It's a quiet, lazy day. Sofia is audible from down the hall, humming while she cooks or talking to Andre who is sitting in his booster seat, watching her and thudding his spoon repetitively against his tray. The twins are sleeping, and should probably be napping for another couple of hours before needing fed again, so Alicia and Ricardo are taking advantage of the time and are laying in their bedroom, lights off, drapes drawn tightly closed.
Ricardo stirs and looks up to find Alicia watching him with a small smile. "Well," she says, leaning in to kiss him. "I haven't heard anything from WWE about this weekend."
He makes a face. "I'm sorry, I know you look forward to it sometimes."
"I do," she muses. "But it seems like they're just not bringing back a bunch of older names. Maybe one or two from Texas, but... ya know, not me. I think I'm ok with it. I'd rather stay home with you guys, be lazy."
"We could all watch it together," he suggests, lazily stroking his fingers up and down her spine. Just have a lazy weekend spend on the couch, catching up on things. I know I could use it."
She smiles. "I love the sound of that. Would that be Andre's first full wrestling event?"
"I think so," Ricardo says. "Whatever he can stay awake for, anyway."
She chuckles. "Yeah. We'll need to try it. if he falls asleep, that's ok."
"That's what pause buttons were made for," Ricardo agrees, kissing her on the jaw. "So if we're going to do that, then..." He carefully pulls away from her and heads for the door, sticking his head out into the hallway. "Sofia?"
"Si?" she calls back over Andre's soft babbling.
"Alicia and I are planning on spending the weekend at home. You done for a PJ party on Saturday night for the Rumble?"
There's a pause as Sofia wanders around the kitchen, stirring a few things bubbling on the stove. "Si, mi hijo, I think that sounds fun."
"Fantastic," he calls back. "It's just going to be a quiet, lowkey night."
"I'll prepare some snacks early," she calls after him. "Don't worry about a thing."
Ricardo shakes his head, smiling. He knows there's no point in arguing with her so he ducks back into the bedroom, closing the door behind him and returning to the bed, walking up it on his knees until he's straddling Alicia once more. "She's looking forward to it," he murmurs against her skin.
"Great," Alicia sighs, trailing her nails down his sides and sighing softly when he cradles her jaw and kisses her intently. "Is it weird if I say I'm really glad that they don't want me to compete this weekend?"
"I think it sounds fair," he says, brushing his knuckles down her hip. "A weekend off is good, we should probably do it more regularly."
"Won't hear any complaints from me there," she sighs, curling her fingers in his hair and drawing him closer for another kiss that deepens the longer they hover against each other, sighing and gasping softly.
