Lois felt that urge to cry and to flee out of this darn hospital. To steal a car and race back to Smallville to organize everything to call back her son on her own.

Instead, she was trapped here. In this bed. Barely able to move. And with this police-detective asking unpleasant questions. But that was so clear…

Timmy Tanner's parents didn't spread the news that Clark Kent is Superman! But they had to give the voice message to the police. The detective played it for Lois on his phone and she had to cry. And the police investigated the knife, Jonathan used to prepare dinner and to kidnap Timmy.

"The lab found fingerprints from four different people on that knife. From your son, from Superman, from an unknown person, probably Timothy Tanner, and from you! You have an explanation for that?" Detective Parker asked.

Lois knew the truth. Because the knife was from their kitchen. She bought the knife herself, four years ago at IKEA in Metropolis. The police had Superman's fingerprints for years. He was a public superhero and involved in so many crimes, that it was no surprise that the authorities were able to get his fingerprints. That's why Clark is always careful not to leave fingerprints as Clark. Jonathan's fingerprints were in the system because of his arrest when he got caught with the X-K. And hers… well she stopped counting her arrests years ago…

"I don't know!"

"You lie to me, Miss Lane…"

Lois realized that she was in trouble…

Lana realized that she was in trouble, too but tried to not to take it personal when suddenly that man came into her office, claiming to be from the FBI…

"Excuse me, can't you knock before?" Lana asked before her friend Emily Phan, who worked in the office since she got elected, came into the office, too.

"I am sorry! I tried to stop him…" Emily wailed.

"It's okay, Emily! What is this meaning, Sir?"

"Miss Lang, do you know Clark Kent?"

"I do, he is an old friend! Why do you ask?"

"I would like to continue this interrogation at our office!"

"Am I under arrest?" Lana asked shocked. "Why we can't discuss this here?"

The FBI-agent looked over to Emily who was still with them in the office. Latter understood immediately and smiled before she left the office and closed the door after her. Leaving them both alone.

"Mayor Lang, are you aware of the fact that your old friend Clark Kent is Superman?"

Hearing that sentence let Lana froze in shock…

John-Henry meanwhile was flying with his injured and unconscious passenger over the Gulf of Alaska…

Timmy didn't wear a suit like him, had no powers and was injured. When Clark would fly with a passenger, he would have no trouble, since his powers would protect every passenger. But John-Henry didn't. And when Timmy lost consciousness after five minutes in the air, John-Henry knew that he had no time to get him to Metropolis. According to Hedy, the next bigger hospital was in Ketchikan, Alaska…

"Dad, where are you now?" Natalie asked.

"Around two hundred miles East of Ketchikan! I have to get this boy to the emergency-room. He…" John-Henry said, before suddenly an alarm sound up.

"John, the energy level of your suit is dangerously low. I request a quick landing!" Hedy, the A.I. told.

"What? How is this possible?"

"The invasive A.I. of Miss Lara, is using a lot of energy!" Hedy explained.

"John-Henry-Irons, is there a problem?" Lara's voice asked.

"Miss Lara, you are emptying my energy resources." John-Henry yelled when he realized that he will not reach the mainland. "Natalie… I need help here!"

"I am on the way!" Natalie yelled while she stormed out of the farmhouse and flew with her suit to help her father.

In all her hurry to get to her father to prevent him from crashing with her favorite actor (back on their Earth) into the Ocean, Natalie didn't notice the two police cars, that were approaching the Kent-Farm.

In the fortress, Lara was forced to increase the intensity of the red solar lights, to weak her son and her grandson even more to prevent them from attacking each other in their delusion. Hearing things that made it evident that she knew less about her son than she imagined.

Chrissy drove in her car on the parking lot of the hospital in Salina to get to Lois, who was still interrogated.

To make things worse, the detective received constantly new updates from his colleagues in Metropolis. And one of them was this viral video of Lois watching and siding with Gaines and the cranky mother on election night when they humiliated him in front of everyone. And the comments the video received were all hard to bear, too. Calling her a bad mother, Smallville a shitty place, and some comments even revealed that Gaines knew about the X-K all the time. If these comments were right, she had to check as soon as she is out here.

