Hi ya'll! I'm feeling better and back to writing. The email notifications are acting crazy so I hope you find this update!

Note: I realize this chapter may feel out of order... just roll with it please LOL. I appreciate my faithful commenters. Love ya'll.

Uriah raises his eyebrow when he steps into his apartment and sees a note on the floor. He'd spent the last three days in Amity working on testing weapons and working on faction relations issues with the fence guards. He and Tris had a good conversation about their divergence after being assigned to work on the task force, and she encouraged him to embrace the part of his mind that was Amity. In the months since he'd been named as the Faction Relations Representative to Amity, he'd enjoyed his time out there. He was still Dauntless, but the fun and happiness, part of Amity he loved. He'd also come to respect their speaker, Johanna. She had a calming spirit and was grateful to Uriah for his collaborative approach to dealing with issues and for bringing that to the usual tension that existed between the Dauntless fence guards and Amity.

He throws his duffle bag down near the couch and bends down to pick up the envelope to read the note inside.

"Meet me on the rooftop where the initiates jump at 730. Christina"

Uriah furrows his eyebrows and looks at his watch. It was just after six, so he decided to take a shower and freshen up. He'd briefly checked in with Harrison when he stopped in the office to let him know he was back and was briefed on Max and Stacy being missing and Zeke and Tris were out looking for them. Harrison had instructed him to take the night off because it looked like things were about to get ugly. He knew he probably wasn't going to have much free time, not that he had much now. He chooses a nicer outfit, a more form fitting black tshirt and sweater with his fathers chain and a form fitting pair of black khakis. He hoped maybe he could convince Christina to have dinner with him. Just as friends of course.

"Hey, Bro ...I heard what's going on did you find Uncle Max?" Uriah asks Zeke when he sees him walking down the hall as he closes the door to his apartment.

Uriah feels his stomach drop when Zeke shakes his head.

"Damn…do you think?" His voice is a bit shaky, not liking the look on his brother's face.

"I don't know… Tris and I took a trip to the factionless section. We found their cars, shot up. No sign of them. We can't find Aunt Natalie either. Harrison told me and Tris to get some sleep and we'd meet first thing in the morning. You need to do the same. I'm gonna go check in on Ma."

Uriah nods and pulls his brother in for a quick hug.

"Tell Ma I got something to handle, and I'll check in on her later"

"Something to handle? or Someone to handle..." Zeke asks squinting his eyes now noticing his brother was wearing cologne and dressed in one of his nicer outfits.

"Get out of here" Uriah grins and playfully shoves Zeke who laughs as he takes off down the hall.

He adjusts his black t-shirt, slightly nervous wondering if he was overdressed now as he used his key card to access the door to the rooftop. He had no idea why Christina would want him to meet her here, but he hoped it would keep his mind off his missing aunt and uncle. His eyes go as wide as saucers when he opens the door to the rooftop and sees Christina sitting on a blanket pulling food out of a small basket. She looks up and smiles when she hears the door open.

"What's all this?" Uriah asks, walking slowly toward her.

Christina bites her lip and stands up. Her heart was beating so fast with excitement. He looked incredibly handsome. She adjusted her top, hoping she looked okay since he had basically gone through her entire closet looking for the right outfit.

"You look amazing" He blurts out as he took in her long legs in the leggings she was wearing paired with a tight black off the shoulder top that showed off the rose tattoo on her right shoulder blade and accentuated her full breasts. Uriah lets his eyes wander seeing every curve he so badly wanted to explore.

"Zeke told me all about his first date up here with Tori. I thought I would use it as inspiration"

Uriah furrows his eyebrows when stops in front of her. "Is this a date?" He asks with His heart beating wildly, knowing that this was what he'd been dreaming of since he saw her blood over the coals on Choosing Day.

Christina sighs and looks up at him but doesn't say anything yet as she gathers her thoughts.

"What's going on with you and Will?"

"I told him I needed space so I can figure out things …..because I have feelings for you…" She answers in almost a whisper, feeling the energy between them and he pulls her close.

