"Look," Alicia breathes out. "It's... amazing."
They've so far been all over suburban areas, downtown, scoping out various options- houses in their price range, apartments with enough bedrooms for them, the kids. Places close to where the more common wrestling federations work to make it easier for him, especially when Alicia gets further along in her pregnancy.
Lambent light spreads lazily over the surface of the wood floors and Ricardo smiles as he takes in how it seems to also make Alicia's skin glow. "So this is it?" he asks softly, wrapping an arm around her, feeling her stomach, stroking along her hips.
The realtor joins them at some point, going on about rectilinear streets, how easy it is to drive cars and ride bikes, or even go for lengthy walks, along the neighborhood. "You'll appreciate it when your kids are older," she says with a smile, eyes flicking down to where his hands are resting before she looks back up into their eyes. "So, what do you think?"
"I love it," Alicia says, tugging on his arm, refusing to let him remain obdurate about this. "We'll take it."
He shrugs, deciding to go along with her, and not procrastinate any longer on it. They've waited long enough to confirm to this move. "Yeah," he says. "This is our house now."
She giggles and twists around, throwing her arms around him. "I love you so much," she breathes against his lips, kissing him again and again.
The realtor chuckles and turns. "I'll give you two a few minutes to acquaint yourself to the house more."
Ricardo hums, waiting until the realtor's footsteps have faded away before hoisting her up into his arms. She squeaks and loops her arms around his neck and shoulders quickly, clinging with a breathless kind of laugh, before he carries her into the biggest bedroom and sinks down to the floor. "This is our bedroom," he tells her, staring up at ceiling. "We're gonna spend the rest of our lives right here, laying at night, holding hands, talking. Making love, holding our babies through storms and when they're sick. We're gonna have more kids than bed, and wonder how our lives got this great."
She giggles and clings to him and breathes softly as he grazes his fingers over her warm skin. "And I'm gonna fall deeper and deeper in love with you every time I wake up to you laying next to me in this room," she breathes out, sighing as he nods against her. "Ricardo..."
"Our first night here," he says softly. "We're gonna have the biggest bed we can fit in here right here. And I'm gonna hold you a lot like this and make it up to you, all of the last few months. I know it hasn't been easy, and I'm so very sorry, madre. You deserved better."
"You were suffering too," she tells him, resting her forehead to his. "I should've seen the signs, and I'm sorry. If anyone should've seen..."
He kisses her, adjusts her position in his lap, and holds her. "You have nothing to feel guilty for," he tells her softly. "I was hiding it from myself as much as from you and all of the rest of our friends. You've been more than I ever could've asked for through all of this. Supporting me, always being there when I needed to talk or just to see you and Andre's faces. Dropping everything you were doing just to be there for me. Agreeing to this move without an issue. I don't deserve you."
"I disagree," Alicia says with a smile. "And I can't wait until we're all moved in here and we can..." She sighs softly. "We can make love. Not to make it up to each other for anything, but just... because I miss you. And I know you miss me. And I..." She hums. "I can't wait to feel you."
He smiles at her. "I can't wait either," he says. "And now that we've got this sorted, it won't be very long at all."
She nods. "Finally."
He chuckles, his laughter shaky and full of adoration.
"I want to decorate this place really wild," she muses against his lips. "Doggerel. Loose. Anything goes."
"Works for me," Ricardo breathes. "I always have adored your style."
She giggles. "And I yours."
He smiles and slowly stands, careful to settle her on her feet. "C'mon, Foxy. Let's go buy ourselves a house."