"Miss Lane, do you abuse your son?" Detective Parker asked directly, shocking Lois even more.

"No! I would never do that!"

"Does your husband abuse him?"

"No! You don't know him, he loves his boys!"

"So why he sends this voicemail to his friend and flees? And why do you look like someone beat you up?"

Lois start to cry…

"You don't understand!"

"Who are you covering for, Miss Lane? Your husband?"

"No!"

"Your other son?"

"No!"

"Miss Lane, I want to help you! I can help you and your son! For that you have to tell me what is going on!"

"Jonathan… he… he had trouble adapting to the live in Smallville! After we left Metropolis!"

The detective looked on her with an expression that was so clear for Lois. It said: Why the heck did you move from the city of tomorrow to Kansas' worst place? He didn't speak it out loudly, but Lois could see it in his face, that he wanted. Moving from Metropolis to Smallville was an act of abuse itself!

"We… we ignored his problems! We simply ignored that he was suffering! We…" more tears flow down Lois face. "…we… well… mainly I didn't see the stress he had. My husband completely focused on our other son. I completely focused on my work! And when Jonathan needed us more than anything else we let him down!"

"Miss Lane… did your son Jonathan beat you up that terribly?"

Lois sobbed loudly, even if she tried to suppress it. For the detective it was a confession.

"Where is he now?"

"I don't know! But this was not his fault! Believe me!" Lois cried.

"Miss Lane, in many cases of domestic violence, the victim claims that it is not…"

"NO! In this case I tell you the truth! My son… he… he got brainwashed! Poisoned!"

"That you have to explain to me!"

"I can't!"

"Why?"

"Because… I… awww…" Lois was simply overwhelmed.

She couldn't tell this police-detective, that her half-kryptonian son was poisoned with a synthetic alien mineral, manufactured by Lex Luthor, who wants to take over the world and kill her, and her husband who is also Superman.

"We can protect you from whoever you are afraid of!"

"No! Nobody can protect us from Luthor!"

"Luthor?"

Before the detective could ask more, suddenly the door opened, and Chrissy stormed into the room.

"Oh, thanks god… I found you, Lois!" Chrissy said relieved and rushed to her friend and partner to hug her. "How are you?"

"It could be better!" Lois said. She was grateful to see her.

"Don't worry, we will find him!"

"And you are?" the detective asked.

"Chrissy Beppo! I work with Miss Lane…"

While the two women continued to try to brush off the police-detective another 'FBI-agent' arrived at the information desk in the lobby.

"Mitchell, FBI! I am looking for Lois Lane…"

In Smallville…

Lana was too shocked to talk any further. She had to sit down and think about this reveal. Lois and Clark always told her to not to talk to anyone about their secret. No matter from which agency or whatever. She should remain silent and call one of them to not go through this alone. But how? Lois is in hospital and Clark trapped somewhere in the pacific. John-Henry and Natalie were busy, too.

"Miss Lang, do you really think the authorities are so stupid that we don't know anything about Superman or his family?" the supposed agent asked.

"This… is… a lot…" Lana stuttered. "…where… do you know… that I know?"

"We have our sources! Miss Lang, we know that you know, your daughter and your ex-husband! And considering how sensitive this topic is, I hope you understand why I don't want to discuss this with you here?"

"I do!" Lana said. "But… am I in trouble?"

"No! But I would ask you to come with me!"

In this moment, Sarah knocked on the door.

"Ehm…" Lana was unsure if she should let her in.

"Your daughter? She knows about the Kents, too? Let her in!" the FBI-agent said.

Lana winked to show her daughter to come in. Sarah was surprised about the presence of that foreigner.

"Hello! Ehm… mom, is bad right now?"

"Mitchell, FBI!" the man introduced himself. "Sarah Cortez?"

"Yes!" Sarah confirmed.

"You are aware of the fact that Clark Kent is Superman, too?"

