albus asks, looking back to the Goddess, his face grim before Zoë turns to him with a glare.
"He prayed, I tried to go to him but I was stopped," Artemis informs the Headmaster, hissing out the last of the words and watching as Albus' eyes widen but before he could speak a sound, Kakaroff jumps and hisses out in sudden pain as he grabs his forearm. His eyes go wide and he pales as a dawning horror grows over his face, he looks over to Albus, and for a moment their eyes meet before Kakaroff stands up, saying something about the bathroom before running off with his forearm still gripped tightly.
Albus' face goes blank before he steps down from the box and walks to the stairway of the Quidditch pitch, "Albus, Where are-" but before Artemis could finish demanding answers, Albus holds up his hand.
"A moment Lady Artemis, I need to confirm something," He says as he steps into the stairway and waits, and before Artemis could demand answers again, a silver doe prances up the stairs before stopping at the Headmaster.
"Midnight," a snide voice comes from the Doe's mouth before it fades into silvery motes and a look of grim acceptance crosses Albus' face before he takes out his wand and creates a silver Phoenix.
"To Severus Snape, objection a is no longer on grounds, I am working with Huntswoman to find it, seek the scars, and detain him it is either an impersonator or he's being controlled, proceed with extreme caution," The Headmaster says before with another flick of his wand he said the Phoenix off and turns back to Artemis.
"Lady Artemis, can you find where Harry is? The surrounding area, landmarks, anything?" He asks her, and Artemis frowns.
"It's a new moon so most of my sight is blinded and Hedwig would take too long in flight, but I will try to find anything I can see through," Artemis says before closing her eyes and focusing on the direction of the prayer came from, trying to find anything, any animal that hunted, anything in her domain as she jumps from beast to beast trying to find her son.
Artemis hears the sounds of heavy feet falling and knows who they are before the Guard dog even speaks, "What's going on?" the Guard dog asks, his tone curious and worried, she hears Albus sigh before speaking before she finds something, a snake, it felt wrong somehow, twisted and filled with something evil but she ignores the feeling because she can see Harry bound to a large stone Thanatos.
"The enemy has struck and they have Harry," Albus says grimly, much to the shock of the Guard dog and Hunting hound, "Lady Artemis is trying to locate him as we speak, as soon as we have a possible location we are going to save him," he says, and Artemis doesn't need to imagine the rage and horror the Guard dog feels because she feels it too.
"Why can't you go rescue him yourself, right now!" the Guard dog asks sharply in a tone she would normally take offense to but disregard at the moment.
"Because she can't, Sirius, My Lady may be a god but there are still laws she must follow," Zoë explains, but Artemis can hear the impatience in her tone.
"This is horse-" The Guard dog begins to say, anger and rage filling his words, but Artemis cuts him off.
"I found him," she says, continuing to look around the graveyard for any more landmarks.
"Where?!" both Albus and the Guard dog ask together.
"A graveyard with a large statue of the grim reaper," she tells them, "There is a large manor house on top of a hill in disrepair and a small village in the distance it seems like it is settled in a small forest or right outside of one," she informs the group.
"Can you see a name on the headstone, the one with the Grim Reaper?" Albus asks, hope in his voice and Artemis can, she opens her eyes and looks at Dumbledore, and what she sees surprises her. No longer was the man's poster slightly sloped over, his eyes no longer held the twinkle and look of mischief, and his face no longer looked to be of a dotting grandfather. No, his back was straight, his eyes were like cold steel and his jaw was set, this was no longer the Headmaster of Hogwarts, this was Albus Dumbledore, the vanquisher of Grindelwald, the man who had fought through two wars and lead man and women into battle against the two of the most powerful dark wizards in the last four hundred years.
"Tom Riddle," Artemis tells him, and he nods grimly.
"I know where they are," Albus says before discarding his outer robe and tossing it to the side, "Lady Artemis, I hope you do not mind but we are short on time and I, on manpower, I ask you humbly for your assistance," he asks of her, but she already brought her fingers to her lips and let's out a sharp, single whistle. It echoes throughout the crowded stadium, and with it, it brings the hunt. No sooner as she dropped her hand than Atalanta appeared from around the corner, eyes sharp and narrowed with her bow already out, she is quickly followed by Sophie, Brittany, Daisy, and Cecilla, all of whom had either blades or hatchets drawn with curious looks on their faces.