Uriah doesn't waste any more time. He cups her face and kisses her. It's a sweet kiss but still full of passion, which causes her to moan. Her legs feel wobbly and she has to grab onto him to steady herself. Even though this wasn't their first kiss, it still felt special. They kiss like that for a few minutes, both of them savoring it. She grins wildly when he pulls away loving the way he is smiling from ear to ear.

"So, what does you needing space look like?" Uriah asks, grinning like an idiot as he sits down on the blanket and holds his hand out for Christina to join him.

Even though she wanted to keep kissing him, she knew they needed to really talk. That was one of the reasons she chose the rooftop, so they could talk. She figured they might end up in bed together instead of talking if they were in her apartment.

"I don't know really, I know I want to spend time with you, talk, get to know you better. I don't want to make any promises but…."

"You don't want to feel like you can't explore things with both of us…" He finishes for her.

She nods and lets out a sigh of relief that he understood her reasoning.

"I want to be able to spend time with you and get to know you but not feel like I'm cheating…."

Christina looks down at the blanket and picks at the fabric a bit. She had no idea why she was so confused about who she wanted. Something about Uriah excited her in a way that Will didn't.

"And does this spending time together and getting to know each other include extracurricular activities…." Uriah asks wiggling his eyebrows which causes Christina to laugh. She loved how he could easily make her laugh.

He hadn't really been dating since initiation. After Christina and Will started to see each other, he'd hooked up with a girl named Kelly a few times who was a fence guard. He was upfront that he wasn't looking for a serious commitment and she was cool with that. He found out that she started hooking up with another fence guard the month before that put an end to their short affair. He wanted nothing more to be intimate with Christina, but he wanted her to be clear about the line between him and Will.

"I think I should keep it to as few extracurricular activities as possible" She chuckles. As much as she wanted to explore that with Uriah, she thought that sex would just cloud her judgment. She also hadn't figured out if she would do this with Will too. He'd been a good sport about her asking for space, but she needed to figure out some boundaries.

Uriah smiles, he would take whatever time he could with her, and in the end, he hopes that she will see what he sees, they were supposed to be together.

"I can handle that. Now what's in this basket? I'm starving…There better be chocolate cake in this basket…"

Christina laughs again and shakes her head as she opens the basket and starts pulling out the remainder of the food she had gotten as takeout from the dining hall. She and Uriah had eaten enough meals together for her to know that he loved Dauntless cake, with most meals he would end up eating a slice of cake at the beginning and end of his meal.

"Of course, there's chocolate cake...Do you think I know nothing about you?" She teases.

They chat comfortably while they eat. Christina could tell he was worried about Max and Tris' mom even though he was trying to keep things light and upbeat. He was thankful that he could be open and honest about everything with her, unlike Zeke and Tris who were struggling with not being able to be open about things with their significant others.

"I'm sure they are fine, and we'll know something soon" She reassures him, putting down her now empty container of cake.

Uriah nods, trying to will himself to believe it. It had been 10 years since his father died, he knew what dealing with death felt like, but he couldn't even comprehend what it would be like to lose Max or his mother.

"I heard you kicked ass interrogating those two factionless dudes while I was gone," he tells her licking his fork and wanting to change the subject.

Christina grins and sits up straighter, launching into the story and all the information she pulled out of the two men about Erudite's testing. Uriah smiles at her excitement. He loved how animated when she talked, she used her hands.

"I'm really proud of you, I hate I missed seeing you in action"

Christina beams at his praise. She was proud of herself too. They keep talking until it's too cold to stay on the roof. They pack up the picnic and Uriah takes a moment to walk to the edge of the building and look out. He says a silent prayer that Max and his Aunt Natalie are okay. He smiles when he feels Christina wrap her arms around his waist in a comforting hug. She rests her head against his back.

"I take it heights wasn't one of your fears," Christina says after a moment, moving to his side to look over the city.

Uriah smiles at her comment. "I love heights. Everything feels so small up high. It reminds me that my problems arent always that big." Christina pulls him in for another soft kiss. So many people thought Uriah and Zeke were just fun loving jokesters. She loved that she got to see other parts of him. She liked the serious side of him too.