Sarah didn't say anything. She only became pale and looked on the man with big eyes.

"I see… take a seat… we have some questions…"

John-Henry was flying with the still unconscious Timmy about 100 feet over the Gulf of Alaska and could already see the coastline of Dall Island, Alaska. It was still a longer distance to the hospital in Ketchikan, but according to Hedy's calculations, he will not make it.

"DAD… I am here!" Natalie yelled through the communicator and grabbed her father by his shoulders to carry him, and to transfer some of her energy into his suit, to prevent him from running out.

"Not too late, Nat-Bug!"

"Oh my god… That is really Offspring! Well Timothy Tanner, but he was Offspring in the Plastic-Man-TV-Show!" Natalie said astonished. "Why did Jon never tell me?"

"Maybe because he or this boy didn't know that! Wrong timing Nat!" John-Henry wailed when he realized that several systems of his suit were shutting down to safe more energy.

"Right!" Natalie said and together they flew faster again to get Timmy to the hospital.

They had no clue that the sheriff of Smallville was with several deputies searching the destroyed Kent-Farm. Or that two 'fake' FBI-agents were out there…

With a loud groan, Timmy regained consciousness…

"Aww… where am I?"

"Everything will be okay, Offspring!" Natalie said. "Agh… I mean Timothy! Sorry!"

"Offspring?" Timmy asked confused and opened his eyes to see that he was still hold by Steele and that a second 'Steele' was holding the bigger one. "Oh, you are Natalie, right?"

"What? Where do you…"

"Long story, Nat!" John-Henry interfered. "Timmy, we get you to Ketchikan!"

"Ketchikan? But that is in Alaska?!" Timmy yelled.

"Yes, they have the biggest hospital in the region. There you are safe!"

"NO! Get me to Metropolis! I want to help to find Jon!" Timmy complained.

"You have to get into the hospital, who knows what Jon or Clark did with you!" John-Henry protested, and they went on their way.

"Jon said he must do what he must do! Whatever it is, it sounded like he was on the way to a certain place! It didn't sound like someone who just blindly runs around and vandalizes homes." Timmy explained. "I was thinking and maybe there could be some sense in Miss Lane's theory!"

John-Henry and Natalie became pensive…

"If Jonathan really went to Luthor, he is already dead!" John-Henry realized while he began the approach on Ketchikan…

They had no idea that Luthor began to like Jon…

In Salina, Lois and Chrissy still tried to appease that police-detective…

"You tell me that your son was brainwashed by Lex Luthor?" Detective Parker asked.

"Yes!" Lois nodded.

"And your husband took your other son to a safe house to prevent him from getting brainwashed, too?"

"Yes!"

"Where is this safe house?"

"Secret!"

"And Superman helps you to evacuate all your friends and your son's friends to keep them safe?"

"Yes!" Lois was slowly getting impatient. "Detective, listen I know my story sounds weird. But I have to find my son now! He is in danger! He is a danger for others! And if Lex Luthor finds him, he will kill him!"

"Everyone wants to find your son! What makes you so sure that Lex Luthor is responsible for that?" Detective Parker asked. "Yes, it is common knowledge that you once brought him to prison and that Luthor is not as innocent as he claims! But I know you hide something from me! Something that gives all this a sense, Miss Lane!"

Lois looked at the detective. She couldn't tell him that Jonathan was the son of Superman!

The detective's phone start to ring again and he received a call with new information.

"Please, excuse me!" he said and left the room to talk to his colleagues.

He was barely out when Lois already starts to lift from the bed.

"Chrissy, get me out of here!"

"What? Lois, not that again. It was the same when you denied going to your chemo! Don't rush… we all want to help you finding Jonathan!"

"Chrissy, Lex Luthor is by far worse than every other villain we had to deal with. Worse than Morgan Edge, Ally Allson and Bruno Mannheim together!" Lois cried and looked around to see if she can find any of her belongings.

"Did the doctors at least checked you? Lois you just had cancer! Your body is weaker than before and you…" Chrissy tried but Lois remained stubborn.

