As Naruto began to wake he felt resistance, an all encompassing weight placed upon him. Immobilized with fear, he began to survey his surroundings, He wasn't home, he wasn't in the forest, the floor was hard and the air was heavy. The familiar metallic pipes surrounding him gave him a clue as to where he was.

At his stomach he could see a swirl of ink, his hands and legs bound by spiked chains holding him to a platform he couldn't escape from. As he regained his composure his senses improved; realizing he was not in fact on the ground but suspended on the platform. In front of him stood a figure, his captor and tormentor. With a crimson sheen of energy and hellish features, the monster approached him, hand raised. A golden chain ripped from its palm, and impaled him.

Pain, anguish, fear, all words to describe the sensation as the chains robbed him of his energy; stealing both his chakra and life force. He began to shrivel up as the torture continued. Begging, pleading, for it to stop. All of his cries for help lay muted by the deafening roar that would escape his throat.

Satisfied by its haul, the demon turned to leave. Its blood red hair swaying in retreat, "You can rest for now, I'll be back for more when I need it. Haha, you can count on it dattebane!" Its shrill voice portraying a feminin hint. As the figure left darkness surrounded Naruto as he thanked the gods he survived.

In a cold sweat Naruto jolted up startling his mother and sister. "Naruto, shh shh it's okay," she began as she held him close, patting his back and kissing his forehead she sat there comforting him until he was calm.

Once he could maintain his breathing told his mother what he could vaguely remember about his nightmare. A fiery demon, a roar of pain, his loss of energy and life, and the tourture he felt at the hands of his captor. Tsunade hugged the boy and said she would explain more once he showered so he could avoid getting sick.

After doing so, they sat at the table and enjoyed a light breakfast. "I think the nightmare was caused by last night's outburst. Your uncle Jiraiya and I had an argument over your safety, we both care about you a lot and got really passionate. While we usually control ourselves better we ended up releasing killing intent. KI, for short is a technique ninjas use to intimidate and influence others to either persuade or deter a fight. We got so caught up we ended up releasing it in our chakra, which you felt and terrified you. The nightmare you had relates well to the argument we had over your safety." This seemed to satisfy the youth as they enjoyed their breakfast in peace.

The day started in their usual way of a jog to and from Ueki, followed by their stretches, and work out regimen, only now they were objective based. Meaning now in order to complete the workout, a quota must be met, followed by training in the katas for the hummingbird style. His overall goal was to finish by noon so he could continue his educational training, and chakra control. If he failed to complete by noon, they would stop for lunch and he would start his lessons as usual but would need to complete the exercise after his lessons instead of having more free time.

On day one of this reform he managed to reach the third set of tasks before noon arrived, and to say he was exhausted was an oversimplification. Tsunade felt bad for her son as he had taken losing the challenge pretty hard, but she had to strengthen his resolve if he ever wanted to reach his goals. Instead of coddling him, she said, "Never apologize for failing, failure is the best motivator for the determined,". A lesson she learned from her Sensei, which inspired her team to rise and claim the name "The Legendary Three" and title of Sanin

"If you want to become the Hokage like your Father you need to be tough, even if you want to quit you need to remind yourself of this feeling. You should always hate losing but never hate yourself for losing, look for where you went wrong and adapt, in this case find where you were over exerting yourself and fix it. Got it?" He sniffled a bit but held the rest back, nodding he began waking to the house to get cleaned up for lunch, pensively reviewing his form and efficiency trying to overcome the wall placed before him.

After a lunch which felt like a gift from Kami, especially after that workout, Naruto began his lessons, and writing practices, after that they went outback to a spot near the lake. "So what change has been made to my chakra control training?" he asked. Tsunade smirked, "today will be a gauntlet of your exercises to see which you have mastered and which you need to work on, we'll be excluding water walking as you have the personal challenge we made for some jutsu, and will need to be done in your spare time."