"Thanks for this. I don't want to end our evening, but I need to go see my mom. I know she's worried sick about Aunt Natalie and Uncle Max" He tells her when he pulls away and plays with a lock of her curly hair.

"I understand. I have a feeling things are about to get crazy…I don't know when we'll have time to do this again"

Uriah turns around so they face each other and gives her a soft kiss on her forehead. "We'll make time, I promise"

Christina was his peace and now that she had given him this piece of her, admitting that part of her wanted him, he never wanted to let her go.

Tori has no idea how she and Zeke went from planning a prank on Uriah to them making out. She stopped by on a whim to see if he was home, mostly because she was worried because she hadn't seen him all day and all Christina said was, he was on a special assignment when she'd stopped by the control room looking for him.

He looked worried and worn out when he opened the door, apologizing since he'd just gotten there only a few minutes before. Since he'd been so great at taking care of her, she decided this was the moment to take care of him. She instructed him to take a shower while she ran to the dining hall to grab them dinner.

Zeke smiled to himself as he toweled off, he liked Tori bossing him around. He welcomed the distraction. His mind was all over the place. He'd gone to talk to his mother, and she was trying to put on a brave face, but she was worried too, he could tell.

They had eaten a quiet dinner in his apartment. She could tell he wanted to tell her more about what was going on.

"I know something is going on and you aren't at liberty to freely tell me"

Zeke sighed, he wanted to be completely honest with her, and tell her everything but he was a soldier who knew his orders. Amar had reassured him a few days ago that Tori was tough, and she could take being in the dark a little longer.

"It's not that I don't want you to tell you everything..."

She reached out and grabbed his hand, squeezing it as she smiled.

"I understand. I know what it's like when you have to keep some things quiet for the greater good. Tell me what else is going on. Anything. What's up with Four? I haven't seen him in a while either"

He told her all about his suspicions that his best friend had a secret love interest. To make him laugh she got him to tell her about pranks he and Uriah pulled, and it sparked an idea that they should set up a prank on Uriah. The laughter was just what Zeke needed. Despite his worry and stress the evening with Tori was perfect and she felt it too. He was funny and charming. Too charming actually. That's how they ended up in this position. Making out with Tori straddling his lap while his hands roamed her body and all the plans of pranking Uriah forgotten.

After multiple make-out sessions and two steamy post-run showers, Zeke wasn't complaining. He was enjoying taking his time with Tori, letting her take the lead. He loved the smell of her shampoo, lavender, and mint and the taste of her favorite lip gloss. He wanted to take things further, and right now, he was feeling as if Tori did too with the way she was grinding against him as they kissed, letting out a small moan when Zeke moved his lips to her neck.

"We should probably stop" Tori sighs as she pulls back, and Zeke's hands skim her breasts. "If we keep going, I'm going to fuck you right here on this couch"

Zeke holds her gaze. "Is that what you want?" he asks. "To feel me inside you?"

Tori bites her lip and nods slowly. God why was he so damn sexy. The way he was looking at her and his direct question had her core fluttering. As much as she was trying to fight it, he was breaking down her walls. Not only had he been thoughtful and sweet, but he was also charismatic. She'd always thought he was handsome, from the first day he sat down in her tattoo chair when he was fifteen. He'd been a jokester, but she quickly saw that there was more to him than the typical Dauntless bravado.

She throws caution to the wind and kisses Zeke more aggressively now. She pulls back and tugs at his shirt. Zeke raises his arms above his head as Tori pulls it over. They continue, tossing articles of clothing until Tori stops and sits back when she's down to only her bra and panties. Zeke takes a hand to slowly caress her face.

"We don't have to..." He reassures her.

"Zeke, I want you, all of you. Not just sex, I want you, mind, body, and soul but I'm scared…" Tori admits quietly. "I'm scared I'm falling for you, and I'm scared this is too fast and I'm scared because I'm older than you..."

