Lynn's head was spinning as she listened to the briefing that she received from Max, Harrison, Chavis, Victoria, and Tobias the crew she supervised after they unloaded the supplies.

She eyed Tobias, standing there looking more Dauntless than she'd ever seen him. She'd been watching him ever since Tris revealed she was divergent. Part of her wondered if the reason the two of them were so close was that he was too.

She shakes the thoughts out of her mind and focuses on the information they are being told. She was going to be home for a week now but with all the news had just received, that could change at a moment's notice. Even though things were still rocky between them, she still wanted to see Tris and spend some time cuddling up with her, maybe it would help get them back on track. Now that she understood what all the secret leadership meetings she would get pulled off to she was bound to be stressed.

Lynn walked through the back areas of the kitchen to hand off her shipping info to Shauna so she could update the inventory sheet. As soon as Lynn sees her sister, Shauna grabs her and quickly pulls her into her office in the kitchen and shuts the door behind them.

"Woah what's wrong?" Lynn says seeing Shauna looking frantic.

"So no one has told you about Erudite and Factionless…"

"Yeah, I just got out of a briefing for those of us that just got back from the fence...It is wild..." Lynn tells her sister and furrows her eyebrows.

"It's more than that Lynn..." Shauna explains. She launches into the entire story of the called meeting and their mother yelling out against the divergent and Shauna having to plead with her not to walk out. That night after the meeting had been one argument after the other between Shelly and Shauna.

"Shit…this is worse than I thought…" Lynn huffs leaning back against the door. She'd grown up hearing her mother spout off all kinds of theories about divergence growing up. Had it been playing in her mind after reading all those Erudite articles…most definitely. But leave Dauntless? That was a big decision.

"You have to help me talk some sense into her. Hector is only 12... She's not thinking about him at all... " Shauna pleads biting her lip.

Lynn nodded as she processed the information, she needed to think about this too. Were divergents the problem? Tris was the only one she knew and she hoped she could trust her.

"Hey…" Lynn greets Tris, kissing her before pulling her into a hug.

"How was your trip in?" She asks, unsure of what to say.

She and Tobias had spent the entire night together, unable to pry themselves away from each other. He said that he understood why she needed some space to sort out her feelings now and that she needed to talk to Lynn and decide if she wanted to be honest about them sleeping together.

"Fine but I got hit with a briefing from the leaders as soon as we got the train unloaded…"

Tris bit her lip unsure of how Lynn would react since all of their arguments stemmed from her being uncomfortable with Tris keeping things from her.

"I see why you've been so busy unable to talk about things going on…this is going to change everything"

Tris relaxes a little grateful at this change in tone from Lynn. She was still nervous because Lynn knew was divergent.

"I missed you' Lynn tells her honestly.

"I missed you too" Despite all of the tension between them, Tris had come to care for Lynn and liked it when they could just relax and be together.

"Things are about to get crazy, I was hoping we could spend some time together," Lynn suggests.

"Tonight?" Tris asks. That would give her time to think more about what to do.

"Tonight" Lynn agrees.

Christina knocks on the door to the lab in the infirmary where Will is looking through a microscope.

"Hey…" She says as she leans against the door.

"Hey, I brought you some dinner, didn't see you come down tonight," Christina says offering the takeout bag she was holding.

"Umm, thanks… you can set it on the counter. I want to finish this analysis of the serum Hana and I are working on"

Will and Hana had been working day and night to try and figure out a way to create an antidote to Jeanine's super-solider serum. They didn't have all of the equipment Erudite had but both of them felt like they were making progress after going through all of the information on the flash drive Natalie supplied.

"Well I brought dinner for two I thought we could eat together, catch up…"

Will sighs and stands up really looking at Christina this time. She was so effortlessly beautiful.

"Chris, what is this? What are we doing?"

"I brought you dinner so we can hang out, we've been so busy…" She reiterates.

"That's not what I mean Chris, so you just want to hang out. That's it."