(Flashback to the start of his chakra control training)

After the leaf fiasco Tsunade needed to research her grand-Uncle's files for information regarding his training and workarounds for established techniques, and to her surprise the idea was very simple. Instead of making a leave stick to your head, you need to start bigger, tasks that require a lot of chakra and little control and work your way backwards to more technical and precise techniques. Firstly he needed to push a moderately heavy rock without using his strength to do it. The idea is that by using more chakra, with less precision he will get used to using normal chakra instead of water natured chakra. Within days he was able to push a rock bigger than himself across the training field.

After that he had to dial it back and do the same in reverse, at first he struggled as it seemed to be a completely opposite of the previous task he mastered, however with a little help from his Mother he learned that to push an object with chakra you need to circulate it in your had a certain way that results in chakra being exerted from the body to the rock. And so doing the reverse of sticking the rock to his hand came with the same theory of circulating the chakra inwards causing a pull on the object in contact via residual chakra on said object. A few weeks of practice and he had sticking large dense objects to his body and being able to pull them mastered.

The next step seemed like a departure from the other lessons, as it shrunk in scale. Naruto was then tasked with the challenge of sticking a coin to his palm and keeping it attached until he was able to do it subconsciously. Once again this seemed to stump his very logical mindset, as sticking a smaller object to his body seemed easier than a large stone. The outcome remained constant with him either not being able to attach it to his body or it being pulled into his arm, bruising him temporarily, only to be healed by his Uzumaki genes or from his worried mother. What he took from this lesson is that he needed to limit where the chakra could emanate from and how much is safe to use at the moment.

Eventually he managed to stick the dense solids to him without wetting them after two months moved on to the "easiest" exercise that most people begin with the leaf on the forehead. What made this difficult for him is that as it is designed you pinpoint your chakra to a location and stick the leaf to your head for an hour without crushing the leaf. This allows people to generally see the difficulty they have maintaining proper restraint over long periods of time, but his super dense water natured chakra would add the same effect as if he were channeling his chakra into limitus paper.

At first it seemed as if he had hit the highest point of the learning curve and was about to relapse as water would continually waterfall off his brow. However one notable change was present: the current did not remove the leaf from his forehead. At his insistence they waited for him to cut the current and keep the leaf intact, and to their surprise after this declaration the rate of flow began to gradually decrease. By the end of day he finally stopped the exercise as he had spent hours trying to master the leaf exercise. After collapsing due to both physical and chakra exhaustion he rested for a whole day and had managed to limit the stream to a few cups a minute compared to the torrential pour he had at the start of the day. After a full day's rest he was back at it and managed to start the exercise where he left off previously at a slow rate of flow. After a few short hours he managed to limit the stream to droplets and decided to take a break to avoid exhausting himself. His progress had amazed his mother to no end.

"So, what's your secret little man?" His mother asked slyly, making sure to butter him up a bit. " What's going through your head as you tackle this problem, I know that if I had this problem I would have no Idea where to start." After sitting pensive for a minute he responded with an analogy. "When your water is flowing too much what do you do? You tighten the lever on the faucet to give you less water." Tsunade's only response was a blank face and a 'huh'

This prompted Naruto to delve into specifics saying how the analogy he used was built from the principles of each exercise. How to pull and push chakra worked like the spigots on a faucet, you turn it one way to make the water cold and the other way to make the water warm. In this case he circulated his chakra clockwise to push and counter clockwise to pull. That allowed him to focus on the leaf rather than the chakra, by practicing with the smaller denser objects he got a feel for using chakra in a general sense. Instead of putting it in the leaf and wetting it he practiced with a coin that resisted the chakra entering it and made him have to work the chakra around the object.

All of these precautions made the leaf stick to his forehead regardless of the flowing water. But by applying the analogy again limiting the amount of chakra he used and focusing the flow of it he managed to use less wild chakra and more controlled chakra. The difference in this case being the wild chakra has been affected by his high affinity for water chakra and would "pollute" the normal chakra, turning it to water chakra.