Zeke brings his hand to her face again pushing her long curly black hair out of the way. For her to say the one word Dauntless didn't say, he knew how sincere she was. She bites her lip embarrassed by her outpouring of feelings.

"I don't want to hurt you, Tori, I just want to love you, that's all. You try so hard to not be seen and fade into the background, but I see you. You can trust me, I promise."

Tori looks at him and sees sincerity in his eyes. She believed him and she hoped letting him in wasn't going to be her undoing. She leans in and kisses him again, putting all her feelings into the kiss.

"Make love to me Zeke" she whispers against his lips.

He holds her tight and stands up, while Tori wraps her body around him tightly as he carries them to his bedroom. Everything else in the world could wait until the morning.

"I gave her some pain serum; it should keep her knocked out for a good while," Hana sighs as she exits Max's bedroom and closes the door gently.

Max was in the kitchen taking down a glass of water. He looked beat up and worn down. She can see the worry etched across his face. He winces in pain when he goes to reach into the cabinet for another glass.

"Max, let me take a look at your shoulder" Hana urges when she finally pries herself away from a still-sleeping Natalie.

"It's just banged up" Max sighs.

"You're exhausted. "You need to sleep too" Hana reasons looking at her best friend.

"I know but…whew… Hana, we got ambushed. Stacy followed me…We tried to fight them off but Stacy…."

Stacy was not just a fellow leader; she was his friend even though they hadn't been lovers for a long time. They had worked closely together since she was in the leadership training program and became a leader 5 years ago but had worked alongside him through the leadership training program for 5 years before that. She was bright and smart, and he'd always thought maybe she'd be the one to take his place when the time came.

Hana gasps as she sees the hurt in Max's eyes realizing what he was saying.

"I'm so sorry Max... Damn..." She and Stacy had bashed heads more than once when Stacy and Max were together. Stacy felt threatened by Hana no matter how often Max reassured her he and Hana were just friends. When they stopped seeing each other, Hana and Stacy never warmed to each other but no matter how much she didn't care for Stacy, she never wished her dead. This is also a realization for her, they really were going to war and there was no turning back now.

"Nat was given this..." Max tells her as he pulls out the thumb drive and passes it to her.

Hana takes a look at it and raises an eyebrow.

"It apparently contains all the information about the serum, how it was developed, test results..."

"Oh my God, are you serious" Hana takes the drive from him quickly. If she could see this, maybe she could create an antidote. "How did Nat get this?" She asks turning it over it in her hands.

"One of the Erudite researchers working with Jeanine gave it to her, she wants to try and stop her..."

"Is she still in Erudite? Can we possibly get her out?" Hana wondered. Even with her training and looking at everything on the drive, it would be easier if there was someone who worked on the development and testing to help them.

Max thinks about it for a second, he and Nat hadn't had much time to think it through or talk about it while on the run. Hana's idea made sense, but now that Natalie was in Dauntless, he would have to figure out how to contact her to ensure she could escape safely.

"I haven't gotten that far yet, but it's on the list of things to do. I need to see Tris, she must be worried, and she needs to see Nat, I know the boys must be worried too, I have to tell the other leaders about Stacy, the task force needs to ramp up things, and I need to talk to Jack Kang at Candor, Erudite is going to…" He mumbles wiping his face with his hand as he starts to rattle off all the things he needs to do.

"It's okay Max, Let's take a step back. Harrison had everything under control, I spoke to all the kids, and they are all resting now too." Hana had been worried but when Zeke and Tris made it back with no sign of Natalie and Max she had begun to worry too. She and Uriah had a long talk earlier that evening. She encouraged all of them to keep the faith that Natalie and Max were okay. "It will be daylight in a few hours... rest now and we will deal with everything first thing in the morning"

"How about you go take a shower, I'll sit with Nat until you're done. Then you can get some sleep. The best way to be prepared for what's coming is to take care of yourself. I'll crash in one of the spare bedrooms in case Nat wakes up"

Max nods, knowing it was no use in arguing with her. Hana always had a way of laying out the most logical option in front of him to make him see it was the better option to take. He knows she's right and He could deal with everything after a few hours of sleep.