Artemis doesn't waste time, "Harry is no longer in the maze, he has been taken by someone off of school grounds," She tells her hunters, some eyes widen in surprise, and one fills with protective rage as she growls like a lion.
"Again!?" Sophie asks, looking confused, "What is with him and getting kidnapped or being put in bullshit situations?" she asks, throwing her hands in the air as both Artemis and Sirius' heads snap to the Headmaster.
The older man sighs, "I really am trying my best here, but the boy has the oddest way of attracting trouble where ever he goes," Albus says in a voice near defeat.
Artemis also blames Eris and would be on the lookout for the blonde troublemaker.
Artemis reaches through space and pulls Sophie's rifle bag from where she had stashed it on school grounds before tossing it to her, she quickly starts to unpack it and slings the bandolier of bullets around her waist as Artemis speaks again, "Zoë, Atalanta, and Sophie, you three are going with Albus to where Harry is and everything that is not Albus or Harry is too die," she orders her hunters and each nod in return before Sirius speaks up.
"If you think I'm going to be sitting around why Harry is with that snake fuck, you're out of your fucking mind," Sirius snaps at Artemis, "Me and Lupin are coming with you Albus," he says turning to the Headmaster who nods, he had already expected it, Sirius turns back to Remus to ask if he was up to cause some trouble but smirks as he sees Remus had already discarded his tweed jacket and was rolling up the sleeves on his button up with his wand already out; Artemis just nods.
"Excellent, as for you three, I fear I do not know your names but I have a vital task, you must find a man by the name of Alastor Moody," The Headmaster informs the other three hunters as he reaches into his pocket, "he is a tall man with long blonde hair just starting to thin, he has one fake leg and one fake eye, but do not underestimate him," Albus says very clearly to the other three as he pulls out a red feather from his pocket, "I also believe he has been either replaced by someone else or being controlled by another, either way, I want him alive if you please, he should be patrolling the outside of the maze," he says, the girls look over to Artemis who nods at them before each turn and run back out into the stands.
The Headmaster points his wand at the feather before it consumes itself in fire, and as the last ember burns away a bright light shines out in a burst of flame, Fawkes the Phoenix appearance before he settles on Albus' shoulder.
"Time is of the essence, so let us be off, we need to make it past the ward line so I can make the portkey for our guests," Albus says before making his way down the stairs, her hunters, the Guard dog, and the Hunting hound close behind him.
"Albus," Artemis says, causing the Headmaster to stop and look back at her at the top of the steps, "Bring my son back to me alive, please," she asks, the desperation and fear deep in her voice.
Dumbledore nods once, "I will do my best, Lady Artemis, even if I must give my life to do so," he says, before he, and the rest of the group, turn around the bend and leave the stadium.
Delphini Riddle
Delphini was bored as she sat in the stands watching the dots crawling through the maze while she chewed her bubblegum, she was ready for this whole thing to be over to get back on the stupid boat and leave the castle of Hogwarts behind forever. She didn't see leaving as a good thing, far from it, leaving meant that the school year was ending and that meant she had to return to the cold ass manor house smack dab in the middle of the black woods with the noxious cunt herself, she would rather stay. If she stayed it would mean no more Rowle, no more Kakaroff, no more avia-, "No! Don't think about it!" Delphini snaps at herself before sighing.
If she stayed, she would be free from it all two years earlier than planned, if she stayed she would get a chance to steal that kiss from Pothead.
She sighs again as she eyes the silver dot running the maze like a rat, and she frowns, she really did want to steal that kiss from him, girlfriend or not. Delphini blows another bubble, hoping to get a thundercrack again to scare the hell out of everyone, but as soon as she goes to pop it, someone grabs her by the arm and pulls her roughly from her seat.