Even while teaching him these exercises Tsunade had never put this much thought into the individual steps. To her, a seasoned veteran, this all happened by intuition and was a matter of thinking, pull my chakra back and push it forward. But with conventional methods not suitable to his dense chakra he needed to learn from the core fundamentals and analyze how chakra functions, similar to early users of chakra thousands of years ago who's knowledge had become condensed and streamlined but also more simplistic in the modern era.

While Tsunade began to ponder the implications of such detailed chakra theory on practical applications Naruto began his second attempt of the day and to no one's surprise, the leaf had stuck to Naruto while being as dry as it started, Naruto could now mold pure chakra and control it. Following his achievement Shizune wanted him to take the day off and celebrate; however, this success lit a fire under Naruto, and he was darned if he wouldn't begin the next step in his training.

(Back in the present)

Naruto began his gauntlet by attaching a decently sized rock to his open palm and rocketed it off to show his first two exercises at once. After his showboating his mom threw a coin at him, which he caught with the back of his hand. Showing he could hold dense objects with no impact to him or the object. Following this he pulled a leaf and held it on his forehead with no signs of faltering or moisture. Then he began on the advanced stage of the leaf exercise, the leaf left the surface of his forehead but did not fall. Using his chakra he both repelled and attracted the leaf evenly making it float just above the surface of his skin. By intermittently circulating his chakra in small specific spots along the leaf he is able to float the object.

"Great, all the basics have been covered. Now for the intermediate section." She said as she pointed towards the forest. "Meet me at the clearing we usually train at." She said and shushined away leaving her son anxious to learn that technique. " Oh it is on mom!" He yelled as he ran into the vast forest to their usual trading area.

"Woah!?" He exclaimed as he noticed the distinct difference in the training grounds. Most notably the largest tree in the clearing had its bark peeled off in certain areas and had training dummies on branches. " This is where your training gets upgraded." Began Tsunade, "You will no longer be running up the tree but walking slowly and carefully. If you step on an area without tree bark you will be forced to start again. After a certain interval I will ask you to hit a target while in whatever orientation you are in. You cannot resume your climb to the top without hitting the nearest target. Understood?" With a nod of understanding Naruto began his approach as he normally did, with a running start; only to overstep and hit a barren spot.

With an audible facepalm Tsunade's voice rang out "Start again! Remember to have caution." Sheepishly he rubbed his head and began closer to the base of the tree. Before when doing this exercise he was asked to reach a height on the tree. In order to maximize the height reached he would take a running start and use his forward, and then upward momentum to reach higher points.

This was good for getting kids to understand the motions needed to get their feet to stay on and release from the tree, but yielded no benefit to the actual applications of being able to walk up a vertical surface. Ninjas need to stealthily move around a building for assassinations or sneaking past security measures not charge in a straight line and hoping to grab something at the top.

Rethinking his approach Naruto placed his foot on the tree and kept an attractive circulation to the tree, reinforced his leg and placed his other foot while reinforcing his back so he could stand "upright" while on the tree. He took a few steps in place to make sure he had the right process for being able to walk on the tree. When all of a sudden. "First target!" His mother bellowed and he looked for the closest target. Once he found his prey he flung his kunai to the target and bullseye. However the action of hitting the target dead on made him lose focus and fall on his sides.

"You're going to have to commit the actions to muscle memory if you're gonna make it to the top of the tree sweetie." Tsunade said sweetly as she held back her laughter. "Alright this is going to be a little bit more difficult than I initially thought. I need to focus on my footing, the tree walking, where the targets are, and maintaining my form as I advance. All without super-focusing on one task." He looked for her affirmation.

Getting a nod of approval along with a smirk of pride he continued his attempts up the tree for about an hour. In that time he managed to reach about halfway up while still falling occasionally. While Naruto had no worries of running low on chakra for a while he did have to complete his physical training from earlier. After finishing his pull-ups and katas he was glad his mother stopped him earlier as the speed required to complete the first form of the hummingbird style in quick succession was sapping him of his physical energy.

