The confirmation comes the following week. Ricardo's back on the road, doing a couple of last few indy events when his phone rings. He flushes and waves at the wrestlers milling around before ducking outside to answer in peace. "Hello?"

It's the owner of the school in Egypt who had hired him, and worked ever since to get him back in. He nods and listens and nods some more, then swallows hard when the guy finally confirms that Sofia, Alicia and little Andre would be allowed in too. It's a lot to think about, especially with more variants out there, but Ricardo thinks they'll be fine once they actually get to Egypt. Especially if Alicia succeeds at finding some design work out there.

He smiles and taps his fingers against the side of his car, eager to tell her.

When he does, however, she falters a little, quickly recovering. "That- that's so great," she says with a smile.

He watches her through the phone screen, trying to decipher the look in her eye. "Have you changed your mind, Alicia?"

She winces, looks away. "It... it's not quite that," she says with a sigh. "It's just a lot is going on. And Andre is still so small. But I definitely do want this. I miss you too much when you're gone."

He smiles at her, relieved. "Don't worry, Sofia and I will take care of as many things as we can, we'll make this as easy on you as possible."

Alicia's eyes are soft as she stares at him. "At least we still get the holidays in the States, right?"

His smile softens, grows fond. "Exactly! We can see our friends and then go have the time of our lives in a new country. It'll... it'll really be great, Alicia. I promise."

She smiles at him. "I trust you. I swear, I am looking forward to this. I've always been super fascinated by Egypt."

He grins. "I know, I've been planning for months things I"d like to show you."

He just hopes, with everything in him, that it goes as smoothly as he keeps insisting to her that it will.