"After we found Jonathan and kept sure that he is fine, I come back here. I promise…" Lois said before there was suddenly a loud knock on the door.

"Miss Lane…" a male voice said when the door was opened and a man in a suit came in and presented a badge. "…Mitchell, FBI! We have some questions about your son!"

"You do?" Lois said upset.

"Miss Lane… your son is with us!" the man said.

"He is?!" Lois exclaimed.

"Yes! And he told us a very… uncommon story about your family!"

"Oh my gosh…" Lois starts to wail. "… you… you know…"

"Yes!"

"How much!"

"Enough to ask you to come with us!" the man said.

"How many know?"

"Expect me, only a handful of others! But if we don't find a way to let him stop talking, soon the whole world will know. And I can imagine you don't want this happen!"

"Awww… Oh my god!" Lois cried. "Jonathan… is he safe?"

"For now…"

"Okay…" Lois said put on her street clothes again. "… I come with you! Chrissy…"

"May I join you? I am a friend!" Chrissy asked.

"Sure…" the supposed agent smiled.

"Wait, what about the detective?" Lois asked.

"Don't worry about him!"

Detective Parker was laying in the storage room next door. His hands tied up behind his back and a blood smeared metal pan with Lois' fingerprints lying next to his unconscious body…

Lois sat down in the wheelchair, that was standing in her room to let herself get brought to the FBI-agent's van in the parking garage. Chrissy was following closely…

"I can't believe that he went straight to the FBI headquarter in Metropolis?" Lois cried.

"We were also very surprised!" the supposed agent said. "Don't worry Miss Lane, you are going to see your son very soon again!"

In Smallville, Lana and Sarah got to hear the same wrong story in Lana's office…

"Oh my gosh… Is he okay?" Sarah asked.

"He is! But you see why we would like to have this interrogation at a… safer place!"

"Yes! Understand! Oh, my gosh… wonder what Clark will say that so many people know his secret now?" Lana said and lift.

"Miss Lang, Miss Cortez, would you please come with me!" the man said.

"Of course! We help wherever we can!" Lana said, right before her ex-husband Kyle knocked at her door.

"Hello… Sorry, is it a bad moment?"

"Kyle Cushing? According to my information you are aware of the Kent's super-secret, too?"

"WHAT?" Kyle exclaimed shocked.

"FBI! Mr. Cushing, I would ask you to come with us, too!" the supposed agent said.

Meanwhile in the fortress, Jonathan's father and his brother recovered from the first round of hallucinations. Both crying while thinking about the irony of the hallucinations…

Jordan realized that in some ways, he turned into Jimmy Cutter. Arrogant, selfish, superior… and adding superpowers to it and all his family's preferential treatment, made him a bad person. And Clark didn't get his parents out of his head now.

If Jonathan Sr. and Martha would be with them, they would have scolded him much earlier. Remembering him to look after Jonathan. The day he took Jordan to his grandfather for the first time, both would have scolded Clark and forced him to take Jonathan, too. Both would have strictly prohibited Jordan to join the football team. When Jordan broke Jonathan's arm they would have prohibited Jordan to ever use his powers again. They would have openly told Clark and Lois that Jonathan feels left out and useless compared to his brother.

The day of the barn-scene, he knew they would have kicked him out! They would have sold the farm and move with Jonathan back to Metropolis on their own. To give Jonathan a chance to develop trouble-free. To give Jonathan a chance to prove himself and show how great he is. That he has potential, too! That he is as much worth as his superpowered brother.

Clark knew that he would have terrible nightmares about this. He knew he brought shame over the name Kent! A shame that was nothing compared to the single incident with Jonathan's X-K abuse and that would have never happened, if he had been the father Jonathan needed. Moving to Smallville was not one hundred percent a mistake. The mistake was that Clark didn't see how much Jonathan was struggling and that Smallville and its people had changed rapidly. That Smallville was not the great place it used to be when he grew up. That the people were not as selfless and welcoming as before. All in all, the move was a total fail!

"Will Jon have that, too?" Jordan asked worried and full of tears.