After an especially rewarding dinner Naruto was given his personal time, where he was able to rest, train some more, or work on personal projects. Today he would work on the latter. Heading back to the training grounds, he went past the spartan tree and towards the large lake. Looking at the reflective surface in the evening light he sat at the edge of the water and began to meditate.

While in the tranquil environment he began to expand his senses outward. He could feel everything in a large area of the forest. The sensations felt so real that he could almost see the environment around him down to the tiniest blade of grass. 'I don't think I'll ever be used to seeing the world like this.' He thought to himself as he began to pull his senses inward to just the lake and himself. Getting up he began to walk towards the body of water, 'tonight's perfect, the breeze is subtle and the water is still. I'm going to master it.' He hyped himself up as he hovered his foot above the surface of the water. He began to envision his chakra flowing through his body and started to focus on his feet. With his foot millimeters above the water he began circulating it inward and the surface of the water rose to meet his foot. The lake still undisturbed he proceeded to place more pressure down on the water and shift his weight. Shifting where he sent his repulsive chakra to maintain his balance and keep his footing on the near frictionless surface he began to balance on one foot keeping the water still and himself loose to account for any forces acting on him, after confirming his footing was secure he placed his second foot on the surface and repeated the procedure now with both feet on the surface. Taking a step forward he held still making sure to keep his focus once he felt more secure he began to walk slowly.

Upon opening his eyes he was astounded to see that he was indeed standing on the surface of the water, granted he was still in the shallows, his feet did not sink below the surface of the water. Trusting in his ability to walk on water he began to experiment with his applications, by jogging. Jogging required more dynamic movement and therefore required more dynamic chakra control. While he did notice the top of his feet were wet from splashing below the surface, he did manage to jog on the surface of the water. A few attempts later and he was able to run along the surface of the water and stop as if there were traction.

Following this he found himself in the center of the lake under him was the deepest part of the body of water. He concluded that falling in cold water on a cold night was good enough motivation to not fail his most daring experiment. Looking down at his reflection he restated his operations aloud "OK.. your gonna still the water as you squat down and jump up disconnecting yourself from the surface and as you descend, you need to re-establish your balance on the surface." After giving himself a pep talk he reddied himself and leaped using his repulsion circulations and found himself high in the air. The surface below him was calm as it had been when he started.

With the surface quickly returning to his feet he began to restart his system to stand on the water. As he landed his feet returned to the surface and did not drop a centimeter below it. However upon returning to the surface his downward force caused the surface to push down and a cavity to form. Water quickly rushing to fill the void gave the youth cause to make a mad dash towards the shore. As the water rushed in it threatened to slam into him. In anticipation of this Naruto stopped, closed his eyes, and began his water manipulation on the incoming wave.

Upon opening his eyes the wave seemingly frozen in time stood in front of him. Moving his arms in a sweeping fashion the water moved to his right and settled in the lake. After the Adrenalin of what just happened wore off he noticed his eyesight beginning to blur and darken. Realizing he must have used up his chakra to pull off that stunt he slowly made his way back to the house drenched, not from water but from sweat.

(The next day)

Since today was a "rest" day that meant that the whole Senju family would travel to Ueki and set up shop at the clinic to assist in healing, as opposed to Shizune or Tsunade going alone. Since their first pilgrimage to Ueki, the town had improved rapidly. By restoring the clinic and healing the injured more people were able to work on restoration and recovery. After the clinic was up to Tsunade's minimal standard they began to focus on preventative measures for heavy rains and flooding. Dam overflow canals were built in the event that water were to surge from the river and a runoff was built to connect to the bay.

All in all the town was thriving and all thanks to the effort of the Senju clan. The smiles they would receive from passing townsfolk would really brighten their day. As they approached the clinic Tsunade began to explain to Naruto what his tasks were for the day. " OK, today you will focus on cleaning and wrapping minor wounds using the antibiotics you made. If a wound looks like its too big to be closed with just a wrap, send it Shizune for stitches, who will do so then heal them or send them my way if it will require complex healing." She looked for understanding. Getting a nod and salute from her family they set up in the clinic letting the medical staff know of their roles for the day.