"I told you I wanted to spend time with you too Will. I just needed space to figure out my feelings"

Will takes a breath before speaking, feeling angry about how naive she was being to the situation they were in. It wasn't Uriah's fault, he genuinely liked him and thought he was a good guy but they were in a difficult situation. All through initiation he saw how Uriah lit up when Christina walked into a room. Will thought once they started dating it would be okay but something was always holding Christina back from committing to him fully. He appreciated her finally coming out and saying that she had feelings for Uriah but someone was going to get hurt and for Will, logically it was him. He didn't see Christina's feelings changing about Uriah. He'd watched them the other day, it was something about her smile that seemed more radiant when they looked at each other like they were the only two people in the room.

"So is this what you plan to do bounce back and forth between me and Uriah? Do we alternate weeks? Can I get another day this week or do you have to check with him first?"

Christina bites her lip. He had a point. She hadn't thought this through but she didn't know how else to handle the situation.

"I'm sorry…I didn't want to hurt you...but I miss you...You're still my friend..." It was the truth. She was comfortable with Will. She didn't want to lose him as a friend.

Will softens at this. "I know but I can't just be friends with you Chris. I can't be in love with you and act like I don't know you don't feel the same way about me"

Christina feels her eyes well up with tears. Love was serious, but as much as she cared about Will, she didn't love him. It was one of the things that she realized kept pushing her toward Uriah.

"I'm sorry. I'll let you get back to work" She tells him softly while quickly wiping a tear from her eye.

"Wait, Chris don't leave like this." He quickly stepped over and gently grabbed her arm as she went to walk away.

"I can't change how I feel Will." She shrugs feeling a little defeated.

"And I understand that but I can't just pretend that I'm okay with this when I'm not. I need to get over you. You and I both know you're going to choose Uriah in the end, Chris…"

Christina sighs. She had no idea what to do but right now she knew she had to let Will go. For him to be able to move on.

He pulls her into a hug which she returns.

"I'll still see you around and maybe one day we can work on being friends…"

She nods and looks up at him. "Just not right now"

"Yeah…and Uriah's a good guy. He deserves a chance to really make it work with you if that's what you want" Will encourages.

"You're one of the good ones too Will." She leans up and kisses him on the cheek.

He gives her hand one final squeeze before they part ways. Their romance may have been short-lived lived but he had hope that one day he would find someone to make him feel as alive as he did with her.

Tori wipes down her supplies after the last tattoo she finished. It was early but slow. Everyone was moving into preparing for their deployment and battle plan stations and there wasn't much interest in getting tattoos at the moment. She had received her assignment the day before, working in the infirmary and she suspected that Zeke had something to do with that. She hadn't seen him much in the past few days and she was missing him like crazy. She'd told Bud to take off for the evening since it was so slow after dinner.

As if reading her mind, the door to the tattoo parlor chimed, and in walked Zeke with his signature charming smile on his face.

"There's my girl," Zeke says as he wraps his arms around her after he crosses the room.

"I've missed you.." She tells him honestly. She tried to fight her feelings for him in the beginning and now after they made love almost a week ago, she felt like she couldn't make it without him. She knew major things were going on that he couldn't talk about but after the member meeting, there was a different vibe in Dauntless. People confided in Tori, people talked as they passed the time away in her tattoo chair. There were varying thoughts, people ready to storm Erduite and factionless now, others who were concerned about the divergent but the majority were still in favor of what Max proposed. She'd been shocked at the revelation that Amar was also in on the special task force. She had questions she wanted to ask about George but she hadn't had time to speak with Amar either. Even though she wanted to ask more questions, right now she just wanted to enjoy the time they had together.

"I know, it's been crazy, I'm sorry I haven't been able to get away before now" He'd missed her so much. He didn't want her to think that he was ghosting her once they had finally slept together but he'd been in the surveillance room almost nonstop.

She sighs and nods her head against his chest, enjoying the moment and breathing in his scent.

"I understand. There's a war coming, and you work in leadership"

"That makes everything better though" He whispers in her ear, thankful for how understanding she was.

"Can you stay long?" She asks with a hopeful tone that causes him to chuckle.

"I have a couple of hours at least. I needed a break"

Zeke is relieved that he can open up more about what he's working on now since it was public knowledge. A couple comes in wanting to get each other's names tattooed. Zeke watches carefully as Tori takes her time to suggest something different to symbolize their love. He's impressed with her negotiation skills and it doesn't take Tori long to do the matching tattoos. The couple are all over each other, kissing sloppily and groping each other any chance they get. Tori had to tell them several times to cut it out if they didn't want their tattoos to look like a 5-year-old was the artist.