"The hallucinations were a side-effect from the treatment with the red sunlight!" Lara explained. "Jonathan needs to be exposed to them as long as you two."

"I doubt that Luthor will wait for that until he kills him!" Clark cried, thinking about Jonathan again and how much he failed him as a father. "Mother, can you contact John-Henry again…"

John-Henry and Natalie landed in the emergency entry of the Ketchikan Medical Center and placed the protesting but hurt Timmy on a stretcher. All seen by the stunned clinic-staff that rushed closer to take care of the boy…

"Be careful, he lost a lot of blood!" Steele told the doctors. "And call his parents in Metropolis. They will be worried!"

"WAIT!" Timmy protested when the doctors wanted to drive him in, and he looked at John-Henry and Natalie. "Please find him! And get him home safe!"

"We will!" John-Henry said, and he and Natalie flew away. Now at their usual speed.

Timmy looked after them while he was brought inside into for a proper treatment.

"Gosh, I know this boy… he was in the news!" a nurse said.

A doctor appeared in front of Timmy and start to examine him. "What's your name, young man?"

"Timothy Tanner!" Timmy answered. "Could you please call my parents in Metropolis for me…"

"The whole country is looking for you!" another nurse said while the doors closed.

John-Henry and Natalie meanwhile flew at high-speed back to Metropolis…

"As soon as we are back in Metropolis, we start to scan the area around the Luthorcorp-tower! Let's see if we can find traces of…" John-Henry said before the alarm sound up again. "…WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?"

"Energy-level dangerously low!" Hedy said. "Miss Lara is using too much…"

Suddenly Natalie had the same problem.

"How much did she use?" Natalie yelled before her systems failed too.

Suddenly father and daughter were on freefall over the wide forests of British Columbia…

In Metropolis, Otis Milburn and Eve Teschmacher stood outside of the suite in the corridor. Otis had a shopping bag with stuff with him and Miss Teschmacher was holding her tablet.

"He is in there so long?" she said.

"I wonder what they are doing?"

Suddenly the hatch next to the door opened.

"Otis, give in the stuff you bought!" Lex said through the speaker.

Otis obeyed and put the bag with the things Luthor asked him to buy into the open hatch before it closed again, so Lex could take it from inside.

"Is it just me or is the boss happier than usual?"

"MISS TESCHMACHER!" Lex suddenly yelled through the speakers.

"You think so…" Eve said a bit upset before pressing the button below the microphone to talk to her boss. "Yes, Lex?"

"Publish the next file… time to make the people a bit more upset… what about our other guests?"

"The Mitchells are on the way back. With accompaniment!"

In Smallville, Lana, Sarah and Kyle followed the supposed FBI-agent to a big black van that was parking behind the town-hall…

On the way out, Lana wanted to tell Emily that she was leaving. But latter was not at her desk!

"I should leave a note at least!" Lana said.

"Please, hurry Ma'am!" Mitchell said, slowly getting impatient.

He looked at his watch… this was taking much longer than expected…

In Salina, Lois and Chrissy arrived at a big black van, too. Lois, still affected by medication, her concussion, and her eagerness to find Jonathan was too much crying to realize that something was wrong. It was Chrissy who suddenly realized that the big black van, was the same model that the inverse-society was using…

"Wait a sec, my alarm bells are ringing!" Chrissy said.

Before any of them could react, both women got a cloth with chloroform pressed on their mouths and they fainted away…

In Smallville…

Lana, Kyle and Sarah reached the van. Suddenly they all had this odd feeling.

"Is it just me or is something not right here?" Sarah asked.

Suddenly there was a loud klick from a gun. They turned around and saw the man pointing with a handgun on them…

"Hands up!" the supposed agent said. Instinctively parent-daughter-trio raised their hands. "Don't try to make anything stupid! There is nobody out there to help you!"

Suddenly the slide door of the van opened, and they all were showed inside. And they were shocked to see that Emily Phan was there, too. Her hands tied up behind her back and a white towel was wrapped over her mouth. Another man, obviously the man's accomplice stood behind her.