With a very, fortunate, slow day Naruto managed to do most of the work with simple cleaning and wraps. With the occasional person who had symptoms of cold or other illnesses going to Shizune and Tsunade.

Impressed by his performance Tsunade decided to test her son to see if he was ready for more advanced tasks. The challenge wasn't representative of the medical field, just competition to encourage him to succeed and push forwards. "Hey, here's a fun idea, how about a race, since we left most of the elixirs and medicine with the village. If Naruto can beat one of us home. I'll start his advanced training sooner. Sounds good?" Both Shizune and Naruto smirked at each other and bolted.

Tsunade expecting this took off like a bullet to over take them by a wide margin. As expected both Shizune and Tsunade held back a lot as to not leave Naruto in the dust running at medium to high Chunin speeds just to show they were faster than his high Genin speeds. Undeterred Naruto formed an idea.

"Shortcut!" He screamed and took a hard left towards the stream that ran from the lake by their house. Shaken by his outburst both Senju women stopped in their tracks to see him dead sprinting to the water. Expecting him to stop they waited to see what he was going for. However, he seemed to barrel forward with no signs of stopping. And true to the sentiment he continued on the stream. The surface was calm and undisturbed as if he weren't there. Realizing he was serious they took off near full speed to catch up to their blonde knucklehead.

With the training ground in sight, said knucklehead turned his head to see how far back his family was. He saw his two family members approaching faster than he had ever seen them move. Wanting to beat both of them he decided to do something drastic.

All of a sudden Naruto was no longer on the Lake's surface, once again surprising his family as to them he simply left their line of sight in milliseconds. After a moment of hesitation they heard another scream from Naruto. "Cannnnon Baaaaaalll!" They looked up at the source of the yell and saw that Naruto had propelled himself maybe upwards of 6 meters only to rocket himself down to the surface and not sink below the water but create a cavity of water big enough to to pull both ninja in with it, while he took off like a madman for the forest.

Being the seasoned shinobi they were Tsunade and Shizune were by no means in danger, but that did not detract from the amazement they felt from seeing such a spectacular application of not breaking the surface tension of the water as Naruto landed but allowing it to break as he removed himself and his chakra from the point of impact.

The blow back from the blast sent them back a bit to regain their stability. By the time they were back on his tracks the house was in sight, Naruto was nowhere in sight. Upon entering the house they saw an eager blonde sitting cross legged waiting for them.

"So when were you going to tell me you finished your water walking exercises?" Tsunade looked at Naruto with a mix of pride and annoyance at the display she just witnessed. "Well I finished last night, and accidentally did that jump as well, I wanted to practice more before I came to you." He said sheepishly as she ruffled his hair.

"Well congratulations you win, tomorrow after your routine we will be beginning your ninjutsu training, so you need to make sure you complete your physical training on time if you want enough time to train and rest. Got it?" Tsunade said sternly reinforcing her dedication to the safety of his training.

Feeling restless he asked his mother if they could continue their training on tree walking until dinner. Shizune spoke up first saying, "How about I take him Tsunade-Sama, I heard it's quite funny seeing our little Naruto celebrate making progress only to slip." She finished with a snicker that made Naruto cringe at recalling his errors.

That evening Shizune watched as Naruto made his newest attempt to climb the obstacle course. He made his way up the tree and followed the path presented, cautiously weaving his way along the exposed bar with a kunai at the ready. Mentally he marked the locations of the dummies nearest to him. Spreading his senses out he could visualize the target and use his vision to watch the path he walked. Maintaining his tree walking used to trouble him but after testing his abilities and practice he was able to maintain his chakra control subconsciously.

"Fi-!" before Shizune could finish alerting Naruto a kunai had embedded itself on the target just shy of the bullseye showing Naruto's increasing proficiency in hitting a target he couldn't see. While also showing his ability to compartmentalize tasks and do them in tandem.

Naruto made his way up the tree and managed to finish the course on his fifth attempt. Only failing to do so before due to him loosing focus every time he reached a new mile stone on the tree.