"Oi!" Delphini shouts as she tries to rip her arm out of whoever's grasp, "Watch the merchandise, ass-Kakaroff?" she says, turning to look at her Headmaster and "Mentor" but something was off about him as he begins to drag her forcefully to the nearest exit, his eyes were wide and wild, full of fear, his skin was pale and clammy and he looked to be sweating bullets, Looking as someone had walked over his grave, "What ghost did you see naked? And can you fucking stop?" she says, trying to yank her arm back and dig in her heels.
Kakaroff's grip is too strong, and as soon as she tries to stop but he just yanks her harder, "We are Leaving, Now!" he orders her.
"What the hell? Why?" Delphini asks, debating on going for her wand, "Where the fuck is Pothead when you need him!?" she thinks to herself.
It was then that Kakaroff stopped in a darkened stairway devoid of anyone else before letting go of Delphini and turning on her, pulling up the sleeve of his robe to show the burning blackened Dark Mark on his forearm, "Your father has returned, and it's time for you to pay your debt, Delphini," he spits at her, as Delphini goes pale and numb, too shocked to stop Kakaroff from dragging her off to a family reunion she wanted no part of.
Macha inghean Morrígan
She leans against the Iron gate of the school waiting, Badb and Anand should already be at the Graveyard waiting for her with Harry. The plan went off without a hitch and all that was left was to make sure Artemis' little helping hands didn't get in the way, and that is why she was waiting for them. Anand had told her where to wait to know which path they would take and how quickly they would make it.
This was her part to play, Badb got Harry to the graveyard, Anand is protecting him, and now she has to make sure no one was able to ruin it.
So, when the sound of footsteps on the gravel road breaks the quiet of the night, Macha smiles, "Right on time," she thinks to herself as she walks to the other side of the gate before turning to see a small group of people moving rapidly towards the main gates of Dún Scaith.
"Why the hell can't you just make a portkey inside the grounds, Albus!?" Macha hears Sirius Black ask.
"A portkey can only be made or arrive in the headmaster's office," the regent says, "Getting outside of the wards is faster than getting to my office with some many people," he answers quickly as Macha sees the group come down the short hill
"Show time," Macha thinks with a smile, "You will go no further!" Macha calls out and feels her order seep into the minds of all in the group, the lieutenant was the only one who doesn't stop immediately taking two more steps before freezing. No matter the domain empowering the Nymph, so long as she was on the isles, Macha could overrule all.
Wands are lit and shine onto her smirking face before the regent speaks, "And you must be Macha," he says, keeping his tone calm and even, but Macha could taste the rage boiling underneath it.
She grabs the hems of her dress and courtesies to the man, as the group aims their chosen weapons at her, "A pleasure to meet you, Regent," she says before standing back up, her red cloak billowing in the breeze, "But sadly, I am short on time and simply must get to my sisters before too long, so no time to chat," she says, her smirk never leaving her face.
"Release us, now!" Growls out the nymph as she struggles to take another step forward as the other two hunters take aim at Macha.
"Put your weapons down, and no, I will not," Macha says as her smile grows wider as the other two hunters slowly put their weapons down on the ground, struggling futilely to disobey her, "I just came to tell you all one thing, and that is No one on the grounds of Hogwarts is allowed to leave before Harry Potter returns!" Macha calls out, twisting the mortal wards to her orders, and the powerful wards that had kept all manner of dark things at bay become a cage for all those inside.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" and the rage of a goddess is heard echoing throughout the grounds.
"We win," Macha tells the group of horrified would-be saviors as she looks up and sees the silver streaks fly across the sky, falling towards her like stars crashing to the earth, Macha leaps back, letting the Mist of her mother's homeland take her as she laughs with childlike glee, "And before this night is over, our Queen and Mother will walk this world again!" Macha says, vanishing as the arrows of a goddess crash down around her, the innocent, child-like laughter echoing out over the grounds of Dún Scaith.
The Tower
A hedge maze thick with vines is shown running from the top of the card down to the halfway point, near the top sitting on a raised dais is a silver cup glowing like a star, and a young man reaching out to grab it as the shadows of others are seen running through the maze, but as the Maze reaches the halfway point…
And…
It all…
Comes…
Crashing…
Down…