"That's the third set today…" She says with chuckles as takes off her gloves. "Something about an impending war has people wanting to declare their love and get matching tattoos.

"I kind of get it…I think if we weren't here, they would have had sex right here on the table" Zeke comments shaking his head.

Tori giggles and bites her lip as she cleans up her workspace.

"How many times have you had sex here?" Zeke asks curiously as he leans against the wall.

He was completely enchanted by her. The way she zoned in when she was drawing, the way she tossed her hair over her shoulder as she worked the tattoo needle that evening. The way she pouted her lips and her slightly slanted eyes narrowed when she was trying to see if she liked the tattoo when she finished.

Tori smirks and leans back in her chair.

"One" Tori admits playfully.

Jason had been her only serious relationship in Dauntless. Sure, there had been hookups but nothing that serious ever again. They'd started off hot and heavy and burned out when she found out he was sleeping with someone else when he was off-guarding the fence.

"Hummmm One…" Zeke nods. He walks to the door, flips the open sign to closed, and locks the door.

Excitement runs through her as Zeke grabs her hand and pulls her up. He guides her to lean back on the chair where her clients sat.

"What are you doing?" Tori asks, biting her lip as he saunterers back toward her.

"I think you need another memory here," He tells her as he slides her pants down and she leans back on the tattoo chair.

Zeke kisses up her ankle slowly. He stops to pay attention to the small tattoo of a knife there.

"Did he do this?" Zeke asks, his lips still hovering as he reaches her knee and Tori squirms a bit.

"No…" Tori breathes the anticipation building.

"Good" Zeke whispers as he traces his tongue up her thigh and then lightly bites, loving the gasps he was evoking from Tori.

"Please stop teasing me…" Tori finally begs.

Tori arches her back when Zeke finally stops his teasing. His pace was slow and deliberate, he wanted to make sure she remembered this and felt all the pleasure he could give her. Every time she moaned out his name, it was like a drug injected into his veins.

"More" She begs, and Zeke starts a pattern of dipping his tongue inside her and then circling.

Zeke moans while he feasts on her, and it sends Tori over the edge. She lets out a high-pitched scream as Zeke holds her down while leaving soft kisses on her clit causing her to shudder.

When he finally lets her up, she pulls him to her, grabbing him by the shirt and yanking him and causing him to chuckle at her aggressiveness. Their kiss is molten hot, and Tori reaches for his belt buckle, as their tongues explore.

Just then a bang came on the door of the tattoo parlor.

"We're closed" Zeke yells forcefully.

"This place isn't supposed to close until Midnight" The voice yells back banging on the door again.

"We're fucking closed for the night, Get Lost," Tori yells angrily toward the door as she pulls Zeke's shirt over his head.

Zeke grins as he grabs a condom from his pocket and rolls it on, then pulls Tori to the edge of the tattoo chair, quickly entering her.

Tori groans as she clutches Zeke's shoulders, and he grips her thighs.

"What are you doing to me?" Tori pants, overwhelmed by the feelings running through her as she looks Zeke in the eyes. She'd never felt this strong of a connection with anyone before.

"The same thing you're doing to me" He replies without hesitation and then claims her lips again never losing his steady space.

He reaches down and hooks her legs over his arms on each side so he can increase his speed.

"Fuck" Tori gasps as feels herself teeter on the edge.

He leans her back causing him to go deeper, hitting that spot inside her and that's when she loses it again. Calling his name as she held his face in her hands, Zeke topples over the edge too letting out a cry of his own. He shudders, releasing himself in the condom and then letting Tori's legs down while he catches his breath and Tori grins as her breaths match his. After Zeke goes to deal with the condom, and they both get dressed, Zeke wraps his arms around her waist and kisses her neck, making her giggle.

"You win, I'll never think about anyone else in here ever again"

"Mission accomplished" He gives her a big sloppy kiss on the cheek and then a slap on the ass.