Returning to the house, the tired Naruto was greeted by what he would consider a banquet. A table spread with his special blend of food, a rice bowl topped with fried tempura covered in mayo and steamed vegetables and a wok of tonkotsu ramen.

"For surpassing my expectations and surprising us with your water-walking skill I decided to treat you for today." An excited blur of blonde hair rushed Tsunade and hugged her. A smile firmly set on her face she hugged her pride and joy back and set the table for the family to enjoy the meal.

"Ohh since we're celebrating Naruto and his progress, I feel I should let you know your little Naruto also finished the obstacle course, even if he tripped up a couple of times." Shizune explained keeping her last remark more of a whisper for only her to hear and laugh at.

The Senju family spent the evening eating and discussing what changes needed to be made to Naruto's training as he made stellar progress through the beginner levels.

(The next day)

Tsunade had woken up earlier than usual to begin prepping for her son's training in medical and Nature transformation. One major benefit to Naruto's Perfect water affinity is that water is the best affinity to have for a medic as it allows for better understanding of the transformation of chakra to Medical chakra. Since like water Medical chakra needs to be able to fit any form and have the ability to shape itself as needed. The major hurdle she faced happened to come in the form of Nature transformation.

Typically when learning Nature transformation a ninja will first learn their affinity, one of the five main elements (Fire-Wind-Lightning-Earth-Water. The five main Nature types counter one another in a cyclical manner Fire counters Wind, Wind counters Lightning, Lightning counters Earth, Earth counters Water, and Water counters Fire), after mastering their affinity it is best to learn the Nature transformation of the element that counters the element that counters your element. To simplify Tsunade, a ninja with an Earth affinity, mastered her affinity and then began to learn Wind release as it has advantage over Lightning release which has advantage over her Earth release.

As a ninja progresses in rank typically the number of Nature releases known increases, Chunin often know One and Jonin are required to have mastered Two, and ninjas who are ranked as B or higher in the bingo books are often proficient in many abilities, Ninjas who rise to Kage level are estimated to be masters in many ninja arts and tactics. And in the last 80 years only One ninja has been known to be able to master all Five elements, her Sensei Hiruzen Sarutobi, known as The God of Shinobi and, more to his liking, The Professor.

While Tsunade is a ninja of Kage caliber she has not been able to Master the elements to the degree of her Sensei, she has mastered Three and can use Four. More specifically she can use all elements except for Lightning. Having mastered Earth, Wind, and Water, she can also use Fire to a lesser extent, mostly for medical purposes.

To make matters worse her apprentice only knows Three and none of which are lightning, her affinity of Fire meant she only learned Water and Wind. Sighing she knew her options were slim, and needed to chose between Perv 1 and Perv 2, since she was still mad with Jiraiya she would need to ask Kakashi to help with his training when he's mastered the Jutsu portion of his water release. Deciding this to be the best course of action she began to write a letter.

To ensure she got Kakashi for long enough she planned to pay for an extended mission and signed it with the intent to pay upon completion, closing it up and sealing it she sent a messenger slug to summon itself in the Sarutobi Household and deliver it to her sensei.

Deciding that would be enough for now she began going through the library of scrolls her Uncle had in the compound, starting at the beginner end of the water release section. She pulled out a variety of jutsu she felt would compliment Naruto's fighting style. So far this is what she came up with based around his humming bird and Senju styles.

Water Release: Surface Tension Trap ( The user douses the field with water creating a decent sized puddle around the target. Manipulating the water's properties the user has the puddle adhere to the target and the floor using the surface tension and viscosity to trap the target. [Great for assassination techniques to follow up.])

Water release: Water wall (The user channels their chakra into a source of water, channeling it evenly they manipulate the water upwards causing a torrent of water to form. The thicker the wall the more force required to keep it sustained and the more force is removed from oncoming attacks.)

Water release: Water shuriken (The user manipulates the shape of their chakra into the shape of a shuriken, they then surround the chakra in water and form a water shuriken. [The finer the chakra control the sharper the shuriken and more dense the water.])