"Why you took her? She is not on the list!" the supposed agent asked angrily.

"She was snooping around here!" the man defended herself.

"Awww… We have enough space!" the supposed agent said before he pushed Sarah inside. "GET IN THERE!"

"DON'T DARE TO TOUCH MY DAUGHTER!" Kyle yelled upset before he got a cloth with chloroform into the face, too…

Unaware of the fact that all their family's friends and his mother were kidnapped right now, Jonathan was still sitting at that table, forced to watch Lex having scrambled eggs with coffee while the man was talking about his thousands of employees, who all liked to work here because Luthorcorp was, despite his imprisonment and his bad image, one of the best companies to work for, according to the countless online-portals…

Jonathan was still full of hate and fury for this bald man, who had this sheepish smile on his face and placed a shopping bag on the table.

"Here are some fresh clothes for you!" Lex said. "And some magazines to skip time! Or maybe you should rest a bit! I want you to film an interview in a couple of hours!"

"You darn bald head, want to use me as a tool!"

"I don't want to use you! I need you!" Lex said with a careful smile. "You want a better life, away from the crappy people of Smallville and your parents! You can't reach that on your own! Not with Superman and Superboy supporting Lois Lane with it! Lay down in the bed!"

The hypnotized Jonathan obeyed. Lex looked into the bag to see what Otis bought. He found a football-magazine, some underwear, and even a comic-book…

"Oh… look what we have here!" Lex said, presenting Jonathan the comic.

"Great… Stories about people with powers! As if my life is not fucked up enough…" Jonathan moaned. "…there are so many great earthlings out there. Why I had to be born as the son of an alien from a planet whose people believe that they are better than everyone else?"

"Because fate punished us for being smart, Jonathan!" Lex said. "Punishing us with fathers, who seem okay to the outside, but are not what we deserved! Or wouldn't you replace your father immediately if you could choose!"

"Yes!"

"See… And who would it be?" Lex asked curious.

"Tom Brady!" it blurted out of Jonathan. "Or Travis Kelce!"

"Nice!" Lex said. He had no clue who these guys were. He guessed football-players! "And if it is a person with superpowers, you would be forced to choose?"

"Beast Boy, Elongated Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Alcide Herveaux… the list is long!" Jonathan moaned angrily.

"Who is Alcide Herveaux?"

"The handsome werewolf from True Blood!" Jonathan moaned. "He might be not a human, too but at least he is an earthling! I watched the show just to see him shifting! He was so hot!"

"Oh, you are so bi!" Lex said before he made some adjustments on his tablet again. "So… I am going to leave you alone for a couple of hours now! I come and get you for the interview later! I want you to sleep now and rest! You must look tired for the camera, but we will use make-up. And now sleep! And while you fall asleep, you imagine that you are the son of… let's say that Alcide-werewolf. His only-child and he teach you everything he can do! Unconditionally!"

Forced to obey to this order, Jonathan start to smile while he imagined himself to be the son of Alcide Herveaux and closed his eyes while he starts dreaming how he gets taught to turn into a wolf. Lex used the chance to leave the room to meet Miss Teschmacher and Otis outside.

Both were surprised to see Lex smiling…

"Miss Teschmacher, did you send the second file as ordered?"

"Yes, Lex! In a couple of minutes, it will be aired in all mayor news-shows, I think!" Eve said.

"Good!" Lex said, sending her the file with his recorded conversation with Jonathan. "I want you to write a script for our interview now! Add some violence, some drama and sex into it! Whatever those idiots out there need to hear to get their picture of Superman to be shattered. He he he…"

Lex had this scary smile on his face again…

"Oh, Mr. Kent… don't think that you are safe out there on your private island!" Lex laughed. "Expected arrival of Miss Lane and our other guests, Otis?"

"In one to two hours!" Otis answered. "Everything is running better than expected…"

With Superman and Superboy out of action, John-Henry and Natalie trapped in Canada and everyone else in custody… nobody could stop Lex anymore…