"What time is it?" Natalie groans when she hears Max flip on the lamp beside the bed and open the bedside drawer to put his radio and gun in.

"Late… I didn't mean to wake you up. Go back to sleep," He whispers and leans over a kisses her on the forehead.

Natalie yawns and rubs her eyes as she scoots up.

"I tried to wait up, but I fell asleep" She says more awake now. She didn't know if it was the food, the warmth of the building, or being with Max in Dauntless again but she'd slept so hard the past week. The first few days she tried to not let herself enjoy the comforts of being here with Max, knowing that it wasn't going to last forever and not wanting to get accustomed to it. But slowly she let her guard down, taking her time in the shower, enjoying a warm bubble bath. The warmth of the bed big bed she and Max shared, having a fully working kitchen with all the fresh food she could dream of. She even found herself being a little greedy eating two slices of cake that night when Tris and Hana came over for dinner.

"I just came home to take a shower and change. Sorry, I missed dinner…" Max felt bad leaving her alone pretty much all day and now at night but he couldn't exactly parade her around and there was so much to be done.

"Hana and Tris were able to come by for a little while…You're planning a war Max, you can't stay here with me all day" She shrugs as he sits down and undoes his boots.

"Uriah and Zeke have been busy, otherwise they would be here to see you, same with Harrison"

Natalie understood. She was excited to meet her nephews but all of Max's team had been burning the candle at both ends. She was shocked Hana and Tris and managed to get away as much as they did.

"Good to see you out of that sling" Max smiles as he stands up and takes his shirt off, noticing Natalie wasn't wearing the bandage or arm sling from getting shot.

"Ugh, me too… I feel good as new thanks to that healing serum…" she trails off as she watches his muscles flex with the motion of taking his shirt off.

Natalie licks her lips. Things had been so chaotic she couldn't remember the last time they made love. It had to be weeks prior, before their escape back to Dauntless.

Max slowly unbuckles his belt and chuckles as he watches her crawl across the bed to him noticing she was only wearing one of his t-shirts. She stands on her knees in front of him and rubs her hands, palms flat across his chest.

"I love it when you wear my clothes…'" he whispers before capturing her lips.

Natalie moans and throws her arms around his neck. Max quickly grabs her and lifts her against him. She wraps her legs around his waist as they continue to kiss.

"I need you inside me Baby" Natalie whispers moving her mouth to his ear. She doesn't know what came over her but she couldn't think of anything but Max.

"Come shower with me," he groans squeezing her ass as she continued the assault on his neck... He had so much to do but he couldn't pry himself away from the love of his life right now for nothing in the world.

"Oh, I plan for us to do more than just shower…" She grins and laughs when Max slaps her ass as he carries them to the bathroom.

An hour later, Natalie is sitting on top of the kitchen counter while Max heats up the leftovers from the dinner she had made earlier that evening in the microwave.

"You know I was thinking, everyone could use a break. I have eyes everywhere and I feel we will be in a good position. I'm going to Candor tomorrow to talk to Jack again and then to Amity to bring them up to speed… And since Hana's birthday is on Sunday I think we should have a family dinner."

Max chuckles when he sees Natalie's eyes light up at his idea as he takes his plate out and sits it on the counter between the two of them. He takes a bite of the fried chicken on his plate on the counter and moans at the taste. He was glad his woman could cook. Natalie reaches over and snatches one of the pieces of chicken off his plate.

"I can finally meet Uriah and Zeke." Natalie grins as she takes a bite.

"Hungry?" Max teases as he watches her devour her piece of chicken.

Natalie giggles. She was starving even though she'd eaten three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes gravy, and corn earlier that evening. That would have been enough for two days but here she was hungry again.

"You worked up my appetite" She shrugs.

Max grins and leans over toward her. She leans in the rest of the way and their lips meet in a swift kiss. He doesn't miss the way Natalie looks him up and down when they pull away. He chuckles as he goes back to his plate.

"As soon as you finish eating, I'll be ready for round two…" Natalie tells him biting her bottom lip.

Max moves to stand between her legs and pushes up the large shirt of his she was wearing over her hips and enjoys the shiver of her body as he runs his hands up her body.

"I don't know what's gotten into you tonight, but I like it.." Max reasons.