Water release: A Drop in the Ocean (The user channels water chakra throughout their body and uses it to silence their movements. It softens footsteps and allows for better movement in aqueous environments. [Masters of this technique can form a water construct above the skin which improves all functionality of the technique])

Water release: Tearing Torrent ( The user Creates a vortex of water in their palm creating a grinding or slashing affect based on the manipulation of the water)

Smiling Tsunade put these aside and opened a scroll, for how vast the library is the information on healing is outdated to say the least. She would spend the better part of the morning transcribing her knowledge to scroll for her son to be able to review independently.

Naruto began his training following the usual regimen, but with an improvement, to help keep pace he brought out a timer. He would record the amount of time it took for him to complete a task and mark it down on a chart. This way, he would be able to compete against himself and see his improvement over time. Proud of his work he began his conditioning and worked on his katas.

Since he first started practicing his katas he felt he had made major improvements, due to the speed component of the humming bird style the second half of the katas were restricted. As it stood he could quickly move into the beginning stances and counter oncoming blows with his rapid movements and jittery form making a direct hit nearly impossible to connect as the form required the user to change the distance between the opponent and themselves drastically and rapidly in order to throw off their depth perception and confuse them.

So far he only managed to confuse himself. Undeterred he continued the katas until his mother called him in to begin the chakra portion of his training. This portion covered 5 topics and branched to allow for a fuller understanding of the branches of the shinobi arts. The core tenets of which are his understanding of chakra and its application, his Fuinjutsu lessons, medical training, nature and shape changes, and meditation to boost his connection his and others chakra.

Today the lessons would revolve around the nature and shape changes of chakra, and how to use it to create medical chakra. Having converted the living room into a miniature lecture hall, Tsunade began the theory behind the changes of nature and form of chakra.

"Chakra can be shaped and molded through various means, most commonly and simply we use hand signs to aid in the mounding of chakra. However there are limits to just doing the hand signs, you will not be able to perform a jutsu of higher caliber without higher control of your chakra." Tsunade explained as she modeled the individual hand signs as well as depicted them on the board. "Fire chakra is produced by compressing and expanding your chakra in your core raising the temperature till ignition," she highlighted which signs were commonly used with the nature.

"Wind is formed by the sharpening and flow of your chakra, Lightning by finding and separating the charge of your chakra, Earth by rooting your chakra in your core, hardening and refining it, and finally Water, as you know, is the most versatile, by churning your chakra and creating 'waves' that crash with high force or flow calmly like a stream that cuts mountain over time. As a bonus Water is the most similar to Medical chakra, where you must shape and release your chakra in a neutral form that can be accepted by the recipient." She demonstrated by concentrating regular chakra to her fists. A visible blue aura akin to a flame shrouding it, she then closed her eyes as the chakra changed color and became a pale green light more akin to a lamp light.

"As it stands chakra is unique to everyone, like blood, people with similar types can provide a transfusion however medical chakra is shaped and molded to fit with a universal type that can be used without harming the individual getting healed. To practice we start with a fish to get a hang of manipulating our chakra to the universal medical chakra. After you have a knack for that then we work on the shaping of our jutsu to preform different medical tasks without the need of medical equipment." Tsunade was elated to see him taking notes while also writing theories on the topic before she finished the explanation. Seeing his interest in her field of expertise only strengthened her bond with him. He truly was her son.

(Author's note:) So, its been a while. This virus has really put a halt to my, and so many people's lives, I thought the lack of things to do would allow me to write more, but just spending time with family has felt so fulfilling and necessary. Thanks to you all who have been patient with me, I should be back to a "regular" schedule. As for this chapter its fully original to the source and covers a lot of training on Naruto's part. While I do feel like this chapter is bloated with his training, I hope that the character moments meld well to help define their relationships and his prodigious progress. I hope the Nightmare wasn't too on the nose. I just want to acknowledge the Kyubii's soul as factor to Naruto's psyche.
